Reject button Issue - GRC 10

Hi All,
I have a query regarding REJECT in OTHER ACTIONS button in GRC.
In my workflow I have maintained task settings as below.
Approval Level - Role
Rejection Level - Role
Individual Line Items I am able to Approve/Reject using the Approve or Reject buttons.
I tested below scenario.
Created a GRC request with 2 roles. Both roles have different role owners.
Request once completed in first stage went to 2 role owners separately with their respective roles.
First role owner opened the request, went to other actions -> Reject and rejected the entire request.
Because of this entire request got rejected and closed irrespective of other role owners action.
I wanted to disable REJECT option under Other Actions in role owner stage.
I have already went through various discussions in the forum but couldn't find any

Hi Sai,
I believe this is a SP13 functionality problem issue - maybe upgrade to SP15 will solve the issue.
According to SAP Documentation - what you have described should not be the case as under the Task Settings section, SAP advise to select the checkboxes for the features you want to be available to approvers on the access request screen. Rejection level allows approvers to approve requests for the following levels:
Request
Approvers have the authority to approve all roles in a request. For example, security approvers can approve any role relevant to a request. Role Approvers can approve only those roles that belong to them.
System and Role
Approvers have the authority to approve systems and roles.
So taking into account what is described - it should work as you requested, so maybe this is SP13 issue, migrate to SP15 and let us know,
Filip

  • Role Rejection Notification Issue

    Hi All,
I have a doubt. Please help.
When Request is rejected, Notification Event "REJECTED" triggers and mail notification is sent to inform Requestor or User.
When user has selected 3 roles, out of which 2 are approved and one role is rejected. How to inform the user through mail notification that particular role is REJECTED by the role owner?
Also I observed one more scenario
My request has 2 roles with 2 different role owners. Both the owners rejected their respective roles and entered the comments for rejection. But since in LineItem rejection, role owners enters comments at LineItem level and then clicks on SUBMIT button, though both the roles are rejected at role owner stage, request is going to the next stage and getting closed there.
Because of this the closing notification which we have maintained at 3rd stage is getting triggered though request ended at 2nd stage.
I assume this is how GRC 10 system is behaving. So wanted to know how other consultants handled Role Rejection notifications in GRC 10.0. because i went through few notes and SAP confirmed that this is the standard behaviour
1960393 - No detailed user notification for the rejected roles
1849378 - GRC-10.0- MSMP, rejection notification is not getting triggered in case of 'System and Role' setting at Stage level
    Please provide your valuable inputs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sai.

Rejection notification will only be sent out if the whole request has been rejected, not if individual line items have been rejected.

  • UWL Approve and Reject buttons not available in Portal 7.31?

Hi I've been doing some research and came across some interesting articles...
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/1871429
    http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=221611154
I am trying to enable the Approve and Reject buttons per customer requirements but having some issues making these options available in the UWL ...
    Based on the articles above...
Does the UWL not support this ?
If it does, can anyone direct me on how to enable these ?
    Thanks

After doing some research, it looks like the XML needs to be modified...
Can anyone confirm that the code is still relevant in 7.31?

  • Approve and reject button not appearing in the POrtal screen

    Hi All ,
I have an issue where i create a meeting rwquets and then it goes for approval to the manager , but in this case the manager is not able to see the approve and reject button in the screen , whereas it appears in the back end , please suggest what setting are to be in place to appear those two buttons to click on .

    Hi,
Then you will have to modify the standard UWL configuration file.
If your task looks like a standard task (maybe you copied a standard task and modified it slightly), you have to find the ItemType corresponding to the standard task in the UWL configuration file then copy this ItemType and adjust it for you custom task. Please take a look at my last post in another thread : Re: UWL - how to approve purchase requisitions
If your task is 100% custom then you'll have to find out what is behind the Approve and Reject buttons in the Business Workflow and modify the UWL configuration file accordingly. For instance if a function module is used to approve or reject the request you can define your approve and reject actions using the FunctionModuleActionHandler. You can find more information in the documentation : [Task Launch Customization|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/36/dd4ad73c86412e81e9ce66eeb147e7/frameset.htm].

  • Get Accept & Reject Buttons only on click of work item in sap inbox

    Hi,
    ALL
    I have a issue.
I have created a form in module pool which has a certain set of feilds. I have placed two buttons in the form namely " Submit " & Update. When ever the submit button is clicked in the form the form which is an attachment goes to the respective approvers for approval.
Issue : I have not placed any Accept or Reject Buttons in the form, I want these buttons to get displayed when the form is displayed in the SAP inbox of the user.
I am not aware of the process, that how the Accept & Reject buttons appear when the form is used for approvals in the workflow.
Can any one suggest me the process, that how do i use these buttons while displaying when the work item is clicked in the users inbox but not when the form is intially filled.
      - The approval or Reject buttons should not get displayed when the user is initially filling up the form.
    -  The Approval or Reject Buttons should be displayed when the work item is clicked in the sap inbox of the user, instead of update & Submit.
On click of the work item - the accept & Reject buttons should be displayed but not the Update & Submit and this should be displayed only when the work item is clicked.
Kindly suggest me the way how to get that ..if possible some peice of  code would also be good.
    Expecting an earlier reply !
    shankar

    Hi Shanky,
You can create two module pool programs for requirement.
One is for trigger the workflow and other one is to get the approval.
For the approval, create a dialog method and call the screen using call transaction.
So at run time when the user clicks the work item it will display the Approver screen. under Approve or Reject button you have to call the function module, SAP_WAPI_COMPLETE_WORKITEM to complete the work item.
    Thanks,
    Viji.

  • Approve/Reject buttons in UWL workitems

    Hello,
We are on EP7.01 SP 7 implementing ESS/MSS. We configured UWL Connector under System Admin.-> UWL Config. to pull workitems from R/3 Inbox.
The workitems are coming fine for 'Travel and Expense' , but there are no Approve/Reject buttons there for the Manager to Approve or Reject the Travel Request.
Please help as to why this is happening.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Did you apply 1133821?  95% of the time this will resolve the issue with the buttons.  If you are still experiencing the issue after applying this note, please also check the following:
    - Check that after applying Note 1133821 the destination names and the
UWL connector names exactly match, even considering case-sensitiveness.
If your portal system alias (=UWL connector name) is for example
XYZCLNT100, then the rfc destination name should be exactly
XYZCLNT100$WebFlowConnector. Please correct the rfc destination
    accordingly.
    - After you have checked/prepared the RFC destination for the future use
please delete that connector in the UWL config UI (Portal->System
Administration->System Configuration->Universal Worklist) with which you
would like to use this RFC destination.
    After that
    - restart the portal cluster
    - recreate and reregister connector
Now retest.  Are you still seeing the issue?

  • LR Approve and Reject buttons missing?

    Hi,
We have recently customised standard LR workflow and we have replaced standard LR task (TS12300097, TS12300116) to custom task.  We have updated UWL configuration file to add these 2 new task.  We could successfully see the LR raised by ESS user in the MSS UWL task list but when we click on the task we could see the task details without APPROVE and REJECT buttons, these 2 buttons are missing.
We have made necessary changes in the SWFVISU tcode and Portal UWL XML configuration.  Is there any other configuration need to be done to fix this issue(make APPROVE and REJECT button visible)?
NOTE: If we switch it back to standard task the buttons are visible it's invisible only when it's using new task.
    Thanks
    Praveen

    Thanks Vivek.
I have resolve this issue, I found that in the UWL xml configuration I have configured task WebDynproApplication property incorrectly, it was pointing to LeaveRequest instead of LeaveRequestApprover.  Changing this has fixed the problem.
    Thanks anyway.

    Hi all
I have created messages approval rule. when User1 sent message then  Forward the message for approval to User2.

    Hi,
It is so strange. I noticed that the Approval Requested message was sent to two moderators: Administrator and TruongCM. Please confirm if the Approval button is missing in both moderator's Outlook.
Please close Outlook, then send a test email and receive it by using OWA or Outlook Online mode to check whether the issue persists. Also create a new Outlook profile to have a try.

  • Approve Reject button is missing

    Hi,
The central portal is integrated with ESS/MSS, SRM.
Issue : We are not getting the Approve and Reject button in the UWl view for the Manager users.
This issue is occuring after adding the 2 new nodes in the existing Central instance of the portal.
The com.sap.pct.srm.core configuration zip file shows error as Unable to read file in the Universal Configuration.
We are able to upload the xml but it shows the technical name sine the properties file is not loaded(properties file will be part of zip file).
Appreciate if anybody help asap to resolve the issue.
    Regards,
    Senthil

A reason for this behavior might be that the XML configuration file cannot be generated due to the missing RFC destination for the provider connector. As a result of that, the item type information such as available actions, dynamic parameters, visualization parameters, cannot be retrieved from the backend system.
Please Refer to SAP Note 1133821 and create the RFC destination and check if this will solve your issue.

  • Workflow approval/reject buttons have dissapeared

    Hello
I am using workflow task to approve or to reject the workflow assign task. I've just tried to reorder the workflow task fields by entering into "Workflow Task (Sharepoint 2013)" content type, and then entering into "Column order" there,
and then I just reordered some fields inside. This caused the dissapearence of approve/reject buttons from workflow task approval form.
    Please help!
    Thanks

I was having the same issue, though I don't know how I got there.  (I had "help" on the site.)
I performed these steps to resolve the issue:
    Deleted the Workflow Tasks list.
Created a new workflow "Delete Me" for the sole purpose of creating the Workflow Tasks list again.  Publish the workflow.
Went back to the original workflow and selected the new Workflow Tasks list and republished.  The buttons came back.
Then, I deleted the "Delete Me" workflow.
Hoping this solution is valuable to someone else,

  • Approve - reject buttons disappeared

    Hi
We have a custom approval workflow. Today, one of the notifications (which is supposed to have approve and reject buttons) did appear without the buttons on the recipient's task list. However, on workflow admin, the approve result type is visible on the diagram.
What can be the cause of the buttons disappearing? There is no change in the workflow.

  • Can see forward/assign buttons instaed of approve/reject buttons in HR WFs

    Hi Gurus,
Recently a enhancement package was applied for HR and after that suddenly for a E Rec workflow, approve and reject buttons became invisible and instead user can see forward and assign buttons. Please tell me what should I do?
I read Nirmal's post in which there is a mention of a SAP note but can there be other reason for it. How should I solve this.
Please help me as this is a severity 2 issue.

    Hi Vijay,
We have maintained below tasks in the SWFVISU and UWL task registration in the portal.
There are two entries (of Task) which should be maintained in transaction SWFVISU
    1) TS91000033 - Decision Learner's Participation
    2) TS12000005 - Cancel Participation in Dialog.
But this change is working fine in our Dev,Quality environements and not in Production.
We are still facing issue in Production.
Could you please suggent what changes could solve this issue.

  • Disable Reject Button for Invoice on Work Item Screen

Hi! I know we can use the Dynamic Column configuration to disable and enable the Approve/Reject button on the Inbox screen where the approval work items are displayed. However, I would like to know whether it is possible to have only the Reject button disabled? Reason for asking this is a rejection reason needs to be maintained for the rejection. The check is in place if we reject the invoice from the detail screen. However, if we reject it from the Inbox screen, it will go through without any warning or error message. I have searched OSS notes but found nothing so am wondering whether this can be considered a bug or not. If not, then I want to know what solution option I have relating to this. I am thinking of either a repair to disable the button on the screen for invoice approval or find a why with the dynamic columns to do that.
Appreciate any comments on the above.
    Cheers!

  • Calling BAPI on click of Approve/Reject button

    Hello All,
I have a GP Application in which the initiator fills out a form which goes for approval to the approver.....now once the Approver clicks on Approve/Reject button i want to call a BAPI to update certain fields in the R/3 ......since those 2 buttons are part of the standard SAP Visual Approval Callable Object ....please let me know if this is possible....
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Regards.,
    Anil

    Hello Anil!
    Basically, you have two options:
1.) You can invoke the BAPI from your VC model when the button is clicked.
2.) You can invoke the BAPI from the GP.
First of all, you should consider wrapping the BAPI with a web service.
For option 1: Import your web service into your VC model and invoke it when the button is clicked.
For option 2: Create a callable object from you web service. In the VC you must now provide a result state, which indicates whether the approve or the reject button has been clicked. Depending on this result state you can now invoke the callable object in your GP.
    I recomment option 1.
    Best regards
    Alexander

If the new phone has already been setup, make sure the phone and iTunes are both set to the same account.
