Regarding BACK button

Hi All,
Iam in the BP_HEAD overview screen there i have a navigation link which takes me to BP_HEAD of the particular BP selected.
Now when i try to come back to BP_HEAD overview screen the data in some of the assignement blocks(Z) is not refreshed.
These carrry the data of the BP that was being called.
Any hints /pointers

Hi Rajesh,
Could you please more specific about your question. What data is not refreshed, are you changing the data in the second view and first view data is lost..?
Are the Z-Assignment blocks got through AET..? if so, all AET fields get the data from BOL, so does takes care of refreshing automatically.

  • Regarding BACK button in ALV OO ABAP

    Hi ,
I have created two screens with containers, first screen displays records in ALV grid and when user selects one or more records and clicks on release button (which i have created ), it should update the database field and displays the status report on the next screen.
I have also done another functionality i.e., when user double clicks on a particular record, it should call the change order transaction(IW32).
Now, the problem is when i select few records and click on release and after the status report i.e.,the secon screen is getting displayed.after coming back to the first screen if i double click on the record, it is going to the respective transaction(IW32).but when i click 'BACK' button in IW32,it is not going back at one click.i need to press so many times.then it is coming back to the first screen.
Can anybody help me how to go back at one click.

    Hi,
i thing the problem is in you internal table where you are selecting the record its still keeping the old selected record. you should refresh your internal table after first selection and than select for calling transaction.

  • Wrong folder pressing back button

    Hi gurus,
we are facing a problem with a custom button on the standard transaction IL03.
On the transaction we have created years ago a custom folder with a custom button that brings to another custom dynpro. When you access to this custom dynpro and press the back button you come back to the custom folder.
Now we have to add a new custom button on the custom folder using the same flow, but when we press the back button from the new custom dynpro we are not able to come back to the same custom folder, instead the system brings us back to the first standard folder of IL03, mantaining the title of the custom folder but inserting the standard fields of the first folder.
We used this code to call the program:
SUBMIT xxxxxxxxxx WITH xxxxxxxxxxxx  AND RETURN.
and in the xxxxxxxxxxx program we used this form
      IF SY-UCOMM = 'BACK' OR
        SY-UCOMM = 'STOP'.
        SET SCREEN 0.
but it seems not to work properly.
    Someone can help us?
    Thank you!

    Hi silfabb,
    replace the code section
    IF SY-UCOMM = 'BACK' OR
    SY-UCOMM = 'STOP'.
    SET SCREEN 0.
    with new code
    CLEAR SY-UCOMM.

    Guys,
Please clarify something for me, the JATO code is commented as follows
    protected void addResponseHeaders(RequestContext requestContext)
// These values should make any proxy between the client and
// server avoid caching, and ensure that pages from one user
// can never be seen by another user (if they're cached anyway)

    Can you clarify, please?

    Hi,
We observed the following difference in behaviour between JATO pages
    and NetD served pages.
We have the following scenario. User will login to the
site. After login he will get a frame set. This frame set has threeframes.
Top and bottom frames are used for navigation (to switch between various
sections on the site.) .The middle frame(main frame) shows the actual
content. When the the frame set gets loaded main frame shows page1. User
will click on a link on page1. Page 2 will be loaded in main frame. Atthis
point if the user clicks on back button , with migrated application(JATO
pages) the following message appears in the main frame.
In Netscape Communicator 4.61 the following message appears in the main
    frame :
    Data Missing
This document resulted from a POST operation and has expired fromcache. If
you wish you can repost the form data to recreate the document by
    presenting the reload button.
In IE 4.72/5.5 the following message appears in the main frame:
    Warning : Page has Expired
The page you requested was created using information you submitted in a
form. This page is no longer available. As a security precaution, Internet
Explorer does not automatically resubmit your information for you. To
resubmit your information and view the web page click teh refresh button.
However, in the NetD site page1 will appear in main frame.
How do we mimic the NetD behaviour with the migrated
    applications ?
We think the above behaviour with migrated Apps, is due to the
headers that are get set in Application ServletBase , see the following
    code snippet :
    protected void addResponseHeaders(RequestContext requestContext)
// These values should make any proxy between the client and
// server avoid caching, and ensure that pages from one user
// can never be seen by another user (if they're cached anyway)
    requestContext.getResponse().addHeader("Pragma","no-cache");
    requestContext.getResponse().addHeader
    ("Cache-Control","private");
If we comment the above code , we were able to mimic theNetD
behaviour. Are there any alternatives/thoughts on how to mimic the NetD
    behaviour ?
    Thanks in Advance,
    syam&ravi.

OK, here's what I'm trying to do: We have, like you said, a menu
page. The pages that it goes to and the number of links are all
variable and read from the database. In NetD we were able to create
    URLs in the form
    pgXYZ?SPIDERSESSION=abcd
so this is what I'm trying to replicate here. So the URL that works
    is
    pgContactUs?GXHC_GX_jst=fc7b7e61662d6164&GXHC_gx_session_id_=cc9c6dfa5
    601afa7
which I interpreted to be the equivalent of the old Netd way. Our
javascript also loads other frames of the page in the same manner.
And I believe the URL-rewritten frame sources of a frameset look like
    this too.
This all worked except for the timeout problem. In theory we could
rewrite all URLs to go to a handler, but that would be...
    inconvenient.

  • Problem in Back Button in ALV report

    Hi Team,
I have created a report which has a selection screen. Based on the input I am showing an ALV OO grid in my custom screen 0100. Now In the system toolbar on my 0100 screen I have enabled back, up and exit button. On click of which I am wrting 'LEAVE TO SCREEN 0. '
But it doesn't take me to the selection screen. Rather it throws me out of the transaction. Can anybody
suggest me a command so that when I click on back button it will take to the selection screen.
    Thanks,

  • In PS module transaction CJ40 after detail planning back button throws out

In CJ40 primary cost planning we come back to annual view by clicking back button now if i press back button system throws out from transaction CJ40 . rather to come back to element overview screen. Anybody can give me solution for this as the user suffer most during the cost planning of project having more than 100 WBS. if by mistake he click button in middle of his work . all his work lost and he has to do it again it should ask for saving or not . please give me solution
    Edited by: shab396 on Mar 9, 2011 6:07 PM

    Hello,
Are you uploading the data manually through transaction code?
It is better if you create a program to manage planning data and upload the data at one go. You will save a lot of time.
You can use FM 'KBPP_EXTERN_UPDATE_CO' for CJ40.
You can also go for BDC recording but if there is a FM or a BAPI available for it then better is to use FM/BAPI.
    Hope this helps.

  • Clicking on the Back button in web browser does not take you back properly

When using Info View and drilling down through reports (using the InfoView Portal in the "View my documents" settings of User Preferences), if you have drilled down through several reports and then want to go back to the page you were viewing before you drilled down one more layer using the browsers BACK button takes you back a random number of pages - NOT back one page.
Is there a fix or workaround for this?
    Thanks

There are some big differences if using say a webi report.
I just tested on XIR2 SP4 and back forward worked fine with CR drilldown, using the sample reports.
Could be a report design issue or something wrong with your deployment, maybe even a browser setting (not sure as I don't work reporting issues too often).
You can wait to see if someone else has run into this or open a message with support to have an engineer take a look.

  • Firefox was a good, but now it's slow and when I search google I have to refresh the page when I click the back button. This is driving me to other browsers.

When searching in goole, If I click on a link and want to go back a page firefox does not load the previous google search without refreshing the page. Because I use google frequently this is very annoying. Firefox has also been freezing and crashing most frequently of any of the other browsers that I have been driven to use. I'm not sure why I should keep it on my computer at this point.

Regarding the Google results page blanking out when you go back, this occurs when using a combination of three settings, which may be fairly common:
    * Zoom level higher than two steps (120%; the newest versions of Windows apparently default to 125%, which Firefox detects and adopts)
    * Google search set to instant prediction results (default on Google search, but can be disabled in Search settings, see [https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/186610 Google Instant Search Help])
    * Opening results in the same tab, then using the Back button to return to the results page (default on Google search, but can be changed in Search settings to open results in a new window/tab, see [https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/425 Google Search Help])
Firefox's cache feature attempts to maximize speed for forward and back actions by storing the last rendering of the page. Something about the instant prediction results ''with zoom'' is causing Firefox to briefly display the results and then they blank out and you have to reload the page to get them back. The mystery is why this only occurs (so far as I have heard) on Google? Is one of Google's scripts blanking out the page? Does Google care that it's messing up Firefox users?
For now, if you do not want to or cannot change any one of the three factors needed to experience this problem, you can disable the storage of the last rendering of the page. Then Firefox will skip the shortcut and lay it out fresh, which is known to work. As noted in earlier posts, you make this change using the about:config preferences editor.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered.
    (3) Double-click the '''browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers''' preference and change it to 0 (that's a zero).
This thread has a lengthy discussion: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/970863 When I go back to Google search results page, it takes me to a blank Google screen].

  • First time going to a site where I do not have access and clicking the back button I'm returned to the root site instead of the site I started from

    Greetings,
I have SharePoint 2013 enterprise using ADFS for authentication.  I have an issue where the first time going to a site where you do not have access and clicking the back button you're returned to the root site instead of the site you
    started from.
    ie:
    1) at site http://www.sharepoint.com/sites/finance/home.aspx
    2) browse to
    http://www.sharepoint.com/sites/finance/private/home.aspx
    3) receive a message: you do not have access to this site  ((oops went to the wrong location - I'll hit the back button))
    4) click the browser back button
    5) get returned to http://www.sharepoint.com/pages/home.aspx
This only happens the first time browsing to a site that I do not have rights to, after this I can browse to the same site and hit the browser back  button and return to the correct site, or any other site that I do not have access to.
Any ideas as to why this happens?  Ideas of where to start looking?
    Thanks

    Hi Robert,
From your description, when you receive access denied message and hit back button in browser, it redirects you to the root site but not previous site. However, this just happens at the first time.
You may try to use some tool or check log which can tell us how does it handle the request when you hit the button. And compare the issue time and non-issue time.
I'd suggest you use Netmon tool:

  • Branching and Using the 'Back' button

I have created a branching program that is essentially a
"choose-your-own-adventure." There is no quiz, b/c there is no
    right or wrong.
However, when you begin you have three choices. The user
selects one of those choices and goes to Slide A, Slide B or Slide
C depending on their choice. There, they have more choices to make.
From Slide A, their choices would take them to Slide D, Slide E or
Slide F. If they originally chose Slide B, the next set of choices
would also be Slide D, as well as Slide G or Slide H.
(And so on and so forth)
It has been recommended to me that I create a way for users
to simply hit the playbar's "back" button if a user is on Slide D,
and wants to go back to Slide A. However, under my current set-up,
I have two problems: The first: if they simply hit the back button
on the slidebar from Slide D, they will go to Slide C--a
acompletely wrong choice. Secondly, if I put a "Jump to" button on
the page, I actually have to put 2 on (one that will bring them to
Slide A and another that will bring them to Slide B) since you can
get to Slide D from both A and B.
This is a simplified version of my branching, and creating a
button for each page that a slide could go back to isn't feasible
and would probably be more confusing to the user than anything.
Please tell me if this doesn't make sense, or if there is a
way that I can do this.
To see the project and see what I'm talking about, you can go
    Here,
and then choose the "Is My TV Ready?" option.
    Thank you,
    Rob

    Hi Rob
Had a look at your program and think it is a great use of
    Captivate.
Regarding the "back" functionality, I would recommend to
custom build a button on each slide where you wish to go back. The
reason is that the back button on the play bar will always go back
1 slide in the actual slide sequence and does not take branching
into account i.e. it is a pure linear back 1 button. To make life
easier, I would suggest giving each of your important slides a
unique label, which would then make it a lot easier to:
Specify where the individual "back" buttons would jump to
View the actual branching in teh Branching view of Captivate.
    Good luck mate
    Andrew

  • Having issues with longMessage and back button usage

    Hello,
I have part of an app that consists of 2 pages. The first page is a set of checkboxes and an Analyze (submit) button. when the user hits Analyze, I commit the transaction and forward to the second page which displays the checkboxes they checked and some other information regarding those choices. If a user wants to change their answers, they use the browser's back button and change their choices, then click Analyze again. This is working fine.
I now want to add a longMessage to each checkbox above with some additional information about each choice. I've setup these up and they work fine; the dialog box launches just fine when they click the little (i) icon.
So that's the status quo; here's my problem:
    Scenario
    1. User clicks one of the longMessage icons
    2. clears that box by clicking OK
    3. then hits Analyze to progress to the second page
    4. now user hits browser's Back button to go back to questions
    5. PROBLEM
At this point, all my checkboxes are blank. If I try to re-check one and hit Analyze, I get an error stating "No current row for View (XXXLProcNavVO1)"
If I don't ever click a longMessage icon, everything works fine. I can only replicate this if I follow the exact steps in the scenario.
So what is wrong? Why am I losing my current row in my VO when I use the longMessage?
I've included my CO from page 1 for reference below.
    Thanks!
