Removing Parallels program

I have Parallels Version 4 on my intel imac. I have all data backed up to a thumb drive. I want to remove the program and re-allocate the whole drive back to OS10.8.3
What are the proper/official steps to take to achieve this re-allocation? Are there any issues to be aware of?

Parallels is a virtual machine software program. It only takes up a small amount of space on your os x partition. If you have a version of windows installed in a virtual machine that will take up some more space, more space then the parallels program. You can delete the virtual machine from the parallels virutal machine management screen or manually by locating it on your drive. It is probably in your Documents folder under your username.
Now if you used boot camp assistant to partition your mac hard drive and installed windows in that partition that is taking up much more space. To remove that run boot camp assistant again and you will have the option to remove the partition and put the space used back into the os x partition.

"program access and defaults" is not the place to remove programs in Windows. You need to go to the control panel and click on Add and Remove programs. For instructions on how to uninstall Firefox, see [[Uninstalling Firefox]]

You can manage your account by logging into adobe.com and taking the following steps:
*Sign in the top right corner using your Adobe.com credentials
*Click on your name (same location) and select ‘My products and services’
*From there you can check on your status, log in/account info, etc.

What application do you want to uninstall?
On Mac, most of the applications are uninstalled just dragging them to the Trash. If an application comes with an uninstaller, use it instead to uninstall that application.
Also, never use a cleaning app to uninstall an application. They can damage OS X, so the only option will be reinstall the operating system

Are you looking for iPodService.exe?
Might be better to run services.msc from the run dialog and shut down the service polietly.

Thank you for answering!
Unfortunatley I still can't find were I download the program. Following your suggested link I get to the window below.
When I click the "Creative Cloud" Icon it takes me to a new page.
On that page see below there are a lot of programs like Photoshop etc. but there is NO icon for Creative Cloud.
It looks the same when I log in. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour and QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
