Remove filters from child movieClip

hi,
i am working with sprite in as3 and want to use the "glow filters" .The problem i'm facing is that i have used another sprite as it's child and the glow effect also appears on this child. Apart from glow filters the properties i'm using on parent and child are Blend properties, as i have to create a mask effect on parent child, BlendMode.Layer on parent sprite and BlendMode.Erase on child.
please can anyone suggest me a way how to remove the filter(glow effect) from a child with the same senario i have to work with.

    I have 2 questions for the same chart so I hope it's OK to add them in one post.
    Firstly I have created a chart & added three Select List filters which work fine, the query is below, problem is that when I change back to '-ALL-' I get no data, it has filtered out all records as no data matches the value of '-ALL-' does anyone know the code to get around this?
    My chart query;

  • How can we remove items from the VF04 list?

    We have a long list of items in VF04 that, for various reasons (some process related, some due to errors), are not to be billed. We have looked at applying filters to the list but there is nothing really suitable to hide these individual documents e.g. we could filter out some dates where none of the items on that date are to be billed but other dates have a mix of items we want to bill and others we don't.
    I have done a search of this forum but didn't find a previous topic with a quick and simple method to remove items from the list .
    Is there a method, other than billing them or sorting each issue individually, to permanently remove individual documents from the VF04 list?

    Download a list of Pending delivers doc form VF04.
    Paste the list in T.Code : VL09 (Delivery reversal) and reverse the delivery.
    Then go to T.Code: VL06G Select the list of deliveries that has been reversed, select/delete all un- wanted deliveries.
    This way you can remove all unwanted pending deliveries forn Billing due list (VF04).

  • Stop and Play All Child MovieClips in Flash with Actionscript 3.0

    I am stuck with the ActionScript here. I have a very complex animated flash movie for eLearning. These contain around 10 to 15 frames. In each frame I am having multiple movie clip symbols. The animation has been created using a blend of scripting and also normal flash animation.
    Now I want to create pause and play functionality for the entire movie. I was able to create the pause function but when i try to play the movie it behaves very strange.

    This movie is an animated movie from the start to end. I mean to say that though it stops at certain keyframes in the timeline it stops for only a certain time and then moves on to the next animation sequence.
    Its not an application where the user can interact.
    On clicking the play button i want the movie to play normally as it was playing before. If the user has not clicked on the pause button it would anyhow play from start to finish.
    Is there anyway where i could send in the fla file?

I registered to this forum for the sole purpose of getting help to this one issue of mine, as I found most issues were solved in here. By reading my problem (and hopefully responding) you're doing me a huge favour. Thanks in advance.
    I just started "coding" in AS3. By "coding", I actually mean trying around with features and generally trying to grasp the vast amount stuff you can do with this software of. I have some coding experience, however the way   Flash likes to hide code snippets all over my project does tend to confuse me. Not knowing where I tried putting the code and/or rewrote some other stuff keeps me sorta busy.
    I'd also like to apologize for the title, if it in any way confuses you. Shortening down my problem to a single sentence was hard, please keep that in mind.
    Anyway, my issue is this:
    Messing around with movieclips inside movieclips, I've keep encountering the error "1120: Access of undefined property onTimerComplete." I do realize that this error generally is caused by not having defined an instance correctly or not having it defined at all - an error beginners tend to make.
    Nonetheless, I'm not trying to refer to an instance/symbol, I am trying to call a function defined on the stage from within a movieclip that also is placed on the stage.
    I've been reading huge amounts of text/articles and how-to 's, but they all seem to only touch the subject lightly or simply going in head-first - becoming far too complicated for me (a beginner) to grasp.
    So, trying to sum my questions up into something that looks like a tl;dr:
    - What's up with levels, "_root" and referring to functions like in the older versions of flash?
    Flash tells me to use some display-package instead of _root, when I use that... (I do realize the article is from Flash 5.0)
    - How do you refer to a function defined on the stage, from inside a movieclip? (The function is a timer, that is supposed to make the mother-movieclip continue to the next child-movieclip.)
    Please, I really don't know how to define my problem any further than this. Ask as many questions as you would like, I really appreciate any help I can get.

    Trying to write a code using oracle.jms package to remove messages from Topic. I have a similar code with javax.jms package for removing messages from Queue and it is working well. Whereas i have written this new code for removing messages from topic using oracle.jms package as methods like CreateBrowser and CreateTopicReceiver for topic are provided in oracle package only and can't be used from javax.jms package.

    I am afraid this is impossible. You need to find another solution like a filtering queue. Your messages can be sent to a queue that is monitored by let say a MDB. This MDB will maintain a map of title and only forward once a given title/message to your topic.

  • DM 3.0.0.665: How to remove arc from relational model

    When creating an arc in the logical model, "engineering to relational" will update the relational model so "DDL Preview" shows DDL for two triggers that enforce the arc.
    After removing the arc from the logical model and "engineer to relational" I still see the trigger code in "DDL Preview", as if the arc is still there.
    Where can I see the arc in the relational model, and how do I remove it from the model?

    Marc,
    you can see the arc on diagram - probably it's hidden. You can move some of parent tables and probably it'll appear. If still invisible then you can create subview and put child table and two parent tables on it - arc should appear and you can delete it.

  • IDE:  Child movieclip timeline changes don't show in parent timeline?

    Why does a child movieclip only show the first frame within the IDE, regardless of where you are in the parent timeline?
    If you throw a movieclip with 25 frames onto the main timeline, which also has 25 frame, you don't see the nested movieclip's frame-progress while you scroll through the main timeline.
    Is there a setting somewhere in preferences or somewhere that will enable you to see a nested movieclip's frame position from the main timeline?  Like you do with After Effects composites?

    The best answer I can think of is that's the way it is.  Movieclip symbols in a timeline only display their initial frame contents.  If you traverse the containing timeline, you aren't traversing the timelines of the objects contained in it.  That helps keep main/containing timelines small.
    Darn, thanks Ned.  I wish this were not the case, as it would be very useful to see what's actually going on.  I've not looked into graphic symbols, maybe I can use them, thanks!

    I'm also looking to find a way to remove message/s from FacesContext, and so far I've not been able to do this.
    The issues described below (if you have the patience to understand it) may uncover some JSF issues when combining different functionalities in JSF to come up with a solution.
    I have a requirement to display (let's just say error) messages in a message board. I do this in 2 steps: field-level validations are done first, and if all corrected (by the user), I do multi-field-level as well as business logic validation after model update (the way JSF seems to be designed to handle different types of validations). Let's say I have a combination of 3 combo-boxes that are dependent on one another. Selection from (1) requires dynamically filtering and setting a list for two and that in turn requires dynamically filtering and setting a list for 3, so the first two have valueChangeListener (try doing this in JSF!!!, I had to hack my way through to set this up with JSF, but that is not the issue). I have business rules associated with items within combo (1) and other entry fields entered by users (i.e. for simplicity let's just say, if material 'chain' is selected from combo 1, I should set combo (2) and (3), and validate that user entered at least four in # used entry field). Let's say I have a table with many rows of above combination of combo-boxes specified. Again for simplicity, assume we only have business rule violations (not field-level that would not go through model update):
    * User selects many combination of entried before submit (with no field-level error)
    * Business rules are checked and messages added to FacesContext and displayed in a message board
    * Next, all these messages disappear from the view when selecting any item from any combo-box (with valueChangeListeners attached to them) - 2 reasons: 1. a new FacesContext is created per valueChangeEvent 2. Business model update does not happen (so we don't generate these messages again and add them to FacesContext, it is not efficient to do so anyways)
    * we would like to display all those business logic validation messages so the user could correct them all (and not lose them by any combo-box selection)
    * As a workaround, I add these messages to session (which is another issue, since FacesMessages are not serializable) at the end of business logic validation, and retrieve and display them by (a.) forcing combo-boxes go through (field-level) validation, (b.) adding a new hidden field at the end of all fields in JSP page with a custom-validator that all it does is to get messages saved to session (from the last business logic validation) and add them to the FacesContext - this ensures that messages are not lost due to combo-box selections
    * The problem is that when user submits (to validate the business rules again), since the old Business validations messages are added to FacesContext at the end of field-level validation, I need to clear them, before adding the newly generated messages
    * But....I can't remove messages from FacesContext
    So here's a reason for this 'needed' functionality, based on whatever is available (as of JSF 1.1.01). Is there a better way to this, I'll be delighted to hear it (as I have tried different solutions myself with above combination of issuses), and have wasted some time trying to work-around the issues I've faced using JSF (in every one of those ways I've tried) ....part of which is described here...

  • AS2 setMask: can a mask be a movie clip composed of child movieclips?

    Hi,
    I create dynamically a empty movieclip and attach to it
    several movieclips
    symbols from the library and call it "mcMask".
    Then I try to mask another dynamicaly created movieclip
    called "mc" using :
    mc.setMask(mcMask).
    But it only partially works (some child clips of mcMask
    actually mask mc,
    but others don't).
    Why?
    Can't setMask work with a mask composed of child movieclips?

    PArt of the problem will be due to declaring the uiLoader inside of a function.  When you do that you limit its scope to within that function.  You should declare it outside of any function if you need to access it in more than one function.

    The other problems I see regard the line you point to.  It is not spelling the name the same, using a lowercase "l". Also, if you want to target what the UILoader contains, you should target its "content" property, as in...
    targetObj = uiLoader.content.mask_01
