@ambarish there is no such place which contains all the BASIS articles.
you have to drill out for the information in online from the different sites.

i am new to basis .is there any material which i can follow .....except help.sap.com how to start about basis ?

The SAP press book about system operations is pretty good. I've made good use of the Amazon feature to search inside the book when I need to find something that might not be in the appendix.
I've also used the "Made Easy" line of books back in the 3.1H/3.1I/4.0B days but I'm not sure what they are like today or even they still exist.

Trying to connect an XBOX 360 to my airport base station via ethernet cabl

Hello,
I have the older snow airport base station and was trying to connect my xbox 360 to it via an ethernet port. There are only 2 ethernet ports on the snow base station. one is being used by the cable coming from my dsl modem. the other free port i tried plugging into my xbox 360 to no avail. the xbox cant get an ip address. the open ethernet port on the base station is labeled with the circle logo. the one being used by my dsl modem has the two outer pointing arrows. I turned off the airport to my macbook and tried to connect my macbook to that port my xbox was in and it would not connect to the net either. Is it possible, i have the ports backwards. my wireless internet for all 3 mac computers works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Yes, you have the ports connected backwards.
The WAN port is labelled with the "circle of dots" icon, and must be connected to your DSL modem.
The LAN port is labelled with the "double-headed arrow" icon, and that is where you connect ethernet cabled devices on your LAN.

What is surprising is that you haven't previously run into all sorts of problems with your existing setup. Once you cable things properly, you will likely have to power down your DSL modem and Base Station for a while (sometimes just an instant, sometimes overnight). After waiting, plug the modem into power and wait a minute. Then plug the base station into power and wait for it to restart.

Emails can not be saved to drafts, emails can not copy to sent.

Email will not save messages as they are typed to drafts. Emails when sent can't save messages to the send box. Are they still sent to the recipient? The alerts that come up say "message append failed" Disc quota exceeded and "alert" The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds a temporary size limit of the server. The message was not sent, try to reduce the message size or wait some time and try again. Another couple of questions... Is this a problem with disc space on my computer or a problem with disc space on the server? My local disc C says 124GB free of 178GB and my local disc D says 266GB free of 266GB. Will I receive messages while this problem is solved? Thanks a ton for any help. V.

I get no audio when running news videos from home page

I get no audio when running video on firefox but everything works correctly using explorer or opera

It could be a couple of things. You might have accidentally muted audio for Firefox. The article Knowledge Base article [[No sound in Firefox]] will show you how to check.
If that doesn't work, you should look at [[Video or audio does not play]]. This will show you how to troubleshoot any plugin/extension issues that might be impacting your system.

Pages refuses to open files and export

I have become incredibly agitated as Pages will save a document then refuse to open it without any reason-does notr say it is corrupted, simply comes up with message '(doc name) cannot be opened. Also, when working on pages it has started to refuse to export docs into word and pdfs. Occassionally it will export one type and then refuse to do other, also without reason.
I activated IWork after the trial period ran out so I am confused as to how to reinstall it without it being on a disk, if I need to do so.
Any ideas?

When an application that was working correctly stops doing so the cause is likely corrupt preferences. There are a couple of ways to check this out. Log in as another user on your Mac & see if the behavior continues.
If you have a particular document you want to try to open in the other user, move it to the HD > Users > Shared folder. Unless permissions are set for other users to read & write you may get a message that a copy will be opened.
Quit Pages & then delete the com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist from HD > Users > [your account] > Library > Preferences. Then restart Pages & see what happens. You will have to reset some Pages preferences.
If it were just one document, a trick I learned in the AppleWorks forum & has worked for some Pages users, is to save the document in iWork '05 format (use a different name) & then open it in Pages 2.
You can reinstall iWork from the restore DVD that came with your Mac. Just make sure you have your serial number written down to reenter it. Apple has written an article, Knowledge Base article 61802 on restoring the software than came with your Mac. Reinstalling, though, will not remove the preference files, so they will need to be moved manually as above. There is also one for Keynote in each user's Library as well as the com.apple.iWork06.plist in HD > Library > Preferences which contains the serial number. It is unlikely that this preference file is corrupt.

Extreme Syncing Problems

Whenever I try to sync my ipod (second Generation), bad things happen. First off, When itunes opens up, it normally says that it cannot connect to itunes store. Though when I go to the store part of itunes it works fine. Second, I always get a problem (-42408) Third, my ipod is in a restoring loop. Not the kind where you have to restore it right after you already restored it. I try to sync my ipod, itunes says restore it, I do, I lose all of my data, itunes takes too long so i give up on getting my apps, pictures, and other information back except music. Then I have to do it again the next time I want to sync my ipod. This all wouldn't be that bad i don't think, if my laptop was faster. It's so slow that itunes normally freezes quickly. This could be causing parts of my problems, but i tried my brothers laptop as well and it did the same. All I want is my apps, pictures, music, and all my information to stay on my ipod when I want to sync it. It that so much to ask? Well I would greatly appreciate some help. Thank you to those of you who at least try.

To me, I seem to be following logical steps, and I would prefer not to have to scrap all settings that have been in use for 4 years and start again,
You haven't done anything wrong and you did follow logical steps, but the "replace an existing base station" function has never worked for me either.
When things like this don't work right away, sometimes you're better off scrapping all your settings rather than spend time trying to figure out what's wrong. The good news is that your previous Extreme still works so you can copy all its settings, even if you have to enter them all again manually.
I'm a bit confused about your configuration. Is your router different from your Extreme? Assuming that's the case, you were right to power your router off and on, but some ISPs require more than that. Is it possible your ISP is using access provisioning? See this KB article: AirPort Base Station: ISP provisioning may prevent Internet connection via broadband (cable or DSL)
Also, if you're using an external router, such as if your gateway equipment is a combination modem / router, your Airport's connection sharing should be set to "off" (bridge mode).
Try powering your external modem / router off for a longer period of time. The reason for the power down is to give it enough time for its memory to reset - some require only a moment, but I've heard of some that require several hours. Some have a tiny reset button. Still others have an internal battery that has to be removed.

This issue is related with Uploading of Photos in HR Module. There my ABAPer got some Authorization Problem, he says. here i have posted the Query what he has explained to me. please go thro' it and let me give sugessitions reg that from Basis side.

Yes.. most likely an authorization issue... you can trace the user via ST01 or just check SU53.

Where is link to re-install original OSX Appleworks after a crash?

Hello,
yes i am re-installing on my G3 iBook, i need the link to download the original program as the updater is only that. I had the program in my computer and have several music instruction books, designed using Appleworks. Can anyone please help with this. I am a registered apple buyer and user.

AppleWorks will be on the install disk(s) that came with your iBook.
Here (from a previous post by Peggy) are the links to the two articles describing how to reinstall software from the disks that came with your iMac.
Apple has written two articles, Knowledge Base article 300316 on installing AppleWorks 6 and Knowledge Base article 61802 on restoring the software than came with your Mac.

Command Line Arguments Return/Echo

I am calling a standalone LabVIEW 7.0 based application from the command line passing in user arguments. This works fine. However, I would like to output status/strings back to the same command line window that the application was run from. The best I could do was calling a batch file containing 'Echo' commands from 'System Exec' inside the app but this outputs the data in a new command line window, not the same as the one used to run the app. Anyone know how to do this?

This article Knowledge Base 2C7F28O9: Error 2 (Memory Full) When Using the System Exec VI is the closest I know of that may do what you are looking for. If this or any of its related links do not help than I do not believe that it is possible.

Extreme Preloading Problems

could really use some help, i've searched the topics and

Extreme setup problems

I hope that someone can give me some advice in doing something that I thought would be easy to do (I dare not tell my non-Apple friends that I am having this problem, as I told them it would of course be easy to do because it's Apple!).
In an attempt to overcome some problems with signal strength and interruption, I have just bought a new dual-band Extreme to replace an old-type Extreme. I connected the new Extreme in place of the old one and connected it to the internet as before (Ethernet to router), and powered the router off and on, with no equipment changed except for the Extreme.
I then turned Airport on, which showed a new network, which I selected, then I opened Airport Utility (5.4.1), which showed the new base station. I selected the option not to switch wireless networks, and it then showed a window with a suggested Airport Extreme Name, and I filled in the Aiport Extreme password, as before.
It then gave me 3 options: Create new Network; Replace existing base station; or Join current network. I chose the middle option (replace base station), and it then asked me to select the device or network to replace, so I chose to replace the previous base station configuration (as opposed to the previously used network). It then showed me the Internet Setup details, which were correct, and I added the previous password.
Then it showed the Summary page, which was as before, including the network name as before, except that the Airport Extreme name was the new one. I clicked on Update, the Extreme restarted, and its light went solid green. But, when I turned Airport on, there was no sign of anything, and iStumbler also saw nothing.
I then removed power from Extreme and modem for 15 minutes, but nothing changed on reconnecting. I have tried this whole process three times yesterday, and although I can't swear that I did everything exactly the same, the end result was always the same (but this time, I wrote everything down and took screen shots before starting and at every step). When I removed the new Extreme, and replaced it with the old one, everything immediately worked perfectly again, and when I reset the new Extreme, iStumbler can see the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks with their default names.
To me, I seem to be following logical steps, and I would prefer not to have to scrap all settings that have been in use for 4 years and start again, in case nothing works even with the old Extreme. What stupid thing(s) have I done wrong, please?

I try to get component img1 in bean:

Why do you want to find "img" in this way?
You can use the property binding and then you have a img in your bean.

I need to reinstall Appleworks 6 on my iBook G4, but I don't know where to find it. I checked the disks I got with the computer, but it wasn't on there... Is there a place I can download it from?
