Release the Contract - VA42

Hi all,
I am getting few migrated contracted into ECC. These are initially the User status is in 'LOCK' at header and item level. For this contract a WBS element is linked. The initial WBS status is "CRTD".
I have created a report program to change the user status from "LOCK" to "ACT" both at header and item using FM: "I_CHANGE_STATUS". When header and item are in ACT status, I am releasing the WBS using FM: "BAPI_BUS2054_SET_STATUS". It was able to release the contract successfully. I have used call transaction to "SAVE" the contract.
But in the WBS element, the basic dates and Personnel Responsibility are not getting populated even though it is having the valid data at item level.
I did the same steps manually in VA42. The basic dates and Personnel Responsibility are getting populated from item data.
did I miss something in my report program? is there a BAPI to save the contract (VA42)?
Let me know if I need to give more explanation to understand the issue.

Approver gets refreshed after the contract is released

Hi All,
I am facing a problem while creating GOA i have activated the one step approval workflow WS 14000088 and have the agent assignment based on standard roles. I can see the approver picked up correctly in approval preview but when i release the contract or keep it in held status the approval preview gets refreshed and displays document approved and the approval workflow doesn't start. Also i tried with the N step approval for contract and the workflow behaviour is same in this case. Also in workflow diagnosis i could see error in task WS14500051 and TS14507950 error message 'Recipient not found'.
Please do let me know possible solution so as to get rid of this problem.

Hi,
The problem may be due to the roles which you have assigned to the Contract Creator and Contract Approver.
Check whether you have assigned the role purchase manager to both the users i.e.
1. Contract Creator
2. Contract Approver
Try to Assign the role Strategic Purchaser to Contract Creator and Assign the Role Purchase Manager to Contract Approver .
System may be identifying a role which was assigned to two or more persons and as the Creator is already having this role so it is neglecting the Approver.

Hi Radha,
Have you saved the change properly? Are you calling the function module 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT' after making the changes ?

The below shown screen shot is the output of our Zprogram.The table field name:VBKD-BZIRK, where is has been marked as red colur in box.
While dropping the from Source contract to Target Contract, where the value is not picking to the target contract and finally it is not displaying in the Standard VA42 transaction
     Input value
That same field should come in the final alv output and also include in the va43 transaction sales tab( sales district)
This value must then be inserted into every document which is being transferred.
The above input field dragged from Source Contract to Target Contract, the picked value should reflected in the VA42 transation , but it is not effecting.

Line item is rejected in the contract but release order is created.

Dear all,
as i mentioned that the line item is rejected in the contract so it should not allow to create the release prder or any further process but then also it is allowing to create release order.
please help is resolving the issue
is it a product related bug or functional error
please help me in rectifying the error.

Suppose in a contract if you reject a line item by assigning reason of rejection then when you create a release order with reference to that contract that particular item will not get copied and you will get a log in the release order with regard to that
Suppose in that release order if an user manually enters the rejected item some qty
If this is what you are asking
The ans is system will accept and in no way you can stop it or control it in std SAP
You need to develop some user exit for that
I think it is functional error
This scenario was tested by me

Why won't Apple give out the unlock code for an iPhone 3Gs when the 2 year contract was honored and I continued to be an AT&T customer with an iPhone 4. I wanted my old 3gs unlocked so my daughter could use it overseas when she is deployed. AT&T service over there *****, the international plan was not worth it. The individual SIM cards per country are much more reliable and cheaper. Teslestial in Iraq and Afghanistan, Telecom in Croatia,Vodafphone in Germany and Italy. Why Apple will not unlock these phones for our military to utilize is incomprehensible to me. These young men and women are fighting for these Apple people to go to work every day, safe, to live lives they have become accustom to yet releasing a phone to use on another network they can't do at least for the military.... WHY APPLE?? WHY? A good excuse not some of the many lame excuses I have received on the phone many times. AT&T states it is Apple that will not allow them to unlock the phones... Please tell me why? All I want Is my daughter to have a phone I trust, to be able to call me when she is given the free time to do so and I trust the apple phone.
Apple, please reconsider your stance on this issue. I am having a hard time understanding why you will not unlock the iPhone.
A simple code could allow me to talk to my daughter while fighting for our country the Great USA. Apple should be on the front line and enabling those fighting for our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness to use unlocked phones on reliable local GSM networks.
I honestly hope that someone who has some sort of authority to begin allowing the release of unlock codes, and not forcing people to unlock their phones with some program produced by some hack just to be able to use your wonderful phone. That is is in a nutshell, People love the iPhone so much that they want the ability to use it on the most reliable GSM carrier available to them. That should be a major compliment. Even men and women on the front line want your phone. I agree, my service is not the best where I live either, love the GSM technology so stay with it, but if I had the ability to change to the other GSM network that has much better coverage in this area of the country I would change. To change now I would not have my iPhone and that I will not part with.
Apple, please reconsider opening up the lock code and allow your gem of a phone to be used by many more people in many more areas and most importantly overseas fighting for our country. I know if this is really thought about Apple would understand and come to the conclusion to release the unlock codes, and stop the people from hacking in to use the iPhone on other networks.
I would love for my daughter to be able to use my iPhone 3gs while fighting for our Free country.

I did sign a two year contract and completed that contract. The 3gs is no longer in service. My daughter is going overseas to protect you and your family. I was attempting to find a way for her to have a reliable phone that could offer her some connection with home as she travels through the middle east. She travels in missions all over.
At&T unlocks other phones of theirs why not the iPhone? AT&T says that Apple will not give them the code, it is not the carrier. If I would have known this situation would have come up I would have bought and unlocked 3gs phone"Deggie" . My main complaint is that Apple has not good excuse as to why they will not allow their phones to be unlocked from services well, AT&T . I bought the phone full price, completed the contract terms, even went for and iPhone 4 with another2 year contract, along with owning an apple computer... I love the product. My main issue is give me a good answer as to why you won't allow a phone to be unlocked. It doesn't hurt Apple, People still have to buy the phones from them, and use their App store and iTunes.
Sorry, just upset about my daughter heading over there, boots on the ground, and just pray she will be safe. Would have liked to facetime her while she is in the airports and in specific areas allowed for that.
Please don't come down on me for asking this question. I understand all the contracts etc.... but to single out the iPhone specifically to not unlock after contract is over does not seem fair.

Release Value Contract Report

Hi,
As we can get individual customer released value contract amount through T Code VA43 and report Via T code Z_XX_SD_059 for mass customers which is usually not giving the correct amount of released from value contract. The report which is extracted via T code Z_XX_SD_059 normally not reconciled with the end result of T Code VA43.So, Is there any other T code for getting correct release value contract report for multiple customers? Please share if anyone knows.

tcode Z is an in house development. Check with an abaper why there are differences with respect to VA43.

Error value after modifying the contract

Hi Guys,
I need help in getting the correct values of u2018Released valueu2019 field of Contract.
I have written code in u2018ZV_USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENTu2019. The following code is updating incorrectly on the screen for all line items with the last value of xvbap-awert, when I am saving the contract after modifying it like changing PO date :-
loop at xvbfa where posnv ne 0 and rfwrt ne 0.
    move xvbfa-rfwrt to xvbap-awert.
    update vbap set netwr = xvbap-awert " RV45A-AWERT
              where vbeln = xvbap-vbeln
                and posnr = xvbap-posnr.
    commit work.
Endloop.
If the above code is commented, all line items u2018Released valueu2019 field is initialized.
The values of xvbap-awert for all line items are modifying correctly in internal table xvbap. But in the initial screen of Contract field (VA42) u2018Release valueu2019 is displaying last value of xvbap-awert. This screen field is a structure field RV45A-awert.
Please help at earliest.

After disable the Automatic Alert Resolution Feature in the Correlation Engine, have you restart the Microsoft Exchange Monitoring Correlation Engine service?
I assume you missed something when you edit the config file.
You may change it back and then check the result.

1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
2. If that doesn't solve the issue, backup the device and restore it as new.
In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions

Why the contract data is not modifiable when I create a order

I have already assigned the Contract Profile to a sale order type in the Sale order type definition, and the contract profile has been set correct.
When I create a order by this order type (Ive tried both copy and create a new order type), I cant modify the contract data from Goto>Header>Contract data,
what is the reason, how can I reset it, appreciate for your help, Thank you!

contract is an agreemet made following which we create a sales order called a release order. so, we only refer that and release whats being agreed as part of contract.
Let us look at this situation from a business point of view. so once you create a contract profile and assign to sales order, we cant modify it at the sales order level.

Attach files to a Sales Contract (VA42) using ABAP

Hope everybody is doing fine.
I have 3 or 4 days trying to find a BAPI or Function Module to attach files to a SAP object, in this case, to a Sales Contract (VA42). This is my first time working in a program to do this. I tried to develop a BDC program, but the "Services for Object" control is not supported via BDC.
Does anybody have an idea how to do it?

you have already found the name : generic object services (GOS). Look at the forum, it has already been explained many times. You may also look at the sap library for general information (APIs are not discussed a lot).

How to users from releasing a contract that they have created

Hi,
can someone tell me how tp stop users from releasing a contract that they have created and or changed. It should be released by a different user.
I've been doing some investigation, and it looks as if function module EXIT_SAPLEBND_002 (SAP Enhancement M06E0004) might be the User-Exit that I may need. Does anyone know if this is correct?

You posted your query to wrong forum, should be posted to MM forum.
Anyway probably your users have the authority of transaction code ME35K (Release) and authority object M_EINK_FRG (Release Code and Group (Purchasing)) to be able release contract that they created.

After creating Contract, we convert it to a "Release Order". How we do it? Do we use the standard create PO transaction using ME21n? How are the materials or services in contract are "Called off" ?

Release order for Contract is creation of Purcahse order.
You can directly copy all the items from the contrcat using the Refernce filed in the Item level.
Materials will be copied directly.
Service lines need to Copied again from the Contrcat using the service selection ICon.
You can use also the Drag & drop option by first listing the Contract in the Document Overview & draging it & dropping it in the Basket beside the Document type in Purcahse order screen.
