You have to use at least the UI API interface in order to open your form and link the text boxes to tables in the database. Please have a look to the UI API samples provided with the SDK.

Issue on MS Outlook Integration Initialization

MacBook Pro won't shutdown or restart properly

I am having difficulty shutting down or restarting my core 2 duo macbookpro. When trying to shutdown or restart normally (either by clicking on the blue apple logo on the menu bar and clicking shutdown/restart or by tapping the power button and clicking shutdown/restart), OSX closes all running programs, everything (icons, menubar, dock, etc) disappears except for the wallpaper, and then the screen turns a little dim like the mac is about to shutdown and the little circle (progress) shows it's running. So far everything is completely normal. the problem is that it stays that way and never restarts or shuts down. eventually, i have to restart manually by holding down the power button. I've waited for long periods of time - nothing happens.
moreover, I have to say that this is not after I've installed anything. it's just the way it is & this laptop is completely new.
ANY type of help or solution would be great.

Sounds like you've got an application hanging on shutdown.
Try this:
Close all applications. Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities. Have only "My Processes" showing. Sort them by name. Do you see any addons or extra applications you've installed in this list? If so, end the process. If you see something you don't recognize at all, ask about it. Once you've killed all the processes related to addons, try shutting down the computer.

Cannot add Purchase Orders?

We have found an issue which is not happening consistently. When trying to add a Purchase Order against certain Vendors, the PO does not get added however we do not get an error either. We have identified the problem be the default setting for Payment Method.
Our vendors are all set with the default setting of check. However when we go into the PO document and change the Payment Method to Blank then the PO gets added.
Again this is not happening consistenly. Has anyone ever come across this issue. Please advise.

If this is somthing that you can reproduce I suggest to take a backup of the db and restore it in a test environment.
In the test db do the following and in this order:
- Uninstall and remove everything related to addons.
- Remove/disactivate any transaction notifications.
- Check if the issue is the same for all users.
- Remove all formatted searches and udfs in the form.
- Upgrade the db to the latest patch available.
After this you might have a clearer picture of where the issue is coming from.

XL Reporter Install -   Can't delete [ServerName]/IXMetaSBOOEM

I'm attempting to install the latest version of xl reporter after upgrading to patch level 45.
After putting in server and sa login information I get the following error

Hitting retry causes the same error to occur. Hitting Cancel produces a second screen with the following

Please try the following steps:
1) Un-assign the all SAP Business One AddOn's. Un-assign an add-on at SAP Business One > Administration > AddOns > AddOn Administration
2a) Steps to delete a corrupted AddOn registration.
- close B1
- Check Task Manager. If SBO AddOn.exe runing close it
(Remove an Addon from Control Panel->Add/Remove Program if it's still existing. Normally do not use control panel to removing Addons).
2b) Delete a following files from:
-> From \...\SAP \SAP Business One
*AddOnsInstall.sbo
*AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo                                               Please note if you have another add-ons you'll have to install those again, later on.
-> Delete folder
3)
a) From Windows 'Start' button select the run option
b) type %temp%
-> Remove SM_OBS_DLL folder from Temp
-> Delete from temp folder all that are related with Addons.
c) Open Regedit
Delete ILytix folder from HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software Delete AddOn folder from HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> SAP ->
-> SAP Business One -> Addon
Delete AddOn folder from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> SAP
-> SAP Business One -> Addon
Delete the database IXMetaSBOOEM (if exists) from SQL Enterprise manager.
Also delete the tables:ixtDBVersion, ixtRepObjects, ixtReprelations, ixtRepXls and ixtRepXml 1 by one if they are still present in the
company database. ( Delete all the tables and views that are related to XLR (starts with ixt and ixv)).

Hi Hariprasad,
In order to slove your problem, please try the following:
Please try to reinstall the DI API again as following:
1. From Start > run > type in %temp%> remove SM_OBS_DLL or rename it.
2. From Add or Remove Programs remove SAP Business One DI API.
3. Reinstall DI API. The setup file is located in the newest patch
file of Business One
which includes upgrade application as well.
4. Reopen Business One and try again.
If this does not solve the issue I'd advise a reinstall of XLR in the
following fasion:
Uninstall the Add-on and Re-install the Add-on after cleaning
the client as per the SAP Note: 819501
Take the backup of company database and IXMetaSBOOEM.
Copy all of your reports to disk by using the export option.
1) Un-assign the all SAP Business One AddOn's. (This is most important)
Un-assign an add-on at SAP Business One
-> Administration-> AddOns-> AddOn Administration

All the views starts with ix from the company database.
Check whether the DIAPI version is same as the client version.
Install the Latest patch of XL Reporter and Make sure that you are
logged in to SAP Business One as a Super User.

Web Browser Flicker

Hello!
I installed the latest version of Flash (10,2,159,1 installed) and now I see constant flickering on any page in IE 8, when i disable the Flash plugin the flicker stops.
Is there a fix for this?
Can I roll back to an earlier version of Flash ?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi, ok on updating the driver. Did you UNcheck the hardware acceleration? See if that makes a difference.
Yes, the hardware accelerator option is not checked, with no difference in appearance.
Flash Player Installs the Shockwave Flash Object ad on into the IE browser. Go to Tools, Manage addons and under "Show"(very light text) and look in all addons or run without permission. Is this add on Installed, Enabled and what version?

Is Awesome Screen Shot a viable and safe add on?

I just installed Version 4 and looked at the add ons. When I clicked on Awesome Screen Shot, it came up with an advisory. Since I don't know them but I know you...what is your opinion, is it safe to add to my computer?

In firefox 4 RC, some addons installed suddenly disappear, but checking the profile, some of the missing addons related files are still here, how to make the addons back?

I use firefox 4 form beta 9 to RC (zh) now and there are also firefox 3.6 installed in computer. One day when I open Fx 4 RC, some (actually a lot but not all) of the adoons just disappear. When I check on about:addons page, some addons installed do not appear in the list.
The addons '''REMAINED''' including:
* addons I already used in Fx 3.6 (like webmail notifie , xmarks)
* ''addons only can use in Fx 4'' (like Open Web Apps for Firefox).
The addons '''DISAPPEARED''' including:
* addons I already used in Fx 3.6 (like yoono)
* '' addons installed when using Fx 4'' (like updatescanner, Thumbnail Zoom).
But when I check the profile(by Help > Troubleshooting Information>Open Containing Folder) , some (not sure is it all) of the missing addons related files are still here [lucky], so any one know how to make the missing addons back?
Some more details:
* This happened when i use RC for already a few days and keep on even i restart Fx and windows.
* The bookmarks, history, search engine and even themes and icon setting are still here. [ I only sync bookmarks but not history for both xmarks and firefox sync.]
* This addons are really '''disappeared''' but not disable only!
* This number of addons missed, as i remember, at least 30, should be more than that number bacause some of them are installed but in disable mode.
* I try to install back one of the addons - Stylish, the installed code are still here.
* It is nearly an impossible mission to install every missing addons again, as it really kill my time.

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar to do a compatibility check.

I upgraded to latest firefox beta 5, it broke my tab related addons, i went back to 4, and they're still broke. How do I fix this?

The following addons appear to have been permanently corrupted by upgrading to firefox beta 5:

Session Manager

I had others, but have been disabled since before the upgrade.
The problems:
I can't scroll through either webpages or through tabs (that may be an addon feature), the display looks way off, like the resolution inside the window is smaller (not sure how to describe), the options window from the tools menu gave a blank firefox brown window w/ OK/Cancel buttons, the addons/extension window became a tab I couldn't close, and clicking on the Feedback under Help menu did nothing - I had to go to Help>Restart w/ addons disabled to make it work.

What I did:

It sounds to me like there are two separate processes being intertwined above:
1. Setting up your daughter's MacBook with identifying info; e.g., Apple ID for the user account on that machine.
2. Transferring the iTunes library (a very different operation).
Have you used Apple's Migration Assistant to move your daughter's information from her old machine to the MacBook? That would have avoided this whole issue.
If not, either start the process over and use Migration Assistant, or try to more carefully and precisely define exactly what you did to accomplish this transition. You said, for example, "there was already an Apple ID assigned to this computer." That statement almost certainly did not originate with iTunes.

AdobeReaderX pdf issues in IE9. Possibly related to ACROPDF.DLL Addon

I have installed and uninstalled and reinstalled AdobeReaderX and still can not open pdf's in IE9. Only thing i see that may be causing the issue is my addon ACROPDF.DLL is not listed in LOADED ADDONS. How can I resolve this issue?

Could you please let me know the following details:
1. What is the version of Adobe Reader being used on your system? Is it 10.1.3? If not, please download and install the same from http://get.adobe.com/reader/
2. Are you using the 64 bit version of IE? If so, please switch to the 32 bit version of IE since the Adobe PDF plugin is not compatible with the 64 bit IE.
3. If you indeed have version 10.1.3 and are using the 32 bit version of IE , please let me know the exact bvehavior seen when you try and launch a PDF in the browser. Do you get an error or a blank page or something else.
4. Is the following checkbox checked under the Reader Preferences (Edit > Preferences > Internet)
"Display PDF in browser"

Firefox 23.0.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate hangs when I try to click on "Options" next to any addon in the addons menu.

I am unable to access the options for any of my addons in Firefox 23.0.1 - clicking on "Options" causes browser to hang. Also, most of my addons do not appear to be working.

Updated the Adobe Acrobat plugin to version 11 as it is listed as being vulnerable, and this appeared to be completed, yet the version in Firefox still states 10.1.7.27 and is still being marked as vulnerable when I check to see if my plugins are up to date.
Not sure if any of these things are related.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox on 23rd August with no change.

I emailed Zondervan to see if they might be able to direct me to a downloadable manual. The referred me to laridan.com who now supports their software.
I followed the instructions, taking into account some things that were already where they needed to be, hot synced it and it seems to be working fine with 7.8 M free space on my Palm which I trust is enough for my other very large applications.

Load XML file from addon domain without cross-domain Policy file

Assuming that there are two addon domains on the same server: /public_html/domain1.com      and      /public_html/domain2.com
I try to load XML file from domain2.com into domain1.com without using cross-domain policy file (since it doesn’t work on xml files in my case).
So the idea is to use php file in order to load XML and read it back to flash.
I’ve found an interesting scripts that seems to do the job but unfortunately I can't get it to work. In my opinion there is somewhere problem with AS3 part. Please take a look.

I think you might be right about permissions/settings on the server for php. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to adjust them.
So I wrote my own script - this time I used file path instead of http address of the XML file. It works fine in my case.

PS: for those who read the above discussion: the first and the second script work but you must test which one is better in your situation. The first script will also work between two domains on different servers. No cross domain policy file needed.
