REG : Null Pointer Exception for RFC values
Hi All,
I am facing peculiar erro in code.I need to check the null entries in SAP server then it should be replaced by space and if not null then should be replaced by the value in backend.But it is throwing null pointer exception
I am using equalsignore case(null) and trim for space.
I am not getting why its is throwing null pointer exception.Kindly advise

Better to give it any Constant like

rather than space ,at the time of chceking see if it has DEL_VAL12 if true then put the actual data else let it be there.

Continue fix for BLZ-262: null pointer exception on redeploy of web app/servlet.
Remove finally block in servlet init() as the call to destroy() in the catch block will clear ThreadLocals
if there is an error. Move it to the end of try block instead since the init() thread doesn't need any
thread locals set.
Log the startup error before calling destroy() in init() catch clause.

I had a similar problem under WebLogic 6.1 SP4 after deploying a war-file with
a bug.
After deploying the corrected file, it seemed that the old version was deployed
again.
Perhaps this behaviour will help you to load the new application/ejb:
- undeploy
- remove from targets
- move to targets
- deploy

I had found the issue. The queue takes object type messages where as I was trying with Raw messages.
Instead of AQRawPayload raw_payload = message.getRawPayload();
I need to use
AQObjectPayload raw_payload = message.getObjectPayload()
and pass object as input to the queue. -
Incomplete instances for multiuser login giving null pointer exception error

I am facing one problem about Weblogic workflow. We have developed an application
where number of users logs in simultaneouly.
When a user logs in, one instance of workflow gets created. So when more than one
user logs in, that many instanaces gets created. But it gives us the error like "Null
pointerexception". This is beacuse The instanaces which gets created were not getting
completed, they are incomplete. And when I delete these incomplete instances and
try to login one after another user, it works fine. But again when two or more users
logs in at same time we get the same error.
Can you please help me out solving this problem.

Rajesh PatilI have just found out that when this error appear, a folder called splash is created in the same directory as my project folder and the application that I just ran has appeared in there and I can run it from the files in that folder. I can't see anywhere in my code which specifies sending these files to a splash folder.
Does anyone know why this might happen and if this is related to the Null Pointer Exception Error?

We are trying to make an project where we can make a person register in our data base & after which he/she can search for other user.
The logged in user can modify his/her own data but can view other ppl's data.
We are in a phase of registering the user & that's where we are stuck. The problem is that after the login screen when we hit register (OK- button) the data are not getting entered in the data base.

Null Pointer Exception can occur in may instances , for suppose
1) when you create a Value Node with some attribute which has cardinality , and you have not
initialized the Node , then it would through Null Pointer exception ,
2) when you integrate the RFC and parameters you pass as input to the RFC are not set correctly
then there could be null pointer when you execute the RFC
3>or may be when you doesnot bind the node when using webservice then there could be null pointer exception
and there could be many occurances for the exception -

i. The null pointer exception was due to using a complex query I was using in the LOV query. I tried a simple query and that worked fine.

1.First check whether your agents are working and test connection to repositories. If everything ok, you might have changed your repository name recently.
2.When you export your work and master repository and import to another schema or database and whether you connect to your imported repository, you change your repository name in your first environment.
3.Correct order is first rename your Master Repository name, log off / log on and change your Work Repository name and check below fields in both your Master and Work Repositories in both environments.
Master Repository : SNP_REM_REP
Work Repository : SNP_LOC_REPW
REP_NAME column of MASTER_REP.SNP_REM_REP should be equal to REP_NAME column in WORK_REP.SNP_LOC_REPW.
You cannot see WORK_REP.SNP_LOC_REPW value in ODI Topology Manager and if you are changing your repository name you need to update value from database.
Change the value from DB, loggoff and logon the user and connect the designer again.

I can't figure out why I'm getting a Null Pointer Exception
I'm writing a program that calls Bingo numbers. I got that part of the program to work but when I started adding Swing I kept getting a Null Pointer Exception and I don't know how to fix it. The Exception happens on line 15 of class Panel (g = image.getGraphics();). Here is the code for my classes. I am trying to add values to dropdownbykey dynamically using this code:

processType.setFieldLabel("PROCESS");
IModifiableSimpleValueSet valueSet = processType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
Code is giving null pointer exception in the following line:
ISimpleTypeModifiable processType = attributeInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
How to Solve it.Its urgent.

so i changed the code to:

ISimpleTypeModifiable processType = attributeInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
processType.setFieldLabel("PROCESS");
IModifiableSimpleValueSet valueSet = processType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
The second point is: we can't modify the data type of mapped attribute in view controller.
So for that, we have to write that code in component controller.
