Rename file in file adapter after processing

Hi All,
My requirement is, i need to rename the file in receiver file adapter after the file is written to the folder. and this file should have a counter attached to its name. For eg. If i had a file created with name Material, i want to change it to Order001, Order002, Order003.... so on and counter should reset after 999. how can i achecive it?
thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Rshmi,
use this UDF i hope it will work fine,
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
     .getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
String a=conf.get(key);
int inc = 1;
Integer seqNo = (Integer) container.getParameter("seqNo");
if(seqNo == null || seqNo ==999){
                            seqNo = new Integer(inc);
else{
                           int num = seqNo.intValue() + inc;
                           seqNo = new Integer(num);
container.setParameter("seqNo", seqNo);
return var1+seqNo.toString();

    HI,
    1. check whether you have authorization for write access.
    2. Check the path provided for process.
    3. Ensure both the staging and the process paths are different.

  • Empty File has to write after Message Processing in File Adapter..!!

    Hi,
    File to File Scenario.
    Once the file is processed and placed in the receiver folder, I need to generate one empty file with the original file name but with different extension (DON). This is used to indicate that the full file is written in the folder.
    Example:
    Original file has to write like "Output_Final.CSV"
    Empty file has to be placed like "Output_Final.DON"
    Is there any way I can achieve this requirement.?
    Thanks
    Deepthi.

    I have no clue of removing the same using Graphical mapping ..
    I hope you have set the option of Write Empty File if not try this and still doesnot work

  • Failed to delete file after processing FTP

    Failed to delete file after processing. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.ai i.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unexpected reply code *.txt: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. '. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.
    I got this error many times for the same interface. Not sure what is the reason for this.
    Searched on internet go comments that this is because of FTP version!
    Please help

    It is the "Msecs to Wait Before Modification Check" in the Sender Adapter that ensures this. It works like this: PI starts processing, finds a file, then waits the number of miliseconds specified and checks the file again to see if it has changed over the waiting period. If so, then it waits again to make sure the file is written completely. Only if no changes took place over the waiting period, it starts processing the file.
    And the fact that your file was successfully processed at retry only confirms that it might have been still written to by the sender system. You can try comparing file's creation timestamp (in OS level) with its processing start time in PI - this could prove me right.

  • The *.icc file is associated with PS process after assigning profile for a picture of CMYK mode ?

    Hi everyone, I have a curious problem for your help
    My OS is Windows 7. Start PS and open an image, choose "Edit" -> "Assign Profile...", in the pop-up dialog there is a drop-down list showing many system profiles, and I find all of these *.icc files are stored in folder "C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color". Just choose any profile to assign, then go to folder "C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color" and find the related icc file, for example, JapanColor2001Coated.icc is for profile "Japan Color 2001 Coated". Now you can still rename the icc file, that is, the icc file is not taken by photoshop process. Our company has a software to generate icc files, however, when assign these profiles, the icc file is associated with PS process, which means I can't rename or delete the related icc file, even after assigning another profile, unless close the image documents, that is unwanted. So I'd like to know the reason, in fact I'm not very clear about the ICC file structure. I want to make the local disk file not associated with the process so I can do other operations.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.

    I made a quick try and I can change the name of various custom profiles I've created using Photoshop but it appears that the name of the profile can't be changed if Photoshop was started with the profile in question selected as a soft proofing profile in View > Proof Setup. You have to quit Photoshop, just changing the soft proofing profile to another is not enough.

  • 107 MB File - was not able to process thru File Adapter

    Hi All,
    I tried to send one 107 MB file using file adapter.
    But was getting error as "not able to write on the integration server".It seemed like XI was not able to process file with that much size...as when we did split up the file into smaller ones ..those were processed....
    I want to know what is the file size limit of File adapter......is there any way to send files with that much size from file adapter?
    Can we do any file sizing exercise on XI servers?
    Thanks.

    Hi Henrique
    Even the Zip Module doesnt help.
    We had a similar case, when Xi was acting as a FTP. We thought we would use the Zip Module, etc but what we realise was even if you plan to use the Zip Module, the Entire File first needs to be loaded into the memory before the module can be called and the chances are that the j2EE stack goes down even before the module can be called.
    We also explored the option of using the Jar command in the command line processing before message processing, even this has the same issue that , the Data is loaded into the memory of the j2ee stack and only then the command is executed and so even though the content was zipped, the actual content used by the file adapter was not the zipped content.

  • File Adapter not processing Files which has COMMA in it

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on Project in SOA 11.1.1.6.
    I am trying to process a file which has comma in it. for eg - XXXXXXX-XX_XX_XXX11,99.pdf
    I am picking the file using file adapter from SOURCE directory and using another file adapter to WRITE to destination directory. Polling processing is working fine.
    I am picking the file from SOURCE directory as ATTACHMENT and WRITING to DESTINATION folder through File Adapter
    While doing file WRITE its failing. While reading the file the values of Content Type, Character Set and Encoding are NULL for the ATTACHMENT as they are optional properties.
    The error I am getting while File WRITE is
    <remoteFault>
    <part name="summary">
    <summary>java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to decode properties string att.encoding=null,att.charset=null,att.contentId=AReadFile/XXXXXXXX_XX_XXX11,99.pdf_1352184009640,att.contentType=null,att.partName=attach</summary>
    </part>
    <part name="detail">
    <detail>1</detail>
    </part>
    </remoteFault>

    Comma is usually treated as a separator/delimiter and hence it is not really common to have comma in filename. I think because of this reason File adapter does not support it (have to cross-verify). If you really have a requirement to read/write files with comma in filename then better log a SR with Oracle support.

  • JCBC Adapter and File adapter not processing messages

    Hi
    I noticed that messages are being delivered to Adapter engine and the same are visible in Runtime Workbench with status "to be delivered". But, JDBC Adapter and File Adapter not processing these messages.
    Any idea where I can find the problem?
    I was able to re-deliver successfully via the JDBC Adapter using the MessagingSystem GUI using XISUPER user.
    Regards
    Chandu

    Hi,
    1.Status: TO_BE_DELIVERED
    Which means that the message was successfully delivered from Integration Server point of view and it states that the messages is initially handed over to the Messaging System.
    TO_BE_DELIVERED occurs while the message is put into the Messaging System receive queue.
