Release Strategy concept in sale order

Dear All,
My requirement is that credit limit check at the time of sale order creation will be three category i.e. if 10% excedds releasing authority will be user 1,If 15% exceeds releasing authority will be user 2 and If 20% exceeds releasing authority will be user 3.Can any one please tell me how I can map this scenario through VKM3.
Valuable solutions will be rewarded.
Regards,
SP Shukla.

hello, friend.
you can do this with the help of BASIS.  in tcode PFCG, you can configure levels of credit authority.  the profiles you create will then be assigned to users.
in PFCG you create profiles with a list of t-codes a user is authorized to transact.  you can include VKM1 and/or VKM3.  when you do so, you will find options for these t-codes when you set up authorizations.  you can very well limit a user's authority to release to, say, 10 to 14%.  another user's authority is limited to 15 to 19%.  a third user can be authorized to release 20% and to whatever percentage you specify.
BASIS will then create user accounts, and assign the profiles created in PFCG to the user account.
as this is a systems administration issue, the responsibility rests with BASIS with you as SD consultant helping.
regards.

  • Workflow in the releasing of Credit blocked sales orders.

If once sales order is blocked then it should be approved at 3 levels, then only it should be released.
    Suggestions are highly appreciated

    Hi Kumar,
I think you can achieve this by using Authorization Concept.

    Hi
I hope you followed the following steps:
    1. Create Characteristic using CT04
    2. Create a class and link to the characteristic using CL02( class type: 32)
    3. Configuration of release procedure
SPRO IMG->MM-> Purchasing -> PO -> Release Procedure -> Set up procedure
        A) Create release group and link to class
        B) Create release code
        C) Set up the release indicator
        D) Set up Release Strategies-> strategy and codes
        E) Set up Release Strategies -> pre requisites
        F) Set up Release Strategies -> status

  • Safety Stock Not Being Released To Cover New Sales Orders Or Forecast

    Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to get safety stock at the lower levels of the BOM to get released for upper level sales order or forecast demand without having to adjust the effectively out to a future date?
    Example:
A = Finish goods item with two weeks lead time
B= component of A and it has two weeks lead time
C= component of B and has 10 weeks lead time.
Have safety stock hard coded with an effective date of today for 100,000 units.
I have 100,000 in inventory and I have planned orders to cover all my demands and future safety stock requirements for the next ten weeks.
I receive a new sales order for 50,000 units with a customer request date five weeks out.
I am getting ATP dates to assign to the new sales order 14 weeks out versus allowing me to use 50,000 units from the safety stock to schedule in week five?
Even If I schedule the sales order for five weeks, because I have gone down two levels to confirm that I have safety stock, and It could be used, planned orders would not get generated at the next two levels, because the demand date on the safety stock is earlier than the demand date for the new order?
Is there any resolution that anyone has found that addresses this issue?
We have set a demand priority rule on the ASCP plan options tab to "Sales Order Priority" where we have set criteria for number one to "Sales Orders & MDS Entries Priority" and number two to "Schedule Date".
We have found that adjusting the supply and demand dates out to cover the full 14 week period does reduce the safety stock at the lower levels, but it also creates additional starts and inventory to be put into the line, which makes this approach not feasible.
Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? We do not build safety stock for the sake of building safety stock. We want it to be used for any sales order or forecast demand that comes within the planning horizon.
    Appreciate any inputs.
    Regards,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
Try this note suggestion, possibly help you in resolving your issue.
How to Avoid Getting Safety Stock Replenishment Too Early in an ASCP Plan [ID 301629.1]
In order to line up the safety stock supply with the changes in safety stock, a combination of the profiles must be used:
MSC: Use FIFO Pegging as yes
    and the plan option
Peg Supplies by Demand Priority is checked.
The profile MSC: Use FIFO Pegging as yes will perform the following:
For all demands and supplies, it proceeds item by item and
pegs supplies to demands on a daily basis. Daily supplies
and demands are not sorted. When supplies or demands
on a given date are used up, it picks from supplies or
demands on the next date. The unpegged supplies are
    pegged to excess.
The peg supplies by demand priority combined with the profile above will prevent the system to plan ahead for safety stock.
Also no safety stock smoothing is setup.
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
    1. Please set the profile:
MSC: Use FIFO Pegging as yes and
    2. Under the plan settings in the main tab the set the following options:
    Enable Pegging ON
Peg Supplies by Demand Priority ON
    Warm Regards

  • User exit for Release Strategy in PM Work Order

    Dear all,
Please help me with the following issue:
My client want to change the approval route of the release strategy of the Work Order. The release is based on the PM Activity Type. Now, I am brand new on the project, I have no documentation and I have no access to CMOD so I don't know where to find the cusomised release strategy for change it.
Please, can you advise on this?
    Thank you very much.
    Sorin

    Dear,
to have release strategy based on "PM ACTIVITY TYPE", i suggest you two ways
    Option-1:
    1) Have permit system with classification as per the approval hierarchy.Create permits as per approval levels.
    2) Once maintenance order is created, system will assign the permits to that maintenance order at the time of saving.
    3) Now approvers will approve the permit with respect to Maintenance order PM activity type.
Note: If your client wants to have mailing functionality to their out look or other mails, put logic in save exit after assignment of permits to maintenance order, with the help of ABAPER and also the sequence of approving the permits.
    Option-2:
    1) Create user status profile as per approval hierarchy with number assignment.
    2) Create "Authorization code" for the user status number.
    3) Provide "Authorization code" to the SAP user ids as per approval hierarchy.
    or
If you have only one app rover, provide authorization of creating order to one user  and "Releasing" the order to other user.

  • Cannot release inventory allocated as Sales Order Stock

Hi All,  I'm very new to SAP and am somewhat unfamiliar with the SD process.  We created a Sales Order (from a customer purchase order), everything was okay until we tried to do an ATF; a change was made to the strategy group (from 20 - MTO to 40 - MTO with final assembly).  That change allowed us to create a new sales order and successful do the ATF and ship the order.  Now, however, we find that there is one item in inventory that has been allocated to that old sales order as "Sales Order Stock", we can see this in MMBE.  We've tried to delete the sales order, but it cannot be deleted.  When we try to delete it, we're getting a message "For reasons of cost management item 000010 cannot be deleted, Message No. V1128"; we have no idea what this means or what caused the initial error with the sales order.  Is there a way to relese this inventory and return it to regular stock and delete that old sales order?  Hope I gave enough information, thanks for your help.

    Hi Xamiaca,
You key in the sales order number in VA02 and ,you can see the production order number  in the schedule line tab(Production- at the bottom). Take down that number and go to "CO02" and see the status of production order and the settlement status. If the settlement has happened, take a FI/CO consultants help to cancel the Financial postings and reverse the goods issue of this production order. After doing all these go to the sale order and delete the sales order ,this automatically deletes the Production order and the sales order stock. If needed the run the report "SDRQCR21" If still you see any inconsistencies after doing all the above.Kindly please let me know If you need any more information on this.

  • Releasing Delivery block in Sales Order

    Dear All,
Here is a requirement where Sales order is first created with delivery block for reason Credit check and to be released only by other user after checking the payment received.
Can we assign authorisation at field level
    Can anybody suggest suitable solution
    Sriram

    Dear all
First of all Thank you very much for the replies
Actually there is no credit management .. Here the situation is My client is the machine manufacturer who sells Industry Machineries. Usual Practice is to collect advance of 30-40% along with Order and balance before Delivery. Sales Executives will follow customer for advance and Balance payments. Once Received Sales head takes the decision of dispatching the machine. Sometimes he decides for the customer who has pending payments also. hence I mentioned Sales head to release. Configuring Credit limit and automatic checking may not be suitable for this Customer. I am thinking of giving authorisation of VA02 only to Sales Head so that he simply changes the delivery block tab and save the order.
I am configuring like this I will update after testing

  • Strategy 63 and sales orders

    Hi!
    We have:
    - Finished good A: Strategy group 63, Planning material B
    - Planning material B: Strategy group 63, Consumption mode 2
Availability check in sales order creation for A checks & consumes planned independent requirements (PIRs) for B. However, we cannot create sales quantity above the available PIR quantity. We would like the system to accept additional sales quantity just like in strategy 40, for example.
How to allow extra sales above PIRs?
    Thanks!
    Tuomas

    Thanks,
'Availability check for sales' and 'Requirements transfer' are checked in VOV6.
It is possible to uncheck availability (or use schedule line category CN). This removes the unwanted 'cannot enter sales orders' but jeopardizes on-time delivery since availability is not checked anyhow.
Seems that this is a feature of planning materials. Just wondering how the sales is supposed to be performed...

    (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/cf/70124adf2d11d1b55e0000e82de178/content.htm):
There are two availability check methods:
    Check against planned independent requirements
    - Used with, for example, strategy 50, 60, 52, 63, 74. (All other strategies use ATP check.)
    - Only planned independent requirements are taken into account
    - No MRP elements (for example, stock) are taken into account
    - No requirement to customize the checking rule
    - The field Availability check is only used to determine the requirements passing (daily or individual requirements)
    Available-to-Promise (ATP) check
    - Check is performed against stock and all other MRP elements (for example, stock, production orders, sales orders, requirements, schedule lines)
    - Option to check against a replenishement lead time (RLT).
    - Very accurate
    - Always performed when production orders are processed.

  • Release strategy for Maintenance work order

    Hi experts,
Can anybody tell me, how could i maintain release as mandatory before work order save?
    Regards,
    sumair

Actually, my requirement is that I don't want to create maintenance order (Specially incase of maintenance plan scheduling) when material is not available/short. I have done all the settings in configuration as well as assigned checking group in material master for availability check at both / individual options of order creation (save) and release. Only the release check is functioning perfectly. So, I am going to resolve this problem by setting "release is mandatory before save."
Do you have any solution to resolve this query?

  • Release Strategy for Asset Purchase order

    Hi,
I have the following client Requirement.
    1. PO document type will be anything but Po created is for Asset
    2. In such case, Release strategy should be approved only be certain groups only. Anyway the Account assignment category will be "A"
As we cannot control the PO Release by Account Assignment category, it has to be controlled via User Exit.
I.e., combination of Acc Assignment category and Purchasing Group should result in a particular strategy.
Can you suggest relevant user exit? This is importantly needed. Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please do the following changes, same is tested by me in Our dev server and works successfully in PO.
Go to Se11 ,open structures -CEKKO (You will find KNTTP-account assignment field is missing)
Click on append structures ,system will ask you object name ,give as anything, then put a description /
Then system will ask you to add new field in CEKKO structures.
Add field KNTTP and save ,system will generate request for the same.
Now create a characteristic as CEKKO_KNTTP and save ,don't give table name here
Once saved,re-open the CEKKO_KNTTP ,here you need to give table name as CEKKO and field name-KNTTP. Define values an save.
then add the same in class ,and then select the required assignment in CL20N ,save.
And check the PO effects,it will works.
