<b>i am working on SRM EBP 5.0. i have assigned to develop an interface to get the REMEDY NUMBER FROM REMEDY SYSTEM when the SC gets approved by all approver.
the scenario of this object is, when the SC gets approved by all approver , remedy ticket should be create in remedy system and get that remedy number from remedy system for further process such as PO create in R/3 system.
after SC gets approved , PO should not gets create Immediately in R/3 until remedy ticket received from remedy system.
give me some suggestion to work on this object.
if any body already implemented similar scenario please give me how you are getting remedy number from remedy system?</b>

I don't know about Remedy system, but if we reduce this issue to an interface issue, here are few options to update the SC after last approval step:
- add a WF step with a custom task that makes an RFC call to this Remedy system, and update SC data. But if it fails, how to hang up the SC ?
- use BADI change (called when updating SC status from approval steps) to make this RFC call in case Remedy # is empty and SC status is "Ordered". But if it fails, how to hang up the SC ? As SC is "ordered" the only think we can do is make the transfer fail with BADI check (in case Remedy # is empty and SC status is "Ordered)... not so good.
The problem here is that you want to block the SC after the last approval step....
In case of Remedy interface error, you must find a way to pass the SC to an admin or back to the requestor.

Hey guys, sorry for the long spam of what is below, but it is really making me insane, and I want to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. I included all information that would be needed, and am very competent with computers (programming, tech work, etc)

I can record it if you wish, but it will take a bit of time.

If you go to the Hardware Forum/Tweaker's Page, they have articles and advise on setup of the computer, and well ... the reasons for having either multiple FAST drives or a large RAID 0 (say, 4-5 3+ TB drives) past your system drive. There's a massive amount of in/out of cache for both system & PrPro involved, and putting all media AND cache/database files on one Green drive with all other functions on one SSD with system and all ... isn't a very fast setup. Adding another fast internal drive and putting some things on that, some things on the current Green, and some on the system SSD would at least improve things somewhat. Other than that, cc merchant is a very experienced person. Not big on long responses, but a lot IN his/her comments ...

How do we interface Remedy (Ticketing tool ) to Solution Manager and is it mandate to enable Solution Manager Service Desk for an effective ChaRM implementation or can we use the existing Remedy tool interfaced directly to Sol Man.

Remote app on iPad2 not showing iTunes interface on ATV2 shared library

I have an AppleTV 2 that's sharing an iTunes library via home sharing over Ethernet from a Mac Mini. Running Remote App on my iPhone 5S, I can control that library as expected. Running Remote App on my iPad2, however, I'm unable to see the main iTunes-like interface that lists songs, albums, artists, etc. on the shared library. While I can see the currently playing song at the top of the screen and have access to the Back, Pause, and Forward buttons, the main pane below that only shows the icons for Home Sharing and Using Gestures. Under Home Sharing, where it says "Tap the Apple TV button in the bottom left...," there's not Apple TV button, only "Devices." I can use the gestures interface in Remote App on the iPad2 to control playback, but I never see the main library interface. Any thoughts you have for remedying this would be really appreciated!

If anyone is wondering, for my party I ended up using my Mac as the server for the iTunes DJ. And I discovered that if more than 5-7 people try to get onto it, it crashes the whole system and the music stops. Glorious.

can you post the table structure?
I suspect that ENTRYID has lesser length than the actual value and in effect the value has been truncated for some reason.
The primary key value is too long, maybe creating a surrogate key would help.

BMC Remedy ticket generation and view its status in OIM using Web Service

I want to Integrate and on-board Remedy system (BMC) with the Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) for my client. It has a standard way for external applications to exchange Remedy ticket data with the Remedy system. Remedy system picks up information from the external interface database table for inbound Remedy tickets and direct it to the appropriate Remedy forms and workflow. (In short it raises tickets for provisioning / deprovisioning / error processing for Target System like ACF2 etc).
Use Cases:
*1.* Visibility of Ticket Status
The status of a Remedy ticket could be viewed by the user by clicking on Remedy Resource object instance found from the "My Resources" link after logging into OIM. Typically the user form should be visible.
Visibility of Ticket Status (Alternative)
The scope of customization of the "My Resources" link to add e.g. "My Tickets" which would show all the Remedy tickets that OIM has raised for the user.
*2.* Web Services
The Remedy application would notify OIM when the status of a ticket is changed within the Remedy System boundary. Ideally a web service hosted by the security team would get called by the Remedy Application and OIM would be updated by the service
This is an urgent requirement and your feedback would be very valuable and highly appreciated. I am looking forward for a solution for both the use cases but the priority is on 2nd use case i.e the web service part using SPML.

Adding new peer without removing cmap from interface.

I have a frustrating issue with a dynamic VPN head end running IOS 15.2 on 2900's. I have existing keyrings, and isakmp profiles (both main and agressive) running. When I add in a new peer, by adding in a keyring prechared statement and a match identity in the isakmp profile, phase 1 biulds but phase 2 only gets right to the end and the Cisco side resets the connection because it did not get back a response to it's Phase 2 proposal.
I have tried a number of soft clear commands to remedy this (I do have 16 other production tunnels I do not want to take down) and no avail. This is very consistent. We had this happen last week in the same manner, and the TAC finally said I must reboot the system. So I removed the cmap from the interface, and reapplied it (using notepad to do it all at once). All the tunnels dropped, and after a few manual restarts on the far end for thos etunnels that are tempermental, all tunnels came back up, including my new add.
I have a pair of 3900's running 15.1 code in the US that terminate the same tunnels, and I can add and remove PEERS all day long without resetting anything. Has anyone one encountered this before? Could there be a more polite way of resetting what ever it is that removing the CMAP does to allow my new peer to get the full treatment here?
(I am not asking for VPN peer config help, as I know this tunnel template I am using works, but if you want to see it)

SAPGUI for Java (on Linux) haven't supported SMARTFORMS yet. SMARTFORMS only supported on SAPGUI for Windows for now.
Some people suggest you to use wine for emulation of SAPGUI for Windows on Linux.

ISE - AV Link remediation redirect problem

Dears,
Am working on ISE 1.1, and am facing a problem after the posture assessment for a machine, if the machine doesn't have the correct antivirus, the NAC Agent suggest the following link remediation: http://kaspersky.test.com, when the user tries to click on the link, the link is redirecting him to the client provisioning page instead of the right page of the antivirus installer. Even if I try to put the IP address instead of the link http://10.10.10.10 the problem persist.
Any ideas what could be the problem?

If this is for a wired interface then you need to check the redirect acl and make sure that the entry is not redirecting remediation traffic.

NAC Agent - Loop in Remediation WSUS

Hello,
I´m implementing WSUS Posture in my ISE environment.
When NAC Agent detect a new Windows Update, the Remediation Action is Automatic. I configured Show UI the Wizard Interface and this is working well.
But, after the windows update instalation, the NAC Agent stay in Remediation Process. Looking for WindowsUpdate.log file, I see repetitive messages like:
Updates Found = 0 OR Found 0 Updates and X categories in search.
If I use the Windows Update from Windows to Search and Install the Updates, work very well too.
The image attached, ilustrate my problem(In this point, The Windows Update instalation was done):

Approximately after 30 minutes, NAC Agent finished the process of Remediation. (Only 1 Windows Update package)
apparently the station sends many reports to WSUS and while it does, the NAC Agent continues Remediation on the process, even after installing the update.
I'm sure there are how to optimize it, but if anyone has any tips I'd appreciate it.

User Interface Fonts (CS4)

My wife just got a new PC and a 23.5" widescreen monitor. It's great, but with the high pixel density of the screen (1920x1080), DW CS4's fonts in the menus and other user-interface items are really small and hard for her to see. Windows 7 has a way of setting on-screen fonts to a larger size, which works in most programs, but (unsurprisingly) not in DW.
I think from past discussions that I recall that this is pretty much a lost cause, but since we're thinking of upgrading to CS6 when it comes out, I'd like to know if this situation has been remedied even in CS5 or CS5.5?
With the increase in screen densities this is getting to be a real issue, and it's just not good practice to render these fonts at what is essentially a fixed pixel size. We're also not getting any younger (I'm in my 60s), and it's not fun to have to strain to see what's on the screen.

User Interface (GUI) fonts like menus and such are set in Windows in the advanced Display settings, even in Windows 7.
That won't (or it may - I don't know) increase things like items in the Files panel, but you can set a larger size and different font for other menus.
The Code panel can be adjust infinitely in the DW preferences.
I work on a 1024X600 netbook and a 1440X900 19" monitor, but I still keep the resolution as high as I can get it, even though I need my glasses to see it.

How can I give the "user interface thread" higher priority?

We do alot of activex calls to front panels. We need to increase/decrease the priority of the user interface thread to resolve our thread problem. Anyone know how to do this?

As P.M. was saying, you can adjust the thread priorities
through the VI Properties dialogue.
Another place to modify the multithreading system in LabVIEW is a VI
located at: [LabVIEW Directory]\vi.lib\Utility\sysinfo.llb\threadconfig.vi. However I do not think this will remedy any
problems you are having.

Priorities in the User Interface and
Single-Threaded Applications
Within the User Interface execution
system, priority levels are handled in the same way for single-threaded and
multithreaded applications.
In single-threaded applications and
in the User Interface execution system of multithreaded applications, the
execution system queue has multiple entry points. The execution system places
higher priority VIs on the queue in front of lower priority VIs.
If a high-priority task is running and the queue contains only lower priority
tasks, the high-priority VI continues to run. For example, if the execution
queue contains two VIs of each priority level, the time-critical VIs share execution time exclusively until both finish.
Then, the high priority VIs share execution
time exclusively until both finish, and so on. However, if the higher priority
VIs call a function that waits, the execution system removes higher priority
VIs from the queue until the wait or I/O completes, assigning other tasks
(possibly with lower priority) to run. When the wait or I/O completes, the
execution system reinserts the pending task on the queue in front of lower
priority tasks. Refer to the Synchronous/Blocking Nodes section for a list of
asynchronous functions that wait.
Also, if a high priority VI calls a lower priority subVI,
that subVI is raised to the same priority level as the caller for the duration
of that call. Consequently, you do not need to modify the priority levels of
the subVIs that a VI calls to raise the priority level of the subVI.
Thus changing the priority of your VI will change the
priority of UI calls for that particular VI.
Again, I caution you because I suspect that if you are having problems
with your application not running correctly, I do not believe that manipulating
the thread priorities will resolve these issues.

Nac Agent do not execute remediation

Hi to all,
in a lab enviroment i have configured a CAM/CAS solution on 3310 server and I have installed 2 pc (one windows Vista and one XP) with nac client 4.6.2.133 version.
My problem is auto-remediation and manual-remediation, client get me a temporaney access but do not start a live update programa (i use symantec endpoint protection 11).
I have admin right on both pc.
Why I can solve the problem?

There is not automatic remediation for all products. You must launch the endpoint protection, click live-update, then re-scan on the NAC agent and you will pass.

"â¢Not all product versions of a particular vendor may support the Clean Access Agent launching the automatic update of the product. If you have verified that your requirement-rule is specifically for Symantec Endpoint Protection 11, and the rule has automatic remediation configured, then it may fall into this scenario. You may also have it configured where the endpoint protection is not accessible to the end-user and requires admin rights to launch. Please put the client in debug and send the results to TAC for analysis, as it would be the best bet for you to get a clear answer.
