Reporting issue-Cost Element

Hi:
We have a report which shows Cost element hierarchy. Each cost element is compunded with Controlling area. We have 4 controlling area with costelement being same across all of them. Our user want to see a report where they can get total for cost element across all controlling areas instead of displaying each cost element 4 times as it is compounded with conrolling area.
The current report is diplayed as shown below.
Salaries & Benefits      Amount
Cost element1/CA1       $100
Costelement 1/CA2       $200
Costelement1/CA3        $300
Costelement1/CA4        $400
User wants a report as shown below
Salaries & Benefits   Amount
Cost element1        $1000
Costelement2         $2000
Is there a way to do this?

HI,
Which are the characteristics that you are inserting in the line (in query designer) ?
Because of if you insert just "Cost Element" you will not have any issue about it.

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement where customer wants a Cost Center report with Cost Element wise Subtotal and selection options required are Company Code, Cost Center, Cost Element.
    KSB1 solves the requirement, but when executed for 2 or more company codes it is taking 3 to 4 hours.
    The other alternative report we tried is S_ALR_87013611- Actual/Plan but this report gives debit and credit values in seperate columns.
    Please let me know if we can copy the report S_ALR_87013611 and change it using report writer to have the output by Cost Element wise total.
    Also please let me how we can increse the speed of KSB1 report.

    for KSB1 Report the following is my suggestion
    1. Please go to the selection criteria for the cost elements and de select the secondary cost elements in the the exclude range and try running the report this is generate the report faster.
    2. also check the date range please give the date range for 3 t months and if you want to run for multiple company codes. if you want to execute it for longer periods say 9 months or 6 months generate the report in 2 to 3 installments and download them to your excel and consilidate them in excel for your analysis

    First 2 fields (SKF+Actual - SKF Qty) we got from S_ALR_87013611 report. Then we double clicked on SKF then it will take to KSB1 transaction code(as said by you) there we got the rest of the fields.
    Currently we are developing the same Custom Report but it should show by summary i.e by Cost Element.
    Could you please tell me what Tables and Data types we need to refer?

    I just wanted to know that if there are any report(s) involving Cost element categories. Say for example, if the cost element category is provided the report fetches the cost elements associated with the category and the documents posted.

    Hi,
    There is no standard report based on cost element category, but of course, you can use, for example, KSB5 and give the selection of the cost elements you want to present. I presume, you have different number range for each category and it could be easily distinguished in the selection screen.

    Hello,
    when you plan with trx. 7KE5, activity will be PCAK.
    Report group 8A80 should show the figures correctly. When I plan with 7KE5 and afterwards run the report, the activities PCAK and RKP4 are shown.
    Maybe your report is not correct. You should import report group 8A80 from client 000 with trx. GR59. Afterwards you have regenerate the report group. Does the report afterwards show the figures?
    Have you checked with trx. 2KEE or KE5Y if the values are shown there?
    In case it is not shown in 2KEE and KE5Y - have you saved the planned values?

  • Report pianter report issue (Cost center Heirarcy issue)

    Hi,
    Please consider this issue as an emergency and reply,
    when I execute a report painter report for highest cost center heirarchy, all cost centers are appearing at level 2, (cost center group level) in the report, but when I execute the same report for each sub group of the heirarcy, cost cetner are coming at level 1 (cost center level) in the report.
    where as the same heirarcy is copied to test system and run at highest hierarchy level, to produce the same error, but it is not occuring in test system it is happening only in produciton system.
    can you please advice me which is causing the problem to the report.

    I am sorry, I am correcting the statment above, it is not all cost center that come at cost center group level when I execute the report at highest  heirarchy, only few cost centers of the cost center goups, if I execute the report at scuh sub group level, cost centers come at cost center level. Please advise.

    Internal Order 100219 is statistical order. Under cost element 500000, actual expenses posted are 8900 against planned values of 833.33. The absolute variance is (8900-833.33) is 8066.67

    I implement profit center accounting module with NewGL.
    When I execute Profit Center Report of NewGL, for example S_E38_98000088 S_E38_98000089, cost element was blanked.
    My client would like to display NewGL profit center report with cost element code and cost element text.
    I solve this problem with note 991753, after implement this note only cost element text was displayed.
    Please help to advise me how to display cost element code in NewGL Profit Center report.

    You can display CE description by setting characteristic display when executed profit center report.

    Can someone tell me if there are standard reports available that will allow me to report unbilled revenue by cost element? We've segregated our RA by fixed price and cost plus contracts. I want to provide a report that will allow me to group by cost elements for cost plus via cost, com and fee or fixed price by cost and fee. This is deep stuff :-)Can I setup KKAJ output to display what I need?

  • Varinace analysis by cost element

    My client is asking for variance analysis report by cost elements with target quantity,actual quantity,target cost and actual cost.
    we have a standard report KKBC_ORD, but it will show for each order, client is asking for more than one production order i.e production order range.
    is there any standard report available? if not what are the tables to use for preparing abap report?

    Hi Ramesh
    I guess what you are looking for is KKBC_HOE
    You need to set up a hierarchy in KKR0 designing it like: Comp Code > Plant > Material Type > Material > Prod Orders.... This way you can group your Prod orders under respective Material or Mat Group or Plant etc
    Periodically you need to run KKRC once Period end closing is done... Then Execute KKBC_HOE using your hierarchy created
    Note that After running KKRC data gets frozen and unless you run KKRC again next month, it would continue to show you the same data

    Go to GRR2.  Double-click on the row All Values under Cost Elements/Costs Centers.  Remove cost center in the pop up screen and click on the check mark to continue.  Now,  create another column for the cost center.  Bear in mind that, you can only do this in the copy you created.
    Please disregard my earlier suggestion.  Because if you do, it will change the whole format of the report and will not produce a suitable result.

    I would like to know how in SAP can we view the detail line item level wise of all the transaction posted to a cost element .
    In other words FBL3N  gives you Gl account line item display . Similarly do we have any T code to view cost element line item .
    I have chacked T code KALR but its taking time & eventually gets timed out .
    Any pointers would be appreciated .

    I don't think there is a ny specific report to cost element line item report, without taking into account a cost object.
    You can use SAP standard reports KSB1, KOB1, KE5Z to get line item reports for a Cost Element in Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders and Profit Center Accounting.

  • Report Writer Issue - Revenue Cost Element - After Upgrade.

    Hello ,
       After upgrade some of the report writers are not pulling up all the plan data.
       I found out that the revenue cost elements (cost element category - 11) are not being pulled by
       report writer in ECC 6.00, where it used to pull them in 4.6C. These postings were done to
       our budget version using KP06.
       These revenue cost elements postings are not stored in COSP. I dont have any idea in which tables
       they are stored.
       Does anyone have any clue about this.

    Its a report writer report developed here..(not standard one)
    The cost center is a revenue cost center. So when we post our revenues we post it to this revenue cost center.
    The issue is in 4.6C env it used to pull this data, but in 6.00 it is not pulling.....
