  • Urgent regarding queries

    Hi all,
    In reporting how we find unused queries,workbooks & views and how we delete?
    How we evaluate queries,workbooks based on last used date and how we delete all queries not used within the past year.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Priya.

  • Regarding Queries in PS for Client requirement

    Hi,
    The scenario is service industry ex. House keeping service, Gardening services
    We are using Project system module for the above service industry.The modules which are being implemented apart from PS are SD, MM, FICO and HR.
    The Project duration is normally 1 year. The client requirements are as follows:
    1) Month Wise Performance of Planned and actual cost incurred are required for Resource (Man Power) and Materials
    2) Planned Cost of the Man power should be based on the Gross salary/Month and No. of days allocated in the project. ( Client is not acceptable to go far the average cost for a group of employees and definning the same as activity type). Each person in the project will have different salary structure.
    Pl let me know how to handle the the above scenarios.
    Rgds,
    Prasad

    Well,
    I answer on the man power thing:
    You will have to implement an HR mini master data set to use CATS to book the hours/days on the WBS elements. Then you have activity types with allocation to accounts per person.
    You could do a monthly transfer of the hours and book everything in months close.
    Best regards.

  • Queries related

    Hello,
    I have few more doubts regarding queries.Kindly tell me.
    1)List segments with more than 500M of free DB Blocks
    SELECT SEGMENT_NAME, SEGMENT_TYPE, TABLESPACE_NAME, EXTENT_ID, BYTES/1024, BLOCKS FROM DBA_EXTENTS WHERE BYTES/1024 > 500;
    2)List all the unanalyzed tables
    Kindly tel me how to find this.And kindly check the first query whether its correct or not.
    Thanks,
    928714.

    Your query has nothing to do with the question you appear to be asking.
    If you have questions about SEGMENTS the logical place to look would be ... USER_SEGMENTS, ALL_SEGMENTS, or DBA_SEGMENTS.
    Then it comes down to nothing more than:
    SELECT segment_name, segment_type, tablespace_name
    FROM dba_segments
    WHERE blocks > 500000000;Oops! just realized you were looking for free space ... not as easy to find in one query because that information is not stored in the data dictionary.
    Luckily Oracle has provided a procedure DBMS_SPACE.FREE_BLOCKS which you will need to feed using a cursor based on the above query so you aren't wasting your time analyzing tables with fewer than 500,000,000 blocks.
    http://www.morganslibrary.org/reference/pkgs/dbms_space.html
    Unanalyzed tables can be found with:
    SELECT table_name
    FROM dba_all_tables
    WHERE last_analyzed IS NULL;Edited by: damorgan on Sep 16, 2012 10:27 AM

  • OBIEE bypasses smaller aggregate table and queries largest aggregate table

    Hello,
    Currently we are experiencing something strange regarding queries that are generated.
    Scenario:
    We have 1 detail table and 3 aggregate tables in the RPD. For this scenario I will only refer to 2 of the Aggregates.
    Aggregate 1 (1 million rows):
    Contains data - Division, Sales Rep, Month, Sales
    Aggregate 2 (13 milliion rows):
    Contains data - Division, Product, Month, Sales
    Both tables are set at the appropriate dimension levels in the Business Model. Row counts have been updated in the physical layer in the RPD.
    When we create an answers query that contains Division, Month and Sales, one would think that OBIEE would query the smaller and faster of the two tables. However, obiee wants to query the table with 13 million records completely bypassing the smaller table. If we make the larger aggregate inactive, then OBIEE queries the smaller table. We can't figure out why OBIEE wants to immediately go to the larger table.
    Has anyone experienced something such as this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you try to change the sort order of the logical table source in your logical table ?

    Set the Aggregate 1 first.

  • BIA support 3.x queries/web templates in 04s

    Hello Experts,
    Do any of you know if the BIA supports 3.x quereis/web templates in 04s or must they be converted/migrated first before being able to be used by the BIA.  (Is the same OLAP engine used for both version of reports in 04s)???
    Thanks for your feedback.

  • Problem with Navigation Attributes when upgrading from BI 3.1 to BI 7.0

    Hello,
    I have the following problem that occured regarding queries during the upgrade from BI 3.1 to BI 7.0:
    As far as the queries are concerned it is not possible in the 7.0 system to completely rebuild them according to the queries in 3.1. More specifically this refers to a certain number of navigation attributes that cannot be integrated into the query. In this case the following error message appears: "Error in BW: Missing mapping partprov cha <-> multiprov cha". Moreover, this error message only appears when you try to include navigation attributes into the query that are all attributes of the same specific InfoObject.
    I have already checked in the 7.0 system if the relevant objects have the status 'active' and if the identification between the Multiprovider and the InfoObjects used is correct. So, is there anybody who may has another idea why this error message appears respectively who experienced the same/similar problem?
    Thanks in advance & Regards

    Hello Martin,
    yes, I've also checked the identification in the MultiProvider for the navigational attributes. There is nothing missing.
    I've also reactivated the objects.
    Do you may have another idea?
    Thanks and regards, Ines

  • Crystal Report Database Query

    Hi I would like to ask regarding queries from the database. I have 2 main tables that gets their images from 1 master table.
    First is TASK table and Second is ASSET table. Both tables are relational.
    Each Task has Asset connected by Task_Asset_ID.
    But both tasks and each assets may have also images from the Image table thru Assignment table. But I am wondering how could I query the data to show tasks with images and assets with images in one row.
    For example
    Task 1 may have Green.jpg
    Asset 222 may have Red.jpg
    Knowing that Task and Asset are relational, is it possible to show them in one row in crystal report?
    Task
    TaskID
    TaskName
    Task_Asset_ID
    1
    Task1
    111
    2
    Task2
    222
    3
    Task3
    111
    Asset
    AssetID
    AssetName
    111
    Asset1
    222
    Asset2
    Images
    imgID
    ImgName
    1
    Red.jpg
    2
    Yellow.jpg
    3
    Blue.jpg
    4
    Green.jpg
    Assignment
    AssID
    TaskOrAssetID
    ImgID
    Type
    1
    1
    4
    X
    2
    222
    1
    Z
    3
    3
    3
    Z
    4
    111
    2
    X

    Ok, this is going to get a bit complicated, but this is possible.  The problem is that the Assignment table records can have either TaskID or AssetID, so you're going to have to use some tables twice with aliases.
    Here's what I'd do...
    In the Database Expert:
    1.  Add all of the tables to your report.
    2.  Add a second copy of Assignment and Images - when you do this, Crystal will warn you that the table is already in the report and ask if you want to "alias" it.  At that point it will add the table with "_1" at the end of the table name.  So, you'll have Assignment_1 and Images_1.
    3.  On the linking tab, create the following links:
         Task.Task_Asset_ID to Asset.AssetID
         Task.TaskID to Assignment.TaskOrAssetID - make this a left outer join (see below)
         Assignment.ImgID to Images.ImgID - make this a left outer join
         Asset.AssetID to Assignment_1.TaskOrAssetID - make this a left outer join
         Assignment-1.ImgID to Images_1.ImgID - make this a left outer join.
    To make a left outer join, right-click on the join and select "Join Options".  Select "Left Outer" and save the join.  Left outer joins will provide data even when there is no matching value in the table that you're linking to - the values from that table will be null.
    In your report:
    1.  Put the following column headers on the report:
         Task Name
         Task Image
         Asset Name
         Asset Image
    2. Put the following fields in the details of the report:
        {Task.TaskName}
        {Images.ImgName}
        {Asset.AssetName}
        {Images_1.ImgName}
    3. Sort the data by Task Name and Asset Name.

  • Two problems in BSBM benchmark of Oracle 10g with Jena Adaptor 2.0

    Hi, all.
    I'm proceeding BSBM benchmark for Oracle 10g with Jena Adaptor 2.0.
    I'm using the codes that were introduced in Jena Adaptor 2.0 guide document, and I've applied Jena patches to Oracle 10g (10.2.0).
    But, two problems are occured in benchmark process.
    The first problem is
         that 250k dataset(consisted of 250030 triples) loading time elapses over several hours, (See below code snippet.)
    and the other is
         that exceptions are occured in some sparql query execution.
    I used below queries which have no error in query syntax.
    I confirmed that through other benchmark tests.
    In case of oracle benchmark test, quey1 is ok. but, query2 makes exception.
    Please, look about the Exception message below.
    What should I do for getting much better benchmark result?
    I appreciate any help or any hint.

    Hi,
    The data loading was slow because incremental loading API was used. Please take a look at OracleBulkUpdateHandler. There is an addInBatch API that you can use.
    Now regarding queries, Jena Adaptor v2.0 was primarily designed for Oracle Database 11g Release 1.
    Recently, a new version of Jena Adaptor has been released and it's optimized for Oracle Database 11g
    Release 2.
    Is it possible to run your BSBM benchmark tests against Oracle Database 11g Release 2 using the latest
    Jena Adaptor (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=1179) ?
    Thanks,

  • Commit and re-query

    I'm relatively new to JDeveloper and ADF and have a question regarding queries. I have a recursive master-detail that I'm trying to insert a detail record and programatically commit, re-query and insert a new record. I'm using a java bean on the commit button to set certain fields in addition to those set by the user. Here is the code I'm using:
    public String commitDetail() {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    DCBindingContainer bc = (DCBindingContainer )fctx.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{bindings}").getValue(fctx);
    Row masterRw = bc.findIteratorBinding("PartyFinanceMasterAcctViewIterator").getCurrentRow();
    Row currentRw = bc.findIteratorBinding("PartyFinanceAccountViewIterator").getCurrentRow();
    currentRw.setAttribute("SrcAcctId",masterRw.getAttribute("AcctId"));
    currentRw.setAttribute("AcctId",masterRw.getAttribute("AcctId"));
    currentRw.setAttribute("TrnsctnDte",masterRw.getAttribute("LockboxDte"));
    OperationBinding operationBinding =
    bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    OperationBinding operationBindingRfsh =
    bindings.getOperationBinding("ExecuteWithParams");
    operationBindingRfsh.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    OperationBinding operationBinding2 =
    bindings.getOperationBinding("CreateInsert");
    operationBinding2.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    return null;
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • "post" or "reject" parked Document ?

    Hi All,
    I am designing a WF for posting of parked invoices with BO - FIPP.
    At some approval level where 'X' person will post the parked Invoice , we want to give him the option of rejecting the document as well.
    If I am using tcode - FBV0 for post document , we have option for "post" but no option is provided for "reject".
    Please suggest how to go about it ??
    Best Regards

    Hi Priya
    Stuck with FIPP Workflow. You need to do Business Object Binding from Workflow to Task. This can be done by checking the Binding of TS20000166 in Workflow Template WS20000075. Once you do that you will get a link. If you click on the link you will get the TCODE in display Mode. I was expecting some mails from you regarding queries:)))). I have now turned into a Workflow Specialist in my company )). Please reward points if useful )). I thnk this wil be very useful.
    Thanks

  • Partitioning - query on large table v. query accessing several partitions

    Hi,
    We are using partitioning on a large fact table, however, in deciding partitioning strategy looking for advice regarding queries which have to access several partitions versus query against a large table.
    What is quicker - a query which acccesses a large table or a query which accesseses several partitions to return results. I
    Need to partition due to size/admin etc. but want to make sure queries which need to access > 1 partition are not significantly slower than ones which access a large table by comparison.
    Ones which access just one partition fine but some queries have to accesse several partitions
    Many Thanks

    Here are your choices stated another way. Is it better to:
    1. Get one weeks data by reading one month's data and throwing away 75% of it (assumes partitioning by month)
    2. Get one weeks data by reading three weeks of it and throwing away part of two weeks? (assumes partitioning by week)
    3. Get one weeks data by reading seven daily partitions and not having to throw away any of it? (assumes daily partitioning)
    I have partitioned as frequently as every 5-15 minutes (banking and telecom) and have yet to find a situation where partitions larger than the minimum date-range for the majority of queries makes sense.
    Anyone can insert data into a table ... an extra millisecond per insert is generally irrelevant. What you want to do is optimize reading the data where that extra millisecond per row, over millions of rows, adds up to measurable time.
    But this is Oracle so the best answer to your questions is to recommend you not take anyone advice on this but rather run some tests with real data, in real-world volumes, with real-world DML and queries.

  • Turn off Parallel Query for instance

    I have a new 10g RAC instance, on Windows 2003 64, which was just converted from 8i. It is currently a 1 node cluster. The database was built with parallelism turned on and now we are experiencing severe performance degradation. Quest spotlight keeps raising alarms regarding queries being forced to serialize. I have been told it would probably be better to turn parallelism off entirely (this is an OLTP instance). What parms and what settings do I need to set them to in order to shut of parallel query for the instance?

    There must have been a specific reason why it was built as an RAC database
    on a single node. Is it running 2 instances ?
    If there's no reason to be running RAC on a single node, you could shut down
    one instance.
    PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS determines the maximum number of ParallelQuery
    processes (not PARALLEL_SERVER ! PARALLEL_SERVER what was for OPS).
    Either
    a) you really need Parallel Query Server processes for some user queries
    and PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS is too low (forcing serialisation of queries)
    or
    b) you should not be using ParallelQuery
    b) is more likely for your OLTP environment.
    Therefore, you could disable parallelism at table level or set
    PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS down to 0.
