Regarding T Raja weblog Navigation between BSP Applications part I

Hi sdns,
This question is regarding weblog T.Raja Navigation between BSP Applications part I.My doubt is i have done it its working but i am not able to get the o/p data in the table here. I have revised the code twice & thrice not able to find the table which he used. In this code is there any table he used.Or else he provided data directly from the program.
I am getting the table but no data in it .I have checked p0006 it is an internal table.
If there is no data in the table how to enter data and in which table we have to enter the data.
And other thing i have noticed is .In the blog there are only few fields in tthe o/p.But in my program i got a lot of o/p fields.Please help me in this regard.

I hope you are talking about the table:model_id->I_detail. This table is declared in Model Class-ZCL_MVC_PERNR_DETAIL in Class attributes. Look at the screen shots in the blog. it will solve the issue.

FPM : Navigation Between two Application

Hi All,
I am developing an FPM application where, i need to navigate my control to another FPM application.
I have created navigation using Launchpad (LPD_CUST), it is perfectly working fine while testing but when we attached these component on portal Navigation is not working instead it is giving error "
Page not found. Refresh the page or try again later. If the problem persists, contact your Portal administrator for assistance.
Please guide me on this.

Question on passing parameters between 2 pages in a BSP application

Hi Group,
I have defined a page attribute "zcid" in both the pages where I need this attribute value. And in one page I calculated a value and assigned it to this attribute. And also I checked the attribute as "Auto" in both pages.
And I used navigation->set_parameter( name = 'zcid' and value = zcid ), I was getting an error saying, use "." after name and not proceeding any further.
Please let me know the procedure for accessing a value of an attribute in Multiple pages within a BSP application.

To pass the parameter,
Firstly the name of attributes should be same of both pages and the check of AUTO should be checked on target page.
I am giving you small example to pass the Firstname parameter from Default.htm to Result.htm .
the Parameter name in Default.htm is --> fname type string.
--> Auto should not check
the Parameter name in Result.htm is --> fname type string.
--> Auto should be checked.
in Default.htm inputprocessing use the code
navigation->set_parameter( 'fname' ).
navigation->next_page( 'TORESULTS' ).

Cookie handling & navigation across multiple BSP applications

This is my scenario...
I have a main BSP application (say YYYY) which is the user login application. The application class is ZCL_YYYY. This application will enable the users to login. This application will show up the list of other applications say (application AAA - class ZCL_AAA, appln BBB-class ZCL_BBB, etc). User can click on the application and navigate.
I am storing the password in server side cookie and during navigation to other application from my main application I am passing the user id in the URL (like http://....htm&user=mmmm). The other application will validate the user id against the server side cookie and then proceeds further.
I tried using client side cookie but it is working only with in single application but not across applications (I used response->set_cookie in initialization event of main bsp appln and request->get_cookie in the called application in request event).
Is there a better way in handling this navigation??.
My issue is sometimes(very rare cases but still an issue) when the traffic is more, one user is gets the other user's screen, that is when two users click application AAA at the same time, both the users are getting the same information (which is different for different users).

In my scenario, the user logging in is the customer (KNA1-KUNNR). All the BSP application are going to come in with the same SAP user id which is set in SICF. For SAP transaction user id is going to be SAP-WEB user.
The user logs in with the customer number as user id (we have web users for KNA1 created using SU05). The first will be the login screen where the customer enters his number and password. The user id and pwd is validated and then the list of applications page will get displayed (as far as SAP is concerned, the transaction is going to come in with SAP-WEB user id). Once the application is clicked, the password is stored in server side cookie like.. (since SAP user id is going to be same across it was passed as NONE)
call method cl_bsp_server_side_cookie=>set_server_cookie
    exporting
      name                  = v_customer
      application_name      = 'NONE'
      application_namespace = 'NONE'
      username              = 'NONE'
      session_id            = 'NONE'
      data_value            = v_pwd
      data_name             = 'NONE'
      expiry_time_rel       = 300.
In the called application, the cookie is retrieved (it should be with in 5 minutes) and validated again with customer id from the URL. If there is an issue in validation, navigation will go to login page again.

DATA: URL TYPE STRING.
CALL METHOD RUNTIME->GET_URL_SAME_SESSION
EXPORTING
 APPLICATION_URL
= '/sap/bc/bsp/sap/<BSP Application>/<page.htm>'
 RECEIVING
 URL = URL.
 CONCATENATE URL '?<variable>=' <CLASS_NAME>->Variable> INTO URL.
 CONDENSE URL.
 CALL METHOD NAVIGATION->GOTO_PAGE
 EXPORTING
 URL = URL.
Here, <variable> is parameter which you have to pass the next BSP application.
OR user Server side cookies.
Example.
Set the cookie use this below method,
CALL METHOD CL_BSP_SERVER_SIDE_COOKIE=>SET_SERVER_COOKIE
Get the cookis,
CALL METHOD CL_BSP_SERVER_SIDE_COOKIE=>GET_SERVER_COOKIE

i had two application in one webdynpro project. i am passing one url string in first application exit plug.

Everything is working fine.

Is there any other way to witch i can pass parameters from one application to other application without displaying at url.

Navigation between records in a JSP application

Hi,
I would like to know how to provide navigation between records in a tabular form liked JSP application using JDeveloper 3.2
without using the Oracle or Default template.
I can do it with a singular record view but not in a tabular view. I like to know now I can mimic the navigation provided in Oracle template in which the current selected record is hightlighted. Can we navigate between records using Up and Down
arrow key like in Oracle form instead of using Navigation Bar. Please provide details code.

The difference between Oracle Application Server AND WebLogic Server has been discussed in a lot of forums dated 2008 and earlier comparing OAS10g with WebLogic10.0/WebLogic9.2
But, now since Oracle has taken over WebLogic, this is not really important.
Now, OAS has no further releases post 10g. WebLogic Server will be the Oracle's strategic application server going forward.
So, if your query is for choosing one of them for a new environment, you are better of with WebLogic Server 10.3.6 OR WebLogic Server 12g
As we will not have further releases of OAS and also OAS10g will be end of life soon, we recommend Oracle WebLogic Server.

How to handle data between 2 bsp applications

Hello Experts,
i´ve got 2 BSP applications, users enter in application 1, do serveral actions there, and then jump into application no 2.
But, they need some data from application one for getting startet in application 2.
Whats the best bay to pass the data?
I don´t want to write them into a db table, also i don´t want to pass it via url (?field1=value).
Are there other possibilities?

Basically, I have a standard BSP application (HCM_LEARNING) on ECC5.0. I need to make it communicate with MSS team viewer.
HCm_learning is a big BSP application from SAP which enables self booking for course, training history data, courses attended, can view courses offered, prebooking, participation history, qualifications achieved, qualifications missing etc. It is a master piece BSP from SAP. It brings the data from the backend system through pernr.
in portal, a manager should see the qualifications of an employee and book courses for him if he misses particular qualifications. hcm_learning is a self booking application; if it communicates with team viewer: that is great. manager can pick a person (name) from team viewer and from there he can take of all the activities 'hcm_learning' does for an employee.
I have spend lot of time watching all the blogs, threads.. searching for this scenario. can not get right information.
is this scenario possible.
could any body tell me where i should look at for documentation. could you give me suggestions on this.

Hello BSP Gurus,
Newbie in BSP and want to create a BSP application that uploads PO data using Transaction ME21N. Its like this, an BSP application displays the Header and Line item data. and then I need to create a New PO by inputting the fields in the BSP Application.
