Refer a Friend Promo Disappeared?!

Today I was attempting to extend my contract on an eligible line to secure $49.99 pricing on a Moto X 2nd gen on Verizon Wireless (where I am a current customer obviously). After confirming my eligibility, confirming my identity, & declining a protection plan, I was directed to a page that showed an eligible promotion the device had qualified me for; there was a $20 Gift Card reserved under that line's number with an expiration of July 7th 2015. The only other option was to decline use of promotions and finish checkout. I selected the promotion and continued checkout at which point I accidentally closed the window. I reopened it only to find I would have to go through the confirmation & verification page again. After submitting , the promo page no longer listed the Refer a Friend promo as applicable. When viewed from my cart, there is no mention of the promo specifically, but a small italicized dialogue States promotion will be delivered separately via email. This is dialogue remains despite my inability to claim it post window closure. Do you think the promo was eaten because I had not completed checkout but claimed the gift card or do you think that the promo was applied to the purchase in question and will be emailed as stated??? I don't want to complete the order until I know the status of the promotional gift card, in case the problem can only be remedied prior to the completion of the order...Additionally, what's up with the lack of friends & family in store pickup? I've seen it a few times and don't think its Best Buy's place to restrict saved primary pickup people depending on the item. Either the purchaser can make it to the store or cannot. After the item's purchased and the order is fulfilled, the designated pickup person should be allowed to pick up the purchased item using their photo ID as with any other order.

I can attempt to recreate the conditions under which I was offered the gift card & provide you with a screenshot, but its unlikely to happen as Terms & conditions state only one line per account regardless of how many have registered for the promotion is eligible for a $50 gift card per promotion of its kind per calendar year. Please let me know what you think. Additionally I've found that after purchase, a Sale has added the bonus item Phillips Hue Lux Starter Kit in Soft White (Reg $79.99) FREE with purchase of a Moto X 2nd Gen (among other devices) + 2 year contract. Having satisfied the requirements of this promotion hours prior to its addition, if the gift card is still unaccounted for & I'm within the allotted time of exchange, can I still get the bonus item? I have no interest in returning the plan or the device itself, as I like the device just fine. I simply want one of the incentives I've qualified for to offset the cost of purchasing the device at Best Buy.

    It seems the Refer a Friend on my site is being used to generate a pile of SPAM.  I have the CAPTCHA on the form but it doesn't seem to be doing a great job of preventing abuse of the form.  How can I stop this?

    Testing the form current the captcha appears working.  I also noticed that the last spam was a week ago so not sure if any changes have been made on your end since I see the option to "enforce captcha for refer friend" is currently enabled within your site.

    I would recommend monitoring this and if you notice another influx of spam entries after today please open a support case referencing this thread and we'll dig deeper on what might be causing this.

    I have exactly the same problem on a 4S on iOS 8. Have tried uninstalling, deleting FMF from backup, resetting phone and restoring from backup, but the problem remains. Sometimes the icon appears on a backup Home screen in iTunes, but it never appears on the phone itself. The app is accessible by going to the store, purchases and opening it from there. The app appears to have been running the whole time, but becomes invisible anytime I return to the home screen.

    Do you still have a "Refer a Friend" offer for either the existing customer or the potential new customer?  How do you sign friend up?

    Every time I try to use the Refer a Friend website I get a pop-up with the following message:“Currently, the XFINITY ® Refer-A-Friend program is focusing on the needs of our customers and employees are not eligible. We are working diligently to make the program available to our employees as soon as possible.”  When I click to close the message, the whole page closes and I'm returned to the Comcast home page.  Have spent the past 3 days on 6 different phone calls to Comcast (when I can get through - both toll-free numbers I have frequently report "the number cannot be completed as dialed".)  There are no options in the voice mail tree for "other" or miscellaneous, so I had to guess which line would be least wrong.  On the first call they tried to refer me to the website I had just told them wasn't working.  I was at work, so I had to hang up before the agent figured out that I needed some other solution.  On another call customer service put me on hold for 10 minutes looking for a phone number for the R-a-F program.  The number they finally transferred me to was for the 3rd-party fulfillment company that sends out the gift cards and which has nothing to do with the actual program.  While I was on hold I got a call on my cellphone - it was the survey from a previous call to Comcast.  What a pity there was no way to answer any of their questions with a negative number.  I have a friend who I have all set to quit Uverse and go with Comcast to get the kind of bandwidth I have for almost the same price ($32 a month for 15 Mbps vs my $40/mo 75 Mbps), and I feel like I've earned the $100 as a commission.  So I'd like to get it.  (H*ll, they should give me a $100 credit just for putting up with their broken phone numbers, lack of email addresses, overseas call centers and crappy Interactive Voice Response system.  My Xfinity TV and internet service have been largely trouble-free (I provided my own DVR, router and cable modem, of course) and tech support is fairly decent.  But general customer service is pretty much the worse I've ever encountered - and that's coming from someone who had landline, internert service from dial-up through DSL & Uverse and cell phone from AT&T for going on 30 years.  That should give you an idea of the sheer awfulness of Comcast CS.

    You have to sign in on mobile first. Then click on the little person icon in the top right hand corner of the page. Click the More tab on the next screen to open the drop down. Then click the settings link. There is a field on the next screen labeled mobile signature. You can paste HTML into there like you do on the desktop site. I emailed the HTML to myself so I could copy it easily. You do not want to be typing HTML into your phone.

  • Refer-a-friend in E10

    Anyone got any advice on an E10 refer-a-friend set up? I have built this in several systems that were not set up for it, so I have my preconcieved ideas on how to make it happen. Just curious if anyone else has already done this in E10.

    I figured out a workaround that involved setting up a campaign that sent invitations out to prospects, on behalf of our sales reps, that had 2 assets: a form and an email. We are not integrated with our CRM or Outlook, and needed something that sent personalized emails and messages were not suited for social sharing as others mentioned. So, this is what I came up with.
    The form was configured to write data into two new fields I created on my contact records named "Sales Rep" and "demo date". When my sales reps would go to the form they'd select themselves from the new drop down list I created and would also fill out the the rest of the fields for the person they were sending the email to: first name, last name, email address, company name, demo date. The sales rep and demo date field values were pushed into the new contact fields and the other data was pushed into the respective contact fields.
    The real magic was the most work - creating signature rules for each one of my reps. We have nearly 250 sales reps and relatively high turn over, so I started this pilot with just one region of sales people (about 30 reps) and decided I would utilize this method as other teams required it rather than proactively create them all. You can upload users, which does help, and you can find the template for uploading users (signature users in this situation) via excel by searching the support site. Once the users are set up in the system you have to make sure you have a signature layout and a signature rule created (under component library in E10).
    The signature layout is pretty straight forward, you just set up what fields you want to show when the email is sent on behalf of that signature user (make sure whatever fields you want are fields that you uploaded when you created your users).  The signature rule is where things take awhile. Basically what I did was create the rule to reference the sales person field I created and then defined the value as each person from my dropdown list of sales reps and then matched it with the corresponding sender/signature user.
    The final piece was the email - I just created an email with a field merge for first name and the demo date fields I referenced above, and then inserted the signature block.
    When configuring the email in the campaign builder, just make sure that you select "signature" and then send using dynamic signature rule (the one you created above).
    And that really sums it all up

  • SID Showing instead of friendly name after renaming the server

    I had to rename a windows 2012 R2 server and after I rename it, Sever is showing SID instead of user friendly name.
    Even when I try to add new domain group or user in any resourse of this server, the friendly name disappear, soon after I hit apply button.
    So far I have done the following
    disjoin/rejoin - same result
    disjoin >delete AD account > Rejoin - same result
    I confirm that I have see the new server name in AD. DNS is OK too. Could find anything (i think) related to this problem.
    I can see the following errors
    1. The server {9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout. EVENT ID 10010
    2. The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not determine if
    the user and computer accounts are in the same forest. Ensure the user
    domain name matches the name of a trusted domain that resides in the
    same forest as the computer account. . Event ID 1110
    3. Netloon server could not add the autZ RPC interface. The service
    was terminated. the following error occured. " Not enough sesources are
    available to compete this operation  Event id 5820
    4. The UAC file Virtulatization service failed to start due to the
    following error: This driver has been blocked from loading.Event ID 7000
    I have not deleted the computer account in the second time. Then
    rejoin but this time i didn't get the message but the issue with SID
    showing instead  of friendly name is still there. These are related , i
    can see

  • Promo Pricing Using DIMP for ORPOS v13.x

    We have been successful in using DIMP for importing everything except for changes to promos. We can create and process the initial promo XML successfully and the prices ring correctly on the register. However when we try to do the following scenarios, we are at a loss as to how the XML should look like:
    - End 1 item on a multi-item promo early
    - Change the price of one item/loc on an existing promo
    We have made the 'changetype' = UPD and DEL and the file is imported successfully by DIMP with no errors however nothing is updated in the database. The original promo still reflects all the same items and original promo prices. Below are the XML examples of the initial promo and then two examples of us trying to end/delete 1 item off the promo. We are confused over when a UPD or DEL changetype should be used and whether the FillType should be FullIncremental or DeltaIncremental.

The refer a friend program is a great and easy way to get your hands on some gift cards, so it’s disappointing to learn that the offer did not prompt back during your second attempt to check out after accidentally exiting the window.

  • Photo's on Facebook and Farmville have disappeared. How do I get them back?

    My photo's of friends have disappeared on Facebook and Farmville and I cannot get them back! How can I retrieve the photo's? I had a problem with my 1st account and stopped using it and opened another account under the same name and I tried to delete the 1st account and all of my photo's disappeared. My personal photo is just a full face shot. The first account photo was of me on the beach which I want to delete.

    It is possible that you accidentally clicked the 'Block Images' item in the right click context menu while trying to save an image.
    Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See [[Options window - Content panel]]
    A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (''Site Identification'' icon) on the left side of the location bar and click the "More Information" button.
    This will open the Security tab of the ''Page Info'' window (also accessible via Tools > Page Info).
    Go to the ''Media'' tab of that Page Info window.
    Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow.
    If an image is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box ''Block Images from...'' then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

  • Tell a Friend form

    I created a form througha website called emailform.com (or something like that). The form was a site feedback form with a simple with 4 fields : visitor's name, visitor's email address, a box for a subject and one for comments. It also had an image verification field.
    I want to create something similar, where somebody can refer a friend to my site. Does anybody know of any snippet code out there that will let me create that form? I haven't been able to find anything too useful on Google.

  • Tell a friend about a web page

    I need to set up a link that lets a vistor send a tell a friend email from any given page within the site. Not neccessarrily through a module. Normally I would use a pop-up form and cgi script. What can I use in BC? (Other than just a "mailto" link)

    As a note to be clear, that is currently the only way to add refer-a-friend, through a web form. The custom refer a friend form has been removed (existing forms will still work). Due to varius issues with its form process aspx as it lacked key elements the web form aspx as to prevent things like spam.

  • Facebook App - cant see friends friends

    I am unable to see my friends friends on Facebook. When a friends page loads I see the icon for friends but once the page fully loads the friends icon disappears. I have tried to logging off and logging back on. I have removed the Facebook app twice and re-installed it. Nothing seems to work. I am able to see my friends friends if I log in through the Internet but not through the blackberry app. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I tried going onto the Facebook Help Discussion forum but there doesn't seem to be a helpful answer. It would be nice if Facebook had an open discussion forum similar to Apple Discussions but it seems like they already have pre-established questions. I can't even send a message to their Help department.
    So I thought I'd give it a try on here to see if anyone can help...since there are "500 million" Facebook users out there and anyone who has a smartphone probably already has the Facebook app.
