Remote Login Not Saved

Dreamweaver no longer saves the login information for my
remote server. I enter my login and password, select the Save
checkbox, but every time I close, then reopen Dreamweaver, the
login information disappears—it is not saved!
This did not always happen, but I don't know what would cause
this behavior. Any ideas?

Install the Dreamweaver 8.0.2 updater from the Adobe Site.
Its probably
because you installed IE 7. Installing the Update fixes the
issue

I am using DW8. I enter the remote server username and
password. The program automatically checks the save box. I click
    ok.
However, when I close DW and then open it again the server
    username and password is blank.
This does not happen with all of my webs. What's up?

  • Login not saved

    Hello Experts,
I know this is not a finance question, but i didn't know what forum i need to post it to, thought of posting it in BASIS, but then i thought all of them might know it. Well i guess in SAP, generally if you hit Backspace, you can get the last used info , but i don't get it either in my logon screen or anywhere after i log on to SAP. Could anyone think of any reason as to why it's not showing ?
    Thanks,
    Nandita

    Hi,
You make settings for displaying history by clicking on the last icon (after help icon) and clicl on Options and select the tab - Local data.
Radio button On should be selected for display of history. You can also enter expiry time / maximum file size and permitted number of entries in history.
This should help. In case even after this settings, if it is not working, then go to Control Panel of your system > navigate to SAP Configuration > click on Applications Tab > click on Add.
A pop up window will display > select the wrdtrace file.
    Thanks
    Murali.

  • Can't save remote login information

Until the last week, I had my remote login information saved
in site management for the ftp server of my website. Now, I enter
the information, use it to connect and work on my site. Then I
close DW. When I restart DW to work on the site again, the remote
login information is gone and I have to reenter it. I can work
until I close the program, then it disappears again.
    The save box is checked.
I recently installed Process Guard, but I haven't changed any
other security features recently other than updates to Zone Alarm
    Free and AVG Free.
It's not a fatal flaw, but it's VERY annoying.
    Any help is appreciated

  • FTP login & password not saved

Under "manage sites" /remote, the box is checked to "save" my
site FTP login and password, but after I shut down Dreamweaver 8
and later come back to edit & put a page, I get a login error.
Turns out the login and password are not saved. When I re-enter
these two fields, I can put the page up on the site. I never had
this problem in my last version (Dreamweaver 3). Please help!! I'm
on the very disappointing Windows Vista OS. This problem happens
with multiple sites on multiple host servers, so it's not a single
    site problem.

    Download the 8.0.2 upgrade

  • Can't download files -even the support center's remote login appl won't download;  web sites like USA Today will not open; etc.

This all started by certain sites not opening, like USA Today; Intellicast.com.  Installed Maverics yesterday successfully and the web sites very briefly worked and then starting failing again.  Called tech support and couldn't download their remote login code.  From Safari's viewpoint thought there might be a problem with Adobe Flash.  So deleted that and then tried to download the installer code from Adobe and that wouldn't download.  Suggestions would be appreciated.

Firefox can find plugins in several locations, but Firefox 21 changed the location of the "shared" plugin folder so older installers like the Microsoft Windows Media Plugin no longer drop the DLL file in the correct location.
There apparently are two ways to address this:
    (1) Change a Firefox preference so that Firefox checks the old location. Here's how:
    (i) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(ii) In the filter box, type or paste '''plugins''' and pause while the list is filtered
(iii) Double-click '''plugins.load_appdir_plugins''' to switch its value from false to true.
This will take effect after you restart Firefox.
    (2) Copy the plugins folder to the new location. Here's how on Win 7 64-bit:
Open a Windows Explorer window to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
Right-click and copy the '''Plugins''' folder
Double-click the '''browser''' folder to open it
    Right-click and paste
Right-click the new copy of '''Plugins''' and rename it to '''plugins'''
After restarting Firefox, the plugins in that folder should now be available.
''Edit: I suggest just doing #1.''

  • FTP login and password are not saved on some sites

On some of my sites the FTP login and password are not saved
(even though the "saved" box is checked). Dreamweaver 8.0 on XP
SP2. I can export the site information and then import the same
file exported and there still will be no login or password placed
in the login or password window. I opened the exported .ste files
in notepad and found the login correct and the password incorrect.
I uninstalled Dreamveaver and reinstalled still same
    problem.

Ok, I just spent about 3 hours on this. Here's the latest
that I've found. I had looked at the knowledgebase and my registry
matched what was suggested. As this has been an ongoing issue for
me, I thought it was still an issue. Apparently 8.02 did have some
    improvements.
I can only guess that many of the 36 sites I have in the Site
Manager lost info before the .02 update.. or I hope so.
I did however discover that there is still what could be
considered a minor bug. I went in to Manage Sites and selected edit
for all of my sites, fixing the ones that had lost their user/pass
info. I'm not positive, but I think only the last edited site kept
    it's data.
I discovered after many checks on all the sites, over and
over and over, that it appears that they are now holding the data,
but, if I add the user/pass, I must not only click the OK button to
close that particular site, but I must also click the 'Done' button
before only that one will be saved.
So, I thought I was fixing logins when in fact I was only
fixing one at a time.. Completely closing 'Manage Site' seemed to
hold one new set of login data each time. Seems that it shouldn't
    be this way.
But I must say, I am rejoicing at the moment, as I actually
have all my sites set up with FTP info and I am now looking forward
to hopefully adding more and maybe they'll actually be available
    for the next editing session.

  • The connection was denied because the user account is not authorized for remote login

Using Terminal Server 2008 not able to get non administrator users to login to the remote desktop. Have tried from Windows server 2008 and from Windows servers 2003. Get error login in "The connection was denied because the user account is not authorized for remote login" from Windows Server 2008. Error "The requested session access is denied" from Windows Server 2000.

Is that seriously the only way to do this? Doesn't this render the "Allow log on through Terminal Services" GP Setting useless?
I would like to know this answer, as well.  I have created a new AD group for my assistant admins called "Domain Admins (limited)".  I have added this group to the GP setting "Allow log on through Terminal Services", but the
assistant admins cannot log in through RDP.  It 'feels like' this is all I would need to do.
    Craig
    Found some good info
here. There are really two things required for a user to connect to a server via RDP. You can configure one of them via Group Policy but not the other.
    1) Allow log on through Terminal Services can be configured through Group Policy, no problem.
    2) Permissions on the RDP-listener must also be granted.  If your user is a member of the local Administrators group or the local Remote Desktop Users group then this is handled.  If you are trying to utilize a new, custom group (as I am),
then there isn't a way to do this via group policy (that I have found).
EDIT: Found the answer.  I am creating a blog post to outline the steps.  They aren't hard, but they're not self-explanatory.  It deals with the Restricted Groups mentioned above, but it's still automate-able using Group Policy so that you
don't have to touch each computer.  I think the above poster (Andrey Ganev) got it right, but
I had trouble deciphering his instructions.
Here is my blog post that walks through this entire process, step-by-step.

  • Osascript for remote login does not work with Leopard

We are testing Leopard on one computer in our labs. The only problem so far is that the osascript that we use to remote login to the computers stopped working (although it works fine on the Tiger machines):
    osascript <<EndOfMyScript
    tell application "System Events"
    keystroke "public"

    keystroke return
    keystroke tab

    keystroke return
    keystroke return
    end tell
    EndOfMyScript
This is a public account with no user password. I've read the discussion below, but have not been able to tweak the command so that it works with Leopard. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

  • Keychain not updated for Remote Login

Since installing Lion on both machines: When I connect to my G5 Powermac from my MBAir, I use the Keychain to remember my password. This feature worked in previous OS Versions by selecting  the 'Remember' Option in the dialogue (meaning you would only see the following dialogue when your password changed on the destionation machine).
With Lion, the Password onthe Keychain is not updated when the flag is set. As a result, when I select the destination machine from the Finder, I always have to wait for 'Not Connected' message (while the process tries to log in with my old password). Then, I have to 'Connect As. ..." and enter my current password (every rassafrassin' time).
Can someone please patch this thing.
    Thanks,
    g

I'm having some trouble with an RD server Win 2008 on a domain. I have a group called domain\authorizedpeople that I would like to enable remote access for. I added this group to the gpo: Computer Configuration\Policies\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment\Allow log on through Terminal Services. I also added this group to server manager > configure remote desktop on the server itself, and I added this group to the remote desktop users' group on the server for good measure.
When I try to log on using an account in that group, I get "The connection was denied because the user account is not authorized for remote login". However when I go to server manager > configure remote desktop and add that specific user, it works fine.
Is there a reasonable explanation for this? I really don't want to have to add...

Your post isn't quite clear.  If you mean you logged out of your icloud account and logged into someone else's account, then log out of theirs and back into yours.
Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account.  Then log in using a different ID.
If this is not what you mean, please describe you issue in more detail.

  • Remote Login Definition

We're using Dreamweaver 8 with WnXP Pro systems, all our work
is held on a local server rather than on the dev PCs.
I have been having a problem lately with the login username
and password not saving in the site definitions, and have been

I should add that, I have just changed over to a new PC, and

The old PC never had this problem, but our other developers PC has
