After spending $200 on the wrong display card replacement...
Is there a place where a sole can go to find out what replacement parts are compatible with all the different versions of G5s?

I spent the weekend researching, based on your comments. And you are right, there are little choices. For me anyway. I have the first dual processor that came out (system profiler says "model: powermac7,2" - whatever that means).
There are no PCI-X cards and 2 AGP cards that would be an upgrade from the fried ATI 9800 I had.
Besides the ATI X800, I saw on Apple's site they still say the GeForce 6800 Ultra is needed for Dual link (will be needing) even tho it is discontinued and can't find anywhere. This card appealed to me because it does not have the ADC connector which I don't need.
So I guess I will get the ATI X800 and a $100 ADC converter so I can run 2 DVI monitors. So much for the G5s being "built for expandability".
Am I missing anything?

I have insurance on my iPhone 4 with the extended warranty. For the last few days, I've been having non-stop problems with the phone. Freezing, closing apps when it wants to, restarting itself. I called Verizon customer support and explained the problem. She tried to do basic troubleshooting on my phone but I had to stop the process because I wasn't near a Wi-Fi to do a hard reset after the basic troubleshooting. Which wasn't a problem.
So today my home button stopped working completely. I had to turn off the phone and turn it back on after opening an application because I couldn't do anything with it. So I called Verizon to see about more troubleshooting and the girl (who was very nice btw) helped me do a hard reset. The home button started working, but now has stopped working again.
The thing with the warranty on the phone.. when I bought the phone from someone, I was asked if I wanted insurance on the phone when I activated it. I said yes. So the insurance was added. Now that something is wrong with my phone, I am being told that the warranty should have never been added because I didn't get the phone actually from Verizon. I have been paying for insurance each month as long as I have had the phone. If not almost a year, maybe a little over a year? I'm not sure how long I have had the phone. So I have insurance on the phone right now.. and I cannot get my phone replaced. I do not work for Verizon, so if I am asked if I want insurance and I say yes, I expect and assume it's covered incase something goes wrong. Which is the point of having insurance. Now, it's a different story? I am confused and a little upset with the whole situation. The only thing the Verizon rep today told me was that she could refund me three months of charges on the insurance and get it removed for me. I did not agree to that and I didn't want the insurance removed as of right now until I get this fixed. I told her that it wasn't about the money for the insurance.
I am hoping someone with Verizon on here can help me with my phone situation because apparently it's something with software. Please help!I would think that at the very LEAST you would be eligible for a COMPLETE refund of ALL charges for insurance paid thru Verizon! They were charging you for something you were ineligible for! Verizon has a record of whether or not you purchased the phone from them - otherwise how could they deny the claim!
It very sad to see how customer service and customer satisfaction has been lost here ... ! -
I just bought my iphone5 last march 27, but then after a few weeks I noticed that there is something loose inside of it. So I went to Globe Philippines, a telecommunications company in the Philippines and one of the authorize distributor of iPhones here ib the country, but instead of just replacing my defective phone, the advised me to wait for 3 to 4 weeks for them to be able to replace it because the replacement unit will be coming from Apple Singapore. I said ok then, but It's already a month now, still there is no feedback regarding the status of my phone. PLEASE HELP ME! Apple Singapore, Im begging you to replace my phone.
All support for your iPhone in the Philippines is handled by Globe, so you need to continue to work with them on the issue. No one here can help you directly with this issue, nor is there any way you can yourself contact the repair depot in Singapore (if indeed that's where it is). You can, however, try calling Apple Support in the Philippines at 1-800-1441-0234, ask to speak with someone in Customer Relations, and ask if there's anything they can do to help expedite the process.

Lenovo y510p Replacement Charger - Please HELP
I have a problem, a big one. 4 months ago, my Lenovo y510p's charger conked off. I have been looking for the 120W replacement charger for 4 months. I called Lenovo, visited service centers, it has been a torture. My Rs. 80,000 worth laptop lies gathering dust. I can neither use it, nor sell it, nor get the data off from it (it only has enough charge to last 15 mins, so I've kept it switched off all these months). I have tried to contact Lenovo on social media for the last 2 months (you will find my post on the Lenovo India Facebook page every 2 weeks. Same story repeat, they keep saying we are going to contact you shortly with a solution and they disappear. Little did I know I would have to endure so much to get a simple charger replacement for a 2014 top end spec laptop from a company as big as Lenovo.
I am at my wits end. I don't know what to do. I'm desperate. Please, help me get a 120w replacement charger for my laptop.

HELP.I have dealt with MKCL and found them to be very helpful and efficient, not knowing which system you should be receiving as a replacement doesn't help me advise; due to the change to the **30 systems some "older" systems may be in short supply. That said we had an instance where the system to be replaced was no longer available and so they sent an even better one took a couple of days longer than originally expected, but they kept us informed.
The new system will have it's own warranty, if you purchased a servicepack you could ask MKCL to get it transferred to the new system, but before they can do anything they need to receive the new system from Lenovo because they don't get the s/n in advance. Alternatively they may ask you to e-mail another department with the new systems details and your DOA call number.

Hard Drive died and Apple replaced. Please help me reinstall.
My hard drive failed in my G5, and it was replaced by Apple under the Protection Plan. I was running 10.4.4 at the time, but Apple has installed 10.3 on the new disk. I just picked up my G5 from the Apple store and need some help.
I have a cloned backup that's (unfortunately) a year old on an external drive. I was doing nightly backups of my mail, safari settings and a folder to the same external drive with Backup using incremental backups. So the year old clone doesn't have all the files that have been updated since it was made.
I'm confused about how to get back up and running. Do I update the OS on the new drive first by reinstalling Tiger, updating to 10.4.7 and then start dragging things from the clone? Or should I copy my user folder from the clone and then drag newer files in? Or should I just clone the clone back to the new drive?
I rreally need to get up and running so I can begin to recreate the year's worth of illustrator files that I lost ...I've learned a BIG lesson here and will put into place a proper backup system as soon as possible.
I sure would appreciate any help.

PowerMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.4) PowerBook G4 12"Install Tiger and then download and run the updaters to get you all back to 10.4.7, etc. From here, I'd drag user data from the outdated clone to the new drive. Be careful about copying the library folder. You probably don't want to overwrite anything that's already there - you'll be replacing a newer file with an older one. But I'd go ahead and copy the contentsof each folder inside the personal drive of the cloned to the new one. By that, I mean, don't copy the Documents folder - copy the contents of the documents folder to the new documents folder.
Since your clone is really outdated you may be better off installing your applications rather than copying them - especially since some aren't likely to appreciate being copied. At least having already copied your preferences, many of the programs will already be serialized. -

Problem with replacement iPod - please help!
I just got a new replacement iPod and when I plug it into my computer to transfer my songs, the Updater pops up to restore the iPod, but then it says it can't do anything because the iPod is locked by another program. What can I do? Right now it still says "Do not disconnect."
Do not remove the iPod while do not disconnect shows.
Try using the windows device removal "safely remove hardware" icon in the system tray. If this doesn't work shutdown the PC and when it is powered down remove the iPod and reset it.
start up the PC and run the Updater, do not connect the iPod until the Updater prompts you to do so. If the Updater cannot see the iPod start over, but put the iPod into disk mode before you connect when prompted by the iPod. -

Your alt (aka opt or ⌥) key is stuck down. This seems to be quite common these days.
Try teasing it up with the corners of two credit cards or similar flexible, non-conducting tools.
If that doesn't work, the wafer switch underneath may be damaged, in which case it'll need to go in for service. -

Nano & Earbud Problems. Advice Needed!!!! PLEASE HELP!!! MAJOR PROBLEMS!
Okay, one day I was walking home with one headphone in one ear and the other in my friends, and then I get a shock. It really hurt, and my ears started to burn. Thats just the beginning. I call the Apple Help Line and they tell me they will send me a new set. THEN I get an email saying they WONT send me a pair because this JUST happens and it's because it was rubbing against nylon.
One thing though; I DONT WEAR NYLON [it makes me get a rash/hives]. Okay, so then I thought I'll just use the left heaphone [didnt shock me] So I only use this one. And then I remember he says it 'just happens' So I started to use the right headphone. I heard this click click thing and it's my headphone. It then shocks me again.
I thought it was a while since I used my right headphone and it might've stopped [today]. And so I used it, it shocked 3 times in a row. Now my ear still burns. What do I do?!
I don't want to use the right earbud, but I don't hear my songs properly without it and I have to turn up my volume with just my left earbud in and everyone know's what I'm listening to then because that's how high it is.
Any advice? This really bugs me.Im still confused, the guy on the phone said I DONT have to return the headphones but on the page it says

I bought my iphone on 23 June 2011, a week after the warranty period, I noticed that, each time I am on line or using it's software, the screen just disappear and offline just like that, and I had to re-start my iphone.
I have been facing this problem numeral times and not sure what is wrong with it.
Went back to Celcom to report, they asked me to deposit to their technical department and to come back after 2 weeks. (2 weeks) is way too long to wait.
