  • Payables Posted Invoice Register error information (11i)

    Just to let people know, I have run across an issue on the Payables Posted Invoice Register report. What I stumbled across is that sometimes a few invoices would not print on the report. If I changed the date range, so that the date was now in the middle of the range, then the invoice data would print. What I finally discovered is that if I have a distribution record with a date/time timestamp value (not just a date only timestamp value) for the TO ACCOUNTING DATE parameter of my report request, the report would not include those records. Further research showed that this only happened on cancelled invoices only, but only some of the time when cancelling (not all of the time). I reported this to Oracle Support. Turns out there is a patch available to fix the cancel invoice program to not put out a date/time timestamp value, and a data fix script to fix your historical data. I have also put in an enhancement request (search for document ID 8585995) to have the Posted Invoice Register report do a SQL TRUNC function. That way even if you do get a time value into the timestamp field (accounting date), the report would still pick up the record. We had this problem for 17 months before stumbling across it, so it may be possible that you have the same problem and are not aware of it either. The number of affected records are small, and would have to be on the TO DATE date value to impact the report as well. Just wanted to let people be aware of this situation.

    I get the following error message: "Invalid Liability Liability account is invalid". I've tried both populating the ACCTS_PAY_CODE_COMBINATION_ID field and leaving it null. Some googling also said mentioned that particular error message may be misleading.
    And yes, I'm passing the correct code from the lookup_type. The only difference is that for the one that works, I'm using an Oracle seeded source lookup. However, in the lookups screen I can't see where there are any special configuration.
    I should also mention that the invoices will be imported from an external system, and there will be no PO attached to the invoice. I'm not sure if this info is relevent though.
    I've done some researching and thinking and maybe there is some kind of profile option I need to set but I haven't been able to find it yet.
    Also, I can't find the AP_ERRORS_GT table or any other closely named ones.

    Dear nitin
    Sorry to the best of my knowledge, this is the solution.  For information, in our company, at times, the end user has waited for half a day just bcoz another user is also entering the same data (Posting to same G/L account).  Please wait for some more time or else check with your basis team and find out the other user and check with them.

  • Getting error REP-1352: The fonts specified for this report cannot be found

    Dear Friends,
    I'm getting the following error when I run my reports on Application Server installed in Solaris 9.
    REP-1352: The fonts specified for this report cannot be found for the character set specified by NLS_LANG.
    I searched internet and found the reason for the issue i.e., as follows.
    REP-1352: The fonts specified for this report cannot be found for the character set specified by NLS_LANG.
    Cause: The NLS_LANG environment variable specifies a character set for which no font is available.
    Action: You may choose a font that exists in the character set specified by NLS_LANG. Alternatively, you may use the Font Alias file to force an available font to be used instead of the one specified in the report.
    I cannot change the font for each & every report as there are more than 100 reports. HOW CAN I USE THE FONT ALIAS FILE? It is very Urgent, please solve my problem.
    Please help me ASAP.
    Thanking you.

    Hi again,
    im attaching all the info you request:
    What does the program actually do?
    Social network (because of the TOS of this forum im not allowed to post project names or urls)
    What is it trying to send when you submit a request?
    What url is it posting the information to?
    Im attaching all this at the end of the post.
    Is it the 'exact' same application that works in other countries?
    Yeap, the exact same one...
    Is it supposed to be useing the Internet Browser?
    No, it is a native app. The Browser is not used at all.
    Are you on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server?
    Im on BIS, all the users use BIS.
    Technical details:
    1) The app makes an Http Connection (POST) to:
    http://mydomain.com/api/call?param1=abc&param2=xyz
    2) This is the Http connection configuration:
    httpConnection = (HttpConnection) Connector.open(url);
    HttpConnection.POST;
    ("Content-Type", "text/plain; charset=utf-8");
    ("Host", 'mydomain.com');
    ("Content-Length", 100); //depends on sent data
    ("User-Agent", 'BlackBerry8300... etc');
    ("Expect", "100-continue");
    3) On every country it works fine... on my country i get this error:

  • REP-1419: 'beforereport': PL/SQL program aborted.

    Hi,
    We transmitted a payment batch file to one of our Banks (via FTP). First time it failed because our Bank ftp details were changed overnight and the folder where we transfer the file (via PGP) is missing. Now the Bank has recreated the directory and gave full access to transmit the file. After getting the intimation from the Bank, we cancelled our Payment Batch program and resubmitted the Payment batch once again. However, this time the Payment Batch is ending at Format stage itself. And throwing the above error < REP-1419: 'beforereport': PL/SQL program aborted.>
    Now I do not know why the formatting is failing when all directories are exisiting and have full access ? Do we need to revalidate the already validated and approved invoices? Do we need to delete the earlier file that was created in the morning?
    Can anyone throw some light on this?
    I appreciate your help.
    (PS: all other information including, vendor, vendor sites, bank, pay group and etc are all fine)

    check the code in reports before parameter form.
    May be the related objects are not there. You can try opening this report in the new version and compile the before parameter form trigger

    we are using reports version 6 and oracle 9i.
    And we directly print to printer or directly print to file, it works fine - no errors.

  • (Invoice register Report – Payment Register report = Aging Report)

    Hi,
    The total balance for Invoice registers report “minus” the balance for Payment register report not give me the balance of Invoice aging report
    The expected behavior:
    It must minus the balance between the two reports equal to invoice aging report
    (Invoice register Report – Payment Register report = Aging Report) But this not happen
    What the issue causing for that ?
    Thanks

    Hello.
    I think you cannot expect that calculation to be correct. Just to mention Payment Register, this report does not have a total in the functional currency.
    The following excercise is true:
    Ending Balance of Accounts Payable Trial Balance on period 1 + Posted Invoice Register on period2 - Posted Payment Register on period2 = Ending Balance of Accounts Payable Trial Balance on period 2

  • Report Errors REP-1051 and REP-1070 when saving

    I just created a new report. I'm now getting errors REP-1051 and REP-1070 when I attempt to save the .rdf to my local hard drive (or anywhere else for that matter). Permissions where I try to save it are OK, in fact if I remove the SQL and insert "select * from dual", it saves nicely. Is there a query size limit of which I'm unaware? The SQL runs corrrectly, compiles correctly, etc. I just can't seem to save my work. Thank you in advance.

    REP-1051 and REP-1070 What are the messages for these codes?
    Which version and OS are you using?
    How are you calling your report?

    Problem Description
    When running a *.REP generated report file you get errors:
    REP-00002 Unable to retrieve string from message file
    REP-01439 Cannot compile program since this is a runtime report
    Running the same report using the *.RDF file is successful.
    You are running the report with a stored procedure,
    OR you are running against an Oracle instance other than the one developed on,
    Or, you recently upgraded your Oracle Server.
    Solution Description
    1) Check that the user running the report has execute permissions on any stored

    2) Run the report as an .RDF not an .REP , that is remove or rename the .REP

    I think u have activated doc splitting i.e. new gl acconting. Go to
    Financial Accounting (New) > General Ledger Accounting (New) > Business Transactions > Document Splitting  > Classify G/L Accounts for Document Splitting
    And make setting for u r account. Also see all the nodes there are configured, to avoid any other error.
