Repicating only selected tables in 10g

Hi All,
We running Oracle 10g (Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.3.0 ) and we want to replicate only selected tables from db A to db B. Is this possible in 10g? Any pointers to a document is greatly appreciated.

This is an ambiguous question but I will give 2 answers for 2 interpretations
1 In the Outline window, right-click the rowset in the Session bean (or whatever bean you put the rowset in, by default it is the session bean). In the top pane, select or clear the checkboxes to determine which columns are obtained by the query.
2 Right click the Table component and choose Table Layout, move the columns you don't want to the left panel

How to set column widths in tables for selected table only, not globally throughout document?

I've been utilizing the below script (thank you so much Ramkumar. P!) to set column widths throughout a sizable InDesign book with tables on every page and it is truly a time saver. At this point in time, I have three versions of it because there are different column widths throughout the book. Is it possible to augment the script to run only on a selected text frame (containing a table)? If so, would someone be kind enough to share the augmented script with me? I've been trying to figure out this seemingly simple change through trial and error with no success as yet. I realize this is a totally newbie request and I'm entirely at the mercy of the kindness of the Javascript gods that contribute within this forum. Seeing that in a different post related to this script, one such guru responded to a request as simple as "Where do I put the scripts in InDesign" gave me enough courage to ask for some help! Thank you in advance to anyone willing to provide a solution.

Hello all
I have the same problem in that I'm not a scripting person, but was able to get the above script working without problem, and it does set irregular table column widths perfectly, so thanks to Ramkumar. P for that.
BUT, it changes the column width for ALL tables in the document, whereas I would like to just target the selected table.
Any ideas as to how I might amend this script to achieve this?

How to display only selected columns in the table on the tableview

Hi All,
I am displaying in the below tableview the data from the SFLIGHTS tables in the tableview using flow logic. It displays all the columns in the database table. How can I set in the code to display only selected columns and not all columns.
Also, in these columns displayed I want to make the key columns of SFLIGHT as non editable and the rest of the columns in SFLIGHT editiable. Can you please kindly share the code to implement this.

Only Dimension Table Values in Combo Box or Drill Down Selections

Hi All,
How to get only Dimension Table Values instead of Master Data Values in Combo Box or Drill Down Box list of values?
I am getting all the values in 0CALMONTH Combo Box where i need only infoproviders values.
In Entry List tab of Combo Box when i select 0CALMONTH its reading from its Master Data.Is there any option how there is Dimension table in Value help.
In Query, infoobject levels the filter values selection is set as infoprovider only.
Can anyone please let me know how to get only dimension table values when we use combo box.

Hi
Create one BI query with only one object in the output of the query. (In your case 0CALMONTH)
So now if when you run the query it will show values which are there in infoprovider. THen drag one form from output of this query in vc & create dropdown list on this.

a data into the table.
If it is possible, I even the LOCK would like in such a way to configure the fact that the entry of the user arrives into the buffer and if the table is unlocked, all lines from the Buffer again into the table.

Afterwards I start another session:

Make Select rows and columns as read only in Table Control

I would like to know how to make certain cells in a Table Control as display only.
Table control should look like-(Those in bold are read only or in display mode)
Name1 Idno1 Address1
Name2 Idno2 Address2

Name4 Idno4 Address4
(Blank row to enter name idno and address)
(Blank row to enter name idno and address)
(Blank row to enter name idno and address)
My table control should display all the above fields the way it is above of which first two colums and 4 rows should be read only,and the rest of the empty rows in the TC should be in change mode.i.e it must have provision to add new rows but not change the first two columns of existing rows.
In short I am looking at solution to hide particular no of rows and columns and not the entire column.

In the PBO of the table control loop. just write these statements
NAME and IDNO considering the fields on the screen.
and WA_TAB is the table work area being passed to the table control to display the rows.
if not WA_TAB-NAME is initial and not WA_TAB-IDNO is initial.
loop at screen.
if screen-name = 'NAME' or
 screen-name = 'IDNO'.
screen-input = 0.
modify screen.
endif.
endloop.
endif.
which means that the fields are disabled only if NAME and IDNO are not initial.

Read only af:table first row select and focus on form load

I use a read only af:table in my page. When my page loads and I click on my table, then I can use up / down arrow keys to navigate in my table's rows. But if I don't click on the table, I can't navigate in my table's rpws.
What can do in my page to give the first focus to my table's first row and navigate in my rows without using mouse clicks....
findElementById function in javascript does not work in jdeveloper 11...

Hi,
actually findElementById does work, but you should use the ADF client side framework for this. Add a clientListener to the component that intercepts the keyboard usage and make it callin the next record on the table.
I'll take a note for a how-to to put on my blog as I don't have the code ready. However, its possible this way

Db link to select only one table

Dear all,
I want to create a DB link in my local DB to access only one table in the remote DB .
User a in local DB
User y in remote DB ..Y has got 200 tables..
Can I create a DB link in my local DB as user a and access only one table in remote DB (Y schema)
Is this possible ?

Regarding export and import there are 2 roles
EXP_FULL_DATABASE
IMP_FULL_DATABASE
If you have these two priviledges, you can do Export or Import any tables under your schema,if you do not have these priviledges you can not do export or import of any tables under your schema.
This is wrong.
Whoever having CREATE SESSION privilege can export/import their schema objects. The EXP_FULL_DATABASE and IMP_FULL_DATABASE privileges required only when you intended to perform export/import of other schema objects.

Is there a way to take export dump with only selected objects

I want to take a partial export dump containing only few objects of a particular schema in Oracle 10g DB.
I am trying to use "exp" utility for this.
The parfile used for this is as follows:
FILE=CSG_Objects.dmp
FULL=n
ROWS=y
COMPRESS=y
INDEXES=y
TRIGGERS=y
CONSTRAINTS=y
LOG=export_CSG_Objects.log
TABLES=table1,table2,table3...
With this I can only export tables but not other objects like views, procedures, sequences etc.
If I try to use other object name in TABLES list, I get errors.
Is there any way I could export other "selected" objects also?

There are 4 modes in exp and expdp. You can specify
full=y which will get all objects in the database
schemas = list which will get alll of the objects in these schemas
tables = list which get all of the tables in your list plus all of the objects dependent
on these tables
tablespaces=list which finds all fo the tables in those tablespaces and then does a table mode
export for the table list, including dependent objects.
Other than excluding/included a few objects, original exp does not have a way to specifically include certain objects. This was one of the enhancements to datapump expdp/impdp.
If you are running 10.1 or later, you can use datapump export/import. Now, you can do a table mode export and put in an include/exclude list.
include=tables,grants,table_statistics
or
exclude grants, index_statistics
If you let us know what you are trying to include or exclude, it would be easier to come up with a solution.

Crystal 2008 - Selected table names are blank or end in 1

I am creating a new report in Crystal 2008. I am connecting to a database using ODBC. The tables show up correctly in the available tables column of the Database Expert. Once I select a table the table shows up in the selected tables list as an icon only - no name or as an icon with a table name ending in 1. The table name that ends in 1 is not a duplicate.
Furthermore, in the field explorer the fields all show but I can not add any to the report.
Any ideas, this just started happening this week.

Which database you are reporting off?
You can try following workaround and create indirect ODBC connection.
Create a report using OLEDB connection and select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC drivers and then create a report .
This will point to your existing ODBC connection through OLEDB provider.
For the tables name that are blank do you have hyphen '-' in their names?
As advised by Jayendra you can try with Service Pack 1for Crysatl Reports 2008.

My problem is that when the report is executed the BR_BELNR only delete one document of the all the inputs in the selection criteria from the loop. if I add the statement [ VIA SELECTION-SCREEN] in the SUBMIT if open the multiple selection criteria in the screen I can check that all the documents are set in it from the ABAP code in the loop from it I just need to push F8 to copy them and run the program processing all the documents normally .
Can some one help me with this? is there a way to execute the transaction BY the SUBMIT with the multiple selection criteria for the Document Number working well?

How to select a row in a single-select table view?

Hello folks,
I have a table view with a 'details' button. When a row is selected and 'details' is pressed, the table view disappears and a form view is displayed (like the toggle button in PCUI). I have implemented this using a navigation link. When I press 'cancel' in the form view, another navigation link takes the user back to the table view.
My problem is, when the table view reappears, there is no row selected (the row that was selected previously, is de-selected). How do I make sure that the row remains selected?
I tried using the collection_wrapper->mark() method in the inbound plug of the table view, but it works only for multi-select table.

I had already tried using MARK ( iv_index = lv_index ), but it did not work because the first statement in the MARK method is
check ME->MULTI_SELECT = ABAP_TRUE.
Mine is a single-select table. So, using the MARK of the iterator object, with either the IV_BO or the IV_INDEX parameter also does not work. Is there any other way for a table with single row selection?

Printer selection in Forms 10g

I am looking for a suggestion, to realize a printer selection in Forms 10g.
For a migration I have to replace the command
win_api_dialog.select_printer with something similar.
Some threads suggest to implement a java class.

I need an implementation based on JDK 1.3.
Inside of the JDK 1.3 exist only a simple printer dialog.

Probably exist the option to use the C-API of WebUtil. The C-API could be used to start a printer dialog of a dll. I like to avoid this option, but if you an example for that option, I appreciate to see an example for that.

I invest some more time on that topic, but did not found a solution to display a printer selection on the client.
The only thing that i found in forum was that you can read the standard printer out the registry. But I would need all local installed printers.
