Remove UAC on USB program?

Aloha,
Is there a way to remove the UAC warning on an exe file on a flash drive? If so, how do I do it?

In your Security Policy, you can find some settings:
Start-> Run -> SecPol.msc
Drill down on local policies, then security options.
All the way at the bottom, you'll find some UAC options.
I don't think that the particular setting that you would want exists. You'll likely have to turn off the UAC entirely.

What is your current situation?
Have you tried the solution as MVP Cyber_Defend_Team mentioned?
Do this program preinstalled? If yes, we need to contact the manufacturer to receive better support.
If my understanding is right, you uninstalled it once, but the program was back and only the option to ‘change’.
Could you please provide us a screenshot to avoid misunderstanding if you willing to?
Can you run the program? If the program runs in the startup, we could use the tool System Configuration (msconfig) to disable apps or services that normally run at startup.

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

I had this problem too but you do not need UAC to be turned on.
Click on start and search for 'uac' in the search box at the bottom and click on 'Change User Account Control Settings' when it comes up. Move the slider to the bottom when the window appears and save the changes and your done!
It's worked for me and my uac has been off for months without causing me any problems!

Yes. Control Panel for Windows.
On the Mac under Applications look in the Utiilities folder and you will see an Adobe Installers folder. Inside there you will see links like 'Uninstall Adobe InDesign CS6'.

OK thanks for the tips, looks like libusb is the way to go. The device is a Phidget servo controller but for various reasons I prefer to avoid libphidget21 even though it did work for me.

HT201210 While trying to update my iphone and itunes, I have messag 1611 and my phone is frozen on a pic of a usb cord w/ an arrow to itunes.. I have removed firewalls and security programs as suggested..still not restored!!

I was on the phone with an apple tech for two hours, we managed to update itune program on computer, but by that time the phone was dead and would not show up as a divice. She also told me she would email a case number and some articles which would guide me through the process if it did not work. I did not receive them!! My iphone cannot be restored (error 1611). I have removed all security ware as it suggested. I even took down the windows firewall... I have tried everything (except of course I cannot try what they suggest I adjust on my phone because it is frozed FOREVER!!! Please help me!!

No I don't want to delete any part of the O/S. What I wanted to do was what I could always do In the past and that was to able to remove programs that I had no use for. An example would be CALCULATOR, CHESS, STICKIES AND OTHERS.
Now it looks like we are stuck with what ever Apple decides what we should have!
Starting also to look like the IPAD, as the same goes for it.

I have a USB flash drive with a personal health record program preloaded. When I plug in the flash I'm unable to view the full screen shot. I have Windows 7.

The program may be limited in the size of the window it can create for display, I would ask the company that produces that program if it is the only program with this issue.

As in FBZP, i just maintain RFFOUS_C in Pmnt methods in country > Country X > Pmnt method X > Payment medium, how come there was another 2 program RFFOEDI1 and RFFOAVIS which maintain in?
I would like to ask how to remove these 2 programs RFFOEDI1 and RFFOAVIS?
As when i do cheque printout for RFFOUS_C with specific variants, the system will print out 4 check number and out of 4 only 1 cheque number is suit to my payment....others is test printout and its use up my check number which maintain under check lot.

Script printing cause the program defined to be run. Use transaction FBZP and go into your company code under the Paying Company Code. Click Fomrs and remove forms in both Form for the payment advice and EDI Accompaning sheet Form fields.

Detecting removal of uninstalled usb device

Hello,
I have an application where I am setting a serial number in a USB device. I then remove the device from the Registry using Devcon (Devcon will not uninstall the device if it isn't plugged in). At this point I want the operator to unplug the device from the cable. My problem is that with the device uninstalled Devcon doesn't report the unplug event.
However, Device Manager will refresh upon unplugging the device, even with it uninstalled. So something tells it to refresh. How do I tap into that?
And I did look at this link, but couldn't get it to help me. Did I miss something there?

One of the annoying bits about URLs is that they're static, so if the target no longer exists, or has been moved, the links are no longer valid. I know the two links that I had provided in my response in that other thread are no longer valid. The first one pointed to a LAVA thread that no longer exists. LAVA had a major server failure a while back. The other link points to a project that was moved to a new location. Don't know about George's site.
As for what to do now, one thing that you can do is to use the Windows Message Queue Library. The example that ships with the library is pretty self-explanatory. In your case you would want to listen to the WM_DEVICECHANGE message. The readme contained within the archive lists the values for the various messages.

Displayed a message box then removed it by a program without user action

Can a message box be displayed by a program and then removed by the program without any user action such as clicking OK or closing the box?
If so, will you show us how to do that?
I have a non-GUI application which needs to tell the user to wait while classes and being created and data is being loaded from the network. The message needs to disappear when the program is ready.

Remove files from USB without using trash

This is actually a tip which after searching the internet I never found and devised the method for myself. I thought finding a place for it for future reference would be helpful.
Problem: Delete files from a removable drive (USB, etc.) and free the space without emptying the system trash.
My method: Move the files in Finder (not copy) off the drive in question to the internal HDD of the computer (pick or create a temporary folder for simplicity) using CMD-drag. You will notice when you press CMD after beginning to drag the files in finder that the "plus" sign will disappear.
Once you have moved the files the space they occupied on the removable drive will be freed. You may then delete them from the temporary folder as you wish.

If there's an app that plays .avi's, it may have file sharing
beyond that, no idea. Because you have to get it onto the iPad and into the video app.
I can't recall, if the video app will play avi's, then you can use the camera connection kit and if you follow the correct naming convention, you can import the files onto the ipad, watch them, then delete.
Files with names of exactly 8 characters, located in a folder named DCIM (you're fooling the camera connection kit to think your videos are from a camera.)
