I am using javax.servlet.context.tempdir to store my files in that servletcontext temporary directory. But i dont know how to give hyperlink
of the modified files to the user for them to download the modified files.

one another thing is that i want my servlet to be executed by my <form action> only, I dont want the user to simply type url and trigger the servlet

Reporting exceptions on deferred constraints

Is it possible to report exceptions on deferred constraints? I am using this mechanism to load tables in an arbitrary order and to prevent FK violations whilst loading.
As a starting point, the script below works as expected (enabling and disabling):

However, I don't want to disable constraints, because the application may be performing DML in another session.
So in the script below I'm deferring the constraints instead of disabling them. But how can I report the constraint violations in this scenario?

will validate deferred constraints and result in a SQL Error: ORA-00001: unique constraint (SCOTT.EMP_UK) violated
But this does not tell me the rows.
The statement:
ALTER TABLE EMP ENABLE CONSTRAINT EMP_UK EXCEPTIONS INTO EXCEPTIONS;
results in the following error, and no rows in the exceptions table:
SQL Error: ORA-02091: transaction rolled back
ORA-00001: unique constraint (SCOTT.EMP_UK) violated
Is there any way to report the violations?
At the end, I'd like to report ALL violating rows to the user.
The best I can come up with is, for each constraint perform:
SET CONSTRAINT EMP_UK IMMEDIATE;
and in the exception handler explicitly query for duplicates in the table:
SELECT ENAME FROM EMP GROUP BY ENAME HAVING COUNT(*) > 1;
I hope there is a better way.

I believe this will not be usable in a scenario in which the tables are loaded in the "wrong" order. The database will only be consistent after all tables have been loaded. Using DML error logging will produce false errors. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

My application hangs and quit when it was loading crystal report Exception Offset:00007c72

I'm sorry if i post this discussion at incorrect Space(or Forum).I'm appreciating your patient .
I installed my application on PC-client Win7 ; and when he was trying to view the report an error raise the application encountered a problem and needs to close.

WEBI Report - Exception aggregation..

Hi,
I'm new to WEBI and need help in figuring out how to achieve below reporting need.. We've below data set.
DocNo            DocItem               Material             ConditionType                  Amount
1000               001                     12345                XXXX                               100
1000               001                     12346                XXXX                               100
1001               001                     12345                XXXX                               50
Report o/p should show
ConditionType        Amount
XXXX                     150
Same amount is always repeated for the different materials for the combination of DocNo, DocItem and ConditionType. Requirement is to calculate amount at condition type by considering amount only once ($100) for document 1000 and ($50) for document 1001.
Is it possible in WEBI?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I tried using the formula provided by you. I believe you mean CondType instead of Material in your formula. It gives me MAX value when I'm at detail level within the data set. It seems not working if I remove the column Material from the report. It aggregates and gives me SUM as $250 instead of $150.
Requirement is to Consider MAX(amount) value in DocNo, DocItem, ConditionType and sum it up at ConditionType level.
Any idea..Do I also need to change the measure property as suggested by Muiz in addition to your formula?

I'm using the Financial Reporting Studio 11.1.2.507 to develop a report to a planning application, so i'm using a planning connection to do it. This report involves some calcs and i have sure that is possible generate a divide by zero. But what happen is: I started developing this report using the user admin and no error message was shown. Then when i tryed to acess this report with a user other than the admin user the error occurs: "Error executing query: java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zerojava.lang.ArithmeticException".
So, have you seen this scenario before?
Could you help me with this issue?
p.s: if i wasn't clear enough, please tell me!

Thanks a lot for your quick response. The error message appears when i acess through the workspace. When I was developing I was acessing with admin user (FR Studio) and now I'm using other user to test the report in the workspace. I've commited a mistake when i thought that the user point of view that I defined when i was developing would be applied over all users. So, when I opened the report with a user other than the admin the error ocurred because the default attributes resulted in a empty resultset or something like that.
Is there a way to define a user point of view (pov) for all user at once?

How to resolve un reported exception

Values are not coming in report S_ALR_87013558

Hi,
I am running the budget report S_ALR_87013558. In that report except budget column, other values are coming(Actual,Comiitment, remordpla, assigned,available)....
BUt I have assigned the budget..It is showing properly in S_ALR_87013557.
In S_ALR_87013228 report, available it is showing in negative.
How to rectify this issue?

Issue in ALV Report

Hi,
I have a issue in ALV Report for displaying one field's data into output.
I am getting data into all other fields in ALV Report except for this field.
This field & related fields are declared as below: in final internal table.
sta_no     TYPE z3status,
status(10) TYPE c,
Here z3status is of type Char(1).
In Report
I have put a condition :
IF i_tab-sta_no EQ 1.
   i_tab-status = 'Created'.
ELSE.
   i_tab-status = 'Closed'.
ENDIF.
and to field catalog also i am passing right information as for every other field in ALV Report.
Till the point use of REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY F.M also final internal table is having status field filled.
But in output nothing gets displayed for Status field.
Can anybody tell me what can be the issue!

Running Reports - Help

Hi All,
We currently have users running a large number of reports on an AIX unix server and was struggling for a long while with memory usage when using rwclient.sh... During peak hours we would be getting approx. 100 requests every 5 minutes.
We have recently switch to call rwservlet to execute our reports, which has seems to resolve the memory issue. Since our reports are called through a Unix script, we have configured it to use wget to call the URL and run the reports.
However, we are now getting errors when executing reports in the dead of night... when no users are on and there are no other requests for reports except from our batches. Looking at the log files wget returns (which is the actual web page), it's usually empty which leads me to think that it is related to a "500 Internal Server Error". It doesn't make sense as neither the report server or the application server is shutdown during the night. Also, these are not long running reports, and sometimes the fail in quick successions. The rwserver.log doesn't report the failure either, which could possibly mean that the request never got to the report server.
I have searched every where but cannot seem to find anything that could help our situation.
We are currently running OAS 9.0.4, and have configured to run 8 report engines.
Can anyone suggest what we can do?

Hi
first of all enable tracing for report server by uncommenting the TRACE tag in report server configuration file found in OH/reports/conf.
As your batch program is sending reprots to printer so make sure that in OH/reports/cache there is any output created or not during that period.
Before sending to prrinter a copy will be saved in cache folder.
The errors reported in server trace can guide for further progress.

Scheduling Crystal report from Infoview portal doesn't show up data

"The crystal report is based on a SAP BI query. The parameters of the report are basically the parameters(SAP variables) of the SAP BI query. When we run the crystal report in the CR Report Designer tool, it runs fine showing all the data correctly. Then we published the crystal report to the Crystal Enterprise Server from the SAP BI system. Through the Infoview portal, the user clicks on the 'Schedule' link for the report and sets the parameters. When the 'Schedule' button is clicked, it runs successfully but no data is seen in the report except for the template. But under the same report, in Infoview portal, if the user selects "View" link, sets the parameters and then clicks the 'Execute' button, it runs successfully showing all correct data.
Dont understand why it works for 'View' link but doesn't work for 'Schedule' link. Is there any setting that needs to be made for this?"

Once you tick the schedule button the History window opens and you should see your instance. Status is usually pending and after a refersh (scheduled for run now) you should get the status running/successfull or failed. What is your status here and what happend if you tick on the instance once you get the status successfull?
