Register Cluster fails in Financial Management

Hi,
I've installed the HFM suite 9.3.1 on a windows 2003 server VMware.
SS, BI+ and workspace work fine but when i want to registre a cluster in HFM using the server and web configuration i get : server is busy with another process. retry of go to.. when i press go to the start menu opens so nothing else is taking machine capacity. When i try to register directly from the HFM desktop client it just hangs (i killed it after two hours).
Can someone please advise how to solve this?

Hi,
When you set up the cluster and setup, first the configuration tool uses the UDL file to build up connection to database. If you check your database sessions, you would likely to find that you have 8 sessions activated. Secondly, you may check in your databse to see if below 2 tables have records created from input of "server and web configuration".
select * from xxx.hsx_cluster_info
select * from xxx.hsx_cluster_servers
where xxx is your db user schema.

I setup multiple IP in my laptop as follows:

And I configured a domain with Configuration Wizard as follows:

The exceptions still remained, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Register SOA apps in Service Manager Fails

I am Oracle support for OEG.
I have a customer that is having trouble with registering SOA services in OEG Service Manager.
When they register normal Java web Services it is fine.
When they try to register SOA servers we get error:
"Please enter a valid WSDL URL"
OEG version is 11.1.1.5.
STEPS
====
Create SOA
- In JDeveloper create a SOA project doint
          - Select Composite with BPEL Process
          - Synchronous or Asynchronous
- Deploy to WebLogic SOA server
- In EM (under SOA | soa-infra) select SOA service and get WSDL URL in Test screen.
OEG
- In Service Manager right-click Web Services node and select 'Register Web Service'
- Register Web Service dialog:
          WSDL URL: enter URL of SOA service from above
          Press [Register].
          >> FAILED:
               Error
               Please enter a valid WSDL URL

Error while creating data server to connect into Hyperion Financial Manag.

Hi Cezar and others gurus,
I need some help in the follow issue:
I imported the technologie HFM (hyperion financial management) and it`s now displayed normally in the Physical and Logical architecture.
The drivers imported are: HFMdriver.dll
log4j-1.2.8.jar
odi_hfm.jar
odihapp_common.jar
And also imported the KMs about HFM.
Everything doing fine but when i try to create a data server into Physical Architecture, and went to test it, two different errors are shown (below).
i've already read many documentations but they didn't help.
I have ODI 10.1.3.4.0 and the hyperion server is working fine.
ODI server, my ODI client and HFM are located in the local machine.
In the "Topology manager" in "Physical Architecture" under the "Hyperion Financial Management" I try to create "Data Server" and in the definition tab I filled "Name", "Server" (without port), "User", "Password".
In the JDBC tab I did nothing.
I go test and the errors appears.
In the physical schema in the definition tab I cannot fill the items "Application (Catalog)", "Application (Work catalog)" because they don`t have any option and i let them "undefined"
When i select "Local (no agent)",receive the error:

Thanks for the answer but i'm still not able to connect to HFM.
I am getting an error while trying to reverse engineer (this errors is shown at Agent): error ocurred in driver while connecting to HFM [<undefined>] on [apphyp] using user-name [sql_hyp].
Caused by: com.hyperion.odi.hfm.wrapper.HFMexception: opening HFM application failed. Error code: 0x80046053 [This application is not registered with Hyperion Shared Services. Please contact your administrator]
You told me that it`s normal the error when i try to test the data server but both Application (catalog) and Application (Work) stay <undefined> and nothing can be select in that section. I guess this should be completed with my existing applications ate HFM.
Probably, the error mentioned happens because this item "Application" isn`t correct.
What am i missing?

Environment:
Quad-Core AMD Processor 2.2 GHz (Server Machine)
5 GB RAM
Server 2003 Standard 32-Bit SP2 (also tried in Enterprise)
Application Server:
WebLogic Server 9.2 Custom Installation (with Add-Ins)

Financial Management, Planning, Financial Reporting and Web Analysis (primarily interested in FM)

The following are the sequences of steps carried out during the Installation and Configuration of EPM:
1) Installed the Server along with its respective SP2 – Shutdown the machine
2) Assigned IP and DNS addresses
3) Installed Window components by ticking Application Server Console, Enable COM+ access, IIS and DNS
4) Run “dcpromo” to create a Domain Controller with default values and assigned a domain name – Shutdown the machine
5) Installed Weblogic Server 9.2 and configure it using Configuration Wizard – Selected “test environment” and ticked default “listening port” – Shutdown the machine
6) Basic installation of Oracle Database 10gR2 using Step-by-Step guide provided by Oracle and carried out Password Management steps. After installation, I then created a user “oracle” and assigned it to ora_dba User Group with the required Local Security Policies – “log on as a batch job” and “Act as part of operating system”
7) Logged into database and acknowledge the licensing window – Shutdown the machine
8) Restarted the machine and checked all relevant and newly installed Database and WebLogic services are running.
9) Started Installing EPM components by double clicking “InstallTool.cmd” and selected all relevant components at ONCE as per Installation Guide – Result: - All selected EPM components were successfully installed without errors or exceptions
10) At the end of installation window, I carried out the configuration in the following scearios:
Scenario 1: Configuration all at Default settings
Scenario 2: Configuration all, except “Application Server” I selected the WebLogic9.2
Scenario 3: Configuration all, except “Application Server” and “Workspace Web Server” were being Welogic9.2 and IIS HTTP
RESULT: After all numerous installations, all came down to ONE ERROR from “Diagnostic Report” stating the following:
Financial Management:
FAILED SVR: HFM Service Validation Check if HFM service in working state.

Recommended Action: Make sure HAT utility is working. 1 s
I then simply ignored this error and tried to deploy an Application, all worked fine until you get to the point at “Job Console” where you need to press “Refresh” button. Progress remained at 12% until it got timedout after 300 seconds and force attempt of refreshing resulting in “aborted” job with the following error:

This is, I believe preventing me from deploying Consolidation Apps, including Sample Application provided with EPM Downloads. I have tried installing and configuring by components. All failed with the same outcome.
I have been working on this effortlessly in different combinations to get at least one Financial Management Application get deployed so I could enhance my learning adventure. As it stands, I am not sure where to get help and completely lost in the World of Oracle. I am also come to wonder whether “Free Downloads of EPM” are indeed, is “complete and is in working-state” or do I need a licence to use for personal learning experience? Are there different downloads for different needs or/users For example, eDelivery downloads are different from OTN Agreement downloads?
I have downloaded the files from following URL:

I am completely lost and all services are up and running and not sure what I am missing!! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I am having exactly the same problem using Windows 2003 Standard editions SP2. Is there anyone who knows a possible solution for this? The effect on HFM is that is not possible to create an application, since I always get an error that says "Server execution failed"

Issues with ODI connection to Hyperion Financial Management

Hi,
I am having some issues with ODI connection to Hyperion Financial Management. ODI and Financial management are setup on different machines.
The ‘Cluster(Data Server)’ name in Topology is given as ‘hfm03cl’. On reverse-engineering a model it gives the following error:

When HFM is installed on the same machine, it works fine. How does ODI identify a cluster on a different machine? Do I have to give the machine name along with the cluster name? If so, what is the format?

You will need to have the HFM client installed on any machine that will be running ODI (i.e. Designer or Agent) that will be executing connections to an HFM server.
Once you have the HFM client installed, see if you can actually connect to HFM from that machine using the HFM client.
Couple of other thing, in the Physical Schema, have you set the Application Catalog and Work Catalog to the same HFM application?
Also, when you are reversing, are you using the local agent or one you have installed using agentservice?

Oracle University has released the new PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 Financial Management, General Ledger Consultant Certified Expert (OCE) certification.
 Testing began March 5, 2009 for the new "PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 General Ledger" certification exam (1Z0-228) at Prometric testing centers worldwide. This exam tests the proficiency and knowledge in key areas of implementation such as Oracle general ledger financial controls, journal entry creation and setup, period close and financial reporting. This 80-question exam is the only requirement to earn the PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 Financial Management, General Ledger Consultant Certified Expert (OCE) certification. Test candidates are allowed as long as 120 minutes to complete the exam, and a minimum score of 60% is required to pass. Hi All
while i was configuring the Calc Manager after foundation services ,the window display the error:Registered login failed for shared services....
I try to use the correct user name and password for it .check the installation guide for Hyperion version is 11.1.2 .do not know where to look for correct information to make this configuration work.

Verify Cluster failed

Hi,
I am installing SAP ECC6.0 on Windows and this setup also invloves MSCS. I am done with the installation of Central Services Instance for ABAP (ASCS), First MSCS Node and Database Instance on Node 1. When i do the Verify Cluster in Oracle FailSafe Manager, its giving error as mentioned below.

Hi Ranjit,
Can you check wheather IPMP is properly configured ( check with you system team ).
Rather than sap ,can you test the drive which is provided to you for installing SAP is moving proper from 1 node to other node.
It mean you for e.g drive F:\ provided to you for installtion of oracle software and database . Stop SAP & oracle and just try to move the F:\ drive from Node 1 to Node 2 manually . After that Try to shutdown the node on which F:\ drive is there , when OS is getting shutdown the drive F:\ should automatically move to other node .
Try this m if it is working then , Oracle Fail safe should also work.

Starting OCFS2 cluster fails

Hi All,
Trying to start cluster fails with:
[root@odlx01 init.d]# ./o2cb start raccls
Starting cluster raccls: Failed
Cluster raccls created
o2cb_ctl: Internal logic failure while adding node odlx01
Stopping cluster raccls: OK
OCFS2 is installed on a RedHat server:
Linux odlx01 2.6.9-42.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jul 12 23:27:17 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
The cluster.conf contains this:
node:
ip_port = 7777
ip_address = 10.91.3.2
number = 0
name = odlx01
cluster = raccls
cluster:
node_count = 1
name = raccls
Any ideas as to what is wrong, or where I could look to get a more detailed explanation of the error?

How are you starting the managed servers. try running the command
from /MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/bin
nohup sh ./startManagedWebLogic.sh bi_server1 http://localhost:7001> start_bi_server1.log &
and see how it goes. make sure you have set the boot.properties files under security folder so that it wont get failed looking for username and password.

Could please anybody tell me how to install the Sample Applications in Hyperion Financial Management 11.1.2.2?
The following is written in the Administration guide:
If you did not install the sample files, you can obtain them by reinstalling Financial Management
and selecting the Sample Applications component.
I cannot find the “Sample Applications component” among components during installation process.
There are only “Financial Management ADM driver”, “Financial Management Web Application” and “Financial Management: services”.

Adobe audition 3.0 register server failed !(-101)

I have tried to install the adobe audition 3.0 CS2 several times in and very times in my windows 8.1 , when I try to open the program with comes with this error ... Register Server failed ! (-101)
help please I have install and uninstall the cs2 and the cs3 bridge several times but for no avail

I have changed the jar files path in build.properties file as its required to import new jars as part of Documentum server upgradation. But getting above errors.. Do i have to update Config.xml file or any other file.. Please suggest.

You've got a problem with a corrupted config.xml file.
Since you did not make any changes you can copy the config.xml.booted file over the corrupted config.xml.
The other option is to walk though the config.xml file and look for the problem...
