Registration is finished error: (10, -72000)

Every time I restart the server, I get this error in the Password Service Error Log:
Jan 8 2008 15:55:51 Registration is finished error: (10, -72000)
Anyone know what this is?

Are you using a DHCP address for your server? IP changes are not handled well, you will need to obtain a static address to keep things running. To recover from your current problem, take a look at changeip command. If you do not remember the old IP, you will need to look through LDAP directory manually for stale IP addresses and change them using dscl. In my case, I had to do:
# dscl dscl /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1
auth myusername
Password: *****
read /Config/PasswordServer
change /Config/PasswordServer PasswordServerLocation oldip newip

Hi I had this problem as well. It caused a lot of frustrations especially as I was showing off the ease of my mac to a pc freak!!!
The solution I found (on an earlier discussion was to change the preferences from best quality to best performance ... it worked really well.

Burning Finished Error

ok launched idvd and imported my imovie. and click burn and get this message
"burning finished - errors were found during the burning process"
any idea? jammed to get the movie together for an event and now i'm stuck.

Boy, could be lots of things actually...
I would start by deleting the encoded asset ( Look under "Advanced" in the menu bar).
Plus, be sure to follow the chapter rules:
*Make sure no chapter markers are within two seconds of the start or end of the timeline.
*Make sure no chapter markers are within a transition.
*Make sure no chapter markers are within two seconds of the end of a transition.
Check your JPEG filenames and folder names. Don't use any special characters. Be sure to use only letters, numbers, and underscores, and only one "." Do not use "/" or "." at the beginning of a file name.
Another thought is about the music you used. Is it from the iTunes Store? You may need to burn a CD of the music and import from that.
If you used photos, your iPhoto Library may be corrupt. You could try rebuilding the library or try dragging the photos to the desktop and then into iDVD.
BTW-next time try saving the iDVD project as a "disk image" and use the disk utility or a program like Toast to burn the DVD.

Cannot set up hotmail account "setup could not finish, error in login, invalid credentials"

Two weeks ago I started getting messages to log back into one of my hotmail accounts that I had set up on my droid charge at the 'email icon'( I had 3 hotmail accounts and 1 gmail account setup there)
once I logged the password back in it worked again, but it began requesting that I log back into the account more and more frequently
Customer service recommended that I remove the account and then set it up again, I did this and it would not allow me to set it up again-"setup could not finish, error in login, invalid credentials"
I tried removing all acounts and then setting them up again, still could not set up the one hotmail account (same message)
Verizon store decided that I needed to 'wipe' my phone completely, after they wiped it two of my hotmail accounts refused to be set up (same error message)
I tried changing the passwords going to the accounts online on my computer (I can access all the accounts online)
Customer service stated that it must be the phone and sent me a refurbished phone, the refurbished phone is doing the exact same thing with the exact same error message

When you setup the accounts, are you using the automatic or manual method to set them up?

Cursor open error SQLSTT - 72000, SQL code - 969

We have purchased a product called Access Manager for DB2 and installed it on our AS400. This gives us the connectivitiy to Oracle server with which we do the Warehouse management software interface using our legacy system on AS400.
I have written several programs in SQLRPGLE and not quite sure as to how I can handle errors coming out of Oracle server.
As per my knowledge in my programs, I do

I am also new to this much of SQL.
Now, my programs are running in production and works just fine if we don;t have any issues with oracle server (database server down etc.).
My question is if the database server goes down for any reason, my SQLRPGLE progam starts giving me cursor not open errors, the actual error is as follows:
Connection to relational database HJAWCD1 already exists.

So although, the connection exist between the AS400 and Oracle server as suggested from first statement, but then the cursor is giving me problems of not opening.
what I would like to know is how do I check in my SQL statement the error and somehow reconnect and open the cursor again.
Please help in this regard, since I am not finding any help from iseries world becuase no one seems to have knowledge about this product that we have installed and I don;t have too mcuh of documentation on the product nor do I have any sample handling messages program using RPGLE between oracle and AS400 using the product.

It's been over a decade since I worked on an AS/400 (iSeries), but I've seen an ORA-03114 is thrown from the OCI when you've attempted an illegal statement. That error typically means you are no longer connected to the database. I'd guess that your new application has a defective RPG error management routine.

Fetcher did not finish - Error in URLScraper

ERROR: URLScraperProvider.getContent(): fetcher did not finish!
I get this error but the HTML content is scraped and displayed properly in the channel.
Why is this error ocuring? I have set teh channel timeout to 5 minutes.

The default time out value is 5 secs. Are you sure you have set the value in mins ? If you had setup 5 mins, it will take the desktop about 5 mins to render the desktop page.

Self Registration Approval Details Error

I am trying to raise a self registration request. The Self Registration Request is raised but remains in Request Received status. This is the standard SR and should go to xelsysadm account for approval.
When I click on the request and try to see Approval Details it gives me the following error. PLEASE HELP ASAP.

ume.admin.selfreg_company is set to TRUE
You have defined companies
ume.tpd.companies is set to a value other than 0.
The action UME Selfregister_User is assigned to the role Everyone.

OAM 11gR2 - Remote Registration Exception - HTTP Error 501

I installed OAM 11gR2 and am trying to configure OAM with WebGate.
While doing remote registration using rreg.bat I get an exception

Its most likely a problem with your java version.
I know for sure that Java version 1.6.0_37 doesn't work and that 1.6.0.41 works for sure.
Can you try installing a different version of java.
if on linux use the
update-alternatives --config java
as root to point to the java (other version that you installed) and try again.

Windows Script Component Registration Generate 0x80004005 Error Code

Scenario :
I create a simple .hta for managing students information and personal data. I create an application registration system which is required by the user to register the .hta before using it (Freeware which required registration for software benchmarking purpose).
The registration is created with .wsc file structure. All students registration can work properly and saved into the database without generating any error. However the .wsc file for application registration is unable to register it which generate error.
Problems :
.wsc file generated error 0x80004005 on registration.
Flow :
If I try to register from the context menu, the following error is generated.
"The module "C:\Windows\system32\scrobj.dll" was loaded but the call to DllInstall failed with error code 0x80004005."
If I try to register from the command line, the following error is generated.
"The module "C:\Windows\system32\scrobj.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServerEx failed with error code 0x80004005."
Trial Made :
I searched the solution over the internet and nothing was found except all the solution related to 0x80004005 is pointed to Jet.OleDb problems.
Request :
I hope someone can help me solving this problem. So any help or opinion will be appreciated.
Remarks :
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit on 32 bit system architecture.
Internet Information Services 7.5 is not installed.
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 Redistributable installed.

I have read this thread carefully and followed the recommendations, and I still get the MsgBox error:
The module "scrobj.dll" was loaded but the call to DllInstall failed with error code 0x80004005
For more information about this problem, search online using the error code as a search term.
I even took these additional steps in the command prompt:

>regsvr32 /i:C:\Users\dn\dn.wsc scrobj.dll
>cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64
>regsvr32 /i:C:\Users\dn\dn.wsc scrobj.dll
I executed the identical command after changing to each of the directories. Each time I received the same error

The object I obsolete and unsupported. The error - 0x80004005 indicates that you are not an admin. It may also indicate that you are using an unsupported module.

Installation of Self-Registration feature- Script Error

Hi,
I am trying to install the self-registration feature provided by the Portal itself. I am executing the following steps:
1) Create a schema by the name: portal30_sso_ua
2) In this schema create a synonym for Login Server SSO schema package wwsso_api_user_admin
3) Grant the execute privileges using : GRANT EXCEUTE ON PORTAL30_SSO.wwsso_api_user_admin to portal30_sso_ua
4) In my case both the Login Server and the Portal are in the same DB.
5) Finally i run the script: selfreg.cmd -s portal30 -p portal30 -ua portal30_sso_ua -c -dblink
Now this script gives the error: "The system cannot find the batch label specified - step1"
Can you please tell me what is the problem ??

Hi, there are some mistakes in the script - maybe you should find some hints on the forum. I'm not sure, but my script (I've tried selfreg) is:

2) You should "REM" some comments in the script.

Time Capsule Finishing error

When my time capsule gets to the Finishing part of the backup, sometimes I get an error saying that the backup cannot be completed. This has been happening for about a week.
Also, the time machine tab at the top bar doesn't show when the last backup was. It just shows this "Last Backup: -- " This has been happening for the past week as well. It even happens when backups are successful.
Any ideas to why this is happening?

Hope this helps, this was from a successful backup by the way. The unsuccessful backups are pretty random. If I can remember, I will try to get the log record when an unsuccessful backup happens.

Self-Registration on NT Error

On a fresh 3.0.9 Portal Install the selfreg.cmd command file doesn't work and fails with a 'The system cannot find the batch label specified - step1'.
A bug has been raised, but could someone post a working copy of the script here to save my sanity.

For NT, there were several bugs in selfreg.cmd for Portal 3.0.9:
1) add "step1" label
set def_portal_schema=PORTAL30

2) Replace "$" with "%" for variables portal_schema and sso_uadmin_schema
echo ...portal_schema: %portal_schema%
echo ...portal_password: *************
echo ...sso_uadmin_schema: %sso_uadmin_schema%
3) Some comment lines did not start with "REM". e.g.
# Run Scripts
change to:
REM ##############
REM # Run Scripts
REM ##############
After I ran that script, I got another error in SQLPlus, but I just entered the username/password as prompted and it worked.

Finish error messages

Hi,
I'm performing a simple SELECT from a java application using Oracle's thin JDBC driver.
When retrieving a column value from the resultset I get a SQLException with the message written in finish. Why finish? How can I change it? I tried to add the environment variable NLS_LANG=swedish_sweden.we8iso8859p1 but it didn't help.
Can anyone help me with this?

JDBC driver looks into the Java locale instead of the NLS_LANG variable.
Usually encoding and locale are VM or OS dependent. But you can force it to others by either one of these:
1. Add the the SQL, "alter session..." to your JDBC program.
Or,
2. java -Duser.language=SE -Duser.region=sv <java class>
Please note that the locale values(sv and SE) are case senstive.

Just installed the security Update 2011-002 for OS 10.6.7 Server. After the reboot I was able to login as diradmin into WGM but all settings were grayed out. I could not authenticate to /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 any longer, using the lock in the top right corner.
/var/log/slapd.log showed a massive amount of errors like these after the update:
Failure: GSSAPI Error: Unspecified GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information (Key table entry not found)
/Library/Logs/PasswordService/ApplePasswordServer.Error.log showed the following:
Registration is finished error: (10, -72000).
Not sure if this is related to the update, but turning off and on SSL as suggested by user "xjrguy" in this past discussion worked for me:
