Remote-Conrol a COM-Application via JNI Error: RPC_E_WRONG_THREAD

hi,
we have written a DLL which launches and remotecontrols an application via Microsoft COM. This DLL is called by a Swing-GUI-Application via JNI. It works fine over years. Now we have rewritten our application as an rcp-plugin. The COM-Appplication still launches fine, but when I call a COM-function of the remote-controlled application i get back an error:
RPC_E_WRONG_THREAD
...which means that the wrong threading model is used. Does anyone know about differnt threading models of a swing application and an rcp-plugin?
thanks for your help

But they are saying that they can use and do program using it but they are using RHEL 4 . They are wrong.
A well done JNI library, regardless of how it is used, should not cause system exceptions.
That would be true whether you created the library or whether someone else creates it.
Although if they don't wish to certify it for specific configurations then that could be the cause. If that and only that is the cause then you are out of luck.
If the real problem is that you are using it incorrectly (which should still not cause that problem) then you need to figure out how to use it correctly.

  • Launch Remote Automator Workflow or Application via Apple Remote Events

    Hi All,
I read in a MacScripter post that a remote application must already be running to send it Apple Remote Events.
    http://bbs.applescript.net/viewtopic.php?id=3727
However I have found that since the Finder is always running you can tell Finder to open the application. I wanted to launch an Automator App on my web server to run a perl script to update an index database.
Open this Scriplet in your Editor:
tell application "Finder" of machine "eppc://Username:Password@IP_Address"
    open file "Server HD:Applications:iTunes"
    end tell
When I run this iTunes launches on the other machine. I use it like.
Open this Scriplet in your Editor:
tell application "Finder" of machine "eppc://Username:Password@IP_Address"
open file "Server HD:Users:admin:Documents:Rebuild IF Index-Quick"
    end tell
The last item "Rebuild IF Index-Quick" is the name of my Automator App.
Be sure Remote Apple Events is on for the remote computer. Also you can do this over the web as opposed to being on the same LAN as the remote computer by using you WAN IP and adding :3031 to the IP Address to direct it to port 3031, be sure to open/direct this port number in your router or firewall to the proper machine.
    Cheers,

Okay, it took the tabs out of my message (also probably my fault).
So ignore things in {} brackets...they indicate the missing spaces.
    tell application "System Events"
{TAB} if ((get name of the processes) contains "iTunes") then
    {TAB}{TAB} tell application "TuneBar"
    {TAB}{TAB}{TAB} activate
    {TAB}{TAB} end tell
    {TAB} end if
    end tell
Right now, someone is probably making fun of me.
Oh, the shame. There it is.

  • How to connect to a COM application?

I am having some trouble talking to a COM application via LabVIEW. I use the "Automation Open" function to browse to the COM application file (.exe). When I run the VI, I get this error message; " Error 3005 occurred at Automation Open: Object specified is not creatable."
I am using labview 2014 evaluation version. I would appreciate any help in this.

Are you talking about an application with a COM interface only or one with an ActiveX interface? ActiveX is build on COM but not the same as it defines several extra aspects of an object server such as a proper typelibrary and automation object factory.
If it is indeed an ActiveX application then it should contain an ActiveX typelibrary that will tell LabVIEW what is available and how to instantiate the objects and how to access the properties and invoke the methods for each object class. Alternatively the applicaton may use a seperate typelibrary file for whatever reason. In that case you should point the LabVIEW browser to that type library instead of the executable itself.
Anothere possibility is that the Automation interface of the application makes use of datatypes that LabVIEW does not support. For instance LabVIEW does not support Generics, so any object that uses generics for instantiation will simply be not available in LabVIEW.
Maybe you cn provide some more information to the application you try to interface to, and also about the type of objects you try to create.

The procedure apex_cdc.enable_table_capture i created myself with no authid mentioned explicitly, so it uses definer rights, by default.
BUt this procedure is simply a wrapper for sys.dbms_cdc_publish.create_change_table.
When I look on the security model for this sys.dbms_cdc_publish, i see it runs under invoker rights. (http://www.psoug.org/reference/dbms_cdc_publish.html).

I have configure remote access feature web application proxy but not configure give the error. The remote name could not be resolved in server 2012 R2.
I have configure Ad and ADFS different server and try to configure web application proxy different server. what setting are required for connect web application proxy to Ad and ADFS.

    Hi,
In addition, please make sure that the port 443 is not blocked by the firewall.
Web Application Proxy requires internal name resolution to resolve the names of backend servers, and AD FS servers. When publishing web applications via Web Application Proxy, every web application you publish requires an external URL. For clients to reach
these web applications, a public DNS server must be able to resolve each external URL that you configure. Note that the external URL must resolve to the same IP address as the Web Application Proxy server, or the external IP address of a firewall or load-balancer
placed in front of the Web Application Proxy server.
    Best regards,
    Susie

my macbook pro is connected to internet via my time capsule but my iPad and iPhone won't. it shows wifi connection to the time capsule but when i go on to the internet on the iPad or iPhone, it comes up with network error. can anyone help?

This can be caused by a number of issues.
Was everything working and then suddenly stopped??
Or is this a new clean setup and has never worked.
Do you have a cable modem which is not a router and the TC setup in bridge? That will cause it. The TC must be in router mode, ie dhcp and nat.
Check the IP the MBP gets including dns and gateway..
Then check the ipad/iphone.. post what IP dns and gateway (router in applespeak) they get.

  • TS5376 I have a laptop that i am running with Windows Vista. A while ago, it stopped running iTunes and comes up with the error : Runtime Error: R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.

I have an iMac as my home computer, upgraded to this about a year ago from a windows pc and love it.
    However...
I have a HP Compaq laptop that i am running with Windows Vista, which I use when travelling. A while ago, I believe on an update, to either windows or itunes, it stopped running iTunes and comes up with the error : Runtime Error: R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
I have a reasonable amount of tunes stored on my laptop, and am unable to ascertain as to whether this fix for allowing itunes to work again will delete my music folder and lose all the tunes i have on my laptop already?
The contents of my music folders on my laptop and iMac are not the same, as they are not synced!
Any help please on this would be appreciated!

  • Error running SendMail when launch application from JNI

    Hello,
I am getting the following exception when I try to send email using JavaMail. This error began happening when we upgraded to Java 1.6. It does not happen with earlier versions of Java.
    javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed;
    nested exception is:
         javax.mail.MessagingException: IOException while sending message;
    nested exception is:
javax.activation.UnsupportedDataTypeException: no object DCH for MIME type multipart/mixed; boundary="----=_Part_0_2882193.1230049431911"
I have browsed through the forums and read the many postings with a similar error. I have tried the variety of suggestions, but nothing seems to work. My understanding is the JAF is included in Java 1.6, so we should not need the activation.jar in our classpath anymore. Even so I have tried with and without the activation.jar in the classpath. I do not think it is a class loader issue because we do not build any of this into our application. It is all referenced in jar files on the classpath.
The interesting thing is that I can launch the application with a normal JVM launch and it works just fine. The error only occurs when I launch the application from a C++ application using JNI. In both cases I am using the exact same classpath. The error occurs whether I include activation.jar in the classpath or not.
I have tried to programmatically add the MIME types using the MailCommandMap class, but this had no effect.
The most recent test I ran was to put the activation.jar and mail.jar files in my C:\Java\jre6\lib\endorsed directory. This actually cleared up the error. This is not a viable solution for us, but it leads me to believe the .mailcap file is not being loaded correctly for some reason. I just cannot figure out what the issue could be as it seems to be associated with JNI.
    Thank you for any help,
    Mary Kathryn

Because JAF is now part of the JDK, the JAF classes are loaded by the system class loader
instead of the application class loader. If the thread's context class loader is not set, JAF
uses its class loader to load the mailcap files. Since JavaMail's mailcap file is in mail.jar,
and mail.jar is still loaded by the application class loader, the system class loader can't
    find JavaMail's mailcap file.
Normally, when starting the application using the "java" command, the thread's context
class loader will be set to the application's class loader. This may not be happening
automatically when starting the application with JNI.

  • Compilation error in creating shared library via JNI

    Hi ALL,
I amin serious trouble with a problem. I am developing a Simulator, a function of which is to decode MPEG-2 Video files in real time and play it as well.I have got a MPEG-2 Decoder implemented in C from an open source and need to integrate with my Simulator which is writtebn in Java. The integration part I am doing via JNI(Java Native Interface). Now I have a bunch of C files in MPEG-2 decoder which are to be compiled during the Execution of the Java Simulator. Can anybody give some idea about how to call multiple C files from the Java Source through JNI at one go? Another problem I am facing is in calling a single C code from the traditional "HelloWorld" Java Code itself. The problem comes when I am trying to compile the shared library between the C native code and Java Code in my Linux Machine...I am getting the following message:
    /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/.../../../crt1.0 : In function '_start' :
    /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/.../../../crt1.0(.text+0x18): undefined reference to 'main'
collect2: ld retrurned 1 exit status
What does the above errot mean? How to rectify it.It will be of great help if you anybody can give me clues.

It means that your compiler options are wrong.
You need to create a shared library.
Instead you are creating an executable, which is not the same as a shared library.
If you search this forum you will find posts with command line options that work.

I recently purchased a MacBook Air and was told by Apple that Keynote and Pages were compatible with MS Applications.. I have since tried to open a Powerpoint Presentation but it comes up with an error message and is not right. Help!

If there are fonts, transitions, builds, video or audio in the PowerPoint file that are not compatible with Keynote, it will either prevent the presentation opening or Keynote will substitute the settings causing playback changes.
I use Open Office to play and open any PowerPoint files sent to me, they play exactly as in PowerPoint.
