Removing assigned budget from commitment item.

Hi.
I am facing a problem with how to restructure commitment item in our R3 system. The problem is that when the commitment item has been created in our system, person responsible chose "Not Directly Postable" option though it should have been "Directly Postable". Right after that budget has been assigned to this commitment item. I went through a number of FM documents and they all say that feature "postable"/"not postable" is not changeable to begin with and on the top of that commitment item cannot be changed once it has any kind of budget assigned to it. As I understand I need to roll back assigned budget (thank God, nothing else has been done), then delete this commitment item, then create it again. I couldn't find anything that explains how to do that. There is a Tcode FMDOCREV but it reverses the whole document and this is not an option for us as by the same document budgets have been assigned to a number of commitment items and spent from them already.
To summarize my post: I need to remove assigned budget for my commitment item (the rest seems to be easy).
Please, advise.

Hi,
Maybe you can use this work around solution:
1. create a direct postable and budgetable CI
2. in BCS derivation tool, replace the old CI with the new CI when applicable
3. in FMDERIVE, add the new CI to the applicable derivation rules
4. transfer the budget from the old CI to the new CI using FMBB.
If your FM master data is year-dependent, you have the option of use back the old CI by checking the postable indicatior for the new FY.

    You can assign a NULL lov to an item

    Thanks for the response gakker, but I've double-checked the camera / iPhoto / Image Capture scenario, and I'm 100% positive it's got nothing to do with that.
    Plugging in my iPhone has no effect on anything related to this.
    The other thing I should have mentioned is that when iTunes on my Mac is NOT running, then nothing happens on my iPhone screen when I plug it in to my Mac. I only get the "Sync in progress" message when iTunes IS running.
    It's interesting though that you say you also get this "Sync in progress" message, albeit only for a second or two though.
    Can I just double-check something with you however... When you say:

    do you mean the iTunes on your Mac? Because the problem I have is that the iPod-playback on my iPhone is interrupted.
    So can you clarify that for me, please? If you have music playing on your iPhone, and you then plug your iPhone into your Mac when iTunes is running on your Mac, does the music playback on the iPhone get interrupted?

    While doing Import Procurement Budget is checking the CVD Duty also,  As per as my understanding the CVD Duty account should be a B/S gl Account, but this gi account hitting as a commitment item ans cosume the budget.  How it is?

    Check wether the Commitment item is assinged to the CVD GL Account in FS00 and also check wether the Commitment item Assigned to CVD accoint is a statistical one or a real one.
    if it was a statistical one it will never ask you for budjet. please check and confirm

  • Fund managment exceeding the budgeted and committed items

    Dear All,
    In my client place we implement the fund management.  we create the department wise fund center and related committed items.
    For example for the Fund center Administration Expenses- Committed item is Advertising expenses.  When ever i made the payment to that particular expenses if i exceed the budgeted amount it will though error .
    Like this i am getting for the some of the fund center and commitment items. I am having department wise fund center and commitment items list of 50 under that for  25 fund center whenever i exceed the budget it shows the error message for the some of the fund centers it not showing any warning message. and also allowing to make entries so my fund center report is showing negative values. so please guide to solve this issue.

    it is correct or not  pl guide to solve this issue for half of  the  fund center and commitment item when exceed the budget it is through error but for the remaining fund center is is accepting.

    In the UWL configuration, you specify the default action for a UWL item using the attribute "defaultAction".
    This default action is performed when you click on the UWL item.
    You can set any of the available actions as the default action for the UWL item.
    As mentioned by Karri, it is usually not common to disable the hyperlink of a UWL item and make it non-clickable.
    However, if you would like to achieve this, you can identify and check the UWL configuration file being used for the given UWL item and modify it as below:
    <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.decision.TS20000999.MYUWL_SYSTEM" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="yourDefaultView" defaultAction="dummyAction" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria
    Since dummyAction is something UWL doesn't recognize, the hyperlink should be disabled.
    You might have to do this for all the UWL item types you use.

  • I remove a disk from excluded items in time machine, save, and it does not remove it. Why

    after the upgrade, time machine cannot use the extern disk in the backup.
    It naturally excludes the external disk. I used to be able to remove the exclusion. After time machine I cannot.
    The time machine preference is problematic. It shows the disk as remove, and calculated the space it will take to backup. However the save button undoes the selection,,,,, without showing that.

    I did all the things it suggested. I went over every detail with Western Digital tech support. Once the WD software is removed. And the firmware upgraded. And formated with Apple Format, and partitioned, and GUID and and and. I can transfer files without any difficulty in all circumstances; BUT  ONE AND THAT IS WORKING WITH TIME MACHINE NOT ALLOWING THE BACKUP OF THE DATA ON THE WD DRIVE. 
    This is a Time Machine program error. If the disk exist for all other purpose, it should exist for Time Machine. It is a error to for Time Machine preferences to reverse a user selection. It needs to be fixed.

  • Remove UWL Action from just one item type

    I would like to remove the "forward" action from only one item type in the UWL.  There is the ability to remove an action from all items in a particular iView using "List of UWL Actions to exclude", however, I can not find out how, or if it is possible to exclude a UWL action in the XML configuration file for just one item type.  We are on NWO4s sp 05.  Does anyone know if this can be done and what the xml snippet would look like that would remove the "forward" action from a single item type?

    The xml snippet you sent does remove the "forward" action from the UWL preview iView, but it does not remove the action from the list view.  To the right of every item in the list view is the "properties" icon (unclear on the actual name of this icon - the one that has 3 small lines and a triangle).  When this is clicked the "forward" option still appears.  I am looking for a way to totally disable the forward option on the defaultView, but only for certain item types.

    Suppose when you post a document rs 5000 and you post the budget on that GL 4000, then system not post the document and give the errro Budget is exceed something.
    In that case you check in SPRO -Public sector management -Fund management goverment -Actual & commitment update - integration - Active& deactive fund management
    Here you check out fund management is active or deactive.If deactive then system not given the message  budget exceddand not update the budget report.
    2. No commitment item entered in item 00002 SCL 270303
    in that case check the derivation rule Fmderiver transaction code , here you see you assign GL to commitment item
    B) you go to the transaction code FMBSBO - Budget adddress - here you assign commitment item to fund center
    then also go to FMBSPO - Payment address - here alos you assign the commitment item to fund center

    The derivation rule was set up that an error message appears when this happens.
    The required derivation rule entry would need the following source fields:

    Create an entry in a derivation rule for these source field values.  Make sure that entries exist for all the valid source field values.  If the derivation should not always be carried out, you can also define rule so that no error message appears if a derivation rule entry does not exist.
    Can any one help how to find out the root cause of the error and solve this issue

    I was able to duplicate your error by creating the following.
    I went to transaction FMDERIVE and created a derivation rule and named it "Fund From Commitment Item".
    On the definition tab, I selected committment item (COMMIT_ITEM) for the source field and the target field selected (FUND).
    The condition tab was left blank. NOTE: On the attribute tab I selected the option "Issue Error Warning If No Value Found).
    I entered no rule values (F9) within the rule (for example such as commitment item XXXXXXX = fund YYYYY) and saved.
    After creating this derivation rule, I get the same error message because there were no values in the derivation rule (the source commitment item used was not found in the rule).
    If Fund is a field that is always keyed manually then I would not have such a derivation rule.
    But you may have some exceptions (like we do) and in the case of exceptions you can populate the derivation rule with those exceptions... i.e. whenever commitment item XXXX is used then the fund should be equal to YYYY further using your conditions and attributes for your custom needs.

    I have a Web Item Type Analysis and I use the Row Selection (SELECT_ROWS) value multiple.
    Is there a way to reset the selection via a function?
    The user select some rows and start a planning function via a button. If they would like to start the function for an other selection they first have to remove the old ones and have to mark the other lines.
    A function to remove all selection from the item is needed!
    PS: It is getting funny if there is paging and the selection is not even visible because it is on an other page.

    Hi,
    Solutions proposed by Alexey are good if FM document was created for the FI documents in question. If, however, no FM document was created, reassignment process won't help. You can try FMN0 transaction after creating a derivation rule in FMDERIVE for these documents, but I cannot confirm that it would be sucessful as FMN0 transaction is not perfect.
    The solution could be updating FI tables (BSEG/BSIS/BSAS) with FM assignment (fund centre/commitment item) and only then running FMN0 transaction. In this case, FM document will be created and you'll be able to process the items.

    I looked at the online documentation and it looks to be limited by the DI API remove method also, I don't think it is a option because the ItemCycleCount object does not have a remove method.
