I found this answer..
was having trouble getting DirectAccess to enable on Windows 10 preview. The Enterprise version was being used and the issues with the machine name and GPO covered in other threads was also resolved. Instead it turned out that if the DA configuration
has the "Laptop only" restriction used as part of the wizard, the default value will not work with Windows 10. Instead, you have to use GP Editor and edit the WMI for "Laptop only" as follows:

Friendly Reminder: Please Use a Shredder and Go Paperless...

The apartment where we live is very similar to what you described. The mailbox area is adjacent to street where anyone could just walk in and grab stuff if they wanted to. I've lost my USPS parcels a couple of times. Needless to say, I've been shredding my stuff since '98. My wife is also very adamant about having her information shredded ever since someone used her credit card to buy some stuff in Melrose.

I live in an apartment complex and was taken aback this morning when I went to get my mail. We have a semi-enclosed mailbox area with several large garbage buckets in the middle. Typically when you get your mail, you will quickly sort out all of the junk advertisements and quickly dispose them in these large garbage buckets. I have gone paperless for all my bills so most of my mail is credit/service applications or store advertisements. Store ads get thrown away immediately while everything else gets kept for shredding back at home. Unfortunately, a majority of my fellow neighbors simply don't care. They throw everything away if it isn't a bill. Well........this morning, all the garbage buckets were overturned and every single non-ad mail was opened and the contents taken. We're talking credit applications/bills, utility ads/bills, collection letters, you name it... Will this lead to identity theft? I do not know, but these people certainly aren't deterring it. I didn't check the apartment dumpster but it wouldn't surprise me if someone did some diving for personal information. As a reminder, please go paperless (if you can), get yourself a shredder, and most importantly, use that shredder.

I just installed the latest iMovie 10.0.2. Please don't say "look at the help menu" - it doesn't help. This is radically different than the version I'd been using. For starters it automatically converts to mp4 rather than .mov - that's my 1st question

Sorry for the long headline - I'm new to the support community and thought that was the post! I've been happily using my old version of iMovie - I don't even know the number - I guess it was 11? I just installed the most recent 10.0.2 and it is radically different from what I've been using. For starters, whereas my uploaded video used to be in the lower section, and I would edit up above, now it's reversed. Whereas I used to click on the transitions and drag a blur or whatever to my movie right while I was editing, now it's on a different screen. And the easy old Export file button is gone, where you could choose setting, file size, export as Quicktime movie - all gone - now it converts to mp4 and I STILL can't figure out how to get it back to .mov
Please don't say "read the Help manual" - I tried - there's nothing there about any of this. And by the way, I'm not a techie - I taught myself what I needed to know about the old iMovie and am now lost so please no snarks. I would appreciate any help.

Select in browser your movie, click Export on toolbar, choose iTunes, QT etc. then choose size of your file in opening window. And then click Export in this window.

Why can't I make Lightroom use all the CPU-Power (all cores) available for generating Previews?

Dear Lightroom Team,
I've been a Lightroom user since the very first Beta, and I am truly happy with the work you deliver. It changed my way of editing forever, and you guys keep improving it.
Yet there is that one question that bothers me, and that i'm looking for an answer for.
My Workflow has the generate Previews checkbox checked by standard. I usually import between 150 and 2000 photos at once, on occaions it can be up to 5000 photos. Generating Previews always takes a significant amount of time, and Lightroom is only using 25% of my CPU Power while doing so. (using a MacBook Pro 8,2)
I understand the concept, that only using 25% CPU enables me to use the computer while waiting for the Previews. But most of the time I just grab myself a cup of coffee, do the dishes or other stuff, while waiting for the Previews. Usually I rund out of things to do, because it takes ages to Process all the photos. So I would really love to make Lightroom use ALL the cpu power possible.
I'm sure you guys have spent a lot of thoughts while coding this and have a very good answer handy. Looking forward reading it!

On my four-year old Windows 7 i7-860 system LR4.4.1 takes ~0.5 sec. per Canon 5D MKII 21Mp raw image to render 'Standard-Sized' previews with LR Catalog Settings 'Standard Preview Size' set to '2048' pixels. I consider that pretty fast!
I usually build 1:1 full-size previews on import, which takes ~5.0 sec. per image. Processor utilization varies between 15-50% for Standard-Sized previews and 15-65% for 1:1 previews. I consider this pretty slow, but it doesn't stop me from working on the images inside LR's Library and Develop modules.
I wait until 'Copy and import photos' has completed and can see Preview Building has started. LR doesn't slow-down much even with the 1:1 preview building going on in the background. Have you tried working in LR during the preview building (i.e. sorting, rating, keywording, and Develop adjustments)?

Please reconsider using UPS for shipments.

With the recent weather, UPS has been completely incompetent at delivering packages. I have 2 from Best Buy sent out last week (one overnighted, one 2-day), and both have went "Out for Delivery" then to "Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day" 5 days in a row. It'll probably happen again tomorrow. For comparison, USPS has dropped off mail every day this week without issue.
Please consider giving users an option of using FedEx or USPS or just drop UPS altogether. They are terrible, and I'll consider Best Buy an inferior place to purchase things so long as they use UPS for shipping goods.

There should be a User Agent Switcher menu item under Tools, which gives you the browser names you can impersonate.
The menu item name changes to the browser UA you are presently using.
There is also a User Agent Switcher button, you can add it using View -> Toolbars -> Customize, and dragging the button to your toolbar.

iBooks can only read two formats -- .epub and pdf. So you have to convert your lecture notes or powerpoints to one of those. To do that, check the Save, Export, or Share functions of whatever app you are using to create your notes.

When I was trying to delete the emails in my inbox for the Mail app - I followed THESE directions. It did in fact clear my inbox for the Mail app. But then I went to log on to my Outlook account and EVERY SINGLE EMAIL was gone. And not in the Deleted box. Just gone. Here are the directions I followed that screwed everything up. Please help.
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors.
Uncheck "Store deleted messages on the server".
At the drop list for "Permanently erase deleted messages when", choose "Quitting Mail".
Next...
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > General.
At "When searching all mailboxes, include results from", uncheck "Trash".
Select All = command A

i found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!

Well...I went to the modem (Westell, WireSpeed), found the NAT settings, once again, I'm WAY over my head, I am assuming this is a TCP connection (as opposed to a UDP) and per Lorex my mobile devices will use port 1025. So I gave it a "global port range" of 1-10 and I indicated that the "base host port" was 80, 1025, & 9000 (ports 1,2,3). When I selected the 'enable' it asked for a "host devise" my choices are my IPhone, IMac and the IP address for the dvr, so I choose the dvr. I still cannot connect and canyouseeme still can NOT find these open ports. This is taking up my whole day! I don't know how people figure this stuff out.

You can't back up to iCloud until you update to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to back up your iPod on your computer using iTunes. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version, then connect your iPod to your computer, open iTunes, if iTunes give you a pop-up asking if you want to update your iPod, decline. Then click on the name of your iPod in iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer any purchased media to your iTunes library. Next, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click on Back Up Now to back up your iPod on your computer.
When it's done backing up, click on Check for Update (or Update) on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Allow your iPod to update, and leave it connected to your computer. At the end, it will restart and give you the option to restore to the iTunes backup you made earlier. Choose this option to restore your backup and sync your apps and other iTuens media to your phone.

What browser are you using?
The blog post contains significant information related to Premiere Elements 12 Motion Tracking. But, if you cannot access it for some reason, then we will need to troubleshoot via communications in the thread.
SG has asked if you are able to create Motion Tracking effect using one of the graphics included with the program. We will watch for your response to him on that question. Please include in your message to him whether you can obtain your file to track the object using Organizer Tab or Project Assets routes as well as Graphics Tab.

Various tutorials and online comments have pointed to places other than Graphics Tab where objects can be selected and used to track the moving object in the video when the Motion Tracking workspace is opened in the Expert or Quick workspace.
Organizer Tab, Expert or Quick workspace to access Elements Organizer 12. Cascade Windows and drag a video or photo from Elements Organizer into the yellow track box of Motion Tracking workspace.
Project Assets, Expert workspace. Drag text, video, or photos from opened Project Assets into the yellow track box of Motion Tracking workspace.
Graphics Tab, Expert or Quick workspace. Create a png file (graphic) or prtl file (text) and place it in Clip Arts in the Program Files of the program to have a permanent resource. Then from Graphics Tab, drag the newly created graphic or text object into yellow track box of Motion Tracking workspace.
