Report Request IM

Hello Experts,
I would like to be able to run a report that gives me all material numbers for a plant, their stock (which also can be Q-stock and the WBS needs to be visible) and the bin number where it is stored. The Q-stock is non-valuated
Does a report like that exist?

Hi,
Refer report MBBS - Valuated Sales Order and Project Stock
Also you can refer report MB52 and here in selection screen, select indicator "Also select special stocks" and enter Special Stock Indicator as "Q" and select "Non-Hierarchial Display" and Execute the Report.

  • How to track the flow of Sharepoint SSRS report requests to troubleshoot slowness

How to track the flow of requests of Integrated SSRS report links in Sharepoint.
We are using SSRS with Sharepoint for reporting purpose. The issue is some of the reports get generated fast and some other reports generation is very slow. When the sql query of these reports RDL file is executed, the records are shown fast.
Also even on clicking the "Add Subscription" link of "Manage Subscriptions" of a report is very slow for some reports, while it is fast for other reports.
I tried enabling SQL profiler to track the requests.  I have checked profiler log for the SQL statements with exec sp_executesql. But they are not helpful.
Pls advice on how to track the request of flow of SSRS report request in sharepoint and how to troubleshoot the slowness in  "Add Subscription" link, response of some reports.

    Hi Pradeesh,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to track SharePoint SSRS report requests to troubleshoot the performance.
Developer dashboard is very help full while troubleshooting the issues related to performance in SharePoint 2013.  You can have a try.
About Developer dashboard, you can refer to the links:

  • Published report requesting DB Login for Dynamic Parameters - V2008

I have a report that is setup as a main report with many sub-reports. The Main report request a set of parameters all are dynamic and 4 are cascading. The sub-reports access one of 2 database connections and the dynamic paramters come from only one of those.
It works fine in design mode and asks for the DB Credentials only once, but when I published it (Crystal Reports Server 2008) and I set the default DB Configurations (I make sure the Use same database logon as when report is run is checked) , it still prompts for the DB Login in InfoView when you go to View the report, but only the connection for the dynamic parameters.
Have I just totally confused Crystal or is there a setting I am missing.
    Thanks,

  • Submiting Report Request via DB Proc.

    Hello,
Is there a way to submit a report request to the report server via a database procedure?
I have a situation where depending on the report name, userid, email addr, report-parameters, frequency etc. stored in a table, the database procedure SHOULD send the report request to the report server.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Manish

If you are running 7.3.4 or later of the Database, you can do this.
First, set up reports for web reporting - i.e. you are able to run a report by submitting a URL (see the Reports Server configuration whitepaper on OTN and the doc. if you don't know how to do this).
Then, check out the Oracle7/Oracle8 Application Server guide - there is a db package called UTL_HTTP which will allow you to call a URL from a stored procedure - which is all that is needed to run a report from a stored procedure! Simply build the URL up and submit it. If you have Reports 6.0 patch 1 or later, you also have access to the Reports Server queue in the database, so you can programatically check the status of the job just submitted (use the JOB= parameter to uniquely identify your job).

  • How to enable Operating Unit in concurrent program report request

I am using R12 and need to make user enable to choose an operating unit while submitting a concurrent program report request.
Example: Receipt Accural - Period End report is allowing to choose operating unit but other report are not.
    My question is:
    1) How to enable operating unit in concurrent program request?
    2) How to replace CLIENT_INFO statement in reports query? How 'selected operating unit' info will be passed to report?
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi,
I guess it will passed same way as other parameters in any concurrent program. The user will provide a value in the organization parameter, and the definition of the report will have a query similar to this:
    SELECT *******
    FROM *******
    WHERE ******
    AND org_id = &p_org_id
WHERE p_org_id would be the operating unit id provided by the user.
    Hope it helps.

  • Auditing report requests

    Dear all
Is there a way of automatically recording basic report request information whenever a report is run (through RUN_PRODUCT), e.g. username, report name, time of logon, etc.
My first thought was to use V$SESSION in an AFTER LOGON trigger, but my first problem is that columns PROGRAM and MODULE are NOT POPULATED for sessions run from the client.
    DBMS: Oracle 8.1.7
    Reports 6.0.8.13.1 (run client-server)
    Any advice gratefully received.
    Regards
    Andrew Hunter

    Hi Andrew
Report server maintain a queue for past jobs which can be also store in a databse table. This information would have the report name, time it started, finish time etc. You need to enable database repository in report server config file. Please refer the 6i publishing report manual at otn to find out details of this feature.
    Thanks

  • Essbase terminating session "MDX report" request

I have an essbase "terminating " status session with MDX report request ( ASO ).
I tried to force " Logout" and "Kill" still does not work.
    Please help

You'll have to kill that using task manager (if on windows) on Essbase server. On task manager, go to View->Select Columns select command line. This will show you which application is EssSvr.exe is associated with. kill that process.
if on *nix use ps and see what the pid is and kill the process.

  • Sales Orders Report - Requested Delivery date fails.

    Hello,
If a customer orders Item A Quantity 10 with a requested delivery date as 10.09.2008
In sales orders under Schedule line tab it will be displayed as below if schedule line fails
Delivery date Order Qty Rounded Qty Confirmed Qty
    10.09.2008     10     10     0
    20.09.2008     0     0     10
Customers get the goods not on his requested delivery date but some time later.
My requirement is I need to get the list of sales orders (like as we get the list of incomplete sales orders in V.02) where the requested delivery date fails and confirms next delivery date.
Is there any such standard report available???
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vamsi

    Hi
This is not available as a standard report. Consult your ABAPer to develop a Zreport. The system will compare the requested delivery date and the schedule line date and if the delivery date in the schedule line doesn't match with the requested delivery date, those schedule lines along with the details of the material, sales order number etc., will be displayed in the report. You have to give the ABAPer the details like..how the input screen should be, how the output screen should be and the proper logic for obtaining the required output.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Auto cancellation of oraphaned report requests.

    Hello all,
I'm trying to find a way to cancel any request that is running if a given user navigates away from a report that is still generating - ie its orphaned.
Say for example they log in and connect to a dashboard, tab 1 runs a report, they immediately select tab 2. The report from tab 1 is still running.
This is a simplistic example as there are many ways people can do this, running their own Answers ad-hoc reports, and so on.
Can anyone advise on what to do? I've tried setting the query limits on time on the security groups but it doesnt seem to utilise these settings - have a group with the time limit enabled for 3 minutes but when I test this it ignores it. Restrictions on time of date or rows are observed....but these are either stopping a query from running at all....or not showing the results once its finished.
    Thanks to all in advance

One thing that occured to me, does the user that BI connects to the database to have to have permission to cancel a running SQL? I'm looking in the log files and cant seen any errors regarding it cancelling or not cancelling the job?

  • XML Report Publisher - Blank Report Request Parameter

    Hi
I have a custom template and custom data definition in Purchasing application. I ran PO Output For Communication and it generated the PDF. Now I want to do Bursting.
So, I assigned XML Report Publisher and XML Bursting (both out-of-box programs) to Purchasing responsibility. But when I try to run them, I don't see any values in Request ID LOV.
Please suggest what am I missing in there.

NewBiePlease confirm that you have added those concurrent programs to the correct Request Group which is attached to the same responsibility.
From (System Administrator responsibility > Security > Responsibility > Define) query the responsibility name and get the Request Group. Then from (System Administrator responsibility > Security > Responsibility > Request), query the Request Group and add those concurrent programs.

  • SSRS report- Request timed out error displaying when running.

I have a parameter which with other date ranges work but where the parameter for datetime is from 4/1/2013 to 5/1/2013 it brings this error:
    Server Error in '/' Application.
    Request timed out.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out.
    Source Error:
An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.
    Stack Trace:
    [HttpException (0x80004005): Request timed out.]
How can I be able to determine the cause of this because the sql mgmt studio brings in the data really well at 15 seconds with hundreds of rows?
I am not trying to lessen the time for getting this data which one thing would be to reduce the amount of fields needed to lower reaction time for retrieving the data. I am just wondering why is it giving me this and what plans can I do to avoid these errors
    from happening again?

    Hi Elvin,
The issue might be related to the executionTimeout setting of the Web application. If you view the report in the report manager, please use the following steps to modify the web.config file:
Navigate to <Drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRSX.<InstanceName>\Reporting Services\ReportManager, back up and then open the web.config file.
    Search for httpRuntime.
Add maxRequestLength="100000" to the line of code, and reset the executionTimeout value so that the line looks like this:
    <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="100000" executionTimeout="90000" />
If you view the reports on a SharePoint site, please modify the web.config file of the SharePoint Web application. For example, if the SharePoint Web application uses 80 port, then its web.config file is located in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80
    folder.
    Hope this helps.

  • Crystal Report requests Database logon if SAP BW is datasource

    Hi all
    I experience the following:
    1. SSO from SAP Portal to BOE works: I can view Sample Crystal Reports based on the BO-iView-template without additional login
    2. SSO from SAP Portal to SAP BW works: a) I can view custom BW Web queries without additional login and b) the connection tests on the system object in SAP Portal run fine
    3. I assume SSO between BOE and BW works because I can view Xcelsius dashboards based on BW queries within SAP Portal without additional login
Nevertheless I am presented a login screen ("The report you requested requires further information. -
Database Logon") if I try to view a crystal report based on a BW query, no matter if I start the report from InfoView, SAPGUI or SAP Portal. If I enter my SAP credentials in "Databse logon"-window I can see the report runs fine.
SAP Authentication in BOE seems to work (I can import users & roles). In all 3 systems I have at least Admin or equivalent permissions. If I change the Database Configuration for this report within InfoView ("Use SSO") it does make any change (I also read somewhere a reply from I. Hilgefort that this is not necessary if BW publisher service is installed correctly).
We use SAP BW 701.06, BOE XI31FP3.4 and SAP Portal 701SP6
I publish the report from Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 with the SAP-Menu -> Save Report.
I logon to InfoView-App with my SAP-BW credentials.
    Any help appreciated!

Real solution is different, my other post is only a workaround:
    1. SNC settings in CMC were not correct (Certificate path, path to sapcrypto.dll)
    2. Relevant Serices have to run under local username
    3. Username has to be added to PSE

  • GRC Report (Request Details vs Approver Details)

    Hi All,
I want to prepare a report which gives the request number and approvers at different stages.
I found that information is available in below tables.
    1. GRACREQ - With Request ID, Request number, Request Created Date
    2. GRFNMWRTDATLG - with MSMP Instance ID, Stage Sequence Number, Stage Status,Approver User
    3. GRFNMWRTINST - with MSMP Instance ID, External Key (ACCREQ/REQUESTID)
I am not able to connect GRFNMWR* tables with GRACREQ* tables as I couldn't find any mapping.
However in GRFNMWRTINST table, I could see there is a column called "EXTERNAL KEY"
for example with value as "ACCREQ/529CEC1BA0701A30E1008000C0A8141C".
In this second part of value corresponds to Request ID in GRACREQ* tables.
I am trying to create a table join using SQVI for above mentioned 3 tables but not able to connect
    GRFNMWR* tables with GRACREQ* tables.
Someone please suggest how to connect GRFNMWR* tables with GRACREQ* tables.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sai.

    Hi Sai,
Just make use of two tables GRFNMWRTINST and GRFNMWRTDATLG you will get the required result .
In table GRFNMWRTINST give the request number in EXTERNAL_KEY_DIS and get the INSTANCE_ID . Give this INSTANCE_ID in the table GRFNMWRTDATLG , you will get the stage approvers for request .

  • Crystal Reports Server - Sub Reports requesting SQL Log In

I have a Sales report which has four subreports. The main report has parameters for year and four product groups. The year parameter and one of the product group parameters are passed to each subreport. When I run the report in Crystal Reports only one SQL log in is requested.  When the report is run from Crystal Reports Server the SQL log in for he main report is handled automatically by CR Server but the report then prompts for 4 SQL logins, one for each subreport.  I am not using integrated securirty. How can I prevent the four SQL log ins?

    Hi Tony,
From the question that you have posted, we would like to know the following things: -
    1. Are the main report and the subreports using the same database connection?
    2. Which type of viewer are you using in Infoview to view the reports?
    3. How many connections do you see in the Database Source under Process Tab in the properties of the report in CMC?
Usually this issue can be resolved by using ActiveX or Java Viewer in the Enterprise.
Please try chaning the viewer and let us know if it helps.
    Cheers!
