Reg : Routing creation using LSMW

Hi Experts,
I am trying to post routing details using the LSMW. when I am creating it manually it is going fine. But in the LSMW it is throwing an error saying 'Group canot be assigned to the material and plant'.
Could any of you provide me a solution for this.

If your structure assingment is correct. Then problem is not with the LSMW.
I think this is due to the test data that you are using it.
Could you please try to create routing manually by using your full set data, i think you face this error.
Please check with the functional consultant, he can answer the error.

Sales order creation using LSMW

Hi All,
I am creating open sales order (VA01) using LSMW where I am using BAPI: BUS2032 and Method CREATEFROMDAT2.
I need to pass multiple line items for the same Header data, but the LSMW is creating multiple sales orders with a single line item every time.
I tried giving "on_change_transfer_record" after Header record but that doesn't work.
Can anyone suggest any suitable solution for this using BAPI only other than BDC, report program etc.

PO creation using LSMW through batch input method

Hi, I am new to working with LSMW and i have completed a project for creating purchase orders using the direct data input method. I need to do the same using batch input method, however in the maintain structure relationship step, it is only allowing me to assign one structure to the recording that i have done, however in po creation we need separate (nested) structure for header and line item, could anybody help me past this please?

Hi Rudra!
OK, now you just know, why you have only one line, not multiple PO item lines. To get a dynamic number of items, you need a complex program - just like standard direct input.
If you need a field, which is not part of this program, don't try to write your own program for batch input - it's just to much work before you have a good result.
You can use Bapi method instead with BAPI_PO_CREATE1. This can handle a lot of fields and there is some documentation available how to fill the Bapi.
If this looks to complicated in the first moment, think about creation of POs via direct input and a small batch recording to change your additional field(s) afterwards. (You can select EKPO table to generate list of 'wrong' migrated orders for input in LSMW.) Use field 'Item' in the bottom of ME22 to position your desired line in first screen line, just change one PO-line after one other (every time a 'save' -> no problem with different number of lines / PO).

LSMW Step by Step Guide: Legacy System Migration Workbench is an R/3 Based tool for data transfer from legacy to R/3 for one time or periodic transfer.

Steps in creating LSMW Project:
Maintain attributes choose the import method.
Maintain source structure/s with or without hierarchical relations. (Header, Detail)
Maintain source fields for the source structures. Possible field types C,N,X, date, amount and packed filed with decimal places.
Fields can be maintained individually or in table form or copy from other sources using upload from a text file
Maintain relationship between source and target structures.
Maintain Field mapping and conversion rules
For each Target field the following information is displayed:
o Field description
o Assigned source fields (if any)
o Rule type (fixed value, translation etc.)
o Coding.
o Some fields are preset by the system & are marked with Default setting.

SA Creation using LSMW BAPI BUS2013

Hi,
We have requirement for uploading open SA in to ECC and would need your help in LSMW, after analyzing I think best option to upload / create open SA is using BAPI method of LSMW as there is standard BAPI available BUS2013. But I have never used this method before though I am well aware of recording method of LSMW. Please let me know how to proceed on LSMW using standardd BAPI.
Step1- Maintain Object Attributes is done -

How to maintain inspection type at the time of material creation using LSMW

I have a differnet Issue.
I am using a std. LSMW to create the materials.
But now using same LSMW i have to maintain Inspection types(ART-RMQAM) for the materials to be created.
How this can be done.
This filed is not found in any structures like BGR....to BMMH8
Can I create such a structure ??

Some need the hard answer: it is not possible in one go.
It is an embedded functionality in material master like classification, but it is not stored in a material master table.

Sales Order Creation using LSMW-BAPI.

While executing a 14th step in LSMW-BAPI,the IDOC is generated.While Testing the IDoc the values for the Header segment alone is displayed.The Segment sfor Item is not Displayed.Should there be any link between Header & the ITem.

"No valid material component found" when Routing upload using LSMW RCPTRA02

I want to upload routings through LSMW RCPTRA02 incluing routing headers, sequences, operations and component allocations. But systems appears error CM 101 "No valid material component found" . Does anybody occurs the same error before?
The materials truly exists in BOM component.

Routing Long text not populated using LSMW

I need help with the ROUTING LONG TEXT using LSMW. I'm using the standard LSMW direct input program /SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_IMP . I'm confused with NAME field while loading the data. I have tried to create the routing long text manually after successful creation i opened the Longtext at header screen and opened GOTO--> HEADER there i have seen TEXT NAME is constructed based on CLIENT || N || GROUP || GROUPCOUNTER || INTERNAL_COUNTER (CLIENT||N||PLNTY||PLNNR||PLNAL||ZAEHL - field names) I used the same logic to construct the test data for another routings which were created and doesn't have the long text. I have run the lsmw program and executed successfully but when i open the routing in CA03 i dont see the long text populated.
Test data used looks like this:

I gave you most of the needed information assuming you know how to do LSMW in the first thread itself.
You need to have the following fields in your source structure in addition to other fields like long text
MANDT
PLNTY
PLNNR
PLNAL
ZAEHL
In the step Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules assign the source field MANDT to the variable NAME and then again place the cursor on the variable NAME and assign variable PLNTY, (now you have two source field assigned to same variable) similarly assign all the remaining 3 source fields PLNNR, PLNAL, ZAEHL. (now you have 5 source field assigned to same variable).
Now select the variable NAME by placing the cursor click on Rule (Insert Rule) and select the radio button Concatenation .
Make sure that in your input file you have leading zeros for PLNNR PLNAL and ZAEHL etc. like below
50000089, 01, 00000001
Also, you don't need maintain the value of OBJECT, TDID, SPRAS, TEXTFORM as source fields. You can directly maintain them as constants in Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules by click on the push button Rule .

How to use LSMW on CRM for bulk master data creation?

I need your help to able to use LSMW on CRM for bulk master data creation. Below is described my detailed requirement; -
We have CRM 2007 integrated with SAP ISU (ECC6.0). As per business process all Business Master Data (BP details, Business Agreement details etc) and Technical Master Data (Connection Object, PoD etc.) is created in CRM and then it is replicated in ISU. We are going to start Assembly Test soon. Now we need to have all master data in place. Tool we want to use is LSMW.
Now can you help me right from scratch on how to use LSMW for bulk master data creation in CRM?
Please give me documents / links etc that is relevant.

These are some information which might be useful to you.
What is LSMW?
Legacy System Migration Workbench or LSMW is SAP standard program that can be used to easily load / change master data or transactions in SAP without any programming at all. It can be used to upload data at cutover, such as: open orders, contracts, materials, vendors, stock on hand. It can also be used in a production system to make changes to existing data. Very limited authorization checks are available on the transaction, so the use of it must be very well controlled.
One input file can be used to create all the views of the material master. For all the material types. Even if different views and fields are used for the different materials.
Steps to take
1. Create text file with data to be loaded
2. Set up and run LSMW

Validity date of condition records (creation of info records using LSMW)

Hello gurus,
we would like to create info records using LSMW with one condition record (PB00). This works fine, we just are not able to influence the validity of the condition record, it's always "creation date until 31.12.9999".
We tried to maintain the fields BKONP-DATAB and BKONP-DATBI, but that did not change anything.
Any ideas on this?

LSMW - Sales Order creation using IDoc

Hello,
I'm receiving a file containing different category of products and need to create a sales order (using IDoc or BAPI) per category. The input file contains UPC code, I use a SELECT statement to check the category and append the UPC code to the specific internal table .(one internal table per category). The issue I have is to do loop in all internal table and then to create a sales order. I have some difficulties to update item segment. Only one UPC is populated to the required segment. Please let me know if this could be done using LSMW.

You can use program RVINVB10 ( Direct Input ) to create Sales Order , Before you run this program you will have to create a file with data in specific format.
Read the documenatation of the program.
LSMw can help in formatting the data but beetr write your own progarm to format data and then run above program as LSMW has limitations and I am not sure what type of file you are getting. In you custom program you will have more control.

Master data Load for Substance Creation : Using BAPI in LSMW ?

Had any one did a Master data load for creating a Substance in SAP RM. If so please let me know the best possible option. I am beeing trying to figure out the option to load Substances and its IDENTIFIER / MATERIAL ASSINGMNET from my legacy system. But I am not geeting a clue to use LSMW. ( Direct or BatchInput )
I am not seeing any BAPI for uploading it through the LSMW except the one BUS1077 ( method SAVEREPMUL ) and I guess this is used along with IDOC.

I will try this option what you have suggested. Even I told by business team to look for CG33. But they were been telling me some format issue. Probably they would meant the same what you have said. But they were not aware of work around for this. your information is intresting.
The other option given to me was to create a recording for each and every Tab like Substance header / Identifier / Material assignment etc. seperately. Technically I don't feel good to create in that way. Do you think that is alernate approach.?

Transfer of Intercompany sales orders using LSMW

I have to Transfer the open intercompany sales orders using LSMW. Consider a scenario where customer places an order on sales org A with plant A. sales org A raises purchase order on Sales org B with plant B. The material moves from Plant B ie supplying plant to delivering plant A. THen it is delivered to custome from plant A. Can u please tell me whether i have to pass the suppying plant or it will be determined automatically. Similarly what about the purchase requisition no. Is it created automatically.

Hi,
The purchase requisition is going to automatically created incase of a intercompany order (ie nothing but the third party order). In this case of orders the line item category in the sales order would be TAS. The intercompany sales order nothing different from a normal order during the creation of the order, after that the operations will be different from the normal standard order. You can use the same LSMW which you have used for transfering normal standard orders.
The configs are going to be different in the system for intercompany sales orders compared to the standard sales orders. That is the problem of the functional consultant to take care.
