Regarding to sending workitem in PO.

Hi Friends..
Iam creating one workflow for Purchase order referring standard workflow 20000075.Whenever iam create a PO it automatically trigger that workflow
and send an workitem to approver for to release PO.Everything is fine
but i need to display popup window while workitem reaches SAP user inbox.
(like send express statement in sendmail task). So how can i achieve it.
i need not sending any mail to approver so its not possible to include sendmail task.so how can i achieve it..
Thanks in advance
Gowrishankar

Open the template in PFTC and click change.  Open the builder and double click on the node Release of purchase order(000093).  Select the 'Other' tab and change the step priority to 1 (Highest).  Save and activate the template and refresh the workflow runtime buffer using transaction SWU_OBUF.  Then start a new instance as the process is NOT retrospective.

  • How to send workitem to dynamic agents

    Hi all,
This is my problem, I have to send workitem to dynamic agents (number of agents vary).
I have the approver details in the workflow container, now i have to send the workitem to the apporvers, since the number of approver varies i am using while loop and i am doing container opreration for each loop. I have the apporvers details in a multiline container based upon this i have to send workitem to the first approver and after his decision i have send workitem to second approver and it goes on.
    Regards
    Balaji E.

    Hi all,
After struggling for 2 day i found the solution for my problem.
    My Problem:
I get the approver details from a function module and i call this function module in a method and through a task i pass the multiline container element (which is holding approvers details) to my workflow container. My problem is i dont know how to loop this multiline container element in my loop (while).
    Solution:
There is a macro to copy one container element to another container element it may a multiline container too.
    SWC_COPY_ELEMENT <SourceContainer> <SourceElement> <TargetContainer> <TargetElement>.
i used this macro while i run the method at first time and i copy this value to another container (multiline) element at this step itself.
In my next step i pass only the loop number (i have a workflow container element. and i increment this container element for each loop) to the method and in that method i read the multiline container element based on this loop number and i pass the result value to task-->workflow.
    From here i proceed further.
    Thanks all of you.
SDN Forum helped me a lot in this issue.

  • Error in sending workitem to outlook if Email id is not maintained in SU01

    HI Guys,
Right now i am working with PCR workflows. Here the approval will go both to the SAP inbox and the Outlook Inbox. For sending workitem to outlook i had scheduled a background job RSWUWFML2.
My problem is if the Email id is not maintained for the approving manager in SU01 Tcode, only userid is maintained, the workitem is being sent to SAP inbox and the workflow is getting errored because there is no Email Id for him.
How to resolve this issue i.e.workflow should also work fine if Email id is not configured.
    Regards
    Kumar

Sorry I read it otherwise....For the email to go to Outlook 2 approaches.
    1) Maintain email in IT0105 for the manager
    or
    2) Maintain the email id in the userid of the manager.
Otherwise how the workflow know which email id the email has to go.
    hope this helps

  • RSWUWFML2 - CONVERSION ERROR sending workitem out via SCOT

    Hi there,
Please help, I am using report RSWUWFML2 to send workitems to outlook, the email gets to outlook but it seems like there is a CONVERSION error that occurs in SAP that results in no workitem ATTACHMENT being in the email.
The error in the email is: "Message cannot be processed as it cannot be converted"
I turned on the trace in SCOT and this is the log....look at the sections in BOLD to see what happened:
SX_PERFORM_RFCSEND               G  <b>Formats supported: ALI INT OBJ OTF PDF RAW SCR URL     </b>
    SX_OUTGOING_VERSION_BUILD        G  Read contents of document RAW32000000034669
    SO_OBJECT_DATA_FOR_SEND_GET      G  Object transferred
    SX_OUTGOING_VERSION_BUILD        G  <b>Converting document RAW32000000034669 from TXT to INT  </b> SX_OUTGOING_VERSION_BUILD        G  Read contents of document EXT32000000011065

SX_OUTGOING_VERSION_BUILD        G  <b>No suitable conversion found for SAP                   </b> SX_GENERATE_NDR                  G  <b>Message cannot be processed as it cannot be converted  </b>
My apologies for the bad formatting above, was the best I could do from copy and paste from SCOT....
I have also looked at the "conversion rules" in SCOT.....could this be the problem? It seems to want to convert type "SAP" to something.....but there is no "SAP type" in the conversion rules?
PLEASE help, I really need to get over this obstacle
    Thanks
    Lynton

Not sure if this will confuse matters more but if I look in the LOGS further in transaction SLG1 I see the following:

        Selection Setting: x_err_tr =
        Selection Setting: x_alw_tr = X
        Work item 000001389473 being edited
        SAPoffice document RAW32000000034669 sent
        Work item 000001389473: Send ok

So this log looks fine BUT the previous trace from SCOT looks bad.....
    Any ideas?

  • Send Workitem from Sap inbox to outlook

    Hi all,
Any one please explain how to send workitems in sap inbox to outlook.
    What all configurations are needed?
    Thanks in advance

First you need to be able to send an e-mail from SAP Business Workplace to your e-mail address. If that's not in place you need to configure the e-mail connector or whatever it is called. Basis people should be able to help you with that. It not only involves setting up SCOT to transmit messages with address type INT, you also need to have jobs running on your application server to pass on the SMTP messages.
Once that is working you can start thinking about e-mail notifications for workflow. If you have transaction code SWNCONFIG in your system, you should use the extended notifcations that you configure there - that is SAP's recommendation. In order to use it it seems you must have SAP Web AS running.
The other alternative (unless you are on a release < R/3 4.6C) is the report RSWUWFML2.
For assistance setting up any of these three, please post your specific questions.
In both cases you need to have a sender address defined for the user that executes the report, any user sending e-mail must have an e-mail address in the user record.

  • Not able to send workitem to external email id or Lotus notes.

    Hi,
I am using standard program RSWUWFML2 to send workitem to external email id like lotus notes. When I  execute this program i get the message "Work item xxxxxxxx sent to xxxxxxxxxxx".
As per the documentation of the program, program should process the workitem and send the same to external mail id. Please let me know if i miss something.
Below are the settings i did for program.RSWUWFML2
    Job suffix                      2
Tasks (blank = all) : task name of the workitem to send is entered. only one task is entered.
    New Work item = X
One message per workitem = X
    workflow entry = X
    workitem = X
    workitem execution = X
    logs all =X

  • Create and send workitem

    Hi all,
I want to create an workitem without using workflow and send that workitem to the specified-user inbox. Any FM(Function Module) available for that. Can anyone help me with this because its urgent.
    Regards,
    Ramesh
Edited by: Ramesh Vinay on Sep 20, 2008 10:35 AM

    Hi,
As Arghadip was telling, for creating a witem, you need either a wflow template or atleast a single-step task with a triggering event. But, for creating a task that doesn't need the user action, it has to be a NON DIALOG task and i'm not sure if your BO has that task, coz your single-step task should use a method of the BO.
Instead of sending a Notif. to the Wflow folder, if you send a mail, it'll go to the DOCUMENTS folder which also serves the similar purpose. Ofcourse, you can Delete the mails in the Documents Folder.
Hope you got what i just said although I'm not sure if my explanation will suffice your requirement.
    Goodluck

  • Send workitem to two users

    Hi All,
I need to send a particular workitem to two users. One user is a fixed user and can be hard coded, the other user will be the initiator of the workflow. I have tried creating a container element, type SWD_AOBJID(dict data type radio btn)  with multiline with the fixed user as initial value in the container and used container operation, add to table assignment type, to add the second user. But the workitem only reaches the initiator.Need some help on this.
    Regards,
    Shantanu.

    Hello,
Check in the workflow log if the multiline container element really has two values and if so, if they're similar (eg both preceded by US). If so, it should work.
If not, try making it a multiline container like SWWWIHEAD-WI_AAGENT

  • Unable to send workitem in email

    Hi all,
I am using <b>RSWUWFML2</b> report to send mail to external email id. But i am not getting the email. My email id is maintained in SU01D. I am passing task no TSXXXXXXXX to the report. This task will send mail to my SAP INBOX (Got mail to my sap inbox).
I debugged the report and i foundout that the task i have created is not present in the table SWWWIHEAD. So data is not being selected for my task. I have no idea where i went wrong.
    Regards,
    Gautham

    Hi Gautham,
When you run the program without the tasknumber do you get any mails then? Also check if you set the option for only new workitems, if you did this could limit your selection. You could check in table SWWWIHEAD if your task is there.
    Regards,
    Martin

  • Send Workitem to external mail ID and Execute?

    Hi all,
I have requirement to send a WorkItem to Approvers External Mail ID and executes there.I have tried to send text mail to Approver's external mail id using Fm SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
It is working fine but how to send WI to external mail id?
    Is there any way?
    Regards,
    Arpita

    Hi AC,
there is a way out for the problem which you have where the user doesnt want to put his SAP userid and pwd and wants him to take directly to the SAP screen.
For this you need to create a shortcut in your SAP logon pad for the transaction.
and since you want him/her to go directly to the tcode, you need to put an entry in your sapshortcut.ini
    -pw "password"
So what this entry does is the moment user clicks the workitem in Outlook, it would directly take him to the t-code for which you have created the shortcut, without asking him/her credentials.
For your second issue, yes if 2 users get workitem, if any one reserves or executes the workitem, it automatically deletes from the other users SAP inbox.
    Hope it helps.

  • Regarding RFC Sender Communication Channel

    Hi All,
I am working on RFC sender channel, need some important information.
1). Can i use single RFC Sender Channel in Multiple Sender Agreements.
2). Can i use Program ID in Multiple Sender RFC Channels. I am having one RFC to File interface and another  RFC to JDBC interface.
Do i need to create 2 sender channels and 2 RFC destinations with 2 Program Ids????.
    Please give me clarifications.
    Regards,
    Balu

If i will use single sender RFC channel and Single Program ID for my all sender agreements, how that Single RFC channel
    will identify the information like
In our sender agreement we configure not only the channel but also the Sender Interface (in your case RFC)......this is the factor which defines what to accept......in broader term we use the same concept of channel re-use in other cases also and the same work fine because of this Sender Interface.
    I found Q28 interesting: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/730870
In first read it may sound confusing...but after some more rreads you will know what the answer means in the SAP note.

  • Regarding issue sender file adapter in clustered  environment(PI 7.0)

    Hi Experts,
we  are using  sender  file adapter in clustered environment(there are 6 J2EE cluster nodes in XI system) for an interface.the  file sender communication channel  for this interface  is scheduled to run twice  every day. recently   the   channel stopped polling (picking the files from the source directory) and i dont see any error.
when i open Communication Channel monitoring in RWB and select the file sender communication channel  and run it manually, none of the cluster nodes  are polling for the file.
i have tried   editing the communication channel in Integration Directory   and  activating  it. but it does not pick the file.
Can you let me know how  the issue can be resolved.
    Thanks

    Kausik,
A computer cluster is a group of linked computers, working together closely so that in many respects they form a single computer. The components of a cluster are commonly, but not always, connected to each other through fast local area networks. Clusters are usually deployed to improve performance and/or availability over that provided by a single computer, while typically being much more cost-effective than single computers of comparable speed or availability.
clearly your cluster nodes are out of sync...!!!!
It is possible that your ftp server went down for a while . And in the profile of FTP machine the entry of XI server is not made permanent .
    1. Try to ping the FTP site from XI server.
BTW are u getting any error msg at RWB ?

  • Require Configuration Details regarding JDBC Sender Adapter Parameters

    Hi All,
I have a scenario in which I need to read around 2 million records from an SQL Server table and process.
Since the data content is very huge, I have decided to split the data and execute.
So, in the select statement of my SQL Server Query, I used Select top(2000) from table name with my where condition.
In the update statenment, I used update tablename set my required values from (my select query written above).
    QOS -> EOIO
I have given the queuename as my tablename
    Poll Interval is "120" seconds.
My idea is to process 2000 records at a time.
When I am executing this interface through RWB, I am getting an error in update statement saying
The JDBC driver returned the following error message: 'com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Unable to start a nested transaction for OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server (serverdetails). A nested transaction was required because the XACT_ABORT option was set to OFF.'. For details, contact your database server vendor."
I have also tried in advanced tab the name of the variable as XACT_ABORT and its value as "ON", but to no avail.
Please let me know if I have missed anything. Do I need to set any additional parameters in the advanced tab of JDBC sender communication channel?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Kiran.

    HI Kiran
Fist of all suggestion is to increase the polling time. It may not process 2000 records in 120 second and you will poll again.
Paste your query to check if there is a problem
Also do check with SAP Note 831162 to verify if there is something you are doing wrong.
    Thanks

  • Purchse order workflow sending workitem to invalid person

    Hi,
I have a situation, where the user is receiving workitem mails to approve to outlook, even though he is not an approver. This is the case with only one plant. One more point is even in non-PO workflow, he is receiving the woritem mail execution mails, and plant is same as in PO workflow. Can anyone explain, where I can find the plant and this user relation and how it is happening.

    Hi,
Check his user id configuration for the Rules and responsibility configuation
    1. From the workflow see the rule it is using to determine the user id.
    2. Put that rule no in t-code OOCU_RESP
    3. Now see the rules and plant combination in which the user id is configured .
    Regards
