Report about Version Management of PO

Hello,
Version Management is active in my system.
Is there any standard report that shows any information about the different versions of the POs?
I need a report which atleast shows the number of versions that exist for a PO.
Any help appreciated.

Use EKKO table and field name as REVNO with this you can go for Z development report.

  • Version Management of ODI interfaces

    Dear All,
    In a development envronment, if I need to configure, my ODI environment with any version managent system, what are the steps?
    which version management systems could be used for the same and how?
    How versioning of ODI objects is managened during development, ? is there any standard proces of mentodology to follow?
    Suppose I created an interface and saved it as Interface1.0 and then modified is further and saveed it as Interface1.1, now I want to go back to Interface1.0 because the logic in the latest version was not appropriate and would like to restrat from Interface1.0 as a baseline. How to retrive older object? Is there any tool oracle proivdes for such version managemnt of ODI objects? if not can we use any other version management system to do the same? Wht is the process?

  • Request not visible in the version management of a Report Program

    Hi,
    We Imported an external request into the SAP System.
    The request was imported successfully and a program already existing is updated with that request,
    The problem is that the request number is not visible in the Version Management of the Report Program, but the other Programs have the request number visible in the version management, we could not find the request number in that  particular program
    We tried reimporting the request but the request is not visible.

    Check the transport logs and see if there are any erros/warnings.

  • Looking at version management of a Program report

    Hi gurus,
    can you please explain, why does the older version is active and flagged than the current version?
    Points will be given later.

    At the top of the version management screen you always see the active version. The date behind that version is the date that version was activated.
    e.g. 10.Dec.2007
    Now you decide a week later to release and transport your request. Once you release the request the (at that point newest version) is 'closed'.
    e.g. You started doing changes in the program on 5.Dec.2007 which created a new version 00005.
    You released the request on 17.Dec.2007 which closed the version 00005.
    The display is as follows:
    active version: xxxxxxxxx 10.dec.2007
    00005  yyyyyyyyy 17.Dec.2007
    00004  ........
    In this case the active version is older than the current version.

    I used Eclipse 3.4.2 SR2 with PVCS Version Manager plugin.
    I installed Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plugin to the Eclipse.
    Eclipse executed successfully at first time.
    After I open *.mxml file with the Eclipse and close.
    After minutes, I execute Eclipse.
    But I waited 40 minutes to see Eclipse Editor screen.
    Are there any problem in Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plugin?

    I experimented with the latest Zend Studio 8 trials on both platforms yesterday, and it looks a little different depending on which platform you're using:
    On OS X, because Zend Studio is now contained entirely within the app bundle, it's tricky navigating to the proper eclipse folder with our Plug-in Utility. As it turns out, the Zend dropins folder does exist if you look down low enough:
    /Applications/Zend Studio.app/Contents/Resources/Java/dropins
    When I typed that path into the Burrito Plug-in Utility manually, it found the dropins folder, and proceeded to install the link without complaint. However, the Zend dropins folder is not working properly on OS X either, as already found on Win, so it's not using the link.
    On Win, Zend Studio 8 doesn't include the dropins folder in the first place, as noted earlier. Apparently, Zend doesn't have its dropins folder enabled on either Mac or Win.
    To see if this problem is specific to dropin links, I downloaded the latest Orbit plugins from eclipse.org and tried adding those directly to the Zend dropins folder, instead of using a link. Zend doesn’t appear to recognize them either.
    I'll check with our contact at Zend to see what happened.

  • Trying to make Reporting Services Configuration Manager work. Or, SQL Server Reporting Services.

    Under Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2008, I have the following:
    SQL Server Management Studio
    Configuration Tools
    Integration Services
    Import and Export Data
    Under Configuration Tools, I have the following:
    SQL Server Installation Center
    SQL Server Configuration Manager
    SQL Server Error and Usage Reporting
    Reporting Services Configuration Manager
    I tried to enable Reporting Services through 'Reporting Services Configuration Manager' but I don't seem to have much control from this view.  I see two boxes, one named Server Name (and it shows my server name) and the other is named Report Servicer Instance (and this is grayed out).  If I click on the Find box next to Server Name, I get this message:
    Report Server WMI Provider Error: Invalid Namespace

    To get the Server Name I right-clicked SQL Server > Properties > General
    Any ideas on how to make Reporting Services Configuration Manager work?  Or, can you please give me more details on how to access "System control" => "Services"?  I'm not seeing it anywhere and I'm not seeing any way to find "Sql Server Reporting Services".  Basically, I'm trying to activate my SQL Server Reporting Services.
    I am using SQL Server 2008 Express Management Studio.  Is SQL Server Reporting Services included in Express Management Studio?  I read, online, that it is, but I can't find it anywhere.

    Then, I cut that from my desktop and pasted it in my C-drive and I get a message that says, ‘this folder already contains a file named ‘SQLEXPRADV_x86_ENU.exe’, would you like to replace the existing file?’
    I’m thinking…what the heck?  Do I already have this thing?  If so, why can’t I see SQL Server Reporting Services?  Maybe I have it now, and I just don’t know how to access the reporting Services features…
    Couple quick questions:
    What’s the difference b/w these two files: 
    ‘SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe’ and ‘SQLEXPRADV_x86_ENU.exe’?

    My server name is ‘'EXCEL-4J2W8KYNP', which I got from Control Panel > System Properties > Computer Name > Full Computer Name;
    However, when I put that server name in the box, and hit ‘Find’ I get this message: ‘Report Server WMI Provider error’ Invalid namespace
    Details: Invalid Namespace.
    I have no idea what this means…

  • Working with version management and promotion management best practices BO 4.1

    Hi Experts
    I wondered if anybody knows if there is a document or something about best practices to work with the version management and promotion management in BO 4.1?
    Our Environment includes two servers. The first one is our development and test server. The second server is our prod system.
    Now on the dev server we have basically two folders called dev and test. We control access to them with a right system based on the folder structure.
    My question now is how you would work in this scenario (third server is not an option). Main target is to have as few reports as possible. Therefore we try to work with the version management system and only have one version of each report in the dev folder of the cms. But this is where problems start. Sometimes the newest version is not the version we want to publish to the test folder or even prod server.
    How would you publish the report to the other folder? Make a copy of the concerned report (transport to the same system via promotion management is not possible). Also how would you use the version management in regards to the folder structure? Only use version management in dev folder and export reports to test folder (out of vms control) or also use vms in test folder and how would that work?
    Further more I’d be interested in learning best practices with promotion management. I found out that the promotion of a report that doesn’t exist in prod doesn’t make any problems. But as soon as an older version already exists there is only partial success and the prod folder gets renamed to “test”.
    Any suggestions on how to handle these problems?

    So you are basically proposing to work with the vms in the dev folder and publish the desired version to the test folder. And the test folder is out of version control in this scenario if I understood you correctly (like simple data storage)?
    And how would you suggest promoting reports to the prod system? Simply by promoting the
    desired version from dev folder directly to prod? This would probably lead to inconsistence because we would need to promote from dev system to test and dev to prod instead of promoting a straight line from dev over test to prod. Furthermore it would not solve the problem of the promoting result itself (A new folder called dev will be generated in prod but the report gets promoted to the prod folder if there was no report before).

    of other tutorials and papers describing the basic promoting process. The promoting process in general is clear to me but I wondered if it is possible to change some parameters to  prevent folder renaming for example.

  • Issue with scheduling a quarterly report in Central Management Console

    I'm new to BusinessObjects and am a brand new member of the forum here and this is my maiden post and I'm hoping that the community here can help with an issue I have encountered. Basically we are using BusinessObjects Exterprice XI Release 2 and had a report schedule set-up to run Every N months Where N is 3, the start date was set as the 22:30 on 31/3/2009 and the report ran as scheduled on that date, however, the report didn't subsequently run at the end of Q2. I suspect it may be due to the date being set as the 31st March and that, ft is is to run every 3 months, that it tried to roll forward to 31st June which is obviously an invalid date. Has anyone seen this issue before and can you advise on the possible reason and a workaround/solution?

    If you are using SAP BO XI R3.x, you can use "Import wizard" or LCM for replacing \ overwriting the existing version of any objects (Programs, Crystal, webi reports etc..,) from one environment to another (Dev-QA, QA-UAT, UAT-Prod).
    If you are using SAP BI 4.x, you can use Promotion Management which is integrated within the CMC to replace or overwrite the existing version of any objects from one environemnt to another.

  • Report : How to show all the reports in Content Management

    Hi,
      Can anyone tell me how I can show the "Resource Locks" Report in Portal.
      I can see 4 reports through Content Management -> Reports i.e. Approval Maintenance, Link Consistency, Resource Statistics, Time-based publishing.
    If I want to add more reports over here than "How I can achieve it".
      Also I have seen the settings System Administration -> System Configuration -> KM -> CM -> Repository Managers -> Reporting Repository
    But here I find no combo box for Active Reports, so from where I can activate the reports and show them in Content Management -> Reports
    Please help me.

        Are you talkign about the report which give you details of which Portal Objects are currently locked?
       If yes, then you can go to System Adminitrator > Monitoring > Object Locking

    I have installed about 20 applications servers on windows but never met this problem before.
    I am facing the problem in viewing the report output on the Windows 2003, Oracle Application server

    I am using Arial 10 as default Font of the report,
    but in output I am getting another font.

    Section D1.11 says this is a know problem and to copy one registry entry to another, however, this entry does not exist on the Windows 2003 server this is running on.
    Any ideas?
    D.1.11 Printing and Font Errors When Using In-process Server
    The in-process server does not recognize the default printer of a user currently logged on to Windows. This is because the service that runs the in-process server is logged on as the Local System.
    Problem
    Any of the following:
    * Printing to default printer fails with the REP_3002 error. For example, the following command:

    2. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows
    3. Copy the string value of Device for this key. For example: \\MOWGLI\sierra,winspool,Ne02:
    4. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows
    5. Paste the Device value copied from HKEY_CURRENT_USER (the string value of Device for this key will be empty).
