Rendereing an Iframe using a gadget/portlet

Hi.I am new to portal technologies. My company is looking to push content out to our customers that use different portal vendors which include Plumtree.I'm trying to find out if I can pull up an IFRAME(eg: cnn.com) in a portlet/gadget using Plumtree
I have been successful in doing this with Sharepoint and Plumtree(v 5.0.2). Any idea if this can be done in earlier versions of Plumtree.From the documentation I have read, it appears that I can accomplish this by creating a gadget but I don't know how to create one in v 4.5 even though i'm logged in as adminstrator.
Please excuse my ignorance about key concepts and terminology about portal development.Any help or direction will be greatly appreciated.~Amit.

Hi Kuljit,
You should look at the Plumtree Stored Content Portlet, which is included in the Plumtree Optional Enterprise Web Components installer. This feature allows you to set up a portlet whose content is refreshing on a periodic basis which you set.

  • Adobe Premiere CC 2014.2: losing rendered files when using warp stabilizer

    Hi,
    I am constantly losing rendered files when using the warp stabilizer. So far I have tried about every hint I could find on the web such as cleaning the cache, rebuilding the rendered files, creating additional sequences etc etc.
    Honestly I am getting tired of using a product that isnt cheap in the first place to rent and where a bug like this apparently persists over several product versions without being fully fixed (I have had this problem throughout 2014 but according to forum postings others seem to have problems with much earlier versions as well).
    I would be really grateful if somebofy has any suggestion how this can be addressed.
    I am also happy to help testing fixes - if there are any fixes available.
    Thanks a lot and Happy New Year!
    Martin

    Hi Catherine,
    Welcome to the Adobe forums.
    Please try the steps mentioned below and check if it works for you.
    1. Launch Premiere Pro and create a Project, go to File menu>Project Settings>Renderer and change the Renderer to Software only mode, delete previews if you get a prompt and then try to import the clip.
    2. If step 1 fails or the Renderer is already on Software only mode, go to Start Menu and search for Device Manager, go into Display Adapters and Right click on the Graphics card to select Update driver software option, on the next screen choose "Browse my computer for driver software", then choose "Let me Pick from a list..." option and from the list select "Standard VGA Graphics adapters. You might need to change the screen resolution of your screen and once done restart the machine again.
    Launch Premiere Pro and import the clip to check.

  • Struts Support: "Cannot  parse the struts configuration file" when using the Struts Portlet Wizard

    I'm currently trying to deploy the struts-example webapp from Struts 1.1 RC1 into

    As soon as I hit next, I am prompted with a dialog informing that me that [Workbench]

  • Hey I have IPAD 1 ,since WIFIconnection is not everywhere so how can I use this gadget ?

    Hey I got I pad 1 since can  not getting WI -FI  everywhere so how can use this gadget ?

    You don't have to have a wifi connect to play a movie that is stored on the iPad.  And you can run many apps without a wifi connection.  ANY app that requires a connection will not run IF you don't have a valid wifi signal.

  • Can I use JavaScript HTML Portlet and PDK Portlets

    Can I use JavaScript HTML Portlet and PDK Portlets?
    My Script works fine with the an HTML portlet but it always gives a an Error Message in the status bar is that normal...
    Other then that I have JavaScript in my PDK portlet page it does not work.. it is the the same javascript I use for in my HTML portlet which works in HTML portlets..

    You'll have to place your JavaScript in the header section of your Portal page. To do so, use HTML/UI templates. For more information, refer to the How to Design and Build Compelling Portal Interfaces whitepaper.
    Good luck,

  • What Rendering intent is used when exporting with a different color space?

    Hi,
    I would be ever so grateful if any one can tell me what rendering intent is used by LR4 when exporting using a custom colour space as there is not an option as there is with the print module.
    Thanks.

    Actually, an RGB color space to RGB colorspace is always only Relative Colorimetric...and adding Perceptual would only work with certain V4 ICC color spaces (you can find perceptual V4 color spaces for sRGB and ProPhoto I think but I'm not sure they would work in Lightroom anyway).
    When using an RGB print output profile you can select either Perceptual or Relative and have the intents actually applied.
    True.
    The case of interest to me is when I have to print a lot of files using a third-party profile and maintain the original filename so it appears on the back.  That is why I made the request more than a year ago.
    The problem with the Print module is that it clobbers the filename but does allow 2 choices for the rendering intent.  Having to deal with weird filenames creates a mess when matching, say, 50 prints with custom notecards.

  • Losing user session using the AutoLoginBacking portlet

    I have a need to use a cookie based login within my portal. I am using the AutoLoginBacking
    portlet that is located in the tutorial.portal samples. My portal contains a
    Main Book with a page (that contains the AutoLoginBacking.portlet) and two nested
    books within the Main Book (one book contains 1 page, the other book contains
    4 pages in a "tabbed" fashion)
    I have noticed that this AutoLoginBacking Login portlet appears to be losing the
    session when I move to the book containing the 4 pages within my bea portal.
    This nested book contains pageflow portlets. When I traverse to page 1 of this
    book, the login session appears to work fine, but when I traverse to page 4, I
    seem to loose the session.
    The way I see this behavior occuring is I grab the user name and place it on the
    page...only on page 1 does it appear, on page 4, it appears as null and my AutoLoginBacking
    portlet reverts from Logout to Login
    Could this be do to the fact that the login uses a backing file instead of it
    being a PageFlow portlet like the LoginController? I've read some documentation
    on the bea site: http://dev2dev.bea.com/products/wlworkshop81/articles/pg_flows.jsp
    that states, "Forwarding/redirecting to a nested page flow, or raising any action
    on it, causes nesting to occur. The original page flow is pushed onto the "nesting
    stack" until the nested page flow raises a return action, using the return-action
    attribute on @jpf:forward. "
    Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

  • Set and read page parameter using a java portlet

    I created a portlet that takes a parameter. I wantt his parameter to be set by the admin in the page parameter section. The portlet that I crated has a parameter. In the providers it has the following:
    <inputParameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
    <name>param</name>
    <displayName>displayParam</displayName>
    </inputParameter>
    However, when I go to the page propertie/parameter, I can "bind" a parameter. How can I do that?
    Thanks,
    Marcelo

    Marcelo,
    This was what I've given you above...
    From 7.1.3 Passing Parameters and Submitting Events jump to Section 2.12, "Public Portlet Parameters Support".
    Public portlet parameters:
    You can use a public portlet parameter to pass a value to a portlet. Using portlet parameters, the information that is displayed in a portlet can be specific to a particular page or a user. Portlet parameters are created by the portlet developer and are exposed to the page designer, through the user interface. After adding a portlet to a page, page designers can assign values to the public portlet parameters to make the information displayed in the portlet specific to the page.
    Page designers can assign values to public portlet parameters by providing a specific value (constant), a system variable (for example, the portal user name), or a page parameter. At run time, the portlet receives the values from the sources specified. In this way, page designers have complete control over the source of the parameter, whereas you have complete control over how the data is used after it is transmitted to the portlet.
    ...and in 7.1.3 Passing Parameters and Submitting Events as assumption is "You have followed through and understood Section 6.3.2, "Building PDK-Java Portlets".
    This why I've said to read it carefully... I hope this helps you further...
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • How to display the HTML pages in RRC/RQM dashboard using OpenSocial gadget

    Hi,
    I have a requirement as below:
    1. I have couple of HTML pages which are hosted in the sharepoint site and I would like to display the HTML pages
    2. I would like to have an OpenSocial gadget in the RRC/RQM dashboard that will display the HTML pages  which are hosted in my sharepoint site.
    Could you please suggest the best approach to create an OpenSocial gadget in the IBM's RRC/RQM dashboard whcih will display html contents of another URL ?
    Thanks.
    Knowledge is power.

    Hi Manoj,
    As I understand, you would like to display SharePoint page in another platform.
    Since the you are involving third party platform, you might still need to contact their support engineer about how to render other pages.
    From SharePoint side, by default, SharePoint won't let end user to display site page to other platform, you could add "<WebPartPages:AllowFraming runat="server"/>" in master page or single page layout. So that SharePoint ASP.Net
    page could be displayed on other platform.
    Here I'm talking about ASP.Net page, since HTML page in SharePoint cannot be displayed in browser as I tested, it will be downloaded directly. So I'd suggest you use ASP.Net page as workaround.

    Basically the iFrame interfaces with Youtube and allows me to log in/authenticate and then upload/browse/edit my videos.
    Now, when clicking along to authenticate with Youtube, I am taken to a completely blanked out iFrame. :/
    Since this worked perfectly fine in earlier versions of Firefox -- is there any way to download and re-install an earlier iteration, or will the team please fix this bug?

    I have a similar issue -- using an embedded google form rendered as an iframe. It is present in the source, but displays as blank space.
    This problem seems to be confined to Mac OS X (I'm on 10.6.3), and I didn't have this problem with FF 3.6.x (not sure if I ever had 3.6.9, or what version I had prior to 3.6.10). The issue is not present in Chrome or Safari, or on 3.6.10 on Windows 7.0 I believe

  • Rendering external links inside a java portlet

    Hi,
    I have a Java portlet written which displays a page including some links that are pointing to an external page. When clicking on that link the portal environment is left, that's not what I want. I want to render the content of this link inside the portlet.
    Is there any way to do that in a Java portlet? Like a method that rewrites all URLs inside a HTML page so that when clicked they will be rendered again in the portlet and again all the URLs inside this page are rewritten?
    Thanks for any help.
    Erik

    Hi Erik,
    You can use methods in PortletRendererUtil to construct links to your resources so that you are within the Portal context.
    Another workaround to this would be to have a controller jsp for the show mode. Put this as the resource in the <showPage>....</showPage> tag in the provider.xml
    Now this JSP will forward the request to the appropriate JSP (or any other resource) based on an action.
    So in all the jsps, let the form be submitted to the controller jsp, which reads the action from request & forwards it to the right jsp. e.g. in your scenario,
    the main JSP (that contains links etc) will contain a form element which will have the following signature.
    String portletActionLink = HttpPortletRendererUtil.htmlFormActionLink(request, HttpPortletRendererUtil.PAGE_LINK);
    <form name="formName" method="POST" action="<%= portletActionLink %>" >
    <%= HttpPortletRendererUtil.htmlFormHiddenFields(request, HttpPortletRendererUtil.PAGE_LINK) %>
    <input type="hidden" name="ClickedAction" value="">
    </form>
    When any link inside the form is clicked, the "ClickedAction" hidden element will be set to the right action inside a javascript & the form will be submitted to the controller jsp (as we are still in the "Show mode")
    The controller jsp will contain the following extract,
    String action = prr.getParameter("ClickedAction");
    if ( action.equals("externalPage1") )
    //have a runtime include for ExternalPage1 jsp
    You can thus extend the controller based on number of actions you have.
    In this approach, all requests are routed through the show mode controller jsp. However, through other methods in the PortletRendererUtil class, you can rewrite a direct URL to that JSP.

    Abhinav
