Hi,
I am using oracle 10gR1 with developer 6i (Report Builder & Form Builder).I am facing a problem when a report is open and i attemp to genrate the report output to an PDF it return an error REP-0999.I am facing this problem only in one specified user for example (603398).All other user can open report and can genrate in pdf easily.
Please suggest me what the reason is?

Error REP-0999 using Repository Reports

Hello !
I have problems with Repository Reports tool from Oracle Designer 6i. I want to save a previewed reports in RTF format, but when I use the command "generate to file" of the previewer, I get an error REP-0999 (unimplemented error with no more explanations). Im using Oracle Designer 6i in version 6.5.52.1.0 and Repository Reports in version 6.5.52.2.0.
Maybe I dont have a requested module, where can I get it ? can anyone help ?

Hi Sylvain,
I'm having similar problem. When I'm trying to run any of the Repository report it is moaning saying REP-0736 There are uncompiled program units. After compiling thry Report builder I get ORA-600 error but not able to successfully run any report. Wonder why ?
I'm having same versions as yours.

My problem occurs when I try to generate a previewed report to a RTF file. At the same time, the "Report Builder" menu item from the "run" menu is disabled. Maybe I have to install Oracle Reports ? should I download it from Oracle web site ?

URGENT : REP-0999 Unimplemented error

I have a problem in reports
when i generate the report to another format (for example PDF or HTML) using the generate option in the menu of report output from an application..i get an error
"REP-0999 unimplemented error"
but if i generate the report from report builder ..it is generated successfully
my report builder version is 6.0.8.8.3
and form builder version is 6.0.8.11.3
I am using RUN_PRODUCT method to call the report from FORM SIDE
I request Oracle Report Team to respond me and provide with a solution..wether i have to use some other method to call my report or some settings are required.
If any body knows please tell me in detail.

The first thing to do is to upgrade Reports to the latest version.
You may also want to try using RUN_REPORTS_OBJECT method to call Reports from Forms.

REP-0999 Error

Hi,
I am getting REP-0999 error when i am generating PDF form File>>Generate to file>>PDF.
Please tell me is its cause and solution?

Actually we have a form from which a report is called. We have three options in the form 1) Screen 2) File 3) PDF
When user generate the PDF from the PDF option, the PDF is saved ate one location.
When user generate the File, it also goes fine.
when user generate the Report through Screen, the report generated fine, but user wants to generate the PDF from the Screen option. By FILE>>Generate a file>> PDF then he getting this error.

i have developed a number of complex reports with several queries and formula objects, all running successfully and converting to other formats accuratelly.
i have report of Accounts Receivables, a complex one, running near about 10 queries and 7 formula column database functions to calculate values for each row return, this report works accuratelly and converts to other formats easily but takes full 60 to 70 seconds to run the report.
management asked me to enhance the performace of this report,
i had worked out and reduce the number of queries and formula columsn to one single query with 5 nested(union queries) queries. execution times reduces to 3 to 5 seconds with accuracy.
Report displays correctelly but give an error "Rep-0999 Unimplemented Error" whenver we converts it to pdf or other sources.
While other complex reports were still converting successfully.
Help me out of this problem,.... im hands up at this situation.

It really works, you idea and understanding is 100% accurate,
i have lexical variable, to whom i assign two values either "<> 0" or "is not null",
i had omitted the space from "<> 0" and make it "<>0", now it works properly,
only one confussion left, if i pass "is#not#null" from form, how can i can convert it on report to "is not null",

REP-0999 Unimplemented Error

When using Forms and Reports v 6.0.8.11.3 and trying to 'Generate' report output from the previewer to a RTF file, we get the above error.
Can anyone offer any ideas? The documentation is not much help.

Interestingly enough, we've discovered that users with older machines do not experience this error. Users with newer desktops almost universally get this error.
This suggests to me that we have some kind of driver problem with the newer releases.
I've recommended to my customer that we upgrade our Oracle versions across the board, but now I'm not so sure that this is good advice.
What do you think?

BTW, one of our Forms programs seems to work on all platforms. This really has me befuddled.

If you have not set desformat you will get a file format determined by the driver of your default printer (even though you are not printing !). The file extension always seems to be .eps regardless of whether it is actually an eps (postscript) file.
You can get other formats eg. pdf by setting desformat.
If you do want to work with eps files you can download 'Ghostscript and GSView' which can display and convert them.

regarding the 1st point there is one default printer attached to my m/c.but still the same error is coming. is it bcoz v r using command line arguments.but there should not be any link how u r calling the reopt.do v need to to pass any argument for doing this operations.my generate to file menu is enabled any way.pls help me to solve this problem.

I am not sure what do you want to convey here - "It is working with Reports builder and not working with menu". From Report builder, only way to generate the otput to file is to go through menu, there are no other shortcut or toolbar icon present. Do you want to say, it works when you run to previewer but is failing when you generate to a file. To give you a hint:
1. Does the problem exist with only this report or with all the reports?
2. If the problem is with all the reports, then there is a setup problem.
3. Try running PRINTER DRIVER TEST against your printer, to check it is ok?
4. Check that the login under which you are trying to run the report, has the priviledge to print with this default printer.
5. Try changing the printer driver?
If this does not solve the problem, please contact Oracle support to resolve this issue.

Error in exporting report

Report Builder 6.0.8.8.3
I get the REP-0999 Unimplemented error when i try to Export a file into any format from the File->Generate to File option during Runtime. But the same works from the Design time. any help pls

6.0.8.8.3 is the base release of 6i w/o any patches if i am not mistaken and is over 3 years old. i would strongly suggest you apply the latest patch. it is most likely that your problem has been fixed by one of the patch sets.

Set_report_object_property

I have included a rdf file as a part of a form. now I am trying to call that report . but before doing so I have to set certain user defined parameters for that report. I basically have two user defined parameters . so I am using the set_report_object_parameter to set the property for REPORT_OTHER.
My question is how do you set this property for more than one user_defined parameter to that report.This is the help I get in the form builder

I am currently using that. But somehow that seems to give me REP 0999 error when I am using generate to file delimited or html option. Now this is happening when I have break groups in my report, oterwise it is working fine.
Any help regarding this

Report Generate to File PDF, HTML,Excel and Others Format

Dear Experts,
I am using Oracle 9i and Developer 6i. How I convert report in PDF, HTML, Excel and others format after generating the report. When i try to generate, then giving the following error message:
REP-0999: Unimplemented Error.
How can I solve it, Please help me.

Do the column headings display ok but the data does not?
If so it may be related to the font size. i.e. the whole report may not fit on the page when scaled for pdf output.

Generate HTML from Report 6i

Hi everyone,
I am using Report 6i and in some of my reports while I want to generate in Html. It shows error like "Ora -0999 Implementation Error". Plz let me know how cani solve this problem. Surprizingly some reports perfectly works and can generate to HTML without any problem.
Also Plz let me know if it is possible to export all report contents into Excel worksheet without writing any code from PL/ SQL and directly from report runtime.

I get the following error message: "Invalid Liability Liability account is invalid". I've tried both populating the ACCTS_PAY_CODE_COMBINATION_ID field and leaving it null. Some googling also said mentioned that particular error message may be misleading.
And yes, I'm passing the correct code from the lookup_type. The only difference is that for the one that works, I'm using an Oracle seeded source lookup. However, in the lookups screen I can't see where there are any special configuration.
I should also mention that the invoices will be imported from an external system, and there will be no PO attached to the invoice. I'm not sure if this info is relevent though.
I've done some researching and thinking and maybe there is some kind of profile option I need to set but I haven't been able to find it yet.
Also, I can't find the AP_ERRORS_GT table or any other closely named ones.

Rep-1401: formula name : Fatal Pl/SQL error occured

Hi,
I am using report builder 6.0 and recently came across a error while running the report. Rep-1401:<formula name> : Fatal Pl/SQL error occured.
I created a formula column in the report. In that i have three local variable.
f_val number := 0;
s_val number := 0;
t_val number := 0;
t_val := f_val/s_val ; --> this gives the above fatal error.
t_val := (f_val + 1)/s_val; --> this gives the above fatal error
t_val := f_val/(s_val + 1); ---> no error
if i change the value of s_val
s_val := 1;
t_val := f_val/(s_val - 1) ; ----> this gives the above fatal error.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem or is it report builder bug.
Please help me, as i desperately need help.

I used nvl too, but the same error occurred.
For the information in my question I by mistake typed
t_val := (f_val + 1)/s_val; --> this gives the above fatal error.
but when the value of f_val = zero and s_val is zero why it gives fatal error when i divide, i used nvl on both the variable while dividing but still got the same error.
but if s_val is greater than zero then no error occurs.
please help me, I feel it is a bug.
