    Hi..,
      There you wl get column seperators with seperate blocks and cells in the grid anyway.
    Maintain gap between columns is nothing but grid breaking, its may be possible with oops concept.
    Let me know whats your requirement?

  • Flex charts: How to increase space between columns?

    Hello!
    I just added columnWidthRatio: 1; to my mx|ColumnChart to fatten up my columns a little. But now, there's no space between the X axis and columns, and between the columns themselves, so how do I increase this space?
    mx|ColumnChart { marginRight: "50"; paddingRight: "50"; } has no effect.
    Thanks!
    --Dwayne

    Somehow setting width="400" did not change anything. I also tried:
    mx|ColumnChart { columnWidthRatio: 0.8; width: 1000; columnWidth: 1000; }
    to no avail.
    Anyhow, I've reduced my columnWidthRatio to 0.8 though as you suggested. It looks better, but I'd still like some more space between the columns.
    Thanks!

  • How to reduce space between cell border and text ?

    I want to make a very small print of my class timetable. But I can't reduce the table size after a certain size. The major portion is taken up due to space between the cell borders and the text in them. Is there anyway I can reduce that space so that I can make the font size a little more and still keep the table size small.

    Assuming your are using Pages '09 (4.0.3) ..
    First select all the cells which you wish to change.
    Go to Inspector - Text Inspector, and reduce the Inset Margin

  • Firefox issue  h:datatable give more space between columns

    Hi
    In our application we are displaying table by using <h:datatable>,it was working fine in IE but when i used an firefox it gives more space between one row of data and next data row.. my code is like this
    <a:outputPanel id="searchResults">
         <h:dataTable id="hotels" value="#{hotels}" var="hot" >
              <h:column>
                   <f:facet name="header">Name</f:facet>

  • Format color of space between columns

    Hey, this is probably a nobrainer but I can't figure it out on my own: I have a text box with three columns which is filled with a color. Now I would like to remove the color just from the space between the columns. it must be possible somehow, no? Thanks already for helping.

    One other benefit of using separate frames would be that you can apply things like rounded corners to the frames.
    Also, you could do it with one multi-column frame, by using fully justified text and applying thick underlines to all the text to create the background color. But the justified text won't look very good if the columns are narrow, and you can't make the underlines extend past the of the text.

  • How to reduce space between lines in Thunderbird

    newest TB update changed the look of TB with too much space between lines everywhere; would like to change back so to have more lines visible and not as spaced out in height, so I can see more folders and emails at once

    Interesting....as there hasn't been any changes in what you describe.
    Did you use a theme addon or the default theme?
    Check that no addons are interfering with the view.
    so restart in Thunderbird Safe mode.
    Help > Restart with addons disabled.
    If this improves what you are seeing then one of your addons is causing it.
    Process of elimination, disabling one a ta time to see which one it is. Maybe an addon needs to be updated.
    If you changed your screen resolution then it would effect the size of icons on desktop, all windows you open etc. Less dpi size increases the display items.

  • How To Reduce Space Between Text and Image

    I am trying to wrap text around an irregular shape in InDesign CS4. I used the pen tool to mark the outline of the image, cut the image, then selected the pen outline and pasted the image into the outline. With the TextWrap settings set to what is in this dialog box, text wrapping appears fine on the right-hand side, but has too much space on the left-hand side.
    If I try to reduce the space even further, it just affects the right-hand side of the image, not the left:
    It is doing the same thing for all of my irregularly-shaped images where I try to wrap text. How can I reduce the whitespace to the left of the image?

    Actually just noticed your text is already justified apologies.
    Couple more things you can try to improve this:
    From Control panel menu choose Justification and try using the following settings:
    Minimum
    Desired
    Maximum
    Word Spacing
    80%
    100%
    120%
    Letter Spacing
    -2%
    0%
    2%
    Glyph Scaling
    98%
    100%
    102%
    Also check that Single Word Justification is set to Full Justify.

  • How to reduce space between paragraphs in bullet list

    I am making a bullet list and I got it to work using CSS up to a point. The problem is that I need to put paragraph breaks between the bullet items and those paragraph breaks are huge, so my list is all spread out vertically. How do I make a break that is smaller, like a fraction of a line, but still keeps the bullet point set up?
    Here is the URL http://www.williambellomy.com/Amenities.html
    Thanks

    That's your table structure for the list at the bottom, which will explain the different spacing. The first list is all in one cell.
    I see you've got list items in separate cells on other pages too - it's not the most reliable way to do it. Keep your list together and use the margin attribute in your style sheets.

  • Reduce field size and space between fields

    Is there any trick to reduce the size of a field more than "normal" and the space between fields?
    I'm creating a form that looks like at table of 5 rows and 8 columns.
    Some of the fields is with list function, and they in special take more space than other fields.
    When changing the form layout in the web browser I could move the "listfields" to different places and suddenly I can for example reduce them from 124 to 114 that is the smallest I have seen them. Also if try to reduce the same field later it just pops up from 114 to 139.
    The space between fields is also annoying large when I try to keep this form as small as possible.
    Why am I asking for this?
    I know I can increase the size of the form, but I want it as small as possible for the smartphones.
    The "listfields only contains number from 1 to 9, so they can be very small.

    Hi,
    We currently have minimum widths defined for each field type. It shouldn't be possible to reduce the size of a field below that minimum width. If possible, could you please share your form with me ([email protected]) to allow me to investigate the behavior that you are seeing with your "listfields"? Also, could you describe how you were moving fields when you saw the field width reduce from 124px to 114px?
    Instructions for sharing a form can be found here - http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2462.
    Currently the spacing between fields cannot be modified.
    Regards,
    Brian

  • How do I reduce the space between the images in the fotopage?

    Hi
    I have made a Photopage - and some of the Photos are croped and when I add them to the page there is a loot of space between the one above and underneath
    look at this screen shot
    http://skitch.com/baiaz/n8un4/iweb
    or go to my photopage:
    http://web.me.com/baiaz/Adino/Galleri/Sider/UKE1.html
    Then you will see what I mean.
    Is there a way to make them more even???? So the gap is not that big when I crop the photos?

    The photogrid is square. Your pictures are rectangle. That's difficult to fit.
    To change the settings of the photogrid, click on an image.
    You can change the number of columns, the spacing between the images, the numbers of lines for the caption and the number of pictures on a page.
    It's all there.

  • How do reduce the space between the front panel and the display area

    I am trying to reduce the space between the front panel and display area but i am not able to reduce the space

    A picture would be very helpful in demonstrating what you are having trouble with.
    Lacking that, I will guess.
    VI Properties >>> Windows Size
    lets you define the minimum size of a FP window.
    Well that's my guess!
    Did I win?

  • How do I reduce the space between lines in a JTextComponent?

    I've searched pretty thoroughly in this forum and can't find an answer.
    My editor displays text fine, but I'm not happy with the space between lines. Is there any way I can reduce the overall height of each line just to close the gap a little?

    Okay, I've got it worked out. I reckon it will work for my purposes although I have yet to test it in my app.
    The trick is to use a negative value for the StyleConstants.setSpaceAbove(spacing2, -5.0f);The code below shows a comparison between a text pane with default spacing values and a text pane with that -5 space above value.
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import javax.swing.text.*;
    public class TestTextPane extends JFrame
    public TestTextPane()
         super("Text Pane Test: LineSpacing");
    JPanel panel = new JPanel();
    setContentPane( panel );
    JTextPane textPane = new JTextPane();
    textPane.setFont( new Font("monospaced", Font.PLAIN, 12) );
    textPane.setText( "abcdefghijklmnop\none\ntwo" );
    SimpleAttributeSet spacing = new SimpleAttributeSet();
    StyleConstants.setLineSpacing(spacing, 0.0f);
    StyleConstants.setFirstLineIndent(spacing, 0.0f);
    StyleConstants.setSpaceAbove(spacing, 0.0f);
    StyleConstants.setSpaceBelow(spacing, 0.0f);
    StyleConstants.setUnderline(spacing, false);
    StyleConstants.setItalic(spacing, false);
    StyleConstants.setBold(spacing, false);
    //this line sets the attributes for the text specified by the first two arguments.
    textPane.getStyledDocument().setParagraphAttributes(0, textPane.getDocument().getLength(), spacing, true);
    JScrollPane scrollPane = new JScrollPane( textPane );
    scrollPane.setPreferredSize( new Dimension( 200, 200 ) );
    //set up the comparison
    JTextPane textPane2 = new JTextPane();
    textPane2.setFont( new Font("monospaced", Font.PLAIN, 12) );
    textPane2.setText( "abcdefghijklmnop\none\ntwo" );
    SimpleAttributeSet spacing2 = new SimpleAttributeSet();
    StyleConstants.setLineSpacing(spacing2, 0.0f);
    StyleConstants.setFirstLineIndent(spacing2, 0.0f);
    StyleConstants.setSpaceAbove(spacing2, -5.0f);
    StyleConstants.setSpaceBelow(spacing2, 0.0f);
    StyleConstants.setUnderline(spacing2, false);
    StyleConstants.setItalic(spacing2, false);
    StyleConstants.setBold(spacing2, false);
    //this line sets the attributes for the text specified by the first two arguments.
    textPane2.getStyledDocument().setParagraphAttributes(0, textPane2.getDocument().getLength(), spacing2, true);
    JScrollPane scrollPane2 = new JScrollPane( textPane2 );
    scrollPane2.setPreferredSize( new Dimension( 200, 200 ) );
    panel.setLayout(new FlowLayout());
    panel.add( scrollPane );
    panel.add( scrollPane2);
    public static void main(String[] args)
    TestTextPane frame = new TestTextPane();
    frame.setDefaultCloseOperation( EXIT_ON_CLOSE );
    frame.pack();
    frame.setVisible(true);
    }

  • Align text between columns with space after paragraphs.

    I am creating a proposal with a ton of text. I used to align everything to a baseline grid with justified type and indented paragraphs. Recently, however, I was asked to change the style to left aligned text with spaces between the paragraphs. The text flows into two columns per page, but I'll be damned if I can get the text to line up. I've tried different baseline grids as well as before and after spacing. I think my issue might be trying to keep paragraph spacing as half the leading. If my copy text leading and baseline are 14 or 7 pt, will a 7 pt paragraph space after work?
    My leading and pt size is below, if anyone can point me to a solution.
    Body copy: 9 pt font/14 pt leadingSpace before/after: 3.5/3.5
    Subheaders: 10 pt font/ 14 pt leadingSpace before/after: 7/3.5
    Baseline: tried both 14 pt and 7 pt

    That's what I thought. I was taught to either have an indented second paragraph or to separate the paragraphs by half the leading of the type. Seems like it's impossible to align the text that way. A full leading separation (14 pt) between paragraphs seems excessive though.
