Rendering text with each individual letter outlined

I'm wondering if there's a (simple, inbuilt) way to render
text where each letter is outlined in a differnt colour.
If you don't know what I mean here is some
Sample
Text.
The Regular text is the font render in a solid colour. The
funky text is a font rendered in yellow but with a green outline
around it. Is there a way to format text programmatically like that
or will I have to render my alphabet to a bitmap and build up
strings with bitmaps if I want that effect.

You can try adding a glow filter to the textfield, setting the color to black, the Strength to a high percentage (like 1000), quality to Low, and Blur X and Y to suit your desired visual result

thats okay i found the problem. it was the text in after effects. the box around the text was to small.

Rendering text with STRIKEOUT to a printer

I'm trying to render an AttributedString using the strikeout attribute to a Windows printer. I can get all other attributes to work (underline, italic, bold, colours), but strikeout seems to be ignored. Am I missing something obvious?

Ok, I found a workaround, but it's bizarre. Does anyone recognize what's happening here, or do I just file a bug report?

Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because this page contains renderable text

I have a pdf file, which was OCRed by some other software, I am not satisfied with its accuracy, and would like to run adobe acrobat to OCR it again.
But Adobe says "Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because this page contains renderable text" for each page of the file.
How can I do to re-OCR the file? Thanks!

I am having a similar problem and tried your suggestion but I still get the same message. Any other thoughts or fixes? The difference in my file is I used to be able to edit the text in the PDF file. For the last few months I am no longer able to edit this file.

Can I send a text to a "group" contact without selecting each individual member? I have a group formed in my contacts, but I still have to select each member in that group to send a text or email from my phone.

There are apps that allow you to address sms messages to groups (such as Speed Names: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/speed-names-contacts-groups/id285124918?mt=8), but not iMessages. Perhaps this will change with a future iOS update.
The only point of having them at the moment is to allow you to limit the view to only contacts belonging to a group, so that you can more easily add the individual members of the group. But at the present time, you still have to add them individually.

Hi. The two user tips both describe a sequence of steps that should get your library from the point where it threatens to wipe data from your device to where it is syncing normally, while recovering as much information as possible. It may still be necessary to wipe and reload the device but this should only take place once all the data that can be recovered has been recovered.
Doing step 1 of 8 and then complaining things aren't the way you want them to be yet strikes me as premature...
Since you appear to have all your media content, and we are discussing an iPod classic, not an iOS device, the main worries are already taken care of. What's left is ratings, playcounts, playlist membership and checked status. Since your device holds only part of your library at best you could only recover the missing data for the content that is on the device using third party tools.
Recreating the previous checked/unchecked status of every track in your library from where you are now may not be that easy. Syncing with selected playlists has many advantages, one of which would have been that you would have a named playlist that could have been retrieved by 3rd party software if you had used this method.
You haven't explained what caused your problem in the first place, but if you have a Previous iTunes Libraries folder holding old copies of your iTunes database (generated with each iTunes update) then it would be possible to restore the most recent of these and then update the library with any changes in your media folder.
BTW Apple doesn't offer free support for this kind of issue with iTunes.

No, Lightroom catalogs cannot be on a networked (shared) drive, and they do not support simultaneous multi-user access

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
Start up in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Restart as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
If you still have problems, then from the Font Book menu bar, select
File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.

Safari rendering default text with condensed font?

Has anyone else experienced this in the last few days?
All of a sudden Safari is rendering default text with a different font, a light, condensed one.
The side-by-side shows the Wordpress Admin menu on my Macbook & on my iMac.
The Macbook is still rendering as always, the iMac now has this new font.
Aside from within the Wordpress Admin area, I'm seeing the same thing in various other places you'd expect to see a default font, for default text.
It's not the end of the world but considering I haven't done anything to cause the change I'm concerned it's something malicious causing it,
any insights anyone?

And check for duplicate fonts.
Open the Font Book in your Applications folder.
From the Font Book menu bar click Edit > Look for Enabled Duplicates

Try Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases. With luck it should be OK if you turn it on again.

Rendering PDF with Windows.Data.Pdf and allowing text selection

Hi there,
I need to render a PDF and allow the user to select text on the PDF.
As I see, Windows.Data.Pdf does not support more than returning an image.
Even so, how can I achieve my goal? The Windows 8 app "Reader" has this capability but I don't understand how it works.
BTW: I have tested other renderers but they have rendering issues with some complex PDF content (complex: RTL).

Unfortunately, the built-in PDF feature has not provided select text on the PDF. You can send your request on UserVoice to ask public that API.

Alert - fire email notif. with information specific to each individual

I would like to know if a single alert can fire email to different users with information specific to each individual in the exeption list.
We might cosider the below mentioned exception list:
Column1 | Column2
Excpt1     | Emp_1_Email
Excpt2     | Emp_1_Email
Excpt3     | Emp_2_Email
Excpt4     | Emp_2_Email
Excpt5     | Emp_3_Email
Excpt6     | Emp_3_Email
In the above case, there are 2 exceptions against Emp_1, Emp_2 and Emp_3. I would like to know if we can develop a SINGLE alert which can fire email to Emp_1, Emp_2 and Emp_3 with exception information specifically against them. Or any other workaround???

HI,
While defining the information-braodcasting settings (i.e. where you mention the report name, email ID of the recipent), there is an another option where you can put restrictions.
In your case you will have to create number of settings based on the number of users you have. For e.g.
create setting
1. where you have to create restricion on sapusername = 10 and email id of sapusername
2. where you have to create restricion on sapusername =11 and email id of this sapusername
Hope this will work, make sure to maintain email IDs in user profile of each user.
