Rendering video to different ui ?

I m trying to bring video control into a framework .. The native classes for ui build of that framework is different from pure Java AWT or Swing.. the framework as such doesnt support AWT or Swing.. Yet it runs on JRE and it has its own UI module.. But the getVisualComponent() method of player class returns ony java.awt.Component ... this cannot be added to my framework frame unlike v add on a AWT Frame.. When i went through the JMF source code of that getVisualComponent() method it is only declared and not defined as Player is a interface. I couldnt trace the code further as it was very complex due to hundreds of api classes related to one another.. Is there a method to solve this problem?

You can create your own renderer.
jobs4jmf provides two one for swing and one for jogl.
You create and register your renderer, then it will get called with the buffer for the video. JMF provides helpers to convert to a BufferedImage, from there you can put it on your other UI (assuming it supports BufferedImages, if not you'll have to convert the buffer to your UI's image format).

3D camera position in rendered video different to camera position in timeline preview

Hi all,
I'm trying out the 3D and animation features of Photoshop for the first time. The model is a free 3DS model. Because After Effects doesn't support importing this format, I'm animating it in Photoshop against a 'green screen' that I will then chroma key out in After Effects.
The problem is that the rendered video output's viewport / camera position doesn't match that in the timeline preview in Photoshop.
In the screenshots below, I've overlaid the rendered video over the 3D workspace. In the first image, the video and timeline preview are identical. However, from the second image onwards, they diverge. (The semitransparent cow is the video overlay.)
The first time I simply clicked on 'default camera' before rendering. The second time, I added a 3D camera position keyframe to the 3D layer and set it to the default camera. The result was the same both times.
I would be grateful for any help with making the rendered video match the timeline preview.

This was resolved by chatting with Adobe Support.
It turned out to be a problem with corrupted preference files in %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC .
Moving this folder to the desktop solved the issue

Rendered video very low quality

My camera shoots in MTS format. I converted the file to mp4 and edited it. I then imported that footage into After Effects and when I tried to render the video it was very low quality. I made sure the composition settings and render settings matched that of my video. I tried saving it as H.264, mov, avi, m4v, and mpeg2 non of which were good enough quality to use. The avi format came close in quality for the video but everything seemed to move in slow motion. The audio played perfectly though. I also tried rendering video directly from the MTS file and it still didn't work.
Is there a specific way I should convert or encode the file? I tried some different settings within Adobe Media Encoder but when I brought the file into AE and tried to render I got the same issues of it being low quality.
This is for a client so it's very important that I get the needed effects added to this video. Thanks in advance for any help!

I understand how After Effects rendering works and different file types. I just wanted to try rendering in different formats just make sure I hadn't missed something. I figured something out that came close to the quality I need so I guess it will have to work.
My original MTS file is 1920 x 1080 and 29 fps.
I rendered it with these settings originally
NTSC, 1920 x 1080
29.9 fps
Bitrate CBR 30 Mbps
The file came out choppy and noticeably lower quality.
The last time I rendered it with these settings:
NTSC, 1280 x 720,
59.94 fps
Bitrate CBR 20 MBps
The quality was much much better. It still had a little distortion with a lot of movement but it was much more bearable so I guess that's what I'm going with. If anyone knows of any better settings it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Big color discrepancy when rendering video

I'm editing video on a Mac using PS CC. My Multisync PA242 monitor is calibrated. When I open the .MOV files for editing I select sRGB for color managing. I'm rendering out to a H.264 MP4 file and I've checked "color manage" in the export video dialogue. My rendered video is hugely undersaturated. My only "work around" is to OVER saturated before performing the export render. After much research, I can find no advice addressing this issue.

I am afraid this is not going to be a big help but you are not alone. I have just started shooting video after years of still photography. I have a full understanding of colour management and my still workflow is consistent from end to end. My impression of video is that most video editing applications do not colour manage at all. The professionals use expensive suites to edit in which separate calibrated monitors (to something called REC709 which is close to sRGB) are used to display the output but the User Interface display where all the work is done is not colour managed. This is probably all right if you do all your work on an sRGB monitor but if you have a calibrated wide gamut monitor like many stills photographers then you are in trouble. I was under the impression that the Video module in Photoshop CC (and CS6) is properly colour managed as we understand it and should assume sRGB for untagged video clips but I could be wrong.
The other big problem is that video "colourists" speak a different language from still photographers.

AE overwrites existing rendered video?

I am struggling to keep existing rendered video in it's original condition. AE is somehow overwriteing my (rendered) video files as I make changes to new videos... Is this even possible? and how can I keep this from ever happening again? Lost hours and hours of roto-brush work... Please help.

Sorry, I guess I was just a little brief in my description. Let me try to get into a little more detail. I have 2 projects I am working on for a video game website. The first is an advertisement introduction video, the second is a seperate advertisement video. In the first video, I used a 10 minute clip that I intend on using for both projects. I spent some time roto-scoping out part of the video, to use in the first Ad. It came out exactly how I wanted it, rendered the file out as Intro_Short.mov. I moved on to the second Ad video and used this same clip again, only a different time frame in the clip. I spent hours roto-scoping out a different aspect of the clip. Once I completed the 2nd Ad, I rendered it out as Ad_True_Color.mov. Apparently, as I made changes to the new video, my old videos using that same footage, have been overwritten to the new roto-brush use. I have made numerous drafts and copies of each, and Ae is somehow overwriting the previously rendered files. I am very confused, and wish it were as simple as saving two files by the same name. Thank You very much for your time. I appreciate it alot. I think this is gonna make me lose my mind.

Unable to watch rendered video

I can watch video in real time preview on out monitor but unable to watch rendered video. It is just like a unsynchronized video. What may be the cause?

Need help saving a rendered video in Premiere Elements 13...

I have a rendered video that I am ready to save to my computer. The last Premiere Elements program I had was 1.0 lol. In 1.0, I would select to export the video as .avi and use that to burn to a dvd. In Premiere Elements 13, "export" is grayed out. What it looks like I need to do now is Publish the rendered video, but I don't know what to select to save it to my computer for future burning to a Blue Ray Disc. I plan on using Nero to burn the video to BD. Any help would be appreciated.

File Menu/Export/Movie is last seen in Premiere Elements 7. Now File Menu/Export/Title remains.
Your export opportunities for Premiere Elements 13/13.1 are in the Publish+Share area of the program. Have you updated 13 to 13.1 yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Updates? If not, consider doing so.
What are the properties of your source media on the Timeline that is destined for Nero for your burn to Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc?
Have you considered taking your Timeline directly to Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc in Premiere Elements 13/13.1 using Publish+Share/Disc/Blu-ray?
Depending on your reply to the above, you could explore for your file....

But what specifically are you entering in the Save In: field of the dialog that includes the Save button to initiate the export process.
Are you saving it as a file to the Desktop or to a specific folder on the Desktop? Have you given the export a distinctive file name?
The screenshot shows the Save In: to the Desktop as a file.
I have no idea of your background with the program, so I ask these questions so as to take nothing for granted.
If the computer Desktop is crowded, as mine often is, it is easy to have difficulty spotting a file save to the Desktop.

Rendering video issue, NEED HELP BAD

I downloaded after effects CS4 and my composition settings is 600x400, square pixels, 29.97fps.
I rendered the video with these settings:
Photo JPEG
Million Colors
29.97 FPS
BEST quality
well the rendered video keeps on skipping as soon as it hits the first keyframe, it starts to skip throughout the whole video. I tried testing that in cs3 using the exact settings and it played smoothly.
Is it the FPS causing it to skip?

What are you saying by "skipping"? During playback in QT or when re-importing? In both cases you would only see discrete frames which should not flicker/ jump/ skip. Only RAM previews occasionally would, due to the timebase correction and possible mixing of framerates in combination with your screen refresh. If you are within AE, you may wish to check your OpenGL settings. For QT player the results should be identical. The only thing I can think of otherwise, is the frames not being stored correctly in the first place, which usually is a matter of your system choking when using multiprocessing, so turn it off or adjust the settings...

Adding video in different quality into iTunes library

I have the problem with importing my video in different quality (for iPhone 3GS, Full HD and so on) into my iTunes Library.
Before upgrade of my mac pro 1.1 to Lion 10.7.5. from Snow Leo I was able to drag the whole folder with video files in different quality onto the Itunes windows and iTunes added all formats (M4V with different quality) and assigned it with single movie. Now Itunes addes only one file to its library. So I have to choose in which quality to add file, because it is impossible to add the same file in other quality. It is possible to back this feature back in present configuration?
Lion 10.7.5 (it is impossible to upgrade to Mountain Lion)

I've had a problem with previewing rendered video files

so when I render video files in fce, the video usually renders fine, but on the canvas the video just replays the first and last frame of the rendered video, making it look like a jumbled mess. but, when I export it as a quicktime file it runs just fine, I think the problem is in my canvas and I don't know how to fix it.
Also I recently upgraded my system from 2gb of ram to 4gb of ram, can fce recognise this or do I need to do something fancy

Hello, Justin, and welcome to the forum.
Where is the video coming from and how are you getting it into FCE? Almost always, your best bet is to convert your media into a format with which FCE works natively before you bring it into the program. If you do that, rendering and lots of other issues are minimized.

Flash Builder embed video in different stages

I have 10 videos and want to display them in the event of each button corresponding to a different stage.
This code works in the main application but not in the stages of the site, because the functions and variables are global and can not change the url of the video to a video display differently at each stage.

Cutting up a video into different events using iMovie

I have just imported a large homemade video into iMovie which is just one file but contains footage taken from various holidays I have been on. Is there a way to separate the video into different events under the Event Library? I seem to be having trouble working out how to do it.

It is possible in the event library, but I would suggest that you do it in an app called MPEG Streamclip. It will be much faster and easier to do it using MPEG Streamclip.

Drag your large file into MPEG Streamclip.
Now, set your playhead to the beginning of the first event, and type i for in point. move the playhead to the end of this clips, and type o for out point. Then, use FILE/EXPORT TO QUICKTIME. Choose Apple Intermediate Codec as your codec. (Note: if your original clips are in DV, you may wish to stick with DV. Otherwise use Apple Intermediate Codec, and don't change any of the settings. Give it a name and location. You can import this into an iMovie Event using FILE/IMPORT MOVIE in iMovie.
Repeat this until you have all the clips you need.

After rendering, video track turns a solid green?

Using FCE 3.5, after rendering video, the audio track works, but the video track is all just a solid green frame. No video whatesover, only green. Any ideas on how to fix this??? Thanks so much.

First, what effect(s) are you applying? Are there settings in the effect that might be turning the video green? Are you trying to chroma key a green screen?
Also, details help. Exactly what model Mac are you using? What version of OS X? What are your sequence settings? What is the source of the video clip? Clip properties? Any other effects you are using on the same clip(s)?
