Rendering More than what in the Time line

i just sent a seq to color and turned broadcast safe off before i did the corrections. This SEQ was sent via the send to color option.
i only did i primary cc on the clip. Now i hit render and it seems to be rendering more than whats in the Color TL. In fact, i would say that it is rendering from shot marker to shot marker.
SHOT MARK = when i first capture clip into fcp the first thing i do is mark all of the clip to know where certain action is. Some time i set the in/outs and pull the shots to a bin for latter use.

As Zeb is referring to, Hmmm... this is the first time (today) that I have seen a query about this extremely well known and exhaustively documented behaviour.
There are about a half a dozen of these, that catch out users of the product in its current form who make a dangerous set of assumptions about how media is treated between the editing software and the grading application. COLOR is not the only offender in this category, though -- there are serious problems associated with speed-remapped clips in many external VFX packages.
Among AVID users, time remaps are one of the biggest complaints about the Final Cut workflow, notwithstanding FC's "goldfish memory" when it comes to media paths and file names.

Hi,
I recently took a video from my Nokia 6300 which was a 15 sec file and then in Nokia Video Manager 1.7.0 the same file after copying to the PC. In NVM is shows as 17 sec file.. all the videos in NVM shows more than what is the actual size in the device.
Anybody else seen this

HT1725 I can no longer download music from itunes store. Happened when I was Downloading from songs dragged from itunes store to a playlist. I tried to downloaad more than one at a time. The download stopped. Now I can not download at all.

iPhoto is not a download and view program - it is a photo management database program that imports photos - Image Capture is a download program - Preview is a view program
The default program to download your photos is set in the preference panel of either iPhoto or image capture

In the time line, cutaways and titles are supposed to be linked on the top side of movie clips in the time line window. I don't know what I did, but now they are linked to the bottom side. How do I get them up to the top where they belong?

I'm working on a movie in FCP and using cutaways and titles in many places in the timeline. While working on a movie 2 days ago, and I don't know what I did, all the cutaways and titles are now linked to the movie clips from below rather than above. When I "grab" them and drag them up to the top-side, as soon as I "release", they go back down. Along the menu bar, I've check the "view", "modify", "clips", etc., looking for any thing that might refer to appearance of the time line. What must I do to get the cutaways and titles back on top where they belong? The audio clips remained properly-linked to the time line and play properly. The cutaways and titles can be seen but do not play.

Why are my apps taking up more space than what the appstore says they will? Like were talking a full GB more than what it should.

Why are my apps taking up more space than what the appstore says they will? Like were talking a half a GB more than what it should.
For example the app Modern Combat 4 says it should only be 1.58 GB on the appstore but when i go into settings>general>usage it says it takes up 2.0 GB.
Ive tried deleting the apps and then reinstalling them but they still take up so much more space.
This happens for multiple apps of mine. Some I have never even opened before.
I have an ipod touch (4th Gen)(32GB).
I link to a mac computer.
I have IOS version 6.1.3

Because you see the file size of the compuressed file. The file gets expanded when installed and that takes up more space. Also, data is kept in the app.

I am using iPhoto 11 mail and cannot add more than one recipient in the 'to' line. When I put a comma in, the recipient's address is deleted. If I use ' ' with more than one recipient the save grays out. Any thoughts?

I figured it out. I needed to fix some errors in my account information. It works fine now.

My device iphone6 16gb storage is showing more than what i have installed in it. I tried restoring the phone but it still holds around 900 mb of storage which is not accounted. When i connect my phone to Itunes around 868mb is shown. Help

A few days ago suddenly i got a popup window of my device storage getting full though i hardly had 4-5 apps and 500mb of photos. I have no backed up data except for the contacts which are there in the icloud account. i dont understand what is that 868 mb of data.

Any time Final Cut Express must perform more calculations than your computer can handle in real time, you need to render. Rendering is the process of creating temporary video and audio render files for segments of your sequence that Final Cut Express cannot play in real time. When you render a segment of your sequence, Final Cut Express substitutes a render file for the segment during playback. Render status bars above the ruler in the Timeline indicate which sections can play back in real time and which segments require rendering. To render just click on the sequence menu and select render selection then click both.

Hi Everyone,
when i run the page sometimes it works fine but sometimes it throws Compilation Error as below.
"Error(502,1224): file:/C:/Jdeveloper/jdevhome/jdev/myhtml/OA_HTML/fwk/t/Session_2055663493/region1.uix<Line 502, Column 1224>: XML-20124: (Fatal Error) An attribute cannot appear more than once in the same start tag."
And i delete the particular file from the path and run the page so this time it works fine.
But later after sometime i get the same error but the session number will be changed, then again i need to delete it and run.
What can be the permanent solution for this issue?

Seems like the mdl file is corrupted or was not generated correctly.
Can you try to create the mdl file again and then try the import ?
If it doesn't work then try contacting Oracle Support.

Does anyone know why the time line at the bottom disappears

I am halfway through a bloody video and can't see what i am doing now as the time line with all the video clips has disappeared.
I have reinstalled Premiere Elements 13 but still the same.

Have you tried scrolling down the timeline view?
Have you tried right-clicking on the timeline and selecting the option to remove all empty tracks so that you're not using more vertical space than you need to?

Hi, I'd like to delete more than one workbook from command line:
The following syntax, it doesn't work....but I followed the manual instructions:

where:
eul/eul@uatdb: is the db’s schema/user where the EUL is installed;
/delete "ALE_TEST_1, ALE_TEST_2": is the command to delete the workbooks, specified inside the “” (with the relative path)
/log D:\Ale\delete.log: is the command to write a log’s file named “delete.log” to track the action
The log file says:

Hi Rod
I was coming to that conclusion myself but wanted to wait until the other avenues had been exhausted first - aka making sure of the workbook names.
I checked through all of the command line documentation and read nothing which clearly indicated that only one workbook could be processed at a time, other than the fact that the syntax says workbook and not workbooks, which could be a big clue.
I think you are right though in that it has to be one at a time, which would be a pain.

Shortest path with more than one traveler and time constraints

(the problem is ok with one traveler. but when two or more come into the picture they really mess things up)
Here it is
I have a number of destinations that devides evenly up between a
number of travelers. (5 travelers with 20 destinations = 4
destinations each)
All destination can be visited by all travelers but it can ony be visited once
Each destination has to be visited and
each traveler has to visit the same amount of destinations.
The total amount of traveling has to be minimized.
Grid references have been given to work out the distance between each
destination. (the distances have not been worked out prior to the
start of the problem)
The starting point of each traveler is not at any of the destinations
and is different to each other. This point is also known and can be
used to calculate the distance to any destination.
there is an extra part of the problem (which I think I can sort out but if its of interest here it is any way): Each destination can only be
visited at a certain time of the day (ie between 7- 9 and 9-12 and
12-3 and 3-6)
A typical problem would have about 300 destinations and about 50
travelers every day. ie about 6 destination a day per traveler.
Could any one please give me an idea of how you would go about working the
routes out for each traveler that minimizes travelling distance as there is no algorithm that does this kind of routing.
I would really like some help with this one please. I have many ideas of how to do it but i really feel like it is not optimised...
I have to complete this in one week and have no AI experiance ( I would like to do this without AI or anything to do with ant colonies and or swarm optimization)

The reason that the time is in fact a simple constraint is because this is a homework problem and the kids only have a week to work on it. If it were a real world problem you you not conveniently have the number of travelers divide evenly into the number of cities.
If it were not some homework problem you would not have a constraint that reads "Oh by the way, for extra credit, you can only visit some cities at certain times during the day." It would either be a real constraint or not.
The other indication that it is a homework problem is that the student was given a week to do it. I will perhaps be going out on a limb here, but NO reasonable business gives some bozo one week to complete an assignment for which the bozo is so clueless that he has to hit the net and ask random people if they can tell him how to do it.
Had there been any need to model travel time, then velocity of travelers would have been mentioned at some point. If the traveler were actually doing anything in a city, time to load or unload the truck would have been given. And lastly, what real world problem would add a constraint that no two travelers could go to the same city. What if it is shorter to get from A to C by going through B which has already been visited. This constraint was the tip that the solution was a partition of a set of cities.
My gross simplification is merely that this is a homework problem and therfore if I haven't been told otherwise I am free to assume that a traveler moving at infinite velocity is perfectly OK. This means that my traveler waits at the door to a city until it opens, picks off that city and all other in zero time, until it bangs up against a city that opens at a later time, where it must again wait till opening time. The only thing that prevents him from completing his circuit is if an early city comes after a late city. A simple sort is all you need.
Lastly, even if you want to toss in a more complicated velocity model, it does little more than mildly complicate the sort comparison calculation so instead of making the comparison

I want to change the time line in Audition CS6 to display a 24hr time

I have a file I need to aline to a particular time in a 24hr time format. I can see that I can change it many ways to do with music and video but I use Audition for a different purpose. I need to set the time line to display something similar to a 24hr clock so I can edit a file. Is this possbile?

Ryan, the decimal format in Audition reads mm:ss.ddd where I need it to read hh:mm:ss:ms - and with a repeating 24hr period. Adobe is aware that it's products are used for more than editing design, film and music...it would be nice for them to have something more suitable.
My solution it to upload the audio file into Premier, add markers where the relevant times are (after calculating the times to a straight time line) and then export to Audition. It's a lot of work for a large number of files.
If the time line was more adaptable it would have saved me hours of extra work!

Print more than what's showing in text field?

Is there any way I can set a pdf form to print more than what is displayed in a text field? i.e., when there are more text lines than space in the text field and you need to scroll down to read it?
The only way I can think is to collate responses and export to a spreadsheet and print from there but I was wondering if there was a way to do it from the form itself (i.e., have the text automatically shrink or have it print more on the page and have the document made automatically longer.

MORE THAN 1 OF THE DETAIL FOLDERS USES NON-AGGREGATED ITEMS

What does this join configuration message mean? I am a user not an administrator but I notice that sometimes I get this message when I am trying to create reports in Discoverer.
Currently I have a report that is using a control table and a detail table. I need to link to another table (not a detail table). The join did not exist but I was able to take a transaction and join to the table with sql. I asked that this join be created in Discoverer so I can link to the other table in the report and it was created, but when I go to pull in the field I need I get this message:
Join configuration cannot be resolved. Reason: more than 1 of the detail folders uses non-aggregated items.
Can this be resolved and if so how? We seem to get this message fairly often.

I am always leery of disabling fan traps, as it can cause errors with aggregation (and by errors, I mean including values multiple times). Make sure you check the documentation (the Disco user guide) for an explanation of fan traps, and the types of problems that can occur, and the check the results of your queries (or have the data owners do it) to make sure the results are valid.
I use the fan trap warning as an indication that there is something amiss in the BA, and then try to find the problem there. Sometimes the solution is changing a join (you can check the box that states there is a 1 to 1 relationship and that will also eliminate the fan traps), other times it is creating a view or custom/complex folder to specify how the data is to be joined. Rarely is the only solution to disable fan traps (and while I am on my soapbox, I'll add that I use it as a last resort).
Sometimes removing fan traps is the correct solution, but you need to test your reports to make certain the results are valid.
