Remap funtion keys in Abap wd solutions

Is it possible to remap somehow user keyboard function keys when use web dynpro for ABAP?
I now have to use third party product for this but it is amazing if there is no solution from SAP for this because you can not then use dynpros in PDA mobile solutions at all (without third party solutions).
So what i need is: user use web dynpro via broswer, there is input field in window and cursor is in it, user push example F1 ---> awd write F1+ennter into input field.

Remapping the Fn key in Windows * a solution *

Howdy,
If you own a Mac and you're running Windows via Boot Camp, it's likely that you've noticed that there are problems with the operation of the Fn key. Because the keyboard doesn't have a Delete key, it's extremely annoying that you can't use Fn+Backspace in order to get the Delete function.
As discussed in this thread it's possible to remap normal keys on your keyboard with a remapping tool like AutoHotKey. Unfortunately this application doesn't recognize the Fn key by default, so you're still stuck with other key combinations like Command+Backspace = Delete.
I don't use Boot Camp on my MacBook, but I do have a PC with Windows XP. I recently purchased an Apple Wireless Keyboard, which is basically identical to my MacBook keyboard. Using it in Windows is no problem, but the Fn and Eject key both don't work. So I suppose the problem is the same for users of Windows through Boot Camp.
First I used AutoHotKey to remap Command+Backspace to Delete. But I couldn't get over the fact that there were two keys that I couldn't use. So I kept looking for a solution, and finally found one. Using a DLL file for adding support for Human Interface Devices, written by one of the AHK forum members, I was able to get a response back from my Fn and Eject key. I wrote a script that let's you alter the behavior of the Fn key, so it will act as a modifier.
At this point my Fn key is fully functional, and I mapped all the basic OS X functions so they can be used in Windows. So whether I'm using Leopard on my MacBook or Windows on my PC, everything is the same. This means:
Fn+Backspace = Delete
Fn+F10 = Mute/Unmute
Fn+F11 = Volume Down
Fn+F12 = Volume Up
Eject key ejects my drive (without or with a delay just as in OS X)
And so forth.
Because the Fn key question is a common problem for a lot of people, I decided to write a full guide explaining every step of the way in full detail. The guide can be found right here:

The DLL used to retrieve information from the Fn and Eject key has already been used for many other purposes, and made it possible to map a lot of different keys on many different keyboards and other devices like mice and remote controls. By doing so it has proven its worth, and I'm sure that you'll be able to get your Fn key and other special keys working just fine. Whether it's on your Mac using Boot Camp, on a PC with using a keyboard with special hotkeys or on a PC notebook. The guide is based on remapping my Apple Wireless Keyboard, so at least I'm sure that it'll work for Apple keyboards.
Feedback on my guide and script and whether you succeeded remapping your Fn and Eject key is much appreciated.

Well I tried but none of the settings recognized Fn nor Eject on my MBP (penryn w/ OSX and Vista). I even ran through dozens of possible Usage/Page combinations. My other keys were recognized and so what my mouse/trackpad. But not Fn and Eject.
As you state in the write-up "If your key isn't recognized by one of the devices and their settings as listed in the application, it's unfortunately not likely that you'll get your key to work."

How to remap individual keys in Windows 7

Hi all
Received my new W510 yesterday and still discovering
I bought it in the US but live in the UK, so have changed the regional settings to UK. Now, however (and as expected) some keys don't match up, e.g. the " and @ is switched etc.
How do I change/remap individual keys in Windows 7?

if it doesn't work, bios editing will remap the key ( but editing bios will void the warranty.also, you need to have enough knowledge about bios editing. )

E71: how to remap keyboard keys

Hi!
I was wondering whether there is a way to remap the keys on the qwerty keyboard on E71. I basically want a different layout. Is there any system utility I could use, buy, etc.?
The reason I want this is because a standard native Russian keyboard ("jetsukeng" as it is called) is something I am not used to. I prefer a phonetic keyboard sometimes called "yawerty", so I'd like to use it on E71.

My experience with Magic Key has been pretty good, on my E71, although I'm not remapping a whole lot of keys. I remap a few keys, so they function differently, depending on which application is active.

Funtion keys on applet forms

OS: Windows NT
Tool: Forms 6i
Does anyone know what's the keyboard function key to enter a form into query mode. I'm using forms 6i and running them for web during testing. Ctrl+F11 is execute query. Pressing Ctrk+K during runtime list all the funtion keys. I don't see a function key that would place the form in query mode.

F11 and to cancel query it is F4

Remapping character keys (not shortcuts)

Hey everyone,
I´ve got a US keyboard on my Macbook that I would like to use with a german key layout. I actually already physically switched a few keys around and am looking at buying my umlauts (ÜÄÖ) on ebay. Now as I don´t want to replace almost all keys I was wondering:
Is there a way to remap character keys under OSX Lion?
I´m not talking about shortcuts as this can be done in system preferences, I mean actual character key remapping.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there some reason why just switching to the German layout provide with OS X does not work? You do this by going to system prefs/language & text/input sources and checking the box for German, plus the box for Show Input Menu in Menu Bar, and then choose German in the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen.
If the layout provided by Apple is not exactly right, I can suggest another one you can install.

Remapping modifier keys and others via XML .keylayout file

I have a video editing keyboard that requires some keys to be remapped to work correctly on my mac. Specifically I need to remap the modifier keys on the keyboard. The first thing I need to do is remap key 50 to be command instead of ~. I am trying to do this via a custom XML .keylayout file. I have read the documentation on .keylayout files and can't make sense of what it says to do. Also, I've tried many of the keymapping tools that people have recommended and they don't work for remapping modifier keys.
Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Can you remap midi keys in GB version 3? I am currently trying to figure out how to get a snare drum trigger mapped to a Software Instrument snare drum.

Copy $ORACLE_HOME/forms45/admin/resource/US/fmrpcwed.res to say $FND_MOD/resource/fmrweb.res. This file has the Smart Client mapping that you want. You can change the mapping if you wish. Compare this file to the Standard NCA mapping which is $ORACLE_HOME/forms45/admin/resource/US/fmrweb.res. In your html login file (eg testdb.html), you can map it to this file by adding:
term=/usr/testdb/10.7/nca/fnd_mod/1.0.0/resource/fmrweb.res or where your $FND_MOD/resource/fmrweb.res is. You add it at ....FNDSCSGN/userid=APPLSYSPUB/PUB&TESTDB fndnam=APPS term=/usr/..../fmrweb.res.

Possible to remap 0 key from Services to Web?

Hello all,
I have a Nokia 5500 and recently discovered that if I hold down the 0 key (the one with an "i" in a circle on it), the phone launches the Services browser.
However, I much prefer the more powerful and more recent Web browser (both have a globe icon, which is confusing, but the Web browser allows you to navigate full web pages and is quicker to use). Any way to remap the key to launch Web instead?

Remap "menu" key in textmode

Recently I got a new laptop and installed arch on it, but one big nuisance it has is its keyboard: the damn thing doesn't have a "/?" key, one has to use AltGr+q and AltGr+w to get those, which is a big problem for linux users. (I have posted this under "Laptop Issues" because it seems to be a growing trend in the laptop world...)
So I decided to remap the menu key to have a decent slash key, and I know how to do it in Xmodmap, but I would really like a solution that would work in console mode as well.
So, looking at my /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br-abnt2.map.gz, I added the folowing lines there
keycode 135 = slash question degree
control keycode 135 = Delete
alt keycode 135 = Meta_slash
I'm using keycode 135 because that is what xev told me the menu key is.
Also, in my rc.conf I have KEYMAP="qwerty/br-abnt2".
Then I reboot and log into console mode, but it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

It can be put to /etc/rc.local to make it permanent.

Implement activation key in ABAP code

In short:
I want to implement a way to control if certain ABAP code (certain logicial areas) are executed, by having the ABAP code prompting for an activation key.
Much like when you are promptet for a Developer access key or an object key for chaning sap standard code.
The long explanation:
We have som local developement in our system landscape that we want subsiduraies to request an access key if they want to go beond a certain point (or if they want to use this logical part of the develoment).
They should be promptet for an access key - which they then request from the head office.
A case could also be if we are developing an SAP Add-on using AAK (Add-on Assemply Kit) and we want to close of certain areas of functionality, these areas of functionality could then be opened by a access key requested from headoffice.

Do you know how to impelment an access key feature in ABAP?

How to get the decision key in abap program

I have a user decision workflow that have two options: Accept or Reject. This options has some type of id, right? Like '0001', '0002', right?
How i get this ids decisions through a abap program.

The result is found in the workitem container in the '_RESULT' or '_WI_RESULT' elements, you can use the SAP_WAPI_READ_CONTAINER function module to read the data (read the element from the simple container returned table).

Remapping keyboard keys using udev hwdb doesn't work on rightAlt

I'm trying to use udev hwdb for swapping pairs of keys ( esc, caps_lock ) and ( rightAlt , rightCtrl ) . I followed the instruction here Map Scancodes to Keycodes with procedures describe blow. I only succeed in exchaging pair (esc, caps_lock) but failed in (rightAlt, rightCtrl).
Details of Procedures:
Create an empty file under /usr/lib64/udev/hwdb.d with file name 90-custom-keys.hwdb . Add the following lines into this file.
keyboard:dmi:bvn*:bvr*:bd*:svnDell*:pn*
KEYBOARD_KEY_01=capslock
KEYBOARD_KEY_3a=esc
KEYBOARD_KEY_e038=rightctrl
KEYBOARD_KEY_e01d=rightalt

Testing and reboot my system

Thie last 6 lines seems to be complaining the problem, saying that 0xe038 and 0xe01d are invalid scancodes.
But they are scancodes of rightAlt and rightCtrl respectively, which I got from
showkey -s
After rebooting the system with the above settings, esc works as caps_lock and caps_lock works as esc but rightAlt and rightCtrl has no changes.

How to remap fn key to ctrl?

hi, i have a 2.2ghz macbook pro, and currently running leopard. just a simple question, is there a way to swap the function key to ctrl and ctrl to function key on my macbook pro? cuz im used to international keyboards whereas the fn key is between the ctrl and alt key, so how do i swap it? any third party programs i need in order to do that? advise plz thanks

Function keys in abap web dynpro

In webgui and BSP you could use function keys (F1-F12) from keyboard to trigger action. Is there any way( legal or unlegal) to do this in abap web dynpro also?
Most of mobile (pda) systems works via function keys..
