Report carry forwarding the current month 2weeks data to next month

Hi experts,
Issue statement:
XXXXX Procurement reports in MSTR (MRP Adhoc report) is showing weeks out of order, the last 2 weeks of a current month are carried over to the first two weeks of the next month (ie, working week 33-ww34 from August are repeated as the first 2 weeks of September, therefore September will have 7 weeks, ww33 to ww39), this happens month over month, this issue is probably making the EOH calculation to be wrong and most likely any other calculations. Materilas need this report to place PO's based on inventory levels and so far the data is not trustable and wrong. Need this to be fixed asap. Thanks a lot.

I think, you could use data function of a formula.
You will have to create a RKF for closing balance of previous month.
Try the SUMCT<Closing balance of prev per> in the opening balance column of this month.

However, determining all opening balances by carrying forward closing balances in the query, I think, is not a good idea, since this would mean that you have to run the query from the timepoint the data was first reported. This means querying and reporting a lot of data. I would rather suggest you to have another Cube may be over this DSO and do the carry forward in modeling.

Carrying forward the parked documents of previous fiscal year

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to carry-forward the parked documents of the previous fiscal year to the new fiscal year automatically with a background job that should run at the end of each fiscal year.
This job should check all the documents that are still parked and must carry them to the next fiscal year. As per standard SAP, the document should be manually posted with posting date of the new fiscal year. Then the system will create a new Document in the new fiscal year, deleting the old document. I need to automate this process.
For posting a document we use a Customized Workflow (Z copy of FIPP).
My question is, how can I go about this requirement? What all needs to be done if I want to trigger the workflow in the background on a particular day?

If you really want to "remove/cancel" the parked documents, then your solution is to delete them as Prashant previously suggested. Transaction FBV0 allows you to post or delete a parked document. Deleting the parked documents does not remove the entire document from the system. It will remove any line item information, but it will leave the header information. With the header information, you will still have record of the document numbers for audit purposes. The status on the header will show "parked document which was deleted". Deletion is the standard SAP solution to "remove/cancel" parked documents - the only alternative to deleting a parked document is to post it.
Park a document on your test system then delete it so you can see the results. You will still be able to pull up the header information in FB03.
I am not aware of any standard SAP reports for listing parked documents that were deleted. However, if you require such a report, you could create a simple SQ01 query against table BKPF. You would want to include the Document status field (BSTAT) in the query selection criteria so you can select documents with a status of 'Z' - parked document which was deleted.

Where can I find the current time and date of Time Capsule?

I have a home network consisint of 2 x Time Capsules and 1 x Airport Express. All is working fine. I would like to set up access control for one machine connecting to the network and I can see I can do this under Access Control on the Airport Utility. My question is where can I find the current time and date setting for these devices?
I can set them to use the time.apple.com server to set the time automatically, but I can't find where to see the current time and date of the device. The only place I can see reference to the time and date is on the logs and statistics under the Advanced tab of the AirPort Untility.

I don't think you can change the time and date on the TC itself, it just connects to a time server (and you set your own time zone).

can any body have query to get previous month first date and previous month last date.
Ex: First day of the previous week:

User has opened the wrong first inventory account period. Instead of Aug-14, next period Sep-14 has been opened. There are transactions which need to be posted in Aug-14. How can I rectify this?

Write data on Next Month

Hello,
I'm trying to get the next month's value from a variable named &V_FIRST_FORECAST.
So, let's say if my first forecast is "Oct", I want a function to return the next month "Nov" and write on it.
And also I want it to be dynamic if I want to write on the next 3 or 4 months.
I've tried using @Next(Element X,1)=@Next(Element Y,1). But the @next function isn't working on the left hand side of the equation..
So, what can be done in order to enable the left hand side of the equation to write starting from next month or the month after and so on ?

Yeah.. that wont work. You need to try to get your next member either in a calc block or fix statement to get this to work. If you share more about what you are trying to do (more code sharing), people here may be able to help you point in the right direction.

How to relate current day to date hierarchy [year - month - day] for SSRS report paramenter

I've created a SSRS report based on OLAP cube. In this report, there is a date parameter which is used to filter out data.
Now , I want this report to be run and always retrieve data from previous day. I need to supply the date parameter with something
like SQL syntax: DATEADD(dd,-1,GETDATE()) . The question is how can I do that in the MDX world?

According to your description, you need to retrieve data from previous day, so you are looking for an expression in MDX which can achieve the requirement like SQL syntax: DATEADD(dd,-1,GETDATE()), right?
As per my understanding, it easy to achieve this requirement in report level ranther than in MDX query level. You can create another hidden parameter "Date2" using the expression below.
=DateAdd("d",-1,Parameters!Date.Value)
Then use Date2 parameter to filter in the query.
If don't want to create another parameter, you can use it like below.
Year     =DatePart("yyyy",DateAdd("d",-1,Parameters!Date.Value))
Quarter =DatePart("qq",DateAdd("d",-1,Parameters!Date.Value))
Month    =DatePart("mm",DateAdd("d",-1,Parameters!Date.Value))
Week     =DatePart("ww",DateAdd("d",-1,Parameters!Date.Value))
Besides, DateAdd function is supported in MDX, please refer to the link below.

Scheduling the Webi report based on the current date

Can I schedule the report to give the results of the previous day (report Daily) and other one to give the results of the previous month (report Monthly)? How can I do it?

Well for yesterday, you can use something like:
CAST(CONVERT(VARCHAR, T_GVQSTATCG1_HOUR.DATE_YYYYMMDD, 110) AS DATETIME) = DATEADD(dd,-1,(select T_GVQSTATCG1_HOUR.DATE_YYYYMMDD from YourTable where Current_Day_Ind = 'Y'))
We have a date table in our data warehouse with a Current Day Indicator field. If you don't have something like that, then you should be able to just use:
CAST(CONVERT(VARCHAR, DateAdd(dd,-1, GetDate()), 110) AS DATETIME)
You would use something similar for previous month, parsing out the month number from the date, and then subtracting 1, except of course for January, where you could just plug in a case statement to handle that.
This is assuming you are on SQL Server. Syntax may be different in Universe for Oracle or other.

How would I create a Summary Chart for the Current Year Using a Count by Month?

I have a data set of 3 date fields. I would like to create a summary counting all of the occurrances of each of these dates per month, similar to using a SumProduct() command in excel.
For example, my data is as follows:
Registered Date |    Application Date   |   Sale Date
1/1/2007             |      2/1/2007            |     2/20/2007
1/10/2007           |      2/1/2007            |     3/20/2007
2/20/2007           |      3/10/2007          |     3/20/2007
I would like to summarize this information by month as follows:
                      | Jan '07   |   Feb '07 | Mar '07 | TOTAL
Registered      |      2        |   1           |    0         |   3
Applications    |     0         |   2           |   1          | 3
Sales             |     0         |   1            | 2            | 3
TOTAL           |   2            | 4            | 3            | 9

Yes, but it will require some effort. Group on "Sale Date" Change the group to group by month.   You can then create a running total for "Registered Date","Application Date"," Sale Date"      For Registered date, I used Field to summarize Registered Date, Type of summary was count, Evaluate use a formula, reset on change of group 1 (I only have one group, "Sale Date") The formula will look like this.
month ({Registered Date }) in [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12]
You would build your other running totals (Counts) using the same methods,
Once you have these, you should be able to create your chart.
