Register failk error in IE

Hello,
When the java plug-in is needed, I get a register failk error... then when I clode that alert, I get a Java Plug-In Fatal Error... which says "The Bridge was installed at <file location> but the class is not there. Modify the registry key to reflect the new bridge location.
The key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Plug-in or change your CLASSPATH to include the new directory"
is there any way to fix this? I need to be able to use the plugin version 1.4.2_08
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

This is going to sound really peculiar, but I was getting that same error and I stumbled across the fix by accident.
I was using plugin version 1.4.2._10
The error message was exactly the same.
I was reconstructing a profile and was transferring the shortcuts back into favorites one at a time and one of the favorites was causing the error.
take out the shortcut - no error
put back the shortcut - error
go figure.
The shortcut was to an document database application on one of our servers.

We have our existing production applications written using VB6 and VC++6. We are in the process of moving them incrementally to J2EE. Problem that I am facing....

I am able to create an instance of Person Bean ActiveX Control using ActiveX Control Test Container that comes with Visual Studio 6.0 and invoke the methods in the bean successfully though which means that the ActiveX control is registered properly and working.

I have this sample java bean class.

I am able to create an instance of this Person Bean ActiveX Control using ActiveX Control Test Container that comes with Visual Studio 6.0 and invoke the methods in the bean successfully. But, when I try to insert the activex control on a VB6 or VC++6 form or create an instance of "Person.Bean.1" using CreateObject function, it throws the above mentioned errors.
I checked the registry and it shows J2RE1.4.2_09 version properly under that key and the Person.dll file exists under d:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_09\axbridge\bin. I also explicitly added the plugin.jar, person.jar to the classpath. Still it gives the error.
Any ideas? Any fix or workaround for this problem? Thanks.

Sometimes solutions are simpler than expose the problem.
Did you add the dll to the project references?
Sometimes also it is usefull to use the regsvr32 program to register the DLL.

  • SLP received service register/deregister error from directory agent

    What's up with this message?
We occasionally see it on our NetWare 6.5 SP5 servers (and others):
SLP received service register/deregister error from directory agent.
    Address BLAH, error 2
We have two DA's, single IP on each.
The "other" servers are set to "4" for their discovery type (single NIC,
    but multiple IP's).
    Static scope list.
Display slpda shows active/active on the "other" servers.
On the DA's, the loopback shows active, as does the "other" DA (they
    point to each other).

So this is kinda an "informational" message and not really an error,
    then?
So we didn't actually do anything wrong (for once)?

  • Register-SPWorkflowService error: The underlying connection was closed

I have a three server workflow manager farm. I'm using hardware load balancing across the three servers. I've associated a hostname in DNS with the VIP on the NLB.
When I run Register-SPWorkflowService and point at the hostname for the -WorkflowHostUri parameter, I get the error:
Register-SPWorkflowService The underlying connection was closed An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
If I put that URL into a browser on the SP machine where I'm running this cmdlt, it responds with the correct XML. So I know that the NLB is routing regular http requests to my machines in the quorum.
Also, if I use the actual machine name of one of the three machines in the workflow manager quorum, the cmdlt works.
I know very little about NLB hardware. Is there something I need to tell the guys configuring the NLB to do so that the connection doesn't close?

Yes, I actually had done that before using a host file entry to replace the DNS mapping from the NLB VIP to the IP of one of the machines in the WFM quorum. It worked from the standpoint of registering and SharePoint shows that the farm is "connected". However,
when I go to create an SP 2013 workflow, it still only shows 2010 workflows in the dropdown (in SPD.)
I also put Fiddler on the SharePoint machine that I'm using to register the WFM quorum to SharePoint. It shows that when the register cmdlt is executed, several calls to the
/SharePoint/ web service endpoint are made, initially getting a 401 asking for an authentication, and then after creds are passed, getting a 200. But then a call to
/SharePoint/$Activities is called and a 401 occurs twice, after which the registration cmdlt fails.

  • Class not registered - CrystalPrintControl error.

This problem was happening in SP1 and the solution is to manually copy the files in C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\Crystal Reports 2011\crystalreportviewers folder and register PrintControl.dll. I just updated to SP2 and am getting the same error. Are the merge modules going to be updated to correct this at some point?

    Hi Robert,
I assume you are using/building your application in 64 bit platform. We tracked this issue and the cause is there is no 64 bit printcontrol.dll ( activeX ) due to limitations in both Microsoft 64 IE and the Framework.
    It won't be fixed.
If you are compiling in x86 mode then we need more info...
There are no Merge Modules for 64 bit so are you asking for them or is your app 32 bit?
If you are building in x86 mode and it is a WEB app then set your app pool to run in 32 mode.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 MP Registation log error "Rejecting the registration request because Agent Type is ISV Proxy (4). This Agent Type is no longer supported."

Any idea what this message is trying to tell me? ISV Proxy Client Registrations ad worked fine in SCCM 2012 prior to R2.  This message in the title is present in MP_RegistrationManager.log.  The ISV Proxy Certificate lists as "unblocked".
If this is true, then that was a pretty sleathy move to remove this support.
    BAE

    Hi BEnsinger,
You should set your proxy agent type = 8.  Everything should work correctly if you do.  The change wasn't intended to be a "stealthy" move.
This was originally documented in in ConfigMgr 2007 and remains the same in ConfigMgr 2012:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc146744.aspx
The error text may be a little odd - but I'm assuming you're actually registering a client, and according to the SDK docs, you should be using type = 8.

  • Register Provider Error

When I try to register the sample provider
    (URL: http://192.115.137.38:80/servlets/sample),
    I get:
    Provider Creation Failure!
    PRODUCT: wwc
    DOMAIN: wwc
    SUB_DOMAIN: pro
    NAME: general
    CONTEXT: wwerr_api_provider_registry.register_provider
    Location: http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/page?_pageid=70&_dad=ops&_schema=OPSTUDIO&_mode=3&p_action=finish&p_node_live=2
I can see the "Congratulations! You have successfully..." page from other machines.
Can you help me find the problem?
    null

    Hi Bill,
Your problem could be because of couple of resons. Try following:
    a) On your machine try giving URL http://192.115.137.38:80/servlets/sample
Do you get a success page. This page would indicate to you location of provider.xml
If a) is successful, then try registering the provider in portal.
    b) Before trying to register your provider with portal. On your web provider installation machine, go to $IAS_HOME/Apache/jserv/logs. Delete jserv.log and mod_jserv.log
    c) Try registering provider to portal.
    d) On your local web provider installation machine. Check following files for errors
    $IAS_HOME/Apache/jserv/logs/jserv.log
    $IAS_HOME/Apache/jserv/logs/mod_jserv.log
    Couple of reasons of errors:
    a) sample_portlets.jar is not specified in jserv.properties of your web provider machine
    b) web server on your web provider machine is not running

  • Register Database error in Rman

    Hi
I have been trying to register a database in RMAN . Here are the steps I took on OS linux Mandrake 8.1 using ORACLE version 9.2.0.1.0
    SQL:
    CONNECT sys/password@ora AS SYSDBA
    CREATE TABLESPACE "RMAN"
    DATAFILE 'C:\ORACLE\ORADATA\W2K1\RMAN01.DBF' SIZE 6208K REUSE

    SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;
CREATE USER rman IDENTIFIED BY rman
    TEMPORARY TABLESPACE temp
    DEFAULT TABLESPACE rman
    QUOTA UNLIMITED ON rman;
    GRANT connect, resource, recovery_catalog_owner TO rman;

    RMAN> create catalog tablespace "RMAN";
    recovery catalog created
    RMAN> exit
    Recovery Manager complete.

    connected to recovery catalog database
    RMAN> register database;
This is returning the error message

    Hi,
Change the name of your tablespace RMAN to CATTBS. I believe RMAN is a reserved word in oracle.

do you have SharePoint Developer tools Preview for VS 12 installed on the server, if yes? you have to uninstall it, reboot it and run the register command again.
