Reminder mails to the approver

hi all,
i got a reqmt where i have to send a reminder mail to the
user's manager for the approval of the user's shopping cart.
can any one tell me how to do this.
where exactly shopping cart number is stored i.e in which
table and field and wht r the related tables
iam new to SRM.

Hi,
BBP_PD is the only transaction where you can see all the related info for tables storing the data for each type of document.
e.g. for Shopping cart(SC),in the selection screen ,you can give the SC no in the field "OBJECT ID" and see all the details(header as well as Item) as well as the table names whcih store this data.As you said there are some common tables also whcih store the data for all the docuemnts like CRMD_ORDERADM_H(for header data).You can however filter teh data in these table for different docuemnts based on the field OBJECT TYPE.e.g. for SC Object type is BUS2121,for Bid invitataion BUS2200..etc..
Similarly you can get all the info related to all the docuemnts whcih are created in SRM i.e. Bid invitation,quotation,Po etc....
For Sopping Cart details,refer tables:

Hi All,
We have a scheduled task which sends Reminder mails for workflow approval which has been pending for more than 5 days.
Recently I created new workflow definitions and reminder task stopped sending mails.
I checked task and it has IapiTaskIfc Class com.frictionless.custom.wkfreminder.sendWorkflowReminder.
How to check this class and do i need to make changes somewhere else to send reminder mails?

To check the class, you need to get the jar from server and decompile it. You can get some idea by looking at the java class file then.

PO creator not getting mails if the approver rejects the same

Hi Friends,
We have an issue in SRM PO approval workflows, our requirement is that the creator should get a mail notification if the PO is rejected by the approver. This is not happening, while in case of shopping cart the creator is getting the mail if rejected.
On little investigation we have found that the workflow via business object attributes is looking at a table 'BBPC_WF_MAILSEND' and sending mail if there is corresponding entry. For shopping cart there is one entry and the fields for sending mails to created, approver etc are checked.
We could not figure out where to maintain this table, can some body throw light please.

How to send a mail to the approver for leave approval(infotype 2001)

While an employee is trying to maintaining its Absence i.e 2001 infotype then an email by default has been sent to the concern person who is going to approve that leave. Can I configure the scenario with out ESS MSS. Please guide me.

Easier than that is to use SAP Standard report to trigger those
emails.
The report is RPTARQEMAIL.
You can use the Approver field which will receive an e-mail when requests submitted by his or her employees have to be approved or (for types of leave not requiring approval) have been posted without approval.
Please check it's documentation.
The customizing of the mail format is made on SE61.
This should solve your requirement.

Send reminder mails to the outlook

Hi everyone,
I have a scenario where i have a modeled deadline branch where if the deadline is missed i am sending recursive mails to the recipients using Rule in an activity .
In the Rule i am using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 for sending mails . I need to send mails 3 times for every 5 mins . for that i have created a requested start deadline with time as 5 min .
and a workflow element status with initial value as 0 . and in the same branch i have used a container operation step where i am incrementing my status value by 1.
and loop until condition is set to &status& = 3.
i am receiving the reminder mail only once in my outlook and the status is set to 1.
it is not getting incremented again . and hence no second reminder mails are coming in my outlook.
Can any one please help .?

I assume you have desigened the workflow template as below.
1. A dialog step where the workitem will be sent for apprval.
2. For the above dialog step you have defined both Requested start and Latest end of Modelled Deadline .
3. In the newly generated branch you have inserted a loop and inside a loop you have defined a step to send mails. End condition for the loop is COUNT = 3.
IF the case is like above then you modify the workflow design as below.
1. Instead of inserting a loop in the deadline brach , you define it outside the deadline branch.
2. Both Dialog workitem and deadline brach and its step must be included inside one loop.
3. Now for the whole loop you deifine a condition in a such a way that the workitem should not miss the deadline and it should be in the completed status then only you will end the whole loop other wise you keep on looping it .
I hope if you remodify the workflow as above i hope it works...

Missing Subject line for the Approval Notification Mail

Hi,
We use CUP 5.3 SP7. We have configured the system for role based approval. We found that the approval notification mail being sent without any Subject line. It's configurable to set the admin mail id, but couldn't find one to set the Subject.
We get the following content in the mail....

Can we set it somewhere from the configuration?

Thx for your reply..But i think you missed my point...Let me try to explain it again...
When we submit a request, the system triggers a notification mail to the approver(s). And this mail seems to be missing a Subject line... and it's shown to be sent from the System E-mail id we set at the SMTP server config.
I couldn't find a tab for setting the E-mail format for the first approver neither at the stage nor in the e-mail reminder configuration.
Perhaps, setting the next approver will help if i had a secondary approver. But we are using a single stage WF in CUP. Am i missing some config step here?

I don need a workflow for PO approval . Only in the case he forgets to approve a PO for one day he needs to get a mail .

Hello,
Design a workflow template which is triggered when the PO is created. Make the template wait for the event 'RELEASED' which is to be triggered once the PO is released. If the event is received, complete the workflow or else, design the deadline monitoring to send a mail to the concerned person if PO is not released.
You need to take care of the event creation after the PO is released and deadline monitoring of the step in the workflow template.
If this is not possible, you can create a program which collects all the POs which are not released within a day of creation and send a mail to the concerned people from the program itself. You have to schedule this program daily at a particular time to send the mail. You do not need a workflow for this.

E-Mail Notification in Approval Process (EP 6.0 SP2)

Hi all,
we established an approval process for specific documents in our KM repository.
Additonally to the notifications in the notification i-View we want to send out notification e-Mails at each approval step.
We have also a subscription service on the related folders, but they only send out an e-Mail when the approval process is finished and the document is already published.
Can anybody tell what we have to do to send out e-Mails at every approval step?

SAP Workflow - Send Reminder Mail

HI,
I am supposed to send a reminder mail to the user in my SAP Workflow. The scenerio is if the user has completed the given Work Item then the workflow ends but he has not completed the task then he should get a Reminder mail after 7 days.

Hi Sachin,
You need to set up deadline monitoring for this.
On the task definition, there will be a tab for "Latest End".
On this you can define the dealine by which the task should be completed (e.g. 7 days from initiation), and the action to take if the deadline is missed (e.g. send a reminder mail).
There is some built-in help on this anyway, so it shouldn't be too confusing.

Reminder Mail for PO/PR approval

Hi Experts,
For PO/PR approval, one mail is sent to respective person.
If the approval/reject activity is not done then one reminder mail should go after 24 hrs and after 48 hrs the PO/PR is required to approve automatically but the hours should consider weekdays also i.e. if PO/PR is created on Friday then the reminder mail should go on Monday because Saturday and Sunday is holiday.
This process should be done using workflow.
Please tell me the process/activity to configure this process.

But how to consider the weekdays for reminder mail.
I think :- Write a program to store the WI's in a Ztable for which Deadline Monitoring has to be done and shcedule in background.
Based on the date of the WI and time between the mail execution send the notification mail such a way.
Alternative:
create 2date and 2 time WF container elements one for latest start and other for latest end (one for each)
Before the workitem execution check create a background acivity step execute a method and in that step check for the creation date of WI whether Friday or Saturday or Sunday.
If its being executed on friday then export the mondays date and time to the wf container element for latest start and Tuesdays
date and time for latest end container elements that you had created.
In deadline monitoring tab of latest start and latest end select the Refer.date/time as Expression type and pass the new dates that you store in WF container element.

Can not send mail from PR Workflow to the approver

I have issues about send mail from PR Workflow to the approver.
Now when user create PR and the corresponding user can receive the workflow items in SBWP.
But no email from the user to approver.
If I assign authorization SAP_ALL to the user that create PR. The approver can recieve the workflow item PR in SBWP and email to their mail
Can you tell me about the authorization that can allow the user to send the workflow item PR in SBWP and email to the approver?
Now user can send mail to external and internal mail and I also configured the mail server in SCOT and can successfully send a mail to users in SO01 by manually creating a message.
Now the approver not receive any email but can receive a workflow item in SBWP

Reminder mail based on the Reminder date in IT0019

Dear Gurus,
When an Employee is hired, I have created Monitoring of Task through Dynamic Action for the Task Type : Probation form.
For eg. The EE is hired on the 1st Jan so the Date of Task should be 31st March and the Reminder date should be 28th February which is dynamically stored in Monitoring of Task
What would be the best way to send reminder mail to that employee's manager based on the reminder date and every subsequent 10 days ?
