Remoting Connector Missing

Does anyone have a clue as to what happened to the Flash
Remoting Connector
in Flash CS3 Professional? Flash Remoting isn't even
discussed in the help
files.

The documentation has helped me see hot to receive data with
the a scripted remoting connector, but I don't see how to script a
remoting connector that receives the RDMBSResolver's updatePacket,
to then send that back to the database.

I have attached the actionscript for the data connection. The
odd thing about this issue is some of the data is being displayed
from the webservice call and then some is not. The drop down list
is not being populated but I am getting some text in a textarea
that is on the form. My datasource is a SQL Server database and in
ColdFusion administrator, I used the actual machine name to point
to the datasource because it is directly linked to my web server.
This configuration is the one giving me problems. If I change the
datasource to my test SQL Server (server.somewhere.com) it works
fine. Does this help any?

Remote App missing some keys

I am using the remote app and I have to enter my iTunes password to purchase a movie, the problem is that some of the keys are missing on my remote app, this is on my iphone and my iPad. I am missing the Parenthasis keys. Both open and close. They are present on all other iphone remote functions, such as searching for movies, both in the iTunes Store and Netflix, but they aremissing on the remote app when trying to enter the iTunes password when ordering a movie. I also notice that when using the keyboard function and pressing the (123) button on the bottom left, the middle and lbottom rows do not change characters. See the two screen print that are attached.

Now when I try to push the symbols button on the left side, the second row stays the same.

It will go back to the alphabet keyboard. It strange that it happens on both iPhone4 v4.3.3 and iPad v 4.3.4, although the iPad is slightly different in the way the screen reads. Once again, it seems to work fine on other text entry screens, I only have this problem when trying to enter the password to purchase a movie. Maybe you can try to duplicate and see if you have the same thing when you go to enter the password. I don't know if a lot of people use special characters like I do for my password. See if the bottom 2 rows change when you push the #+= button. You don't need to complete the purchase or even enter anything, just check and see if it changes.

Windows 8.1 Update - Remote Desktop missing from Remote Tab

I recently purchased a new Lenovo G780 with Windows 8. I updated to Windows 8.1 this past weekend.
I was surprised to find the "Remote Desktop" section (on Remote tab in System Properties) was missing. I can see "Remote Access Assistance" but not "Remote Desktop". Note that I can run Remote Desktop to connect to another computer, but w/out this setting I am UNABLE to accept incoming remote desktop requests.
I did find a link related to my very same issue, though for an earlier windows version.

I have same symptom, just newer OS I can only surmise that my Windows 8.1 update messed something up. It may be possible this was the situation before I updated to Windows 8.1, as I don't think I messed with that setting.
Does anyone know of a fix? Apparently re-inputting the Product Key (and reactivating Windows) might help solve but I don't have a Product Key for Windows 8...will Lenovo supply that?

I think you answered your own question again. The upgrade from Win 8 basic will only go to 8.1 basic. The key you have will only work on the Win. 8 basic and the upgrade to 8.1 will still only give you 8.1 basic, with that key.
In order to get Win 8.1 Pro features, you will have to buy a Win 8.1 Pro key.

Remote systems missing--follow up to other post

Now I have some time and I'm installing 2010 and the drivers which install MAX 4.7. This is a follow up to this post here. I am still missing remote systems in the tree. I was going through the steps to fix a corrupted max database and one of the steps is to make a copy of the data directory. Well...When I navigate to the location, the data directory isn't even there. I'm thinking this could be my problem. I'm downloading some drivers to reinstall MAX and see what happens. I don't think it's the drivers DVD because other people at my office have used the same DVDs with no problem. I am going ot contact support tomorrow, but in the mean time any suggestions on the missing data directory?

In case anyone has this issue now or down the road here is how I resolved it thanks to App Engineers at NI. Check if there is a mxRmCfg.dll in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX. If it is there and you are missing remote systems this is probably your issue. It means MAX is trying to run the dll from this directory which it should not be doing (at least as far as I understand it). Deleting (or just renaming may be safer) the .dll should solve the problem.

Activating Remote the missing tab iniTunes

Os10.10.1, iTunes 12.0.1, iPad 8.1.2
My iPad was connected to the mains supply and the Devices icon said two items, my iPhone and the iPad present. I searched in vain for the tab to allow entry of the four digit code to enable the Remote app to work.
Then without any prompting the Devices icon announced three items connected. Openig this I had iPhone, iPad and Remote clicking on the latter brought up the box to enter the four digit code and all was well.

In our case, this problem was due to mismatch between product key and server version. (problem description: "Remote Desktop" is missing from the Remote Tab in Computer Properties)
I had upgraded 2 servers with Windows 2008 R2 from Standard to Enterprise edition, and after a few weeks I could not RDP to these servers anymore.
The problem was solved be re-entering a correct product key for Windows, and re-activating Windows (+reboot).
Here's how to do it:
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (to change the product key; replace XXX by your product key)
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /ATO (to re-activate Windows online)

Remote Assistance missing buttons

Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question. I couldn't find anything related specifically to Remote Assitance. I'm running into a strange issue where the Remote Assistance window is missing buttons. For example, when
launching Remote Assistance with the /offerra switch, the Next and Cancel buttons are just simply gone:
The server I'm launching this on is running Windows Server 2008 R2 with Citrix XenApp 6.5 installed. This issue happens to the published app in Citrix as well as launching it on the server via RDP and via the Console. This was not an issue
until I installed Windows Updates back on 11/9. I removed all of the updates that were installed that day and it still results in the same. I uninstalled/reinstalled the Remote Assistance feature and that has done nothing. I've also tried
multiple accounts and using an account with a brand new profile - in case it was just a strange profile issue.
Any ideas??

I just had the same issue but only on one server using local profiles... I created a local admin account and it worked under that account. Deleting and recreating my profile on the offending server has resolved the issue, although it was a headache
getting a new profile:
- deleted profile using local admin account (got an error about priviledges held by client)
- manually deleted C:\users folder and profile SID key (and .bak key) from 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList'
- after that logging on gave error 'Profile Service failed' then logged off
- manually created C:\users folder and the SID key again under above location, then I logged on successfully with a new profile and the buttons appear again in RA
There seem to be many people with this problem and several possible resolutions. See
http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=263507&tstart=0&start=60 for some other options. One says to copy the msra.exe from a Win7 machine, maybe that will work?

GuidedProcedure Connector missing

Hi All,
I am able to create a process in GP successfully. Now I am trying to integrate GP with uwl. I am following a document which explains about the configuration steps for GP with Uwl. In the document it mentions about creating a system with Guided procedures connector in UWL Administration. But the Guided procedures connector is missing in th list of connectors. Any pointers to get the guided procedure in connectors list. I am having EP 7.0 Sp4.

I had the problem of Outlook appointments showing an hour earlier than they were on the calendar server. I just fouind that by checking the automatically adjust for daylight savings time box this problem was corrected. Go to Start - Control Panel - Date and Time - Time Zone tab - check box = Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes.
I just thought I was going nuts...

IPod Touch G2, Apple TV - Remote application missing artwork

I have a Touch G2 and an Apple TV. Both have the most current firmware. The remote app works well except most album artwork does not show up in the currently playing window. If I skip back and forth through songs the artwork may eventually show up, but not always. The artwork shows up fine on the TV if it is on.
Anyone know how to fix this?

If the light is flashing amber when you try to use the remote, you may have accidentally unpaired it when it was previously paired or paired another remote with the unit. You can reset the pairing (unpair) by pressing the rewind and menu button together for 6 seconds.

Outlook Connector Missing/Wrong Time Appts

I'm trying really hard to make Outlook Connector work for our organization with no success. Here are my issues ... hopefully someone else has come across them and found solutions:
1) Some appointments aren't imported into Outlook.
2) Those that are appear an hour earlier than the ones in Oracle.
3) I'm not notified when a new appointment comes in (no ability to accept, reject, or make tentative.

Remote Management missing

I am trying to turn on my screen sharing but when I go to the system preferences "Sharing" tab, and click on the "Screen Sharing" and the message "Screen Sharing is currently being controlled by the Remote Management service". I naturally go to the remote management tab, but it is not there. Any help?

Windows7 x64 Enterprise - SP1 disables Remote Desktop - missing RDP functionality

Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1
Installing SP1 (update KB976932) disables Remote Desktop functionality (System Properties/Remote tab will not show the "Remote Desktop" Section under the "Remote Assistance" section). The issue is known to MS.
Manually changing the registry keys
[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server]
"AllowRemoteRPC"=dword:00000001
"fDenyTSConnections"=dword:00000000
will not help.
Removing SP1 (update KB976932) brings things back to work.
Does anyone know a way to keep using RDP with Windows7 Enterprise x64 after installing SP1? Is it a strategy from MS to prevent people to use it correctly? According to my experiments this happens only on the Enterprise edition.

However i have windows 7 enterprise 64 bit running on my laptop and i am fine. (and everyone else in my organization). Is it possible that your download for sp1 was corrupted/incomplete and as a result you are seeing issues now with it.
I would find it very strange, because I had the same behavior on 3 machines that are absolutely independent from each other, and download updates separately. Furthermore, when I investigated the problem, I even found somewhere an official document from MS,
saying that on this version RDP will be disabled by SP1, but maybe I am just not remembering it correctly. Are you sure that your systems are "Enterprise" and not "Professional"? On the Pro version everything is running fine.
I would try following:
Uninstall sp1
Stop windows update service
delete "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" folder
Start windows update service
Run windows updates to scan for new updates (wuauclt /detectnow)
Install SP1
This is an interesting try. On one of these three machines I actually don't need RDP, so next weekend I will perform your suggestion, then I'll let you know what happens.

What to do when my new iphone 5 came damaged, is missing pieces, and apple won't help me?!

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Apple. I preordered my iPhone 5 as soon as it was available, but did not receive it in the mail until yesterday. I excitedly met the UPS man and ran inside to open my new phone. Upon opening the package, I found that my iPhone is damaged (with dings on the front/side - and it is a white/silver iPhone, not black), the SIM card is missing, AND the earbud/mic/remote is missing!! I spent who knows how long on the phone with Apple customer service, only for them to tell me that my best option is to go to an Apple store and they'll switch it out for me. I was told that they will hold an iPhone identical to mine so that it is ready to go when I get there. I called both of the Apple stores "near" me (both an hour away) and neither would hold a phone for me - so I called later in the day when I was actually able to make it to a store, and they were out of stock. I was told that I should make an appointment with a Genius - but then I would have to come back later to get a phone. Like I said, this is not a short drive for me. I was then told that I could go online after 10 p.m. and reserve a phone, without paying, and pick it up in the store. It seems that is not the case. I have to either open a new account or see if my AT&T account is eligible for an upgrade - which it isn't, because I used that when I originally ordered the phone. So now I'm stuck with a damaged phone with missing pieces that I can't use, and I can't seem to get anybody to easily help me get a new one. I'm about to just call and ask for a full refund and go buy the Galaxy S3 that my parents love so much. They asked me what was so great about the iPhone 5... and I really don't know what to say.
Now what do I do? I'm tired of dealing with people over the phone who won't help me. And the Apple Retail stores aren't being very helpful themselves. Ugh!!!
