Remove Show/Hide Filters link in UWL

Hello,
In the standard delivered UWL iview there is a link in the upper right hand corner that toggles the filters on and off. We want to remove this link. Does anyone know how to do it? We have checked iview properties and the UWL XML config file and can't find anything relevant.

I just tested the Allow Filters on the UWL iview parameter and this works fine. Have you managed to do this? Be sure too that you checking no for allowed filters on the correct iview.

I had a situation similar to this. I had NULL selected in the column when I wanted to hide the link. Please find below more explenation:-

so, my point is, if the SQL you have in the INTERACTIVE REPORT is creative enough to have NULL in the column, Link is not enabled.

How i can display or hide download link in classical report based on user rights .
The User who has download rights ,can download the data from classical report Otherwise it should hide.

Right click on the export link, select copy url. Create a button with redirect to URL. Use that URL (or at least everything with and after f?p). Bind rights to the button.
Or create a second identical report with different rights, give one export enabled and one disabled. The first is better, the second is easier :)

Remove show/hide group tree at inforview for cystal report

Hi there!
I have 2 copies of Inforview install on 2 computers.
The first one, is my local comp. The display of cyrstal report at dynamic viewer is ok.
However on my second comp. The viewer will default to show the group tree stucture. I have tried to set the configuration at web.config. But it is still displaying the group tree structure.
Anyone could assist me?

I have tried disabling the option "Show Preview Panel" (according to a screenshot I found, this option replaced the old "Create Group Tree" option) in Report Options, and that effectively eliminates the content of the group tree, however, the group tree panel still comes up and shows empty until it is hidden using the toolbar.
This is really annoying and I can't find any solution for it on the web. Any ideas anyone?

The PI in DW CS4 has 2 "tabs". One for HTML and one for CSS.
There are
buttons on the left to choose the tabs. Choose the HTML tab
for the link
field.

Calling 'show hide' event from 'select' event

Hi all,
is it possible to call an event from another event?
Can i call the 'show hide' event from the 'select' event to disclose the selected row?
As a sidenote: is it possible to remove the show/hide button/link but to retain the show/hide functionality?

Yes indeed... the row information is sent... the 'select' event i'm refferring to is the one generated when you drag a viewobject as a readonly table to a UIX datapage...
It is generated initially as

Show/Hide nested subforms

Since I didn't get a response on the issue I had on post
lisa j richards, "Save and Export Data format issue/question" #, 1 Aug 2006 8:30 am, I spent a couple days and completely recreated the form using inherent bindings which actually messes up usability of the form a bit, but what can you do?
Anyway, since I think we'll have to go in and manually delete all the "infoOnly" type fields in the XML, I'd like to try to make it as easy as possible to find and delete that information which means limiting the subforms into one main subform (tag). One of the tags that needs to go under this subform needs the ability to show and hide. It was working before I redid the form by using setInstances() in it's own subform of the root. I now need to move it down a level.
_subformMain.subformSub.setInstances(1); does not work.
subformMain.subformSub.instanceManager(1); doesn't work, and
xfa.pathTo.subformMain.subformSub...(1); doesn't work (I've tried several iterations)
The question is this, how can I keep a parent subform visible and hide one of its child subforms by using a button (or in this case radio button fields) located in a different subform?

Can we hide or delete the standard BO link that shows up in SAP Inbox & UWL

Hi,
Is there a way to hide or delete the standard BO link that shows up in SAP Inbox & UWL ?
I have already gone through the following threads.
Objects and attachments in workitems..
No standard object's link in the workitem
But, i have this requirement to hide atleast on UWL side the link for the std. BO.
I am working with ECC 6.0 & E.P 7.0 , SP 10.

Luckily, for this, i was using a user-decision step which uses DECISION --> PROCESS method. So, I could remove the BO:TRIP that i included earlier. But, for other tasks, where if we use a method from our BO, we cannot remove this std. BO link that shows up in "Objects & Attachments"...to my understanding.

Making links that show/hide layers?

Hi all,
I created an InDesign cs4 file which is pretty much a guide for users of my liveCicle form. I have a bunch of layers in the file.
I'm trying to make links associated with images that are in its own layers. So when i export the file to pdf and hit certain link, layer associated with that link shows up. I tryed to do this in acrobat 9 pro. I created links, but the problem is that links in non visible layers work behind the scene when i hover over.
Is there a way to set layer visability in inDesign CS4?

No you can´t toggle layer visibility with buttons made in indesign. You have to finish it in Acrobat....
Only way to make something appear or disappear in ID is to use show/hide buttons action...
You can convert those images you want to show&hide to buttons. Then you can create another buttons to show or hide them.
If you export as PDF, default state of a button can be hidden...

How do you remove the show/hide all bookmarks ICON from the bookmarks bar in safari 2.0.4?

Show/hide linked layers

In webdev it is not unsual that design involves multiple variations like "pages" where mostly header and footer stays the same while its "content" (the page itself) changes. And then simulate a navigation by means of hiding and unhiding each respective "page" folder. Where also the site's menu tranforms as "navigation" evolves.
It is a bit frustrating in order to achieve this to have to create a lot of duplicated menu folders and place'em under every "page" just to represent this selected links. And then if you have to redesign that menu, you have it spreaded throught several folder locations.
I think being able to hide/unhide linked layers at a glance of a click would be nice to have and would allow you a more strealined work while redesigning linked portions.
Any toughts on this or workarounds? Glad to hear.

How do you allow firefox to toggle show/hide menus

I am using a website that has a show/hide text toggle. When I click the show button, it opens a new blank tab. I tested this on google chrome as well and it works properly. There must be a setting in firefox to correct this but I don't know what it is.

Such a hide/show action is usually done via a JavaScript onclick event.
If you get a new tab or window then this would suggest that the onclick isn't working and that the href is used and opens the new tab.
You could check via the right-click context menu in the Inspector if there is an 'ev' button appended to this link (button).

How to show/hide div based on mysql value

I have a dataset that has a column 'locked' that is a boolean that I want to use to remove a button on a form. The idea being that it will be set to 1 after a period of time thus removing the buttun that links to an update form and preventing the data from being changed. Currently, I have the field linked to a check box at the top of the table. How do I use this to hide the button (or any other html element for that matter) when set to 1 and show the element when set to 0? I understand I need to creat a php variable from the mysql boolean and then use a if/else loop to hide/display the html but I don't know how to impliment this? Thanks for any help offered.

Thanks for your help, nearly worked but only returned results where the if statement was met ie where locked =0, so I used an additional statement to display something else when when locked=1

I have requirement in portal CE 7.1 as follows.
all GP tasks are getting displayed in UWL that is fine.
i want to hide the link "Attachment" in the preview of a Task??
once i open the task from UWL then that task item opens in new window where i am getting the "Attachment" link that i wanted to hide or remove.

There are Subject, From, Send Date, Attachment .... columns.
Do you want to hide Attachment column?

How can I have the attachments options be hidden? Our users do not want to add attachments.
In the UWL iview properties update the proprety "List of preview sections to hide (SUBJECT, ATTRIBUTES, DESCRIPTION, ATTACHMENTS, NOTES, USERDECISION, and/or ACTIONS)." Enter ATTACHMENTS as a value.

DW: Show-Hide Layers

Hey, I’m having two issues with the Show-Hide Layers
behaviour in Dreamweaver and was wondering if someone else has had
the same problems and has a solution.
My test page is

1) What I would like is to show the layer when the link is
hovered over, which works fine. However, I also want the layer to
remain visible while the mouse is over the layer and disappear when
the mouse leaves the layer.
I Googled for a while and found some tutorials that deal with
showing/hiding layers but they hide the layers once the mouse
leaves the original link, not the layer.
2) Also, the site that I want to apply this behaviour to has
an auto centering wrapper box, so I would like the layer to popup
right underneath the link every time without converting the entire
site to absolute positioning. As it is now, the popup appears at
different locations depending how wide my browser is.
Is this even possible with the current DW functionality?

When you show the layer, also show an underlying layer that
contains a
transparent GIF image that is about 10px wider/taller than
the layer you
show. Apply a hide layer behavior to the GIF image that hides
both the
layer you just showed, and the underlying layer. Remove the
mouseout hide
event from the original trigger. Does that make sense?
