Despite the clear instructions given my the moderator, PM related questions are still posted to PLM forum and some of the active participant of EAM forum answers these questions in PLM forum. It would be nice if those threads are moved to appropriate forum, so that the relevant informations are available under one forum, also, PLM forum should be monitored regularly and inappropriate threads are to be moved to their respective forum.

I had used abuse reports for some, but numbers of such posts are many.

I hate to say this, but I often see the same thing, and I've never been able to figure out exactly what triggers selectability vs. non-selectability, but I suspect some of it has to do with tranparency flattening in particular, and possibly text wrap in cases where that comes into play. ID optimizes the PDF it creates, I think, and that might cause text, or even images, to be broken into chunks in funny ways. It occurs to me that turning off optimzing for fast web view might help in this regard.

LSMW cannot be used for data involving table control. U need to go in for a BDC session method for better performance .

How do you get an answer to a question posted in a Forum?

I posted a question in the Creating/Editing... Forum this week, but haven't received an answer - not even a "Nobody's ever had that problem before; sorry, no answer available" response. Is the Forum only made up of other users like me (albeit with significantly more experience and knowledge), or are there Official Forum Question Answerers who moderate the Forums?

I took a snapshot of a tiny corner of the doc and inserted that image. I don’t know if that will be enough to help define the problem.

Regarding rejecting my posts in abap development

Hi Moderator,
i have posted a query and it got deleted by moderator , the reason given "You haven't showed.........", after that i have again posted my queries by showing that i have already written my code and i get struck for a logic, which i am not getting.........again my queries get deleted saying "Please see the rules of Engagement....". as shown in the screenshot below.
My question is "if i know what to write, and how to write my logic, why i will post my queries".
So, can i know the exact reason behind rejecting my queries. Here is the moderator messages.

LOGIC QUESTION - Posting to an alternate account based on parent value

I need to calculate the value of an aggregate account and then if the value of that aggregate account is negative, post all of its base level accounts (whose values might be DR and CR values) to an alternate account stored as a property in the account dimension.
I started with the logic below with PKBS11002 being the aggregate account.

I tried removing the line
*XDIM_Memberset ACCOUNT = %AccountList%
but no luck
The two processes that I go through are as follows:
Unsuccessful process
Step 1: Import data
Step 2: Run logic as above
Result: No records posted
Successful process
Step 1: Import data
Step 2: Delete records that are not a parent of PKBS110022
Step 3: Run optimize to ensure update of OLAP
Step 2: Run logic as above
Result: Records posted correctly
What i did notice is that in the Unsuccessful Log contains "failed test:GET(ACCOUNT="#PKBS110022")<0 : 0<0"

Regarding problem in posting date after opening new year

Hi SAP Gururs,
I have just opened the new fiscal year thrugh OB52 and also made a new number range by copying the previuos year number range thrugh OBH2.
Now when i m posting the entries for G/l, Customer & vendors, everything is going fine but vendor entry is not posting thrugh fb 60 and error is coming that (Posting date < Entry date) and when i m taking the help the following msg is appearing Message no. /SAPDMC/LSMW_OBJ_080237.
Please provide help to the above issue. It is urgent.

Yes I h ave check that the number range is copied for 2008 & also the posting period is opened for 2008 for vendors.
Also i have posted few entries using t-codes FB50, FB70 & also FB60.
Only in case of FB60 the entry is posted for 1st April 2008 but not for 2nd April & onwards.
Please let me know what u meant by last line i.e entry date as posting date. What i have done is that i have try to do the entry by using the same invoice date & posting date i.e 2nd April, 2008. But still the same error is coming.
Please help to reslove the issue.

Dear i dont think so that you go for development of program. you can easily check the personal nos against their cost centers and the actual amount which is posted.
for this you have to follow the following procedure.
1. Go to T.code PCP0
2. double click on the Document Number you created.
3. Apply Filter on the "Wages Clearing Account"
4. Press the Select All Botton or F5
5. Now press the "Display Line Items" Botton or SHIFT+F1
You will get a list of all Personal numbers with Cost centers, wage types and Total Debited or Credited Amount against that personal number.

No, you should wait till the end of the Welcome video, when the message says it will restart to finish installation it means installation is still in progress, conclude the procedures.

"Questions"/"Posts" nonsense

This 'Question' nonsense is taking the compelxity of the new forums FAR too far. I have posted a real question today, but I did not mark it as a 'Question'. Therefore it appears in My Posts, but not in My Questions - even though it is a question. Without it being a Question, it isn't a question. And so I cannot award points to anyone who answers my question, because it wasn't a Question to begin with.
In a final piece of nonsense, the Help says "a Discussions topic is classified as a question by default", but also "When a topic is marked as a question, a question mark icon will appear next to the topic. This lets the Discussions community know that a member is looking for answers to a question."
Now, if anyone can figure out what the **** this all means, please let us know. I have marked this as a Question, so if you give me an Answer, I can give you points. But not otherwise. Or something.
Mods- come on, the old system was FAR more intiuitive....

You get 15 minutes after starting a topic to change its Question status. There's banner a message telling you that on the top of that topic screen...of course you have to know to go there to look for it:(

Regarding Parking and Posting access

The requirement for my client scenario is as follows:
There are about 6 company codes (lets name it as AAA) which need to be isolated based on the following rule:
Users belonging to AAA should be able to PARK as well as POST to all entities whereas Users belonging to other than AAA should not be able to POST to AAA. They should be able to POST to non AAA only and PARK everywhere.
Also a user who PARK's should not be able to POST.
Options which I have tried are -
- Created a separate role with activity 01 for the object F_SKA1_BUK and gave the AAA entities only and at the same time removed 01 activity for the same object in a separate role. The combination of these two roles gave the result as
- Was able to PARK and POST to AAA entities using FB01 (True)
- Was unable to post to other entities (Failed - user should have been able to)
- The person who parked was not allowed to Post (True)
The other combination with 01 activity to non-AAA entities and minus 01 activity to AAA entities:
- Failed to PARK to non AAA entities (Failed - user should have been able to) failed at 01 activity
- Was able to PARK to only non AAA. (True)
- Was unable to POST to AAA entities (True)
- The person who parked was not allowed to Post (True)
I came to know that this can be achieved by creating separate roles for posting and parking Tcodes and using SOD.
I have an already existing GL role - I removed all the posting tcodes in the original GL role so that it can allow only parking to all entities. Then I created a separate role and put all the Posting Tcodes in it and maintained the objects in the same was as they were maintained in the original GL role but here I have given only the AAA entities. Can some one help me in this approach.

The objects designed to protect posting of accounting documents directly in FI are F_BKPF, F_SKA1 protects the Chart of Accounts maintenance by company code.
You should generate two master roles, one with the activity 77 in all F_BKPF* Objects and other with activity 77 and 01
The first one only lets you parking documents. The second one parking and posting too.
Be careful with the tcodes you are going to use. The FB01 does not work if you don't have 01 in your authorizations for the F_BKPF_BUK object.
The Tcodes for excellence for parking documents are:
Invoices ( Vendors and Customer)
FV60
FV65
FV70
FV75
GL Documents
F-65
FV50

Maybe I tried too hard to inject humor into my post, but the issue I posed was real, and I sure would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix it. Here it is again, bad jokes and all:
Whenever I try to feed a CD or DVD into my computer, there are some slight whirring sounds like the computer is trying to read it, but CD/DVD icon never appears on desktop and then machine spits out the disk. My theory is that, with Apple promoting the iMac with the theme that "You can never be too thin," my computer has become bulimic. Apparently, images of unrealistically thin computer models are just as harmful as human ones. To increase my computer's self-esteem, I tried reading it favorable reviews from when it was introduced back in 2005, but this has not proven to be effective therapy at all. Please help before my Powerbook ends up lifeless in the corner of a closet like Karen Carpenter. Thank you.

Humor aside... let's try a little exercise.
There are a number of simple questions you leave open, but it seems you have had this computer for a while. Did this just start recently? Has it never worked? Is the disc put in shiny side down? Etc?
So, for this time let's try something...
Do you have a CD-R disc? Do you have pictures in iPhoto?
Open iPhoto and select about 6-8 pictures... go down to the Burn icon and click it... let it ask for a disc... insert it... if it burns it, let it finish and eject it.
Next, close/quit iPhoto. Now, insert the disc... iPhoto should open and load the pictures, and/or tell you they are duplicates and do you want to keep the original or replace it with the one on the disc. At this point, you can refuse and eject the disc.
If this works I'd say there is either nothing on the disc's you are trying to load, or they are burnt in a full windows format, not the apple or the hybred. iPhoto burns in Apple format. Some other programs give you a choice. And I have found that some burnt on other machines do not always line up, track-wise, with my machine (I've had some music CD's do that to me).
So try that and see if it is you or where you are getting the other CD's from. We will tackle the DVD issue next if the CD works.
