Remote rejected error with git

I'm trying to get a git public repository installed on server and can't seem to push an update.
I have my server local user with ssh access and file transfers seem to go fine. I have git 1.6.0.4 installed on both development iMac PPC (10.5.5) and server Intel (10.5.5). I included git-shell path in /etc/shells and /etc/shells.personal.
The public repository was deposited on an external drive with scp and everything looks good. Permissions to the files are in place. Following git installation to /usr/local, I added /usr/local/libexec/git-core to the $PATH variable.
I even chmoded the hooks files for execution.
However, when I make a change on the development side and then commit, followed by a push to the server side I get
"Compressing 3 objects. Done
Writing 5 objects. Done
Output:
Counting objects: 9, done.
Total 5 (delta 3), reused 3 (delta 2)
fatal: exec unpack-objects failed.
error: unpack failed: unpacker exited with error code
To server:/Volumes/dir.git
! [remote rejected] master -> master (n/a (unpacker error))
error: failed to push some refs to 'server:/Volumes/dir.git'"
All my google efforts produced linux type solutions. I did add a report back hook for update but I don't see any response.
Console secure log indicates the ssh publickey is accepted and file transfer seems to go through.
My guess is that git-unpack-objects is not called.
I tried git gc and git fsck to cleanup any residual files and received no errors.
On initial transfer of the public repository and subsequent push I received an "Everything is up to date". It's the push following a new commit that hangs.
Any advice from someone running git on server?
TIA,
Harry

I went back to a package install of git-1.5.4.5 on my ppc iMac and git-1.6.0.4 on Leopard server. Still not much luck.
After re-examining permissions and setting paths, I finally got a push to work using Paul Johnston's approach at
http://marc.info/?l=git&m=122101378608279&w=2
# Fix it with symlinks in /usr/bin
server:~ $ cd /usr/bin/
server:/usr/bin $ sudo ln -s /usr/local/git/bin/git* .
I don't understand why I need the symlink is needed unless the ssh connection doesn't allow execution from a path location other than /usr/bin or /usr/sbin.
Once the symlink was installed for each of the git directory components then the push executed fine. I did use the +master:master to get a non fast-forward.
Not sure if that is still required but the connection worked.
Hope this helps someone in addition to me.
Harry

    Hi!

    Hi Henado
Check the time on your Exchange server(s) relative to the DCs and ensure they are in correct sync
Use another account which is assigned the Organization Management permission and log to to the server run the command in shell and see the results
    Run
    Add-PSSnapin -Name Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010
Set-Adserversettings -ViewEntireForest $True and then run message tracking command and see the results
If none of the above helps you may need to remove and re-install the WinRM and see the results
    Good Luck :)

For RADIUS you need a aaa-server-definition:
    aaa-server NPS-RADIUS protocol radius
    aaa-server NPS-RADIUS (inside) host 10.10.18.12
      key *****
      authentication-port 1812
      accounting-port 1813
and tell your tunnel-group to ask that server:
    tunnel-group VPN general-attributes
      authentication-server-group NPS-RADIUS LOCAL
Don't stop after you've improved your network! Improve the world by lending money to the working poor:

  • Deployment Manager Error with Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.1

I have installed Identity Manager 9.1.0.2 (patch upgraded from 9.1.0.1) on OEL 5.3 64bit and Weblogic 10.3.1
    Database:Oracle 11gR2 (remote machine).
**I am aware that IM 9.1.0.2 is not certified on Weblogic 10.3.1 (it is only certified on 10.3),
The installation was successful and OIManager is up and running. Able to create Users, Resources etc. as well.
As part of configuring OIM Connectors tried to Import .xml file using Import option from Deployment Management section as below and the following error was displayed.
"Either your session timed out or you are trying to access a page without logging in".
Did all workarounds like enabling java, changing browsers, restarting machine etc as per the below discussion but in vain.
Deployment Manager Error with Oracle Weblogic Server
Can any one suggest any workaround or solution for this problem.
Or atleast can any one confirm there is no Identity manager available on this date which is compatible with 10.3.1? and cannot be continued further.
    Thanks in Advance
    Sudheer

You are facing this issue because you're using a non certified combination.
Other folks who tried to use OIM in 10.3.1 ended up in the same problem you're facing.

I guess the weblogic.jar is not included in the studio.
    So, i added weblogic.jar (Weblogic 10.3) and wlclient.jar (Weblogic 10.3)
It is working in my simple java code. But, still not working in BPM Studio.
    The error logs:

  • Listener error with dg4odbc and mysql

    Hi all,
First of all, sorry for my English, I'm learning :-)
I'm trying to create a dblink from oracle to mysql, but for now this seems impossible. I have read lots of manuals and post, but no way. I can connect to remote mysql server with "isql my_portal", so, unixodbc and the mysql driver for odbc are working in the server.
The oracle database 10.2 is installed in a Red Hat 64 bits server. Due to hsodbc for 10.2 is only for 32bit i installed the gateway version for 11g without problems (no errors showed, so...) But I have always the same error: "TNS-12541: TNS:no listener dg4odbc" But my configuration seems correct. Can anyone find the error in my config? Thank you
This is the documentation that I have used:
    https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&id=561033.1

Thank you for the response. The problem was the solved when change the 1.2.0.40 to 42 :-)
Another issue I saw is your ORACLE_HOME - did you install DG4ODBC in your 10.2 OH?Yes, the documentation said that is certified to work with Oracle 10.2.0.4 that is our version, is this a problem? (¿...?) I had no problem to install dg4odbc with the universal installer.
But I have another problems now. I can't remember the exact error, but my first problem was solved adding this line to initmy_portal.ora:
    HS_FDS_QUOTE_IDENTIFIER="'"
Now, when I try to make a select oracle returns this:
ORA-00942: la tabla o vista no existe
    [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.1.41-3ubuntu12.10]Table 'portal_clientes.CLIENTES' doesn't exist {42S02,NativeErr = 1146}[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.1.41-3ubuntu12.10]Table 'portal_clientes.CLIENTES' doesn't exist {42S02,NativeErr = 1146}
    ORA-02063: 2 lines precediendo a MY_PORTAL_DBLINK
The table exists, I'm sure, and if I change the query to other tables the result is the same: the table doesn't exist. Any idea?
    Thank you for the help

  • "out of memeory" error with Adobe Reader x & IE8

    Hello,
Getting an "out of memory" error with Adobe Reader X & IE8. This is a locked down bank environment so upgrading to a higher version of Adobe is out of the question.
I looked around on the web and noticed that many people are experiencing this "out of memory error" but no fix has been provided.
    Can you help?

Thanks for the reply and suggestion - unfortunately, I get this error when I open Adobe Reader X itself in addition to launching a pdf within IE9 (my OS is Win7x64 Ultimate).  I can launch Adobe Reader X, but when I open any kind of PDF file (local copy, remote, web, etc...) the error dialog box pops up.  Everything seems functional with Reader, it's just a frustrating (er, irritating!) thing!  I think after the weekend I will 'give up' and remove the Reader X and go back to my 'old' (but functioning!) Reader - thanks for the comment and suggestion tho!

  • Remote Mail Error

    Hi there,
We are getting error messages in SOST and some of the emails are not going out. The error messages is "Cannot process message, no route from USERNAME to SID:500:USERNAME". This client on that SID is used for CUA purposes and the connection is present in SM59 and there is no authorization and connection problem as I tested it there.
Dont know how to resolve this issue. Any hints. The communication method is set to remote mail in SU01 and in SCOT I can see the errors under RML.
Any ideas how to resolve it.
    Thanks

Thanks everybody for the responses. I think I have to explain it more in detail here. In SRM we are using procurement. All the emails go out find to all suppliers. On one day we noticed failures just for one person and it gets repeated whenever the SMTP job runs. That user is set to RML in SU01 that is remote mail. The error messages in SOST is that same as I stated in my problem for the first time. I deleted all of them and its still keeps on throwing the cannot send email message whenever the SMTP job runs. The strange thing is that whenever I delete the message the same number of message appears with the status of waiting. I left it there for a day and then deleted all of them and then it vanished. I dont know how this thing works but the problem is resolved. All the settings/configuration mentioned by you guys are done correctly and I verified it.
At this point I like to understand how remote mail is different from email in SU01. Why the same number of messages keep on coming up as soon as I deleted the failed message in SOST.
Thanks again everybody for all your help.

    1. Can you please check wheather SAPCOnnect ( TCode SICF) is activated for your system.
    2. Check Code page in SCOT and the name of the mail host.
    3. Go to TCode SCOT, Check "Internet" in "Supported address type" click on "Set" and in the "Address Area" put "*"
    4. Please also check whether the connection between your SAP server and the mail host( SMTP host) working.
    5. Check whether SAPConnect job has been scheduled
If you are still gettting problem please paste Log from SOST.

  • Managing/backing up with git

Would I be able to setup my site as a remote repository with git as a way to backup/update the templates and scripts and is there a way I can hide the actual .git file from public view?
I know there's no way to really run a local version of a site except with webbasics because I can't backup the database but I could at least do everything else.

You can do that Kenneth. Simply create a repository locally by initiating it and then push your changes to some remote repo on github or some other service. Try bitbucket.com. it's free and you can have private repos.

  • Remote Communication Error(Trex).

    Dear Friends,
We have configuresd Trex for Full Text Search in DMS. But the Issue is we are not able to Index Documents. When I check the connections under "Trex_admin--->TREX ABAP Customizing" by giving Host Name or IP Address and Trex Index Server Port both "Test Connection" and " Net Performance" are showing OK.
But under Analyze Application Log by using Object as "TREX" & Subobject as " None" system is throwing an error as "Remote communication failure with partner &PARTNER&"
I have searched in SDN and acted according to that. But unable to resolve this issue.
Could u please assist me in this regard.
    with regards,

    Hi Dayanda,
I also have the same issue can you share the solution?

  • Remote front panel with labview 8.6 executable

I am trying to create a remote front panel of my application, built in an executable using Labview 8.6. I want to run that application on a target machine (not the one used for developing the project) and view and control the front panel of the VI from a web browser on another computer.
    I have followed these steps:
How can I use remote front panels with Labview Executables?
But when I finally open the web browser and navigate to the URL I obtain that the page cannot be found.
I have my Labview project created and I have built a web page using Web publishing tool. I have saved it in my Labview 8.6/www directory and added it to the project. I have built my executable including HTML file and copied all the obtained folders to the target PC.
Then, I have modified the .ini file like in the step 7, but when I arrive to the step 8 I don't know what to do. Which  niwebserver.conf should I modify? The one localized at Labview 8.6 directory of the target machine? Or the one that is created in the directory where I have copied the executable when I run the executable?
In the DocumentRoot tag  I have to replace the default Labview/www with the location of my HTML file. Should I use quotation marks or no?
Have you got any ideas of what is happening?
    Thanks!

Ok, but when I create the executable, in the folder where the application.exe and .ini are there isn't a file called niwebserver.conf. When I run the application a file with this name appear in the directory (the one I include), but it hasn't the section Directives that apply to the default server as in the manual.
What I have done is to copy the niwebserver.conf file ubicated in the Labview 8.6 of the target machine in the same directory of the executable but it doesn´t work...
    niwebserver.conf
    ServerRoot "."
