Report server - waiting in the queue

After launching 10 reports in a short time (DESTYPE=printer) the tenth stay current in the queue and can't be deleted until the time out.
My environnement is IAS10G / HPUX
report server 9.0.4.2.0

As you can see from the theory this alert could mean two things:
1. Too many powershell scripts are executed on agent simultaneously
2. There are scripts that takes much time to complete
First of all, you need to evaluate a script-based module (workflow). You need to find answers to following questions:
– What is the target for this script-based workflow?
– How many instances of this target class are exist on the affected computer?
– Does this script leveraging a cookdown concept?
– How long it take for script to complete?

Hi All,
CPACache refresh worked for one day and the same problem repeated again next day, but need to have parmanent fix and should know the root cause of the problem so that the problem can not be repeated again.
Is there any solution other than CPACache refresh and JDBC adapter stop and start to fix the issue.
And also found some entries in SM12 lock entry list during the same schedule time when the messages was triggered and remains for long time. Let me know whether we can delete those locks ?

SQL reporting - An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more details. (rsInternalError)

I have created an RDL file programatically. When I execute the code I get the error as mentioned below:
Error: Sub report cannot be shown.
An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more details. (rsInternalError)
When I copy and paste the code of RDL file into new RDL file and try to preview the output I get correct result.
Note: The new RDL file does not give any error if the output is seen using preview tab but it gives the error only when executed from report viewer or from internet explorer.
Any Suggestion/feedback is highly appreciated.

i created a SSRS report with shared datasets and uploaded rdl files and rsd files , while trying to map rdl file with data sets i am getting an error

The above is my log file pls find it resolve my problem,am trying to add the encryption key to my configuration seetings it will through the error like The profile you were used is temporary profile.

There is no ZENworks Reporting Server configured in the Management Zone

I have ZCM 10.1 installed on SUSE. I installed Reporting. The above is the
message when I go to reporting so here I sit. I can't seem to find anything
in the documentation to configure it other than a pointer to the SAP website.
That isn't particularly helpful.
Any pointers or advice?

Sorry it took me so long to see this reply. I started looking at your tids
and it turns out that Reporting is not installing. All I have is the xml log
which I am having trouble understanding. I have attached it as I am not sure
what to look for.

Report Server cannot load the extension

Hi,
I am developing a custom delivery extension with user interface for SQL Reporting Services. After some other issues that I was able to solve I finally reach this error here: "Report Server (MSSQLSERVER) cannot load the Custom extension."
Where "Custom" is my extension name.
I don't know where the problem is, this is all information I get. I also tried to deploy the PrinterDelivery sample which is part of the official SDK samples for SQL Reporting Services extensions. The weird thing is that this extension does not produce any
event log entries but it is also not displayed in the user interface.

Build the assembly.
Copy the assembly to the following 3 locations:

Display the report server error in the application

i have got an error while running the report from the application , the status of the report was "TERMINATED_WITH_ERROR" which come from the "REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS" built in function ,
when i go to the application server to the failed jobs i got :
Terminated with error: REP-1401: ??? ??? ???? ?? PL/SQL: 'cf_1formula'.
ORA-01403: ?? ??? ?????? ??? ??? ??????
the problem is i wan to display to the end user this error ORA-01403
not only "TERMINATED_WITH_ERROR" .....

Give a button in your web page with 'Check status' which on hitting, make an ajax call, to query the status table, and show the status in that page.

Schedule reports and wait until the report complete

I have wrote a java program to call BO SDK to schedule several crystal reports (same report, run at once with different parameters) to an unmanage disk. The program run successfully and can generate the reports. I would like to add an email notification function once all the reports are generated. How can I know the status of all the reports is completed?

goto CMC
navigate to that report.
rigth click>> Manage->>Default Settings-->>Notification. (Email Notification: )
Email notification based on:
      A job has been run successfully .
                  Configure notification message
                                           Use the Job Server's defaults
                                           Set the values to be used here:
    A job has failed to run
                   Configure notification message
                                        Use the Job Server's defaults
                                        Set the values to be used here:
I dont know about doing all this through SDKs but you can try doing this step by step frist through CMC and then going for infovie and then your java program.

How do I delete the contents of pages waiting in the queue to be loaded?

While attempt to edit a table on the last pages of my document, the InDesign program crashed. I attempted this several times, including just deleting a row at a time, but run into the same problem.
Since it was the last pages of the document (book), I just recreated those pages. The problem then became how to get rid of the contents from the old pages so they wouldn't keep trying to re-load. Is there a way to do this?
I went into support chat, but there person "helping" me was not able to assist, even when taking control of my computer. I'm REALLY frustrated and need to get this done. What can I do to fix this?

Did you try to export the table as a rtf file? You can then edit it in Word and try to get rid of the content you don't need. You'll have to recreate the table in CC when you import in again.

Reports Server/running reports on the web.

I am trying to configure my web server to run reports on the web. I have followed the instructions provided by Oracle, but some is not clear. When i try to run report on the browser, i get the following error:
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:
Oracle documentaion say the following about the steps to configure the web server:
1-Start your Web server by entering the following:
2-Start your browser.
3-Create a listener.
4-Configure your Web server mapping and note the physical and virtual directories. For example:
I have done all the steps above except creating a listener. The documentation doesnt explain that step at all.
I have created a cgi-bin directory and made it excetable and copied the rwcgi60.exe from reports server machine to the web server machine. I also copied the TNSNAMES entry for the web server from the reports server machine to the web server machine.
Here is the command i use(just trying to make sure that web CGI is responding, but it doesnt work)
http://web_server/scm/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe
Other question: On the server machine, i have 3 oracle directories: ORA81, ISUITES, 806, which one should be the home directory for the reports to work on the web??
I am using oracle 8.1.7 with 9iAS release 1.

Is it possible to wait on a queue and on a notifier at the same time?

Hi!
I am trying to implement an event-driven producer/consumer pattern with queues. The problem is that I have some value change events (e.g. coming from a slider) that I do not want to queue up; I want only the latest value change event to be processed by the consumer loop. This is because the consumer may spend longer time in executing (sometimes multiple seconds) and I want to prevent all intermediate slider events to be queued up in the meantime because I will finally write them to hardware. Therefore, a notifier would be better to use here than a queue. My question is if it is possible to make the same consumer loop wait on the queue as well as on the notifier at the same time? I will be wiring the VISA session and some other data through the consumer, so it want to avoid an extra loop that would wait on the notifier only. Or is there any other possible workaround?

It isn't really waiting on the notifier. The wait is set to 0. So if there is no new data in the notifier, instant timeout and skip the DAQ stuff.
The idea here is to send the set value (from the slider) through the notifier and send the command through the queue. When the consumer loop gets the command, it will read the notifier for the latest data point and go to work. Now if the user changes a bunch of stuff while a "long" acquisistion is happening, the notifier will keep being overwritten; it will only keep the last commanded value. The queue will get multiple commands, but only the last value will be worked on due to the notifier. The remaining commands will check the notifier, see that there's no new data, and skip to the next command.
