Replicating Material's

Hello Gurus,
I want to replicate a newly added material in the R/3-backend to SRM/EBP.
Can i know what are the steps that are to be done for doing,..
And also what if i want to change the Material group of a Particular Material
after replicating how.

Which R/3 version are you using ?
To set-up a new material replication , please read SAP OSS note 872533.
The Steps are ->
1)Define sites in the SRM - transaction SMOEAC
2)Maintain entry(objects: Material/service Master) in the R/3 table - CRMRFCPAR using SM30
3)Maintain in ECC in IMG cross apllicaiton products-> Master data Syn -> synchronisation control
4) Define filters in transaction R3AC
The replication of material /service as products will happen by middleware - mdocs

Once the replication parameters are set-up and you triggered the process, you will be able to check queues in SMQ1 and SMQ2 (ECC and SRM). Check RFC queues using transaction SMQ1 and SMQ2. Any other errors noticed in SLG1 and ST22 transactions.
Check in the transaction SMOHQUEUE for any errors / logs. Check your R/3 table CRMCRFCPAR.SRM consumer and queues should use the SRM RFC destination, and CRM one the CRM RFC destination.Also, check the consumer and the RFC destinations.
SMQ2 is an inbound queue. When You are starting replication of Material Master, check outbound queue (SMQ1) on backend system and look for DNL or MATERIAL queue name.

Replicating material to CRM

Hi all, we are replicating material master data from ERP to CRM. First it all worked well, the data was sendt immediately after changing a material. But now, it is not sent automatically. We have to debug and manipulate a few variables so the correct function modules are called. This is on the ERP side, before CRM is called.
1.
In the ERP system, we first have to stop the debugger in the FM CRM_SEND_TRANSFER_DATA, at IF i_stshd-upd_task IS INITIAL. Here, we have to remove an 'X' in the variable i_stshd-upd_task so the CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_SEND_UPDTASK is executed. Else the CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_SEND_UPDTASK' IN UPDATE TASK is executed, and that is not working!
2.
Then, still in the ERP system, we have to stop the debugger in the FM CRM_SEND_DATA, at IF i_crmrfcpar-use_in_q IS INITIAL. Here we have to remove an 'X' in the variable i_crmrfcpar-use_in_q so correct code is run. Then the data is sendt to CRM!
Any ideas what we have to do so the data is sendt without debugging each time?
What was changed in the ERP system?

I can now see that it works when this code runs:
IF i_crmrfcpar-use_in_q IS INITIAL.
CALL FUNCTION 'TRFC_SET_QUEUE_NAME'
        EXPORTING

Replicating material from R/3 to SRM problem

Hi experts I have done all configurations for material replication from R/3 to SRM but an error still occuring When I start the initiao load I can see inSMQ1 of backen 2 entries R3AD_MATERIA* and MASS_SRM_MATERIA*
in status STOP, and some materials are replicated but some materials are not replicated even if a request is created, I could see that some problems could occur if I have set language for user remote or RFC, but im my case it`s in blank, IF I change the RFC to unicode this problem could be solved?

Yes. Unicode RFC is recommended when you are using diff languages.
also check in SMW01 about the BDOC status.
Spoollist in this TXN can give you further info for the stoppages.

Error while replicating Material in SRM 7.

Hello,
I am facing the problem while replicating the material from backend system I have successfully replicated product categories and other.
BDoc failed while replicating the material from ECC system give me below message in SMW01 TCODE
"Mat. for Initial Download: Table not supported by function"
"Specify the relevant unit of length"
"Validation error occurred: Module COM_PRODUCT_MAT_VALIDATE, BDoc type PRODUCT_MAT."

You can solve the errors mentioned above by implementing the following notes:
Call transaction SE16, enter SMOFAPPL, and set entry EBP.
520227 - Set type CRMM_PR_TAX (implement manually!)
720819 - Consumer entries
428989 - Filtering irrelevant data (for example, Sales and Distribution) Example: see attachment mod.txt.
675101 - Execute report: COM_CATEGORY_TRANSPORT

Material description is missing when replicating material from R/3 to CRM

Hi Experts,
I am facing middleware error.
I have replicated a material from R/3 to CRM system.
I am able to see all the details in CRM except the material description in CRM.
The material i have replicated from R/3 to CRM has a description in R/3 but the same description is missing in CRM and it is showing blank.
Please help me to solve this.

Go to the COMM_PRSHTEXT see the table entries is there are not. Pass product GUID in this table and check.

Error when replicating material master - Value not permitted for PO Unit

Hi all,
I am having the following issue. I am trying to replicate material master from ECC 6.0 to CRM 5.0, but I am getting an error to which I am not being able to find the solution:
Value GFO is not permitted for attribute Purchase Order Unit
    Message no. COM_PRCAT020
Diagnosis
    You want to specify that the value GFO is allowed for the attribute Purchase Order Unit. However, in attribute maintenance or in the
    higher-level category ('parent category'), you specified that the value GFO is not allowed for this attribute.
I tried to find where to edit this attribute in Customizing, and also in tcode COMM_ATTRSET, but I have no idea if this was the right direction.
Has anyone faced this issue before? I would really appreciate any help, since this is preventing me from completing material replication.

Hello Sudipta,
I checked the attribute in COMM_ATTRSET, but there aren't any specific values for it. There is a value table T006, which I believe is standard, and it contains UoM GFO.
With this being the case, the error I'm getting makes even less sense to me...
Can you tell me if in there is any other place in CRM where we can set UoM?

Via transaction mm03 in ECC in the classification view characteristics values are maintained for a product are maintained.
Functions like Material classifications, vendor partners, etc are not actually mapped from R/3 backend to SRM.To my knowledge, there is not integration for material classification between SRM and ECC.
Possibly you can develop a custom programm.

Hi all,
Do we need have the plants in the CRM (from R/3)?
Must we have plants in the CRM for replicating the materials from r/3 to crm.
And next:
For Sales documents (inquiry, qutation and order) is required the store and use plants in the CRM?

As one of our forum friends mentioned, the plant is an optional in CRM. But in one scenario the plant is manadatory. Please refer to the following sap note for that scenario. - 493947

Material replicated in SRM from R/3 cannot be searched in SRM portal

Hello Experts,
We are in SRM 7.0 classic scenario.
We are facing an issue as described below:-
We replicated material number from backend R/3 sytem into SRM using transaction R3AC1 and we can see the material number in the table comm_product.
But the problem is that when we try to search for the material number in the portal,we are unable to search it
We checked the material number in backend R/3 system in table MARA & MARC and we find that, the material is maintained correctly in R/3 system.
Can you all experts,plz help us understand why this is happening and how this can be resolved?
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

How do you search the material ?

find out what search help is used .

Upload Material Master to non SAP Catalog

Hi Guys,
we are trying to create a process to upload Material Master and/or Purchasing Info Recordes data directly from the backend into an non-SAP catalog. So far I only know about report BBP_CCM_CATALOG_TRANSFER, that uploads replicated material master from SRM into CCM or MDM Catalog.
Are there reports available in the backend (ECC6 EhP3) or in SRM 700 that could extract the data from Material Master and Purchasing Info Records into a format (XML;CSV,..) that could be used to upload these data into a catalog manually or via PI.
Any hints are welcome!

Yes you can run MECCM in your ECC system to transfer PIR and contracts as XML files.

Vendor and Material Replication from ECC6 Ehp7 to SRM7.0

I am facing an issue with replicating Material and Vendor Master from ECC to SRM system.
ECC system - ECC6.0 Ehp 7 & SRM system - SRM7.0
Middleware setting is done as per Note 720819 and performed the object like DNL_CUST_BASIS3 , DNL_CUST_PROD0, DNL_CUST_PROD1 and found Sucess in SRM R3AM1.
Errors :
1. Material Replication Error in SMW01

CRM material master valuation category

hi,
I replicated material master data from ERP to CRM. 10000016 Material has 3 valuation category in ERP. But valuation category in the financial 1 tab doesn't replicate to CRM. While I create service order with 10000016 material , how can I know which valuation category is used?

It's solved.
Unfortunately you will have to add the field in CRM as it is not
contained in standard system.
Also you add the field in CRM and then do the mapping to the same field
in R/3. You can use the data exchange BADI to do this CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADIThis is your own responsibility
however.

Filtering R/3 Material Groups and Material Types

Hi,
I am trying to filter the Material groups and material types during master data upload from R/3 to SRM 4.0
I am tried doing the following:
1. In Txn R2AR2, i set up the request for DNL_CUST_PROD1 for MARA-MATKL(Material Group) & MARA-MTART(Material Type)and then run the Txn R3AR4 with DNL_CUST_PROD1. The replication was successful, but it pulled in all the R/3 backend material groups and material types.
Now i deleted the replicated material types and Material groups in SRM using SRM Std reports and this too was successful.
2. Now i tried another method - In Txn R3AC3, i selected the Object DNL_CUST_PROD1 and i added table MARA and set up the filter requirements for MARA-MTART(Material Types) and MARA-MATKL(Material Groups), i synchronized the filters and then when i selected the object DNL_CUST_PROD1 in Txn R3AS for initial upload, even this is pulling in all the material types and material groups from R/3 without filtering
Can anyone please let me know the exact procedure to filter out the R/3 Material types and material groups during initial upload of this data into SRM 4.0

Hi,
Before starting the INitial load for MATERIAL,for filetr settings ,Go in tcode R3AC1.
There select the Object name as MATERIAL and click on the "filter settings" tab.
There in OBJECT FILTER SETTINGS
Enter the relevant filter criteria:
e.g. If you wnat to filter on Material type(MARA-MTART):
The input will be as follows:
Table /Structure :MARA
Field :MTART
OP :EQ Equality (= Low)
Low: "Material type name"
Incl/EXcl: Inclusive defined
And then click on the button "FILTER SYNC".
The filter settings are complete for the Material download.

Problem in replicating plant

Hai Gurus
i have problem in replicating plant.First created organisation structure in R/3.created material.and replicated material.while creating shopping cart error is popping(Plant for the follow-on -document doesnt exist).
so i replicated plant in sa38 and checked in SLG1.here i got error"No internal standard grouping doesnt exist for plant"

thanks for replying.thing is i checked business partner ID numbers in BP transaction.so what i found is 1000001064 is the last business partner no.when i create PERSON in BP transaction it is popping the same error"no internal standard grouping exist"
Regarding No:range for Business Partner ID (not the Business partner NO:range) from where did it pick that no:range.As ther is no matching no:range Business Partner ID
