Reg: work schedule manually

Dear Experts
i have an issue .i have create PWS for 5 working days and SAT&SUN is Day off.when
i generate work schedule manually then the calendar shows Tuesday and Wednesday
Day off.i checked all the configuration.but i couldn't find out the reason.
   so please assist me in this issue.

In table V_T508A, Ref. date for PWS should be Monday, also V_T551A, 06 & 07 should be off.

    afternoon shifts WED off
    night shifts FRI off
    while creating PWS i have assign dws accordingly but while generating work schedule manually its not showing proper off................
    i dont know where i m doing mistake

    Hi Experts
    In my organisation, people are working in this pattern, 4 days morning shift, 4 days off, 4 days night shift and 4 days off. How do I form a periodic work schedule for this? and the week is from Saturday to Friday. How to i specify this? Please help me.

  • Error while generating Work Schedules

    Hello,
    I am trying to generate Work Schedules manually. I have configured all the previous steps like creating daily WS, Period WS, assigning PSA grouping, assigning Public Holidays etc. When I generate Work Schedules manually, I get the following error message -
    Error while accessing public holiday calendar on 20110101
    Diagnosis
    The function module HOLIDAY_CHECK_AND_GET_INFO has generated an error.
    Please guide.

    Hi,
    First check the validity period of your Holiday calendar.  If it is until 2010, then the Validity needs to be extended beyond 2010, Write to SAP and ask them to extend the validity period for your Holiday calendar.  Once the validity is extende then generate the workschedules.  As of now generate the workschedules until 112010.

  • Holidays to be displayed in Employees Work schedule

    Hello Experts,
    While Generating daily Work Schedule Manually,in the selection screen system asks for ESG grp,PSA Grpng,Holiday Calander ID & year for which work schedule rule has to be generated.
    but when we create it or execute it,it only shows DWS on working days & OFF on Sundays.Why Public Holidays are not displayed on this?
    also in 0007,when i check work schedule tab,same thing happens.where can i see holidays in work schedule?
    Plz suggets some inputs.

    NB,
    After generation of work schedule you will get one screen in that screen for each and every day indicates with Five (5) fields out six fields four( 4) fields will be display all the dates
    The 5th  field will be displayed only for the particular day which you create as an holiday in that field it will displays the Holiday class which you define while creating the holidays
    ex - 1 - for Public holidays
    Five fields will be as follows
    1 - Date of the particular day
    2-  Day type of the particular day (0,1,..)
    3-  Daily work schedule rule for the particular day
    4 - If any variant is created for the particular day
    5 - Holiday class of the particular field ( it will displays only for the day which Holiday is defined) other wise it will be in disable
    If you want to check you can on specific date you defined the holiday

  • Regenerate work schedules

    Dear All,
    Can some one guide me in the process of regenerating work schedules? I have made some changes in the customization for defining rules for variants and I want the system to regenerate work schedules based on this change. Since nothing the generate work schedules selection screen is changed, It is not allowing me to generate work schedules saying that the work schedules are already present.
    How do I re generate the work schedules?

    Here is the steps to follow generating/regenerating work schedule rules.
    Set work schedule rules and work schedules: Path: SPRO-> Personnel Time Mgmt-> Set work schedule rules and work schedules
    Generate work schedules manually: Path: SPRO-> Personnel Time Mgmt-> Generate work schedules manually (PT01)
    Generate work schedules in batch: Path: SPRO-> Personnel Time Mgmt-> Generate work schedules in batch (OG00) Otherwise use this program: RPTSHF00
    You will have to check in PA0007 for at least one employee from each employee sub grouping to know whether work schedules are generated properly or not.
    Moreover if you want to check more details check these tables (T550A, T508A, T552A)results.

    After the path suggested above, the last but one step will be
    --- Set work schedule rules and work schedules
    Last step will be
    --->generate work schedules manually ---> Create work schedule -->click create all --->you will start seeing a calender for every month you specified.
    Eg: you specify that you need work schedule from march 2008 to Dec 2008, first march work schedule is generated.
    Save it. Hit enter to generate April calender and so on. Keep saving till the end.

    I think best way is to have your 10.00 or 11.00 as Date objects in the database, and to use methods of Date or Calendar to compare them.

And this counting classes are used in the counting rule. Can anyone please tel me what is the need of defining periodic work schedules with the counting classes.

    if there are multiple PWS in an organisation and if the client requires the absences to be counted in different manner depending on the PWS. this counting class can be used.
    use the appropriate check box in counting rule.

  • Work Schedule Mass Changes of Timing

    Dear All
    I have to change timings of different shifts and work schedules for the whole organization only for one month. We have almost 400 shifts and its not easy to change timings manually one by one. Is there any way for mass change.

    Basically  its a govt decisison to save enrgy.
    Timings of all locations has changed for one month.
    E.g Location1 orignal Time was 8:30 to 5:00 PM
    New Time 8:00 to 2:30 PM.
    Location2 Orignal Time was 8:00 to 4:00
    New Time is 7:30 to 2:00.
    Similary there is change in driver and machinery workers shifts and there are many locations.

    I have several questions on how work schedule in HR master data relates to the work center for capacity planning.
    1. How do we assign the employee to a work center? is that in the HR master data or work center or some other transaction?
    2. If we can assign an employee to a work center, how the work schedule in the HR master data feeds the work center capacity? Is there any button that I can control whether I want to feed the work center capactiy from HR master data work schedule or from manual input directly to work center?
    3. If I can feed the HR master data work schedule to work center, what do I need to do to reflect the vacation time or sick time which is not in the work schedule in the HR master data to the work center?

  • Customizing Error in Work Schedule

    Hello Experts,
    I am getting the following error when running time evaluation, "Customizing error in work schedule rule 4 w1 52 REG1/2UP", 2 personnel numbers are being rejected.  These two employees work during the summer.  We reorg them to put them on leave, Inactive,  so no acurals occur during the time they are not on the payroll.  When these employees return, we reorg them back to Active. This time when we brought them back to active, we get the above error during time eval.  I do not have  a work schedule rule 4 w1 52 REG 1/2UP in table T508a.  I do have work schedule rules 1 and 2 with w1 52 REG 1/2UP. These two emmployees  have work schedule rule 1 w1 52 REG 1/2UP.  I have changed the payroll status for retro calculation and I've checked that the employees do have IT0007.  Does anyone know where to look to see how the system is coming up with work scheudule rule 4 and how to resolve this issue?  Any suggestions are appreciated and points will be awarded to a solution provider.  Thanks.

    I have ran into this many times at work.  Generally for us, this happens when an employee is moved into a new personnel area on infotype 1, where they require a different work schedule rule.  However, infotype 7 was not updated for that same validity period and they have the incorrect work schedule.
    Example:
    Pers Area HYDZ
    requires work schedule ZIND
    Pers Area PSCC
    requires work schedule ZDTA
    The employee is in pers area PSCC until 12/31/9999 (with ZDTA on infotype 7).  They transfer the employee into HYDZ effective 6/1/2008.  However, infotype 7 was not updated and still has ZDTA.  As a result, the customizing work schedule error appears during time evaluation.  We have to create the infotype 7 record effective 6/1/2008 with the ZIND work schedule rule.
