Remove group by and sum using Itab

Hello,
I am changing one report or performance problem.
It has a select clause on BKPF which is retrieving SUM (wrbtr ) AS wrbtr in the field list and USING group by 6-7 fields...
I want to remove this group by clause, take all records ( without sum ) into another internal table, sort it by these 6 fields ( will define them at the start of structure),
loop through it and then use AT NEW for these 6 fields and use collect for summing the wrbtr.
Will it be more efficient.? Data volume is very large.
Please advice.

Hi Rupali,
BKPF is not having field 'WRBTR'. Also just a suggestion, whenever you are fetching data from BKPF try using indexes in where condition if your condition includes the fields that have indexes. Also note that whenever you are using an index then include those fields in same sequence as mentioned in index. For example, if you want to fetch data based on Reference Transaction and Reference Key then in where condition put AWTYP first and then AWKEY. ( See index no. 4 when you click 'Indexes' button on Application toolbar. )
BKPF contains huge volume of data and if selection is based on primay key or indexes then searching will be much faster.

Problem with group by and sum function

In one of the report I'm using grioup by clause on one column. However when I use this function the sum function on other column is not working.
Any idea how we can resolve this?

Hi Tintin,
Follow the below steps:
1) On the order number column formula, use the max function.
2) Duplicate the revenue column in the RPD, set the aggregation to sum and level to transaction. This will give you the sum of all the orders in a particular trasaction, where as in report you will see only the max account number.

Remove group tree and parameter button from crystal view in iView

I have a crystal report which renders in an iView on the SAP portal. When a user views the report, in the viewer I see the group tree button and the parameter button. Is there a way to disable the group tree button and parameter button ?

I have a page within it I have a Composite view (SearchPage) and an iview (MyIview1). I have passed a URL to the iview (MyIview1).
In searchpage i have a variable @Address which is selected from a dropdown box. On click of a button i need to pass the variable @Address to the iview (MyIview1). which should be appended to the URL that i pass to MyIview1.
If i use URL action it opens as popup, and shows the desired result. But, I want it to open within the iview (myiview1).
Please let me know how else do i pass the variable from composite view to the url iview within the same page as ="www.abcd.com?address="&@Address does not open the url in the iview.

Thanks for the response gakker, but I've double-checked the camera / iPhoto / Image Capture scenario, and I'm 100% positive it's got nothing to do with that.
Plugging in my iPhone has no effect on anything related to this.
The other thing I should have mentioned is that when iTunes on my Mac is NOT running, then nothing happens on my iPhone screen when I plug it in to my Mac. I only get the "Sync in progress" message when iTunes IS running.
It's interesting though that you say you also get this "Sync in progress" message, albeit only for a second or two though.
Can I just double-check something with you however... When you say:

Expression Grouping and Summing

I am working on a report where I have an expression that gets the Max value of a field in the detail row of my report. I have four levels of grouping that I then need this expression to sum. The expression is:
=Max(IIF(LEFT(Fields!JobNum.Value,1)="S" AND Fields!Week1STol.Value<>0, CDBL(Fields!Week1STol.Value), 0))
I am using Max, because I need a value from a result set that is one of the non-zero values from the result set. They will all be the same, or 0, so if there is a different way to get the non-zero value without using an aggregate I can change my expression
to do that, but I have not found a way to do that yet. Now since I am grouping this, and as each group rolls up I need the sum of the max values in the subgroup. When I get is the Max value of the new group.
I have tried various ways to try and get this to sum. I have tried creating total rows, added custom code to collect running totals, etc., I have also tried wrapping the whole thing in a SUM aggregate, and that will work in the detail, but will not
roll up into the groupings.
Any help as to how this can be done will be greatly appreciated.

Ok, after continuing to search the internet I finally found the extra piece that I was missing that gave me the results I needed. The new expression looks like this:
=runningvalue(Sum(Max(IIF(LEFT(Fields!JobNum.Value,1)="S" AND Fields!Week1STol.Value<>0, CDBL(Fields!Week1STol.Value), 0),"JobItem"),"JobItem"),SUM, "JobItem")
In this I wrapped the original expression of Max in both a Sum and a runningvalue both at the JobItem level to get this rollup value. Now when I open the grouping I get the correct running value at each level.
What this really gives to me is a running total at each of four groupings, even with a "max" value at the detail level. This also allows me to total a max value inline on the report, without needing a hidden row, or report footer.

User can't create, edit, or remove groups and fix I found causes more issues.

I have a user that can't create, edit, or remove groups within Lync client 2013. I found a fix online that removing the SIP information will fix the issue. It did but when I do that they have no control over their phone from Lync. So I
added the SIP information back and then the original issue comes back. Is there a way I can have both? We are using the 2013 client but are running Lync 2010 on the server.

would you please elaborate about the message above you provided? Did "SIP information" mean user profile?
If yes, it maybe the issue of address book sync. you can try to force Lync to immediately download the address book with the following way:
execute the following command from the Windows Command Prompt run as an administrator;
reg add HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync /v GalDownloadInitialDelay /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

How to group data and assign cell names using Excel templates

reading the article "Real Excel Templates 1.5" on the Tim Dexter's Blog, I found that I need hierarchical data for Excel templates. So only in this way I can group my data.
My hierarchy is composed by 3 levels:
lev 1 DESTINATION: is the higher level that groups SERVICES and COUNTRY
lev 2 SERVICES: is the level that groups the countries
lev 3 COUNTRY: is the lowest level with the COUNTRY, CALLS and CALLS_MINUTES details

Not considering the CALLS and CALLS_MIN details (I focused only on the COUNTRY which is as the same level), with this data template, making tests on my excel template, I noticed that I can group ONLY two nested levels using the format XDO_GROUP_?group_name?

So...I think that the problem is how I choose the excel cells when I assign the XDO_GROUP_?group_name?
Anybody had made some tests, or can help me ???? I'm becoming crazy.....

PS script to disable users / Audit and remove Groups / Hide from GAL have bits but need to put it together

I am trying to get a script together to run against a specific OU (our disabled Users OU) to make the process of leavers more automated.
I am trying to achieve the 4 main outcomes below
1. Disable User account
2. Hide from GAL
3. Export users group membership to a file based on SamAccountName
4. Remove users from all groups except domain users
I have some parts of this working from other peoples scripts i have found on the web but need to tie it all together which is proving to be beyond my basic scripting ability
Below is what i have so far, this does disable users / hide from GAL and remove groups however as stated i would really like it to export the group membership to a file before removing them so i have a record should a mistake be made.

It uses the verbose stream to redirect the groups out to a text file of your choice. Please note this is untested so please use with caution.

Is it possible to remove the To: field in mail and just use Bcc?

I often use Mail at work to distribute information by email to members of our union. I copy and paste their email address from another list that is kept up to date by someone else. Most of the time I remember to paste their addresses to the Bcc field so members don't see who else is a member or their email addresses. Occasionally I forget and paste it into the To field and get many complaints about privacy etc.
I therefore feel it would be safer if I could some how remove the To field and just use the Bcc field instead. Is this possible or does anyone have any better ideas?

This will depend entirely upon the SMTP. Some SMTP will move a Bcc address to the To because their policy requires at least one address be in the To. Other do not require it.
Better to create a Group in Address Book, and then use the Group name as the addressee, taking care to have the Preferences set to not display members of the Group. The resulting To will read Undesignated Receipts.

I have a new iPad with wifi. When I send messages I can see my sons and my husbands but not my phone number. We all have an iPad and all use the same apple ID as iPad the bill. How can I remove their numbers and add mine?

Add another e-mail account to your messages, so people could reach you on that e-mail from messages. As soon as you are online (if you have wifi only iPad) you are able to send and receive messages. i.e. your son can send you a messages from his iPhone addressing it to your (that additional) e-mail address.
