Release Code 99 High Level Release

Hi Guru's
I have a question about release codes in config. It seems as if in the config I am looking at, someone has set release code 99 (High Level Release) on several of the levels. Does High Level Release mean that this code can release any/all amounts? If not, what does "High Level Release" mean.

Assingning release code as 99 mean, it is not the highest no of SL no.
Release code means uniquely identfication of a certain User login under one Release Group. Based on this release stragey (Approval procedures) will be set.
It doesnt mean that assigning Rel. code as 99 becomes as a Highest release level.
Actually there are only 8 release levels will be there, in that 8 levels sequence 8 is teh highest level of authorization and 1 is the first level authorization., in that we can assign this Release code 99 either as 1 or 3 or even 8.

Not to cancel whole release with 1st level without cancel with higher level

Hi
In case of release of PR or PO I have maintained Release Prerequisite. So I can't release with 2nd level of release code without releasing with 1st level of release code. In case of cancelling release reverse should happen. i.e. I can't cancel release with 1st level of release code without cancelling with 2nd level of release code. But I am able to cancel the whole release with 1st level of release code irrespective of whether I have cancelled release with higher level of release codes or not.
I want this not to happen.
Any suggestion ? Is there any customizing seting to be maintained.

Unable to release the higher level WBS

Hi,
at my system am having a user status 'review' and 'release' at wbs level.
Unless i review and release the subordinate WBS, am unable to release the higher level WBS.
is there a possibility to directly review and release my higher level WBS which results all its subordinate WBS reviewed and released automatically.

I am getting the error " No wbs element found while substituting wbs element 00074419.at the time of creation of invoice from OBD
I ahve refered note 672929 , solution is "Define a higher-level billing element for the selling company code in your network" but then I odnt ahev anything defined in the network.
Pls guide me how to go about it

HI,
- Any of the WBSE which are hierarchically superior to your WBSE "74419" should have the relevant company code.
Check for any such superior WBSE in your structure & assign the company code, in question, to it. It should be a billing element also.
this is because, while billing system checks for the proper revenue receiver cost object in the particular company code.

High-level view of steps for 10g OWB-OLAP to Discoverer

I would greatly appreciate ANY feedback to the following steps. These are not necessarily correct or the best way to do this. I am attempting to take source data, use OWB, create the analytical workspace, and from there have the metadata available and used by Discoverer.
This is rather high-level, feel free to jump in anywhere.
We are trying to see if we can get away with NOT using the Analytical workspace manager (AWM) if possible. With that in mind, we are trying to make the most of the process with OWB & OLAP.
Is this possible to do without ever using the AWM? Can we go end to end (source data--->discoverer final reporting) primarily using OWB to get to the point where we can use the metadata for Discoverer?
Can anyone relate experiences perhaps that would make me want to consider using the AWM at certain points instead?
Most importantly, if I do use this methodology, would I be safe after everything has been setup? WOuld I want to consider using AWM at a later point for performance reasons while I am using Discoverer? Or would OWB be helpful as well in some aspects in maintenance of data? Any clue on how often I might need to rebuild, and if so, what to use in that case to minimize time?

I guess the answer is that this depends. My first question is whether you are looking at a Relational OLAP or Multi Dimensional OLAP solution? This may change the discussion slightly, but just lets look at some thoughts:
In essence you can use the OWB bridge to generate the AW objects (cubes etc). If you do that (for either ROLAP or MOLAP) you will get the AW objects enabled for querying, using any OLAPI query tool, like BI Beans or the new Discoverer for OLAP. The current OWB release does not run the discoverer enabler (creating views specifically written for EUL support in Disco classic).
So if you are looking at Disco classic you must use the AWM route...
The other things that you must be aware off is that the OWB technology is limited to cloning the relational objects for now. This means that you will create a new model based on your existing data. If you want to tweak the objects generated you will probably need to go to the underlying code in either scenario.
So if you want to create calculated measures for example you could generate a cube with OWB, create a "dummy measure" and add the formula in OLAP DML. The same will go for some other objects you may want to create such as text measures...
The benefit of creating place holder or dummy measures is that the metadata is completely in order, you simply change the measure's behavior...
For the future (the beta starts relatively soon) OWB will support much more modeling, like logical cubes and you can then directly deploy to OLAP. Also the mappings are transparent to the storage. So you map to a logical cube and OWB will implement the correct to load either OLAP or relational targets.
We will also start supporting calculated measures, sparsity definitions, partioning and compression on cubes, as we will support parallel building of cubes.

ME9F generates authorisation High level risks, why?

Please, advise why transaction ME9F - Message Output: Purchase Orders generates High level risks with such transactions as
MK01     Create vendor (Purchasing)
MK02     Change vendor (Purchasing)
XK02     Change vendor (centrally)
MIGO     Goods movement
ME54     Release Purchase Requisition
MI04     Enter Inventory Count with Document
ME28     Release Purchase Order
etc. As I understand this transsaction is used for view and printing of output. Why such risks as "Enter Purch Agreements & create/modify fictious Vendor " or "Ability to create a purchase contract and release PO" come up?
In what conditions such risks can be reasonable?

Looking through really old posts of mine I saw that I had given this question a brain-dead answer years ago. I seriously doubt the poster is still looking for a solution (I certainly hope not) :) Almost assuredly the problem is because of a mismatch in data types. TRUNC(s1.date1,'DD') won't produce a number but rather a date truncated to midnight. TO_CHAR(TRUNC(s1.date1,'DD'), 'DD') will produce a number. It's difficult to tell from the code what the poster is trying to do, so I can't tell if that's the answer.
P.S. I wasn't actually trying to bring this post to the top of the thread -- I was just editing what was clearly an incorrect answer.

I am getting the above error while Releasing the Billing document to Accounting. I have created a ZTAX - Manual Tax (for enterring VAT% manually). Created the Sales Order, Delivery and Billing. At the time of document releasing to accounting i am getting above error.

High level contract and orders created with reference

Dear All,
The client is an integrated flat steel manufacturer. They have entered into quantity contract with high level products like for example Hot rolled coils + Cold rolled coils + Heat Treated plates 5000 T per month. There is no clear cut quantity breakup of each product. On monthly basis customer releases purchase orders with exact grade and dimensions. The requirement is to capture contact for 5000T and create orders with reference to the contract with necessary completion rule. Since exact break up of the high level products is not known controlling of order quantity to 5000T will involve lot of manual intervention. I was thinking in the contract we have high level material "X with 5000T and orders created with reference with actual materials like Hot rolled coils, Cold rolled coils and exact dimension/grade mentioned. Is this possible to have different materials in contract and order with enhancement?
Any other idea of fulfilling the requirements is welcome.

Go through EKPO there is a Table BANFN it will update when you create a PO with reference to PR
Do se11 > Table EKPO> CtrlShiftF10 > Assign any of PO no. in the EBELN > Execute > you will find BANFN table
it indicates Purchase Requisition Number. it will update when you create PO with reference to PR.

APO DP: Disaggregation to product&plant level from higher levels.

Hi.
We do demand planning on groups of products and for country/region in general, we have around 48.000 CVC's in our current setup. It works very well.
A new situation has arisen where we need to have the forecast split down to product and plant level.
As is we simply don't have the information at this level of granularity.
I don't see how we can add for instance product to our setup, we have around 20.000 products so the number of CVC's in DP would become massive if we did this.
I was thinking that perhaps something could be done by exporting the relevant key figures to a new DP setup with fewer characteristics (to keep the number of CVC's down) via some infocubes, perhaps some disaggregation could be done via some tables and the BW update rules. This still leaves the issue of how to get the figures properly disaggregated to plant and product though.
Does anyone have experiences on how to get the figures split to lower levels from DP when you're planning on a higher level?

One approach as you mentioned can be creating Z Table where in you set up disaggregation proportion from product group level to product level or product location level.
Product Group X 100 Product A@loc1 10
Product B@loc1 90
Download your planning area data into infocube C and then use BW routines to convert the data from group in infocube C to lower level refereing Z Table....into another infocube..
SAP also provides such standard functionality of spliting the aggregate Demand plan to detailed level
SNP plan..through functionality like location slit or product split.
Essential you will be using same concept in yor BW solution or you may also want to consider the
release your DP to SNP planning area its as solution of diaggregation of data to lower level.

Hi,
Install weblogic, SOA and OIM binaries in the second host. Stop OIM and SOA servers in the first host.
Since you are done with installing OIM and configuring domain on one host, you login to the weblogic console and from server create two managed servers one for SOA and another for OIM with listen address and port of the second host.
From Clusters create two clusters, one for SOA and another for OIM. Add the oim servers to the OIM cluster and SOA servers to the SOA cluster.
Create Two machines with host addresses of two hosts and node manager listen ports.
Add weblogic admin server, oim server and soa server of first host to first machine and oim server and soa server of the second host to second machine.(Second machine wont have weblogic admin server)
Run the pack.sh utility to pack the domain from first host, this will create a jar out of your domain in first machine.
In the second machine run unpack.sh which will unpack the jar in the second machine.
Additionally you can follow this link for fresh setting up of OIM in high availability mode.

Running a Sub-VI and monitoring data that is generated on a higher level VI

Hi All,
This question must been there before, but I cannot find a suitable answer here on the forums....
I have a 'top-level' VI that does a lot of things. I also have a sub VI that runs a frequency sweep on a piece of equipment. This is done with a for loop.
Problem:
I want to monitor/access the data that is generated in the for loop (See attached, the 3 wires within the green circle I want to monitor).
2 Questions:
How can I access the data on the wires (within the loop) from a higher level VI?
How can I then run this VI in a higher level VI while the higher level VI is continuing and not waiting for the sub-VI to complete?
I tried using a Que but I cannot seem to get that working.
Any suggestions?

The queue is a good way to move data from a running subVI to another VI. Your problem is that if the subVI is inside a loop in the main VI, that loop in the main VI cannot iterate until the subVI completes. The solution: have the sub VI running in parallel - not inside - the loop.
Look at the Producer/Consumer Design Patterns (at File >> New... >> VI >> From Template >> Frameworks >> Design Patterns >> Producer/Consumer. This may be more than you need at the moment but will show how the parallel code process works.

Item already defined at a high level in the product tree

Hi experts,
when I add a BOM into the system, says A is consisted of B and C, I click the button to add this BOM, but system tell me an error "Item already defined at a high level in the product tree. Row no. 2".
Row no 2 is item C, I check all my BOM, C is not contained in any BOM, and B is in another BOM but that BOM didn't contain C or A.
A is in a BOM, but in that BOM, there is no C. It's wreid why C already defined at a high level in the product tree. Thanks...

How to change the order of cascading prompt?[The prompt at higher level appears at TOP]

Hi Guys,
I have one doubt in cascading prompt without Hierarchy view in UNIVERSE 3.1
While running a report with it.
The prompt at higher level appears below the prompt at lower level.How can we change the order,i.e, I want Level 2 Account Code as top and then Level 3 Account Code ?
It can achieve in hierarchy view,but i don't want to set it as hierarchy view,because there are huge number of Level 2 Account code[Search pattern is not available too]
