Remove costing relevancy flag from BOM's with CS20

Dear all,
This flag can be maintained with alternative values (1,2,or 3) but cannot set to blank via bom mass change (CS20). We want to change it from "X" to "" (blank) for one material present in many BOM's. Is there any special deletion caracter in order to be able to update this field via CS20 (we tried "!", "\", "/")

Yes, it is the case
in img - okk9
Try to copy from Blank line in img and make it as let us N
Then in OKK7 for all the valuation variant make fixed and va price factor as 0,
it will work.

Help. Need to remove one of the listed QuickTimes from the "open with" menu

When I bring up the 'Open with' menu on an audio file I have QuickTime Player (7.3.1) and just below that I have QuickTime Player (7.2.1). I would like to remove the 7.2.1 listing from this menu. There is on one version on my computer (7.3.1). The last update must have placed the newer listing in this menu and left the older listing. Is there a way to remove the older listing from the open with menu?

Did you ever do an archival and install of your OS? If so, you have what is called previous system fold on your main hard drive. This is where you can find the player to the version. If not I guess what happen to you is strange...mmm... And I guess it could happen.

Costing relevancy in bill of materials

Hi Experts,
We have default settings to mark items in bill of materials as costing relevant, we have certain materials for which we do not want default costing relevancy as waht has been sent in default values. but for most of the materials default settings should be applicable.
is ther any settings where for certain materials default settings can be overwritten, do not cost in costing tab page did not worked, and default costing relevancy was taken for item.

Dear,
Pipeline materials are relevant for costing it pickup price from the Info-record. If you don't want to cost that item you need to remove its costing relevancy from bill of material. Or else define it as non valuated material and then assign it in BOM.
Bulk material are not cost relevant it will available in mass. For the standard cost estimate and the calculation of planned costs and actual costs for a work order, will not included in costing.
You can not make it material specific setting default for the BOM.
In OS18 you can define you own cost Relevancy and by BOM usage in OS20
Customizing under Production -> Basic Data -> Bill of Material -> General Data -> BOM Usage -> Define BOM Usages.

To remove subcontracting stock permenantely from the system?

I have an issue regarding that we have issued the items to subcontractor vendor xxxx.But now we raised credit note for that item .The stock is available in subcontractor location .Now i want to remove the stock permenentely from the system with out any reversal or without any reference document.Kinldy revert it back with flow .

Subcontracting stock is special stock at plant level it wont refer any documents even though if you refered PO while using 541.
But it will have FI implications because you are removing the stock at plant level.
You can run the report MBLB and check the Material stock and value.
You can create LSMW or BDC program with the help of ABABper to remove the stock by following the above steps.
I am not sure you can remove the stock just like that without any transactions in SAP.

Mass Deleting Materials from BOMs

Hi,
Our scenarios is that,
We have a KALP named material type which are raw materials for us..
And we decided to delete all these materials from BOMs.
Through CS20 t.code we can delete materials one by one from bill of materials.
But we have about 900 materials like that.
Is mass deleting possible instead of deleting one by one?

this can be done in CS20 en mass. CS20 is the mass transaction for bom changes.
enter your component number, select delete items and execute.
it will list all header materials boms that have this item.
click the button to select all and execute

Issue with update of BOM by Variant Config - Cost relevant indicator

Hi All VC Expert,
We are facing an issue with the update by reference characteristic of the field STPO-SANKA Cost relevancy indicator on the BOM.
We are on SAP ECC 6.0 release 700 on Oracle
Hot Package
- SAPKA70015 on ERP Cross Application componenent
- SAPKH60013 on SAP-APPL Logistics and accouting
We are using material variant
We are on the first level of configuration
Classically, we built a procedure to set X to this data base field as below :
$self.STPO_SANKA = 'X'
We assigned this procedure to the relevant items
Here is the result we have:
At the creation of the Plan Order, this is not working
At the creation of the Prod Order, this is not working
When we do a Reload PP master data, this is working very well
On CU50/VA02 when we check the trace, the procedure is executed.
Do somebody have an idea or already facing this and solve it ?

Cost From BOM, WorkCentre, Routing

Hai Techies,
Could you please help me with some inputs for my query related to capturing cost from BOM, Workcentre, routing. To capture the cost should it always require to have an production order?
My doubt is mainly with respect to new product where they are creating a new product and during the new product implementation. So for the new product there wont be any production orders(correct me if im wrong). In that case how to compute the cost of the product.
Is there any possibilities.

Hi,
In SAP you need to have either production order ( Discrete ) or planned order ( REM) in place to capture the cost.
cost are captured when you book confirmation in Co11n or MFBF.
From PP side you need to maintined OPL8 custmizing for planned and actual costing variant. These costing varaints are created in CO.
In BOM you need to mainating stock items and in staus / langauage text view maintin indicator , item relevent for costing.
In Routing operations you need to maintin contorl key which allows costing as well as in detailed operation view maintain indicator, costing allowed for operations.
Work center has cost center attched to it. It also has different costing formulas which helps you to claculate activity costs of individual operations to which work center is attached.

Remove data plan from family plan with basic phones?

Is there a way to remove a data plan from a family plan with just basic phones on it? We used to have a $20/month basic plan until we had to get a data plan for our son's iPhone. He no longer has the iPhone with Verizon and has removed his line from the plan because he has an Android with Sprint. We also were required to use the data plan because we at one point had one of those "Hotspot" devices as a temporary solution for at-home Internet until our DSL line could be fixed. As of now we no longer have the hotspot device or the iPhone, but we still have a data plan that is patently useless because all we have are basic phones. On the My Verizon Wireless website, it says that "your text and data are now bundled with your plan" or something to that effect. I don't want to be paying extra for a useless data plan that we don't need or want because we are not in the market for fancy smart phones or tablets any time soon.
Is there any way to unbundle or detach the data plan so that we no longer have one and just have the unlimited text and calling plan without data? Our daughter is fine with her EnV Touch from 2005 and us old folks are perfectly content with the basic flip phones. Is the EnV a data phone too, in which case we should get rid of the EnV Touch in favor of an even more "basic" basic phone? She's not much of a technology buff like her brother is and has even suggested getting rid of the "fancier" phone that she has for a basic flip phone. Are we stuck with the data plan unless we break everyone off from the family plan (it's just me, my husband, my daughter, and my sister for right now) and move everyone to pay-as-you-go or no-contract? Wouldn't that end up costing more in the long run? How can we get rid of this annoying and expensive data plan that nobody on our network even uses and is causing a headache of expense?

As I understand the plans now (and this could be wrong, they change so often I get confused!!) to have the "pay as you go" data, on the More Everything, you have 700 shared minutes. To bump up to unlimited minutes, there is an attached data plan of 500 MB, and the total cost for 4 basic phones, unlimited minutes and text, 500 MB data, is $100/mo ($20 for each basic phone line access, and $20 for the data). The 700 shared minutes and pay as you go data is $85.
You can change your plan at any time.

Costing relevancy of BOM

M a bit new in SAP.so this question may sound very basic.
My question is when we go to item data in BOM,there is a tab status/lng text.
In that tab there is costing relevancy indicator field.
If i need it to be x all the time and it should be default to all items,what settings need to be done.

After MRP run, trying to convert Planned order to Proc. order the costing relevancy in BOM "X" is not active. But when i am trying to create process order with manually(cor1) costing relevancy in BOM "X" is active. Can i know y this is happening??
Note: In Goods receipt TAB of procees order Goods recept non valuated check box is active.

please note sales order creation date is not relevant...when the system is reading the BOM is relevant to copy the BOM...just check the date of BOM explosition...
As I know it is just because of master data.
In routing...is it relavent to costing or not?

Costing relevancy in BOM and CK11n

In BOM for an item i have maintained Costing relevancy as 1 (50% relevancy) which is a procurement item, but even after running Ck11n for the matrl iam getting 100% cost for the child item.
Is there any other setting to be maintained.

Hi,
The reason SAP has provided that is during the computation of the inventory cost estimate & not for the standard cost estimate the field is considered.
For standard cost estimate it is either / or situation, i.e. it is relevant for costing or not relevant, there is no % relevance for this.
This is in place due to financial & reporting requirements where some parts might require a devaluation. So i would strongly suggest to discuss with your Costing consultant for this.
However for this case, if you can let us know what is the reason you want to have this kind of partial costing done, the forum can provide some possible alternative if its a genuine business need.

Reason of making a new costing relevance indicator.
Our management wants to add 10% extra cost in that is calculated in Quotation. Also the 10% must only be applied on paperboard items of the BOM. The same BOM is used in Quotation and Sales orders. So i have defined a new indicator Y with 110%. I have changed all paperboard items in the BOM as Y. This solution works fine in the Quotations. But when i calculate cost in Sales order, the same 110% get applied on all paperboard cost which we dont want. In sales order we want 100% cost. Both sales order and quotations have diffrerent costing variants. Further please also explain that while i run CK11N, it calculates cost only based on indicator X which is ok. I want the same cost calculation in Sales orders. We are using condition EK02 to calculate cost in Quotation & Sales Orders.
